Building a war file with a folder structure
How do a build a war file with a folder structure? I have code that creates JarEntrys and writes jar files and resource files etc. to the war. When I look at the war that gets created using winzip the path names for all the entries are correct and everything appears correct. When I try to deploy this to Tomcat nothing deploys. It appears my war is in a folder structure. How can a build this folder structure in the war? When I look at a good war using BeyondCompare I see folders and files in the folders just like I would see looking at a directory on my system. When I use BeyondCompare to view one of my "bad" war files that I have created everything is in the root. There are no folders and no folder structure. I am using the java.util.jar API to create the war but I don't see any methods or any API that will let me build up any sort of folder structure. It seems like I am missing something basic here.
command is same for creating jar/war/ear.
u simply need to execute jar /? for detail.

How to develop repository manager with initial folder structure
Hi 2 all!
I wonder if it is possible to create new repository programmatically with defined folder structure. I'm interested in solutions when repository manager is works with db or file system. Can you provide any example or tell me where can I define my structure?
thnxHi Nata!
Basicly this task consists of two steps:
1. Deploy a new configuration object for the repository manager
2. Create the intial folder structure
Step one is simple. Here is the configuration object of the repository manager for /documents. It's been exported from the KM configuration by using the standard export mechanisms. This can be included into a portal application project in Netweaver Studio.

This is a DB repository. The config object for a filesystem repository might differ.
Step 2, the creation of the initial file structure may be done with in two different ways:
a) Include a Repository Service with your repository, which creates the folder structure on the first access of your repository.
b) Include a Portal app which has to be called once to create the folder structure.
For more info about using the API to create km folders take at look at this:

Generating war files with jdev
Hi,
I am trying to generate a war file with jdev and wish to exclude the connections.xml file from the war file. Is there any settings in the xxx.deploy file that I can change in jdev to do this?
I am using 9i (v 9.0.3.4)
ThanksDoesn't it come with a file called assembly.bat which launches the Java assembly tool. Webphere 4 does.
That makes everything a lot easier.

How can I upload multiple files or whole folder structures in one go to the Cloud?
How can I upload multiple files or whole folder structures to the Cloud in one go? Uploading lots of files singularly does not help my workflow.
All help is much appreciated.
Paul.Hi,
Uploading multiple files is browser specific.
Internet explorer won't allow to select and upload multiple files on the cloud.
If you want to upload multiple files then you have to login to Cretaive cloud using Firefox or Chrome web browser, then you can select multiple files in the Browse window to upload.
You can't upload folders directly.

Build a war file from cf 8 standard
hi all,
i need to deploy cf 8 standard edition by tomcat. i've built
a war-file from the developer edition, but because of the
limitations of the dev edition, i need to upgrade this to a
standard edition. unfortunately it seems not to be possible to
enter the license key in the adminstrator (don't ask me why, adobes
support had not anwered yet) , so i need to build a war file. is it
possible to make a war from a usual cf standard installation? as
far as i've seen i need to pack wwwroot into a war.
thanx!I believe you're going to need the Enterprise edition to do
what you want to do, and still have any glimmer of a shine of hope
of support. -
Working with raw .MTS files, no AVCHD folder structure
Hi, I've backed up raw .MTS files to Blu-ray data discs, just the files not the AVCHD folder structures.
I've read about this and everyone says it's not the right way of doing things, that it requires the entire ACVHD folder structure to function.
However when I load these files back onto my Mac from the discs they import just fine into FCPX 10.1.1 natively or optimized. I've had no issues with it at all so why are people so against that way of doing things?
Just curious.saddact wrote:
Can you explain why they would have gone through multiple generations of compression?
Your camera(s) shot in a certain format. It could use any of a number of codecs – including variants of MPEG2, H.264, whatever. So you import that into FCP and edit – either natively or in optimized. Then you export. When you export, it recompresses – in this case to a fairly high bit rate version of H,264. But to be clear, it always recompresses – even if your camera used H,264 to acquire the media, and you don't optimize, it will recompress in exporting to Blu Ray specs. Inevitably, there is some loss of infomation. It may or may not be a detectable loss.

ADF11g - integration with OIM -folder structure for OIM configuration files
Hi All,
I'm trying to make call to a remote OIM using OIM API, from my ADF backing bean onclick of a button
on the JSPX page.
I'm able to compile the page, but the issues I'm facing is that I'm not able to read the configuration details
specified for OIM connectivity from the OIM configuration files (authwl.conf, xl.policy, xlconfig.xml).
So do any one know what is going to be the folder structure for these config files (OIM), when we are integrating to
this API from ADF backing bean.
Thanks All .
Thanks & Regards,
Dharmathej MHi Daniel, thanks for the response but i readed that doc before asking here and that's one of the reasons of my question.
On the first line of the doc it says *"This appendix includes instructions that describe how to configure WebSphere so that Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) and Oracle Identity Analytics (OIA) can be installed on separate servers."*
It assumes both products are on different servers and also the creation of an new profile and node for oia.
WAS_NDS_HOME/AppServer/bin/manageprofiles.sh -create*
-templatePath WAS_NDS_HOME/AppServer/profileTemplates/managed*
-profileName oia-managed01 -profilePath WAS_NDS_HOME/profiles/oia-managed01*
-nodeName oia-managed01-node01 -hostname hostname*
Integrate the OIA node to the OIM Cell by typing the following command on the OIA Machine:*
cd OIM_HOME/xellerate/setup; ./xlAddNode.sh oia-managed01 oia-managed01-node01 192.168.21.9 8883 xelsysadm password1*
Our intention is to use same machines, servers,... oim is using so we don't need to use extra machines or create extra websphere objects.
Any tips on that?

