After Up-Gradation to SharePoint 2013 Web Parts Stopped Working.

I upgraded SharePoint 2013 from I also tried after upgrading web When ever I click on button it takes Sorry, something went wrong

I'm using a SP2013 standalone dev server and I can´t find some web parts like XsltListViewWebPart and Data View Web Part.
I was expecting to find a category like "Lists and Libraries" or "Authoring" but I can´t find it.
I'm a site collection admin and have standard, enterprise and publishing features activated.
Shouln´t I see those Web Parts?
I noticed that I don´t have any file "XsltListViewWebPart.webpart" on my server file system. should it exists there?

If you want to add a XsltListViewWebPart into page via UI.
In SharePoint 2010, we can find in "Lists and Libraries" category.
In SharePoint 2013, the category named "Apps".

RSS Viewer Web part not working after installing kb2767793

Hi,
I just patched our sharepoint farm with kb2767793 - after installing this CU the RSS Web part is no longer loading as expected on our pages, it just keeps trying to load forever.
If I choose to edit the page the RSS feed loads with no issues when in edit mode. When going back to published view I experience the same issue.
The symptom is only present if the page contains more web parts eg Content Query Web part. If I create a page with only the RSS viewer web part it functions as expected.
Has anyone experienced this or has any suggestions?

We have the same issue after installing the April security updates.
I opened a support case with Microsoft and they proposed these using one of these solutions (see below).
Unfortunately these did not work for us.
Summary
Page Level: add a CEWP to the page and add the following custom script to it:
Save the following JavaScript to a .txt file and upload the file to any document library in the root of the site.

We know that the Page.EnableEventValidation property is set to true（The default is true.）, Sharepoint Custom web(ASP.NET Web) validates that a control event originated from the user interface that was rendered by that control. A control registers its
events during rendering and then validates the events during postback or callback handling.
If you write client script freely,you might have to set "EnableEventValidation = false" in your C# code behind,but this method may be troublesome in SharePoint,
so the method of "sadomovalex"( http://sadomovalex.blogspot.in/) is a good idea.

I am also looking at:
1. Saving Webi reports on a SharePoint server.
2. Launching BOBJ report viewer from the SharePoint server using SOA to view these reports.
Has anyone done something similar? Any ideas and/or documentation available on this?

After update to 11.2.202.228 mz USB 1.1 web cam stop working

I have a camera from MediaTech company, it is written on it MT400 and serial number 2604050599. Before latest update it works, after install newest version of Flash Player it stop working. I tested it on http://testmycam.com as one of Adobe employee advices on forum but I have only black rectangle. On top left corner of this rectangle it is written Camera: USB PC Camera (SN9C 102) , FPS 10. I disabled Hardware acceleration but problem remains.
As I remember this camera is USB 1.1. Does new Flash Version support USB 1.1?
I have checked on Device Manager on my Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Version with SP3 device driver version it is written:
Manufacturer : Sonix
Driver date: 2004-04-02 (I can't find newer drivers on web )
Driver version: 4.6.6.1
Is it bug or Flash Player stops supporting such devices?

I pressed Allow, before pressing Allow background was grey, after Allow
it gets black. I see the name of this camera on list. I also try another
camera from Logitech (I can't remember what name was it, but one of the
newest) and everything works which suggest it is strictly related with
this specific camera which I'm using.

Hi，
So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

Web cam stopped working with Windows 7 (but works fine with Ubuntu Live CD).

Since two days my web cam stopped working. I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I have a Toshiba L505d S5992. It does not show in Device Manager and Windows Update doesn't recognize it, manually I can not install it, so my best guess it was broken.
But then I tried the LiveDVD of Ubuntu 10.10 (64 bit) and it recognized immediately my web cam and the blue light came on. I have no clue what happened with Windows 7 but it's getting very frustrating.
Any help would be very welcome at this point.

Download the webcam application for your unit from this website.
Uninstall it on the programs and features then installed the downloaded webcam application.

Creating an O365 SharePoint Online 2013 Web Part control (that is NOT on another domain or inside an IFrame)

We created SharePoint App that offers a Web Part we can add to SharePoint 2013 pages. The problem is that web part installs as an iframe pointing to the apps domain.
Two challenges in trying to impact the Page's DOM and elements and also accessing the pages URL query string parameters. Basically cross domain issues.
Is there any way to deploy a webpart that installs in-line as a component on the page like a Script Editor Web Part?
If that must be done as a sandbox solution, how can users on 100+ sites easily download and install this web part like web parts from the App catalog and Store?
BTW, How is it that a Script Editor Web Part installs in-line on the page without an iframe? Possible to reproduce this in our own App?

SharePoint 2013 apps are designed to be secure and must run outside of the SharePoint domain. They typically are HTML, JS and CSS and any custom compiled code is run on another web server and access via web services.
The Script Editor Web Part is a code based (compiled) "traditional" web part that runs in the SharePoint process. If you are working on premise (i.e. not Office 365), and your SharePoint admins will permit custom code to deployed to their servers,
then you can still create SharePoint 2010 style web parts. These can be deployed as "full trust" web parts or sandbox web parts. Full trust web parts are installed on the web servers while sandbox web parts need to be uploaded to a gallery
in each site collection (not each site). If your 100+ sites are in a single site collection, then only one upload is needed. If you have 100+ site collections then you could use PowerShell to deploy the sandbox solution to all of them.

How do I setup SharePoint 2013 web applications for 2 TB of data?

I know Microsoft recommend to have 1 App pool with 1 Web App and 1 Content Database.
The issue is that in my company SharePoint is going to be a file repository with about 2 TB of data. Management wants that to happen.
I was thinking to have 1 App pool and about 18 Web App for each department so that it can hold all that data with a maximum of 200 GB per Content DB in 2 SQL clustered servers.
Is that OK? Is this best practices?

Yes, in SharePoint it is suggested to not allow to grow content DB more than 200 GB. Now will your environment starts with 2TB (after migration) or it will steadyly migrate eventually 2TB data. If so that you can think of Host heard site collection with
individual content db.
I am sure that you know that SharePoint is not only a DMS but also come with variety of useful service like Search, Workflow, Forms, Social etc. Thease all are going to be a important tool in your organisation. So planing for other services and hardware
is also very important.

Cacade Sharepoint List Web Part

I created a custom view and insert 2 SP List Filter to filter the list content.
The 2 SP List Filters are related, for example:
Filter #1 - list of companies.
Filter #2 - list of employees.
I would like the Filter #2 to display only the list of employees for the selected company in Filter #2.
How to accomplish this?

Based on your description, I understand what you want is that when you click a column in the list of companies, the list of employees display the
Corresponding items.
You can implement your requirement as the following:
1.Create a companies list and create a column named company.
2.Create a employees list and it also contains a column named company.
3.Add the two lists into one page.
4.On the page, click page ribbon --click edit , at companies list web part, choose edit web part--Connection--Send Row of Data to-- choose
employees--choose Get filter Values from--choose "Provider Field Name: company (from companies list), Consumer Field Name: company (from employee list)"--finish.
5.The companies list web part will automatically add a column named Select, click select, now what you want is finished.
