Can someone look over my short code?
The constructor won't allow me to use the variable I am passing in to it through my main class for my arrayList size.
Method class:
public class CList {
public CList(int d) {
int index = d;
int[] arrayList = new int[index];
public void add(int d, int i) {
arrayList[i] = d;
}Main class:
import javax.swing.*;
import java.util.*;
public class C {
public static void main(String[] args) {
int index = 0;
String inputString = JOptionPane.showInputDialog(null, "Please enter so integers: ");
Scanner console = new Scanner(inputString);
while (console.hasNext()) {
console.next();
index++;
CList myList = new CList(index);
Scanner consoleArray = new Scanner(inputString);
int i = 0;
while (consoleArray.hasNext()) {
myList.add(Integer.parseInt(console.next()), i);
i++;

Just move declaration of index out of the constructor. Then you'll have the declaration in the same scope where you are trying to access it.public class CList {
int index;
public CList(int d) {
index = d;
And how does that help where he allocates the array?
I know you're trying to help, but as I've observed from this as well as many other posts by you, you're just way off. You're really doing a disservice here.

Can anyone explain me the short code given here...
Hi...
Below is given a code and its output is Hi from 1.
Can anyone provide me an explanation for this... ie why the "String a" method is called and not "Object a".
public class Test {
public static Object a(Object two)
System.out.println("Hi from 2");
return "";
public static String a(String one)
System.out.println("Hi from 1");
return "";
public static void main (String[] args) {
System.out.print(a(null));
}x is not an Objectand
x is an Object variabledo not conflict.
The second statement says that x is a variable, the first says it's not an object. Object's are not variables. What did I say wrong? I will agree that it can get exhausting trying to keep terminology accurate when discussing Java, as the desire to keep things short can sometimes lead to technically incorrect statements.
If someone asks a question about code like this:
Foo f = new Foo();
int i = 10 + f;I would say "you can't just add f to 10, since f is a Foo, not an int". I would be technically incorrect, as f is not a Foo, it is a variable that points to a Foo object. But not many would care about this, as this technicality isn't relevant to the discussion. In this thread it obviously is relevant, but it's still exhausting trying to be 100% accurate about such things. -
Can someone help me with this code?
Hi all,
I have a Flash component that links to a gallery, and I
understand that I can create buttons to point to multiple
galleries. (waiting too long for support from the suppliers)
The User Guide says that I can use the following to create
the connection:
myThumbnailer2.loadGallery(24);
That won't work, and it says that I need to include it in an
onclipevent. I have no idea what i am doing and I was hoping
someone could tell me what to script to get the text button I
created to run this.
Help would really be appreciated.
HughHi Hugh,
You are right in that you can link to other galleries using
the ID number (but, I assume, only TN2Admin (fCMSPro gallery
document) defined galleries) with the code supplied.
I think this may help - I'm a newbie with actionscript and I
know nothing about Flashloaded so I may be way off beam here,
but....
First define a variable, this will be used in the 'show'
(that's show, not load) gallery element of your code:
var galNum: Number;
Make as many buttons as required to launch a gallery (you say
"each button opening one of several galleries" so I assume you want
1 gallery per button) and give each an instance name.
You then write the relevant code for each button function
(assuming once more that the buttons are in the same frame) using
the instance name (I use a separate layer in the frame to write
actionscript and try not to attach code directly to objects - which
then leads me to say yes you can put all the different buttons code
in one frame)....
myLoadGalBtn1.onRelease = function () {
myThumbnailer2.loadGallery(24);
galNum = 24;
myLoadGalBtn2.onRelease = function () {
myThumbnailer2.loadGallery(25);
galNum = 25;
notice the buttons have different instance names (the 1 &
2 at the end - but you can call them what you like).
Then you can use other code supplied to actually show the
gallery (using the variable generated in each button click). Some
code from Flashloaded will be along the lines of:
myThumbnailer2.showGallery(25);
so my guess is you can replace the actual number with the
variable galNum inside the brackets to use the number generated by
whatever button was pressed, like:
myThumbnailer2.showGallery(galNum);
Cheers

Why can't I use USSD short code *300?
I am trying to access a service that runs on a USSD gateway with short code *300# but I am getting error "error performing request, Unknown error". Why is this so?
In an inline renderer, the compiler knows which document will be the “outerDocument” so it sets up special code to assign that value. I think you can use parentDocument or owner.document

How can I text to a short code number
I am trying to send a text to a short number code and as I enter the number in contacts 474 shows as 4 74 so it just won't send
Is anyone able to help me please.As sberman said, create it by typing the short code in, and then do not delete that from the Messages app. You could also try to just add it in the notes field of the phone company's contact if you like, see if that will allow you to copy and paste the number, but based on what I said earlier regarding regional settings, you cannot add the number without the formatting.

