Deleting the released cost estimate -reg

Hi,
I have created std cost estimate for one material through CK40N and released.
After that , I tried to delete the cost estimate through CK44 , The variant (costing name) only deleted but  i could not delete the released cost estimate  for the material.
No GR , sales invoice any posting were happened after releasing.
Can you suggest me, what could be the reason and  how to delete the cost esimate.
Regards
Karthikeyan

Dear Karthikeyan,
If you want to delete the released cost estimate use CKR1,which is not recommanded,as it may create
discrepancies.
CKR1 is used to reorganize or delete the existing or the future or the previous standard cost estimates.
CK44 is used to delete the costing run datas.

  • KE380 for finished good with released cost estimate

    Dear Gurus,
    We have following error.
No product costing estimate could be found
    Message no. KE380
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to find a product cost estimate for product 20010412 in plant FA03 that uses costing variant LG01.
The system looked for the cost estimate using costing key LG1 as defined in the CO-PA Customizing
    settings.
    System Response
    No estimate could be found.
    Procedure
Check the settings for valuation using product costing. If necessary, create a product cost estimate for this product.
The thing is this error occurs for materials with released cost estimate.
Before we had error ke350 for all materials considering DIEN and ROH.
After supressing the error in kepc we can release invoices with DIEN and ROH materials.
    But we got another ke380.
How can we solve this issue?
    With best regards,
    Kamila.

    Hi,
This type of errror is usual if costing based COPA is active and you are using Costing key to valuate the inventory using the Standard cost estimation.
When the costing key is been configured in COPA to access the standard cost estimation and is accordingly assigned to material types, then when the billing is released to accounting system tries to find out the SCE in the material master to pass the COGM to COPA. If it doesnt find the same, it will throw the error.
Hence, run SCE and update your material master.

  • Release Cost estimates

    Hi all
Hope you all had a wonderful time during vacation.
I've got a problem here, when I'm trying to release the cost estimates. I get an error message that "Account 650300 requires an assignment to a CO object". The above gl account is a stock reval gains P&L account, but this problem was never there before.
Any ideas what could be the reason for this?
    Many thanks
    Rasa

    Hi,
    Good evening and greetings,
This revaluation is hit when there is a difference in Material Master price and the new Standard cost estimate...Earlier you would have defaulted a cost centre inside the cost element...please check inside the cost element for a cost centre...the best way to maintain is OKB9...Alternatively if CO-PA is active, the differences can be settled to the product hierarchy which is again a cost object.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards

  • How can we delete the released request

    Hello,
I am unable to delete the request in transport organizer I am getting following error message
"Request/Task DXXXX0101 Already release (not modifiable)"
Why I want to delete because some objects are in this request those are I am unable to transport from another request because this request has been locked.
    Thanks

    Hi,
You cannot change the description but you can change the status of request and make it REJECTED in your quality server so that you or someone else will not release it to Production.
To reject a request --> go to  STMS > select your request --> press GO TO > QA worklist> reject request.
    Hope this helps.
    Assgn pts if helpful.

  • Delete WBS cost estimate - CKW1/CKW4`

    Hi
We are working with project system and based on the customer requirement we create WBS BOM for production of the material and for costing purpose we run Production lot Cost estimate for WBS using transaction CKW1 and activate it using transaction CKW4.
One of our scenario is such that after activating the cost estimate we are making certain changes in the WBS BOM and want to recost the WBS cost estimate(No GR is made yet)
When we are trying to run cost estimate for that WBS and material system is giving us the message that "Cost estimate for this material and WBS is already activated" and not allowing us to proceed with new costing.
We are trying to delete the cost estimate but we can not find out any transaction to delete the cost estimate for WBS element.
How can we delete the existing cost estimate for the WBS element which is already activated.

    Dear Pravin Kakade
I am also working the same.  But i didnt have any other tc after CKW1 & CKW4.  What can we do after Activity CKW4.  If u give some input i am also working on the same path.  I am also trying options.

