ALV for fields from multiple tables and make them editable

Hi,
I am working on a forecasting report. We have created few custom table e.g. store forcaset detail for whole year month wise. tables are say sales data, budget data, forcast data etc.
Now i need to make a report based on monthwise based on above mention table.
eg.o/p looks like:
column name                     type desc monthapr monthmay .......
table forcast                      Qty sales    100          150
table budget/sales             amt   amou    20.50    130.50
table sales vs forcast       amt   amount 3000     50000
-Now i don't know how to display data from multiple table in single ALV list that to with different field type.
-2nd issue is i need to make only perticuler row editable so that user can chage data.
-3rd when user change data and press calulate button - it should calculate data for future month - i got formula for that and disply the calulated data.
- 4th if user like the forcast data then when press save - change data should update dbtable.
Is this all possible with simple abap FM Or need to use ABAPOO.
I will appericiate all expert help.

How do I get a dbms_xmlgen.context to query from multiple tables? I have been able to make it work with using one table only, but not with multiple tables.
And how to get the || (concat) to work within my query for my output to an xml file?

for the concat do I use xmlconcat?No, XMLConcat is used to concatenate XMLType fragments.
The || operator will do fine, but you must escape any single quote inside the string :

Getting values from a table and concatenate them

Hi All,
I think somebody out there should be able to help me.
I have a list of contract numbers the user has to type in.
I've created a table where user can add as many rows as needed. Each row is a contract number.
Once completed, I have to concatenate all of the contract numbers, separated with commas, so that I can send them to a floating field within a text box.
It should look like this.
.....1234, 2345, 3456 and 5678 (assuming these four values were keyed in by the user in the table form)
Anybody can help me explaining how to concatenate the values and put them into the floating field?

You can concatinate them easily but getting them into a floating field on the same form will be an issue. The floating field can only be filled when th eform is rendered and data is placed on the form. Floating fields are not interactive...so after the data load they are turned into text....they are not even fields anymore.

BI - ABAP To pick the field from One table and link with 2nd table

First of all the key for BKPF consists of:
BUKRS, BELNR and GJAHR so I think you should use all key fields in your SELECT statement:
select single * from BKPF into I_BKPF
where BUKRS = l_s_DTFIAP_3-BUKRS and
      BELNR = l_s_DTFIAP_3-BELNR and
      GJAHR = l_s_DTFIAP_3-GJAHR.
And why do you test SY-SUBRC after CLEAR ?
Your IF statement should be after SELECT...
And last but not least when you are using SELECT SINGLE you always get only one record so what is the purpose of LOOP statement ?

Delete records from multiple tables and add delay in execution

Dear All,
My Database is Oracle 11gR2 on Linux.
I have to schedule delete in 5 tables. For this i will write a procedure with delete queries and schedule the procedure to run daily in night.
I want to give delay in the execution of delete queries within procedure? How can i add this functionality within a procedure?
I don't want to lock the tables as other queries may be accessing the same table meanwhile.

How to capture data in a field from a table then insert them it to a destination table

I could be misunderstanding your requirements, but I get the feeling you're misunderstood. I can see the exam_id (better named parent_id) acts as a foreign key to exam_id (better named fk_parent_id) in the child table.
Without seeing the data though, it's not immediately obvious how you identify the relationship between the two while loading. When the data is supplied, what is the format of the third, source table? Does this include parent and child as single entries including
a relationship ie normalised data?
I don't know if this is useful or not, but when inserting single records into a table with an identity key:
insert into table1 (col2, col3) select 'text1','text2'
insert into table2 (col2, col3, FK, col5) select 'text1','text2',@@identity, 'text3'
@@identity provides the last inserted value. Obviously for larger scale operations this isn't what you're looking for.
In the event your staging table happened to hold parent, child and a source record ID (identity column in staging, but just a secondary indexed column in the other tables) however, you would have the rather easy job of:
update child
set exam_id = parent.exam_id
from child inner join parent on child.source_id = parent.source_id

I have a Problem , I.e. How to add Two filelds i.e. reorderpoint and maximum stock level in Standard data source 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR for Master data 0MAT_PLANT.
If Extract structure doesnt contain these fields then I Can go for Data source enchancement. Its ok.
But this Extract structure(BIW_MARC_S) is having these fields reorderpoint and Maximumstock level and not showing me in Data source 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR and also not showing me in Hide and selcetions, if it shows me in Hide (selected ) then I can able to change it. (By unselcet check box from Hide).
These fields reorder point and maximum stock level should be maintianed as attributes of 0MAT_PLANT. (IN BW SIDE)
Friends another Problem is in Bw side my client want it should display as info-objects. Is it possible ?
Because these attributes are key-figure attributes and K.F. attributes cant be maintain as navigantional attributes.
Any help would be really appreciated.