// setTimeout("doAsepTime()", 1000);Hi. I'm new to Java myself, but I've noticed a few things in your code..you have a bunch of methods inside the braces of your main method, which cannot work. Additional methods must be placed outside the main method, after the ending brace. But actually, if this is a secondary class and these methods will be called from a different class, which it looks to me to be, then you wouldn't need a main method at all. The class variables should go right after the opening brace of the class declaration and then the rest of the methods can be placed after those variables. Try this..
public class Date
int day;
int month;
int year;
public Date(int day, int month, int year)
setDay(day);
setMonth(month);
setYear(year);
public void setDay(int myDay)
day =myDay;
public void setMonth(int myMonth)
month =myMonth;
public void setYear(int myYear)
year =myYear;
public int getDay()
return day;
public int getMonth()
return month;
public int getYear()
return year;
public String displayDate()
return getMonth() + "/" + getDay() + "/" + getYear();
Sorry it that's hard to read, I just copied and pasted it, but all I did was eliminate the declaration of the main method, the opening brace, and the closing brace (second to last one at the bottom).
Hope this helps..Take care. -
Can someone tell me where my code is going wrong
Hi I am trying to save the information in a jtextfield and then reopen that data at a later date in the same jtextfield. I have put the code in and it runs but when I try to save the jtextfield it does not create a file so when I try to reopen it there is no file to open as none was made, but i can get the save filechooser and open filechooser to open just not do what I want them to.
Thanks the Lord of the realm.

please can you be more specific I am new at filechoosers and I am unsure of you reply although I am grateful for it though.I can see you are using an IDE. I agree, it looks so easy but the code under an IDE-generated GUI can be so complicated.
I'm no expert, but I can tell you that I started with java.io.File, java.io.PrintWriter, and java.util.Scanner for simple I/O. It's only now that I am hard-coding GUI components even though I use an IDE.
My unsolicited advice is to run through those three classes first, preferably as book topics, so that you can get a feel for file I/O. -
Can someone look at my crash report? Photoshop CC 2014 crashes when I go to print a file
I am on a Mac, Mavericks 10.9.3, and have an Epson 3880. I have deleted and re-added my printer, I have deleted and redownloaded its drivers, I have updated the graphics card drivers, I have signed in and out of Creative Cloud, nothing seems to work. It's been going on since I've updated, except on a once in a blue moon occasion when I open PS CC 2014 for the first time of the day and try to print a file.... on these two rare occasions, it worked, I got my dialog box and was able to print my order (I am a small business, so this is exasperating!) but when I went to print a second file each time, I was right back to the whole program crashing the second I clicked the Print button (File > Print.... the word Print, I mean, not the action to print: I don't even get as far as the dialog box/window to click that).
Here is the crash report just now so I can show what would have been sent to Adobe (I've sent dozens, so didn't send this one). Can anyone tell from it what is causing my crash? --

I can print with Lightroom, there is nothing wrong with the printer, or the file. But I want to print with Photoshop without a crash. Besides, Lightroom doesn't give me access to all of my print settings.
Hoping someone can help, I"m exasperated..... -
Fairly new to cisco ASA 5505 - Can someone look through my config?
Hi.
Can some one tell me if I did the NAT part right? Both dynamic and static.
To be able to reach one vlan from another I created a Nat between them, is this the right way to do it?
I can still limit the access between the vlans based on the access list.
I also getting slow throughput over the VPN tunnel. Is there something wrong with my config. I used the wizard to set it up. There is also a cisco asa5505 on the other end.
If there is some thing else that seems wrong, please let me know.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated!

: endI was just wondering if this is the way to do the "connection" between vlans.. or should it be routed?
The traffic between the vlan is working as intended. There are not much traffice only some RDP connection and some printing jobs.
But i'm getting some of these errors: (not alle like this, but portmap translation creation failed)

On the "Oracle Portal Navigator" page under the "Content Area" tab someone deleted the "Site" portlet. How do I add the "Site" portlet back to the page?
I clicked on the customize page and tried to find the portlet to add but it is not listed. I then went to the portlet repository to see if it was expired or something but it was not there.
There is a "Content Areas" portlet that lets you select the content area to go to, but the navigate button takes you back to the "Oracle Portal Navigator" page to the "Content Area" tab.
The same thing happens when you go to the Admin section of a site and try to see the categories for that site. I can't edit my categories anymore.
They point to "Oracle Portal Navigator" page showing the "Content Area" tab, which is no longer the site portlet.
Any ideas?
Jeff Dalgliesh
PS I know its called the "Site" portlet because on A DIFFERENT portal server if I click the customize link on the "Oracle Portal Navigator" page under the "Content Area" tab that is the name it shows the Provider is "Oracle Portal" and the portlet is called "Site". IE "Oracle Portal: Site"

Are you on the EA release? The production versions (3.0.6.6.5 and 3.0.7.6.2) specifically don't allow these portlets to be deleted.

Either way, you can check whether the portlet instance exists by querying the WWPOB_PORTLET_INSTANCE_FLAT$ table. On the production release it is page_id=3 and portlet_id=23. If the row is not there, then you can reinsert it using the data from your other instance. The following statement worked on the production version:
insert into wwpob_portlet_instance_flat$
(ID,PORTLET_ID,PROVIDER_ID,PAGE_ID,REGION_ID,NAME,SEQ,USER_ID,INCLUDE,CONTENT_TYPE,CONTAINER_ID,IS_TAB )
values

Sorry about the table not displaying properly but you can see the record.
Jeff
nullJeff,
Well, the row is still in the table which makes sense I guess. The UI doesn't let you delete the portlet from the page. The question is why isn't it appearing? Do you have any more input into what activity was going on prior to the portlet disappearing? I'm assuming that the portlet doesn't show up on the customize screen at all correct? The only way I can get it to not display is by unclicking the checkbox on the customize screen, but then it still shows up on the customize screen. -
Why does my computer keep crashing? Can someone look at these Problem Deta
My computer has been crashing A LOT recently. I really don't want to have to reinstall OSX, is there anything I can do besides repair permissions? What follows are the Problem Details from the report I sent to Apple. I should say that I was downloading with Transmissions while surfing the web, nothing heavy for my computer, when it just crashed -- again.
Cheers,