  • Reorganization of Cost estimates

    Dear All,
Please help in knowing the difference between "Reorganization of Cost Estimates" & "Revaluation" of a product having standard price in material master.
In a nutshell, why "Reorganization of Cost Estimation"(CKR1) is to be done before "Price change" (MR21).
Hope that my query is clear.
    Thanks
    Nikesh Patel

    Nikesh,
    1. Reorganization of cost estimate means deletion of cost estimate, by using the transaction code CKR1 you can delete the current cost estimate, marked (future) cost estimate. It is advisable to do the CKR1 before any goods movements for that material.
Generally this will perform when the business realized that released cost estimate is wrong.
    2. MR21 will use to update the standard price for the materials. when you update the price as per the new standard price your inventory will evaluates at that time there is an accounting entry if your new standard price is greater than old standard price.
Inventory dr to Revaluation inventory cr.
The above GL accounts will trigger as per the OBYC--> UMB settings.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

    Ravi

  • Can't delete the cost estimate via CKR1

    Hi,
We have one material. We can't delete the cost estimate via CKR1. It is only warning. It is no error log. The other material cost estimate can delete normally. I check the material master I can't find the issue. The following is the warning message. Could you pls help check it? Whate factor will effect the cost estimate deletion? Thanks.
    ==========================
Deleting current standard cost estimates can cause inconsistencies
    Message no. CK 669
    Diagnosis
u2022 If you delete a current standard cost estimate, the fields for
the cost estimate are set to zero in the material master record. If you
use the material ledger, the standard prices in the material ledger
master data are also deleted when you delete the current standard cost
estimate. The material master record for the material thus does no
longer contains a current standard price from a standard cost estimate.
u2022 If you delete an active standard cost estimate, you can no
longer determine scrap, work in process and variations for previous
    periods.
u2022 In certain countires, it is a legal requirement to maintain
records of standard pricing. Therefore, you should check whether you
are obliged by law to keep records of your standard cost estimates.
Please also contact the relevant accounting and inventory management
    departments.

    Hi,
The deletion of Current standard cost estimate should be followed with some rules of the IFRS.
If you want to change the standard cost you can do the change,If you want to delete the standard cost of material then it will set the price of material to zero.If the material ledger also activate then it will make the Moving average price & standard cost of the material to zero.
So follow the Law of the country & Discus with Audit team &then delete the curent standard cost estimate of the material.

  • Cost Estimate Deletion Problem

    Hi,
I have executed the cost estimate for the material. Now i wanted to delete it in CKR1 as it is incorrect. So that i can execute a new cost estimate for this.
but my doubt is - if we execute cost estimate, then it will update in material master costing view.If i delete and then execute new cost estimate for the same material.will the new rates will be update? or the old incorrect rates are not deleted?
    Kindly advise me
    Thanks
    Supriya

From the time you run a cost estimate, till the time it reaches the material master, there are three stages.
First run and save the cost , Second mark the cost estimate, Third release the cost estimate.
There is no change to the material master for the first two stages with respect to material value. When you mark, it just updates the future price. Only at the third stage, the material price changes with the new cost estimate value.  For any quantity that is in stock, the change in vaule is journalised.
Hence, if you have just run the cost estimate, you are only in the first stage. You can comfortably delete CKR1. But please exercise caution, any wrong deletion can take away the cost estimate stored in the material master. This does not take away the standard price, only the estimate gets removed. As a result, you may not be able to get the cost component report for production order etc.
When you are in CKR1, open up the small plus icon, which will give you more selection option to help you pinpoint the cost estimate that you want to delete.
You can also check details of the current cost estimate in the costing view to find out which cost estimate has got updated in the standard price.

  • Cost Estimate Mistakenly deleted - ML Active

    Dear all,
One of the user mistakenly delete the cost estimate released for a material.
This material already have the status "quantity and values entered" in Material ledger/
The Material ledger is active with price determination 3.
What things usually must be done in this case?
Please guide us on the issue above.
Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Erwin,
If there is no released cost estimate for the FG/SFG products, you will have a problem during the Billing Doc release to Accounting/COPA document.
The workaround is : if you are using Split Valuation/Valuation type, you can create new valuation type and release standard cost estimate.
Let me know if you need any further details.

  • Can I find out, with user has deleted all cost estimates with CKR1?

    Hi Community,
ich have a major problem: all our standard material don't have a cost estimate any more, because a unknown user has deleted all current cost estimates. Can I find out, with user has used the CKR1 transaction? And much more importend: how can I solve the problem? Do I need to re-calculate all the material?
Thanks for any idea and help
    PoD