My doubt is these fields already available in Extact structure biw_marc_s but not available in data source 0mat_plant_attr.
I can go for data source enhancement when there is no fields availble in Extract structe right.
but fieds reorder point (mabst) & maximum stock level (minbe) are available in Extract Structure.
2) IN bw side i can create these two infoobjects (reorder point and maximum stock level) as key figure infoobjects but they can't be maintained as navigatinal attributes to act as info object individually right.
Please help me out or Please pass through this message to your freinds .

Fetch only required fields from SQL Table

We have a table like below which will get data thru a job.
And I'm writing a Job/SP which will fetch 4 fields from that table and send them in a Email to Admins informing how many new employee are added newly.
How to loop thru these fields and not only there might be a chance where we will have 100 records and I need to take only first 30 of them and send.

Empname
Deptname
Designation

Records from multiple tables

I have a method that has to access records from multiple tables and store them all in a file. It's something like this:

My problem is that I get an "Invalid cursor" error the second time I enter the loop. I've been reading up on cursors but I still don't know what to do. Can I use ResultSet to return multiple rows from multiple tables? If not, what can I use? Please help!

SAP GRC 10.1 AMF No data selected when adding duplicate fields from separate tables for configurable data sources

Hi There,
In SAP GRC 10.0, our team had an issue where we could not add duplicate fields from separate table (see ERROR: Select Currency/UoM field for the selected analyzed fields). This was resolved by the SAP Note 1904313/ 1904314 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1904313).
We upgraded our system to SAP GRC 10.1 SP05 and could now add the duplicate fields from separate tables. SAP Note 1904313/ 1904314 was part of SAP GRC 10.1 SP03 so it makes sense that we, in a higher version (SP05), would be able to do this.
The issue now is when we add the duplicate fields from different tables and run the Ad-hoc Query to test if the data source works correctly, the No Data Selected warning persists. This means that the data source provides no data for analysis, which is required to write our business rules.
Below is an example:
Basic data source with just one currency reference field EBAN-WAERS.
When you run the Ad-Hoc Query you receive data.
Basic data source with second currency reference field EKKO-WAERS.
When you run the Ad-Hoc Query no data is found.
Please also make reference to the following thread logged by my colleague (ERROR: Select Currency/UoM field for the selected analyzed fields)
Any assistance to receive data with duplicate fields from separate tables will be highly appreciated.

Count(*) , group by with multiple columns from multiple tables involved

Hi all,
I am relatively new to SQL.
Currently I have these few requirements, to display quite a number of fields from 3 tables for display of report.
In my query I need to:
1.) count(*)
2.) select quite a number of fields from table 1,2,3
However when count(*) is used, grouped by has to be used to.
How do I actually use group by with so many columns to be selected?
I have actually used the query below, but the count(*) returns 1, the correct output should be 3 instead.
select count(*), table1.col1, table1.col2, table1.col3, table2.col3, table2.col4, table2.col6, table3.col1, table3.col4, table3.col5
from table1, table2, table3
where
<conditions>........................

I know this group by statement looks very unrefined. How can I select multiple fields from different tables, and yet get the count(*) correctly?

Hmm yes it actually does return count as 1 for each row. But there are 3 rows returned. E.g.

If I put the count(*) outside, it returns 3 , the correct output

XDK Export in XML from multiple tables

Hello everybody,
I have to export data from an Oracle database to a XML file and then generate the Java classes.
1)
I used XSU successfully with one table. My problem is to retrieve data not from a unique table but from multiple tables linked by relations.
I wanted to do this using XSU to retrieve data from the database and create the corresponding XML schema.
That seems to be possible but I need help for database relations.
Can someone help me to explain if it is possible to export from multiple tables (and if yes how)?

Having my XML schema then I will have to generate Java objects. How is it possible with the XML Class Generator for Java?
Does anybody have experience and samples?

Aditional field in standard table and screen

Hi friends.
I'd like to know how to add a new field in a table and make it visible in standard transaction.
In this case, the table is EBAN and transaction is ME51N, ME52N and ME53N. This new field must be includded in transaction items grid.
I've already added field to CI... include in EBAN but this new field does't appear in standard transaction.
I've already saw variant and this new field doesn't appear there too.
Any idea ? Any SAP Note (I hadn't find any sap note yet) ?

P.S.: This note is to releases 46c and 47, BUT even I'm in release ECC 6.0 I must do the same: I've already created CMOD prject, includes and subscreen 0111 like SAP NOTE ask to do. This SAP NOTE has entire example on how to add this subscreen and encoding includes of TOP, PBO and PAI to read and save data of Zfields of EBAN. It's nice and easy to understand.

Select from 2 tables and insert same data into 2 other tables(BPEL Process)

Hi All,
Please suggest me how to select from 2 tables and insert the same data into 2 tables. I am successful in selecting data from 2 tables, but i am not able to insert the same data into 2 other tables. There is foreign key constraint between 2 tables.

I have created DB Adapter for selecting from 2 tables and also DB adapter for insert and i have created parent child relationship between 2 tables.
I am getting this error
