Apex 4.1 Form and Report on Web Service Report displays nothing

Hello I created and tested a webservice using the test feature in Apex 4.1.
I know the results is a string of 1 row.
I created a Form and Report on Web Service. When I run the form there is nothing displayed in the Reports section its just blank.
If I run the sql from the results region I get no data found.
Is the problem the returned data is not stored in the collection?

What would be the reason for the following.
Testing the webservice in apex returns values.
However when I run Form and Report on Web Service Report if I query the collection it is always empty?
Does anyone have any experience on this issue? Is it a bug? Please some hints I have been trying for two weeks without success.

Hello Ribhi,
For a readon I don't understand you have to start your migration project with uploading a Form (XML version). When you've done that you can add other types of source files, like Libraries, Object Libraries, Menu's and....Reports.
So it seems (now) that you MUST have an Oracle Form to start with.

Hi,
1. OAS Forms and Repors Services run on Oracle HTTP Server (OHS). You can use OHS to connect to Apex
2. Apex is not installed in the OS, its installed inthe Oracle Database. In other words, you install is by connecting to sqlplus as sys as sysdba
3. Install Apex in the instance that is holding the tables and views that are being used in the Oracle Forms/Reports.

APEX:Getting error while creating form and report on webservice: ORA-20001: Unable to create form on table. ORA-02263: need to specify the datatype for this column.

I am using Apex 4.2.2.00.11
am using the following description to create a web service reference:
web reference :REST
Name :Yahoo Map
URL :http://local.yahooapis.com/MapsService/V1/mapImage
HTTP Method: GET
Basic Authentication: No
Add Parameter:

Output Format: XML
XPath to Output Parameters : /Result

Then i tried to create form and report on webservice:
Web Service Reference Type: Yahoo Map
Operation: doREST
All the fields i keep as default
I tick the checkbox (url)in report Parameter
After clicking next whereever required i click create button
I get the following error
ORA-20001: Unable to create form on table. ORA-02263: need to specify the datatype for this column.
Please someone help to solve this as i need to fix it urgently.

Looks like there is a 127-column limit on the number of report columns supported when using that wizard. Do you have more than that?

I have this web service on server A ( an exposed report as web service )

and did not get error which indicates that the Network resources are available.

How to install Discoverer 11g on Web Logic Server with Forms and Reports 11g Rel2

We finally started to migrate from Oracle iAs 10g Release 2 to Oracle Forms and Reports 11g Release 2 using Web Logic. I don't see an option to install Discoverer on the server.
My OS: windows 2008 R2
Installed Web Logic 10.3.6
Forms & Reports: 11.1.2.2.0_64 (64 Bit Forms)
How do I install Discoverer Plus in 11g? All I can find is Discoverer 11g Desktop/Administrator to run on User work Station. We were using discoverer Plus in 10g iAS.

How to deploy Forms and Reports from 6i to Web Base

I am using Forms 6i in client/server mode, I want to upgrade my platform to Forms 10g web base. I know that I have to install Application Server, however, I found that there are so many options in the download page, and, I can only find the WebLogic Server.
I only need to deploy Forms and Reports, what is the minimum requirements (I means what Oracle software) I have to purchase.
Can you provide also the download link? any document can teach me how to deploy Forms and Reports? (only Forms and Reports)

I have tried running Forms/Reports 6i servers on Solaris 8. It was different than using the 9iAS EE forms/reports services - but the concept is similar. I also used whitepapers that I downloaded from Metalink which were explaining the client/server and the web form design differences (such as when-mouse tringgers won't work in web forms, etc).

for development, you need to install Oracle Developer
Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.

How to deploy existing forms and reports on the web

I have 6i forms and reports within our environment, and we are running client/server architecture, by installing forms and reports runtime on each client PC's. We would like to get rid of this by deploying forms and reports on the web, without zero coding. Can any one suggest and guide me through the process with proper security mechanism enabled along with.

We have a develpment 10g AS environment setup made,
1) But we are really confused how to present the forms and reports.
We have around 250 forms and reports running on client/server architecture. All these forms/reports have been copied to a fileshare and access control is restricted by folder security.
2) How to deploy forms - entries within formsweb.cfg with Named Configuration sections.
3) How to deploy reports, as to were to copy the .rep files.

Load Balancing Forms and Reports with Web Cache

We are planning to add a second OracleAS 10g middle-tier application server to an existing 10g middle-tier.
Both middle tiers will provide Forms and Reports.
Users must pass through two static HTML pages before starting Forms.
We plan to use Web Cache to load-balance (probably using round-robin) between the two middle-tiers.
Does anyone see any problems with this solution?
All comments/suggestions welcome.

You could also load balance the two OC4J's using standard servlet mechanisms. I know that there exists a couple of good notes on Metalink. Go and do a search.

You need to have oracle Application server installed for this. Then configure you apps server and port thr forms and reports in the directory created.

Forms 6i means you need Oracle9iAS V1.0.2
Oracle9i Forms means you need Oracle9iAS v2
Both of them are web enabled.

Urgent : Deploring Forms and reports on the web

I have deployed forms on the web using Forms6i(Forms Server).
I have a criteria window(Forms). Based on the criteria selected by the user i want to call the reports wo run on the web. Calling of reports is using Run_Product built in, with parameter list.
Will this method work are i have to call the reports from HTML alone.
Whether reports can be called from the forms(applet) running on the browser.
