Code view bold code jump

With Dreamweaver CC, the code jumps down a bit when it turns bold, and I can't even see the bottom 1/4 or so! Is there a way I can fix this?

I managed to get rid of the problem by changing the font to Monaco, but I'm still not sure why it wasn't working with Source Code Pro.
Thanks for trying and if you ever find out why it didn't work for Source Code Pro, please contact me at http://www.modern-dev.net/contact/
Thanks all!

  • Source code jumps around when re-opening page?

Is the following a common problem with Dreamwver CS4 Source Code view?
In an effort to make the code read nice and neat, like everyone else I try to indent and nest my code. For example:
    <div>
              <ul>
                        <li>one</li>
                        <li>one</li>
                        <li>one</li>
              </ul>
    </div>
But, upon saving a file and then later reopening it, I notice that in places the file does not keep my intended spaced nested layout i.e. the code jumps around on a line and I lose my neat indent spacing. For example:
    <div>
              <ul>
          <li>one</li>
                        <li>one</li>
                        <li>one</li>
                 </ul>
    </div>
I have tried to set my preferences > code format > tab size to 10 to produce a larger indent which has improved the problem a little but not fixed it.
Others must have experienced this frustrating problem.
Is there anything I can do to fix it, like set further preferences to give me complete control over the page?
    Thanks in advance.

Oh can it? I will look into this thanks Ken.
With regards the CSS, I found out about it on Lynda.com training videos.
    - Dreamweaver CS4 with CSS Essential Training > Chapter 13: Testing and Deploying CSS > Formatting code for deployment
    The process is as follows:
On Dreamweaver CS4 click Edit > Preferences > Code Format > CSS (button)
On the CSS Source Format Options screen, de-select the "Each property on a seperate line" check box and click "OK" and then "OK".
Then on your CSS page, in the left side panel, click "Format Source Code" and the "Apply Source Formatting" selection.
The code will then condense for deployment.
You can reverse the process just as easily going backwards.
If anyone else has any ideas on code jumping around on a line please do let me know. Thanks.

  • Code View Scroll Bar Jumps + High Processor usage

In Code View, if you click at the bottom of the page -if the vertical scroll bar is present- the scroll bar jumps one or two lines up.
I know about another bug i.e Dw uses 15 to 30% of the processor at all times, I hope it'll get fixed soon or I'll have to find an alternative.
Lemme know if you know of any solutions.

Windows 8 RP Build 8400 -it happened on Windows 7 as well.
Dreamweaver Version 12.0.1 Build 5842 -I guess it's correct, I installed an update in the hopes of having this problem fixed but no luck yet.

  • Split View - Design side jumps

I've come to the conclusion that the most exhausting part of
working with Dreamweaver is chasing down my previous location on
the Design side of the Split View after making a code change. What
is it witth that? Example: If I select an area on the design page,
go into the code side and, say, change a local style cattribute (or
do just about anything for that matter) the page in the Design area
jumps to the bottom of the document. I'm tired of having to scroll
back to where I was every time I make a change in the code. I've
been dealing with this forever and just wrote it off as a quirk but
I need to know: Is there a way to fix this?
    Thanks.

The settings you removed are NOT DW's default settings. In
    other words, the
only way that *.htm and *.html could have gotten into the
    Open in Code View
field would be if you had put them there.

  • In Day view, how to jump to next month

I've just updated to 10.7 and while there are so many things that annoy me about this iCal update, I'm going to try and focus on some very straightforward user interface options that were both solid and useful in 10.6 (and practically every other calendar software ever built) but have disappeared with the "Here's what we think you'd like in a Western Wear store if you were made to go into a western wear store and buy the fringey glitter eel skin boots you don't really want" update.
In 10.6 in the day view, we could show multiple future months at a time by toggling an option in the lower left. Wow, pretty revolutionary. It's kind of like those paper calendars I've seen in Mad Men episodes from the 1950s that have an easy way to see many (or all) months at a time. Wow they had it good back then. In the 10.6 iCal software, it provides an easy way to jump to a future date to check on it (AND REMAIN IN DAY VIEW), which I'd say is a pretty essential part of a calendaring software program. One click, you're months in advance. One more click, you're back on today.
In 10.7, we get the handy current month at top left with a big number (and an abbreviated day, ***?), but from what I can tell, absolutely no easy way to get to a day view in a future month. For example, it's Nov 22nd. If I want to check on Dec. 1, what does one have to do? Let's review the "updated" options-
    1. Click the day advance button 9 times
    2. Switch to month view, advance to the next month, then double click on the Dec. 1
    3. Use the event list tiny scroll bar to hunt the date down like the event carnivore that I am (Why am I forced to look at this event LIST anyhow, I just want a calendar - it's called iCal, not iList)
    4. View menu, go to date, and manually TYPE in a date? Not even a graphic month view here, like you'd find in, say, ANY system that lets you pick a date?
But, maybe I'm missing something (other than 10.6)
Please, someone out there tell me this is not an OMEN of untested, experimental, and ugly updates to come from Team Cupertino.
Gonna go look at my eelskin boots now. Later y'all.
    Looking forward to your thoughts.