Project librarys not included in WAR file with deployment (WEB-INF/lib)
Using JDeveloper 9.0.5.2
Project Libraries are not included in WEB-INF/lib when deploying. Although the files are selected in the deployment file at 'Contributors'. Within the 'filter' the .jar files are missing.
To solve it i have to register again (i have already made the librarys project library's) the files within Tools->ManageLibrarys as user library's.
The other workaround is to make the library's System Library's within the project.
In my opinion it is a bug that you must include the project librarys as user librarys within the 'LibraryManager'Unfortunately no, the issue with output folder being ignored occurs only with example apps bundled with Workshop product.
You can try the following workaround:
- In Workshop, Project > Properties - Java Build Path, switch to Source tab - "Remove the source folder listing" - Click OK and dismiss Properties window.
- Project > Properties - Java Build Path > Source Tab, add the same source folder entry - Click OK
- Export as WAR
With this you should see the class files bundled under output directory structure (Ex: WEB-INF/classes). -
I'm deplying WAR file, but temp folder isn't updating
Hi,
I'm using WL 9.2.2.
How and when does the temp folder to which WL extracts the WAR file (looks something like $WL_HOME/servers/servername/tmp/_WL_user/myapp/tptld5/war) get updated? I'm noticing that when I re-build my WAR, deploy it and then go check the contents of the temp directory, the WEB-INF/lib and WEB-INF/classes aren't updated with the latest content.
Your input is appreciated, - DaveIt may be best to recreate the folder and the smart playlists from scratch.

Hi,
1] Remove following from server.xml
<Context path="/SEA" docBase="SEA" debug="0"/>
2] Paste SEA.WAR (test WAR file) into /webapps of TOMCAT
3] Start Tomcat Server - This will create SEA folder under webapps
4] Stop server.
5] Add following to server.xml
<Context path="/SEA" docBase="SEA" debug="0"/>
6] Start Tomcat Server
7] Access the URL.
This will work. Somehow Tomcat does not extract war file contents which are mentioned in server.xml.
I have Apache Tomcat 4.0.3 and faced this problem. The above solution works for it.
Regards,

http://localhost:8080/SEA/index.jsp
But I got error message:
Apache Tomcat/4.0.3 - HTTP Status 404 -

What was happenning?
Anyone can help me?

They require Java EE 1.5 and JDK 6. -
Trouble using cfincludes with multi-folder structure
We are rebuilding our site using <cfinclude> to pull in
standard headers and footers for each page. The headers and footers
each have many links in them. How can we deal with the fact that
the pages calling the cfincludes are not all at the same level in
the folder structure? How can we create one include file for the
header and one include file for the footer that can each be used
throughout the site regardless of the level in which the calling
page is located? Thank you.
Cheers!
JamesHow can we create one include file for the header and one

Create the one header.cfm and the one footer.cfm. Include
them in Application.cfm/OnRequestEnd.cfm or in Application.cfc. -
Files that contain folder structures (i.e. Quicken) general questions
My iMac hard drive just recently gave out. I've been backing up with Mozy, and I thought that was great. Until I tried to restore the Quicken file. This file is actually a directory structure inside. Unfortunately, Mozy treated this file as a folder, and I don't know how to combine all it's elements back into the original form.
First, what is this file called in OS X speak? I read about these files years ago while looking into Quicken alternatives, but I can't find those posts again (yeah, I really wish I had converted to something else before now)
Second, is there a way I can combine all it's pieces back into a single file like it was?
I'm sure that when I get my new drive in my iMac and go to restore my entire home folder, I'll find other files like this; so it's for more than just Quicken that I want to know how to do this. They are not files as you think. They really are folders that are displayed as a file. So, there is really no way to put them "back together." If you name the folder with the appropriate extension, it will display as a single file. Generally, these are referred to as Packages.

How to import files and convert folder structure to collections hierarchy?
My RAW files are organised on disc by date, e.g.
2013
01
02
etc
2014
01
02
etc
2015
01
2015-01-05 Family outing
2015-01-27 Walk along the Canal
etc
02
2015-02-01 Visiting granny
2015-02-05 Golf
2015-02-07 Skating competition
etc
I would like to batch import these into Lightroom (Lightroom CC) and have the folder structure above replicated in Collection Sets and Collections (i.e. one collection set for each year, and within each one have a collection set per month, and within that individual collections for the folders)
Is there a way to make this happen automatically?
Many thanks,
/alanHi.
Trash the iPhoto Library folder that you created on your Mac, or rename it "iPhoto Library damaged" if you may need some of its contents. Copy the iPhoto Library folder from the backup into your Pictures folder. Hold down the Option key as you launch iPhoto and select "Choose Library" from the dialog. Navigate to the good iPhoto Library folder and open. iPhoto should launch and open your library in exactly the same condition it was in when the backup was made. If all goes well you don't have to import anything.
If the library is still missing items, you can try a database rebuild. Hold Command and Option while you launch, select the first 3 options in the dialog, and rebuild. This can fix a library with a slightly damaged database.
If the library still isn't working you may have to create a new library (Option-Launch, select "Create") and import your Originals folder from the backup library. This will give you the pictures back without creating duplicates, but your albums and other items will not be recovered.
Regards.