    Hi,
you have to make the costing run, marking, releasing again but thats not the whole work.
If there are PP-orders that have been created based on the old/deleted plan cost estimates, the variance calculation will not work as the plan cost estimate is missing (even if the new one is released in the same period).
Thus variance calculation is not possible for those orders... You have to settle the whole balance to receiver object by removing the variance key in PP-order. Try first for one particualr order to see if there are some other problems that need to be solved during month-end-closing.
How to find out who has executed CKR1 (SAPCKR1): Check authorizations for (hopefully) a small number of user who are allowed to use CKR1.
Use T-Code ST03N, in the left upper window double-click "total" (maybe click a day if you can imagine which (possible) date it was). In lower left section open "user and settlement statistics" and then click "user profile". Now go to each possible user and look for T-Code CKR1.
This can be time-consuming but its worth a try...
For the future: restrict CKR1 to a very small number of user (and they should be well trained...). I once had a company (with poor authorization concept) but CKR1 was blocked in SM01 and a ZCKR1 was created and in this Z-transaction USER-name was checked (if SY-USNAM...) so only the use names named in this Z-program were allowed to use ZCKR1. Not the best way but sufficient for them...
    Good luck, Christian

  • Deleted Stand. cost estimate

    Dear,
Can anybody write to me, how I can find the user which deleted stand. cost estimate for one material (trans. CKR1)?
I would like to know the user and date, when the stand.cost estimate was deleted.
    Best regards
    Viera Tis

    Dear Sridhar,
Your suggestion is complicated (number of materials is very high).
My interest is to find who and when deleted cost estimate for exact material (let's call it XYZ).
I do not need to compare tables MARC and KEKO.
I use trans. SE16, choose table KEKO, and I can select material XYZ.
System displays 370 lines with mentioned material (although st.cost estimate for mentioned material was deleted).
Among 370 lines of mentioned material XYZ, I can find in column Costing status value FR -released without errors or KA -Costed without errors.
In last line among 370 lines are columns "Valid from" is 16.08.2007 and "Valid to" is 31.12.2007 , Costing status is KA. It means validity date does not indicate if stand.cost.estim. was deleted or no.
Which field or column in KEKO indicates if standard cost estimate is actual or was deleted?
    Costing status ?
    Costing run?
    Costing run date?
    Best regards, Viera

  • Material Cost Estimate - Release too early

    Hi,
I ran the cost estimate for one material on 12.06.2008 and i released the cost estimate. Here it is saying 'Cost Estimate released too early'. I thought system is releasing the cost for material for the next month. but i want to update the material cost for this month only.
And how many days before you have to run the cost estimate for the new month.
    sateesh

    Hi Sateesh,
Please check the period which you have mentioned in CK24.
I think the period you have given is of next month. Hence system is giving that message as next month's  period may not have been opened.
System allows to release cost estimate only once in a period. Normal practice is to carry out cost run at the end of the month.
Please do let me know if your problem is solved.

  • Can we use two costing variants for standards cost estimate release.

    Hi,
We have 2 plants (plant 5100 and plant 5200) under company code 5000.
We have run standard cost estimate(CK11N) for material 98001000027 at plant 5100 using costing variant ZG01 and at plant 5200 using costing variant ZG02. First, we released  standard cost estimate (CK24) for this materia at plant 5100 and set (in marking allowance) costing variant ZG01 and costing version 01. Next time when we are trying to release the standard cost estimate for the same material for plant 5200, it is automatically picking ZG01 as costing variant in marking allowance and it is not allowing to change the costing variant to ZG02 saying Company code 5000: Release already carried out, cancellation not possible, Message no. CK797.
Is it possible to use two different costing variants for release of standard cost estimate for a material at two different plants at the same company code? If so how?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Bijay

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply again.
What is the benefit of assigning "Single Valuation Variant same to different Plants" ? In costing variant also we can assign maximum only one valuation variant and this valuation variant will default for all the plants, and hence I dont think it is necessary to assign same valuation variant to different plants.
    My  issue is :
Example: ( Standard Cost Estimate for material 98001000027)
    Plant - 1
    Material Cost                                             Rs.100
    Labour Cost                                               Rs.50
Overheads (10% of Labour Cost)                  Rs.5
(say ,through costing sheet - 1)
    Total Standard Cost Estimate                      Rs.155
    Plant - 2
    Material Cost                                             Rs.150
    Labour Cost                                               Rs.100
Overheads (20% of Labour Cost)                  Rs.20
(say, through costing sheet - 2)
    Total Standard Cost Estimate                      Rs.270
Now, Please explain why we cannot have two Standard Cost Estimates for a material at two different plants? If it is possible to have two standard cost estimates for a material at two different plants, how to take care of  overheads (rate of which varies) at two different plants (plant - 1 > 10% and plant- 2>20%) as we can assign maximum one costing sheet to a valuation variant variant?
How to map the system so as to meet the above requirement?
    Thanks,
    Bijay