    Hi,
any settings that are not possible in the XML, need to be set in the controller instead.
Using the string value of an enum is fine, though.

  • When I select a folder in column view, finder immediately jumps to that column

is there a way to stop this behavior? When I am browsing in column view and click on a folder to see what's in it, finder immediately jumps to that column, shifting the parent column to the left. If I click and drag a file to a parent column, finder jumps to that column, puts the file in alphabetical order, and jumps to where the file is in that column list. This may be nowhere near the folder that it came from. If I am in a column with a lot of files/folders, I then can't see the folder where I took it from. The benefit of column view is being able to see all these levels at once - the jumping around takes that away and is visually very distracting. I often want to reorganize files within certain folders and this makes it difficult and is very annoying. It sometimes takes a while to retrace my steps and figure out where it came from. I think it's more of an issue on small displays - I have an 11" Macbook Air mid 2011/lion. I think this started with Snow Leopard, but I'm not sure - I would like to find a way to disable this behavior go back to the old way where the columns stay stationary and I can look/move around the way I want to. FYI I do have spring-loaded folders unchecked. Thanks for any help.

18 months later someone finally responds to you.  I dislike this behavior very much and cannot find a workaround.  The current push by Aple is to make the smaller devices more accessible which is radcially compromising the desktop experience.  I asume you have updated to Mavericks by now.  The auto-sizing columns remains an issue as well.  If this is driving you bonkers too.  Use TAG View and the auto resize to file name length returns.

  • BT You View Box recordings jump

  • EncoreCS3: Viewing option to jump to 'extra' segment with auto return

I'm working on a biography project that has many extended story segments that are too long to fit in the Main program, but would be included in an 'extras' group at the back end of the disc. I'd like to offer viewers the option of jumping to the 'full' version of that story in the 'extra's' grouping while in the midst of watching the 'Main' program, and then have the playback auto return and resume playback where they left off. I'm a new user of Encore CS3 on a MacG5 editing in FCP 6. Can Encore handle this feature?
Thanks to anyone who offers a reply to this question.

    Michael.
You cannot do this in Encore.
It would require the implementation of a feature commonly known as "Buttons Over Video", where you can set cell commands in a movie or a timeline. We have been asking for this forever, and still no likelihood of it ever getting implemented unless we can get a LOT of requests for it.
    Please file a feature request:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
FWIW, this can be achieved in any of the following applications:
    Apple DVDSP (Storyboarding)
Media Chance Labs DVD-Lab Pro (Button Over Video/Movie cells)
    Sonic Scenarist

  • Selecting code in DWCC makes the text jump around

Just upgraded to Dreamweaver CC and have found an annoying "feature" that makes the code jump around when selecting text in long wrapped code.
For example if there is a long single line javascript code and you select somewhere in the middle, it instantly pushes that line to the next line similar to a line break (although it doesn't actually inserts a break)
Is this a feature that can be turned off? Or I wonder if this is an isolated issue with my Mavericks install where reinstalling it will help.
    Thanks in advance everyone.

    Hi Vharis,
Here is a video of the issue. I have turned off tag highlighting in this video but it is affect with or without it.
    I am using DW13.1 Build 6443 on OS X 10.9.
This issue does not occur when code wrapping is turned off.
This bug can be repeated on any code or text that has no spaces and is wrapped. Below is an example of Javascript and plain text.
    Example of single line Javascript:
Example of long text with no spaces:

  • Why is Spry Tabs dropping below content out of view and back during page load.

    Hello everyone, I'm having some
Spry Trouble. This is happening only in IE 7.
When the page loads, you'll notice that the tabs will
collapse before coming back to it's designated position.
This ruins the visual appeal. Again I don't know why this
happens but the tabs at the bottom of the content will quickly drop
below out of view and then jump back under the content.
    Here is the URL
    http://www.patrickjudson.com/weddingIndex2.php
Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks everyone - Patrick

I don't see the collapse issue on my end. About the only
visual thing going on is that the background image of the tabs
appears later than the text, but not sure that's an issue that's
particular to the Spry code on the page.
Perhaps it's related, or perhaps not, but in my IE7, I get an
error on the page. It states:
    Line: 48
    Char: 3
    Error: Object required
    Code: 0
    URL:
    http://www.patrickjudson.com/weddingIndex2.php
I only see HTML code at line 48 both in the source code, and
even if I pull the generated content view source from Firefox. I
checked line 48 of both of your attached JS files and neither
seemed to be an obvious issue. I even saved a local copy of the
page, and didn't get an error at all. The line of code in the HTML
does seem to be the end of the div that contains your music player,
maybe it's causing an issue in IE, not sure.

So why is there an error in IE7 saying object required.
What does this mean, and what are the side effects?
    Any idea?

  • Month view scrolling?

It would be great if I could scroll within the month view, rather than jumping from month to month. Is there a way to do this? At least half of the month I am at least as concerned about the upcoming weeks in the following month and would love to be able to view half of 2 sequential months.
If there isn't a way to do this, what is the best way to pass this on to someone at Apple so that they might see about adding it to an updated version of iCal?
    Thanks

I agree wholeheartedly. Being able to see the next 4 weeks regardless of where you are in the month is critical to planning for the work and deadlines ahead. This would be a significant improvement to iCal where this has been standard with Outlook Calendar for a long time. Please, nice Apple folks, upgrade iCal to do this. Many thanks.

  • How do I create jump to (page) links using DPS in creating a digital page turner for a catalog?

I know how to use "navto" to jump to pages within the catalog created for our app.
We want to use the same article files to create a digital page turner using DPS but cannot figure out how to do it. Google searches lead to answers that say it isn't possible, but if i view a page turner I created in 3D Issue via Adobe's Content Viewer, the pages jump (via the links I made in 3D Issue).
I just can't believe that a huge company like Adobe has no way to do this in DPS.

On pages you do not want to show-up delselect "include page in navigation menu" in the page inspector:

  • Why is the webpage jumping all over the place with parallax scrolling?

Hi all, I'm getting a little frustrated here... I've built a looooong (10,200 pixel) parallax scrolling site, when I click 'Preview' it plays like a dream, but when I render the HTML, view in browser or publish to business catalyst to view, it just jumps all over the place. I realise that the page is extremely long, I'm thinking it could be that but just need to clarify it before I rework it all and maybe find out after, that it was something else that was causing it to happen.
Your views would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Aish,
I have found the problem, but not sure where to find the solution as I'm pretty new to Adobe products.
I built another site to see if I had the same problem, this time I made it shorter to see if the length was the problem. I put in some elements and 'assets', added parallax scroll key frames, left out pretty much most other things to see if I could pin the problem down. I found that I had the exact same problem.
In the Muse preview it scrolls with the mouse like a dream when I grab the scroll bar and drag it down. But when I preview in business catalyst, export HTML or preview in browser, it goes crazy and won't let me get to the bottom. Further to that, when you scroll back to the top, everything is out of place and gets worse every time you scroll down and back to the top.
I have a touch screen computer and tried to scroll the screen with my finger rather than dragging the scroll bar down with the mouse. The website works like a dream when I scroll with my finger, even when I scroll back to the top everything stays in place and the whole site works lovely! I then tried the other, long website to see if this was the same case and it was exactly the same case. It scrolls with a finger like a dream, but has a fit when you drag down the scroll bar with a mouse.
My next question would be could I somehow disable some kind of touch scroll option in only the desktop version of the site, but leave it active in mobile and tablet sites? If I can do this can you please advise me on how to deactivate it, I think that should solve the problem.
Can you please get back to me with an answer to this? I would be very greatful!
    Marc.

  • How to view SDO data graphically?

I have a functioning spatial database, but now I want to view the data to make sure it looks like what I think it should be. I do not want to use any middleware like ArcSDE etc. Is there any alternatives besides MapViewer? If not, is there any easy step by step instructions to get it working somewhere on the web?
    Thanks in advance-M.

Because Geometry is a local company who
I use a lot for external Oracle Spatial application
development. A number of us have been wanting a
good tool from a while to allow us to view and test
Oracle Spatial shapes and queries. Geometry had built
their own viewer until I found out JUMP and sent them
the links. Before Christmas they had built a beta of
a viewer plugin for JUMP. However, when they release
it is entirely up to them.
Contact Andrew Betlehem at Geometry: [email protected] (though he is on r/l for the
    next three weeks).
BTW They have lots of experience with Oracle Spatial
and have built some good tools (their
Spatial Loader Advanced and Spatial Extractor are
excellent) and software (eg WMS, WFS, 3D web servers over Oracle Spatial) for OS.
