File port query File transfer from SAP R/3 to Webmethods using Unix Script
SAP drops the files in the /sapio/ directory and triggers an unix script using File port partner destination.
Unix script will perform a secure copy of files to Webmethods server.
If in unix script, error occurs then an RFC function will be called to send an error notification to a person.
Queries
1) How is the unix script triggered using the File port partner destination ?
2) What is the unix command to invoke a report which sends the error notification mail ?
3) Does SCP command to copy files to webmethods work , if the unix script is placed in /sapio/ directory ? Or whether
any connection need to be established between SAP and Webmethods server ?
Hello,
Since you want to transfer Article Master, it should be a Retail System. So you should use Message Type ARTMAS. For fullbuild, you can use transaction WDBM and for changes, you can use WDBU. For changes, you can enable change pointers for required fields using BD64.
Thanks,
Venu

How to transfer file from sap server to PDM server using open FT??
Hello Sap Guru's
I want to Trasfer a file with all supplier information from SAP server to PDM server(Thirdparty) system Using Open FT ..How can I transfer ???
Please let me know the answer??
Thanks In Advance
PreethiHi Preethi,
I think it is not possible to transfer a file from SAP to PDM using open FT.
Using RFCs, we can do the transfer.
Other option is the file can be downloaded into UNIX. And from there using a shellscript we can transfer the file from UNIX to PDM or if your PDM has the option to grab the file from UNIX that will also work.
Hope this helps.
Please reward if helpful.
Thanks,

Material transfer from SAP R/3 to SAP Business One is blocked
Hello experts,
Please I need your help for the following scenario:
Our client has B1iSN and SAP R/3 in the headquarter company and B1if and SAP B1 in the subsidiary. The material transfer from SAP R/3 to SAP Business One failed and the following message is diplayed:
Result message :
com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.bizprocessor.BizProcException: BPE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: com.sap.b1i.xcellerator.XcelleratorException: XCE001 Nested exception: java.lang.RuntimeException: DI Error: (-2028) No matching records found (ODBC -2028)
The Material database transfer is blocked due to message in status
failure which block all other messages.
We tried to restart the server (Business One and B1iSN) but it didnu2019t solve the issue.
Any idea please? Thank you.Hi Nadia,
did you check the WRITE-POLICY settings of your scenario?
when reading the displayed DI Error message, it looks like B1iSN is trying to update an B1 item which does not exists.
Please open SAP B1iSN Tools -> Development Tools -> Graphical scenario Design and select your Bizpackage, BizStep and BIUMETA.
Open the WRITE-POLICY symbol and check the entries:
Insert on Exist = error or fallback2U
Update on Miss = fallback2I
The Update Policy should stay to value regular.
To activate changes of the WRITE-POLICY please deactivate, modify and reactivate your Business Process instance.
If a WRITE-POLICY change has no effect, please check your data mapping (BIU) and especially the parameter <QueryParams>, which mustn't be filled for "insert/Add" operations into B1.
Best regards

OM and PA data transfer from SAP 4.7 to ECC 6.0
Dear Experts,
hi
i am working on one project where i will need to design the data transfer from SAP 4.7 to ECC 6.0. this is not a upgrade project.
the data of PA and OM are in 4.7 which is existing system. i need to transfer entire data into ECC 6.0 so i can use that data for my E-Recruitment module ( we are doing E-rec fresh implementation.)
we will keep both the systems (4.7 and ECC 6.0). ECC 6.0 will be used for E-Rec and OM only. for PA and Payroll we will use 4.7.
can some one tell me,
1. what are the key points to keep in consideration from OM point of view ?
2. which is the best method to transfer the OM structure and data from 4.7 to ECC?
3. what are the risks?
4. which system we should make master system and which will be the slave system? why ?
your input will be much appreciated.
thanks and regards
chandraHi Chandra,
I was under the impression that you are planning to use PA & OM from 4.7, now I read it again.
Now its advisable to keep ECC 6 as a master system, becoz OM is the stating point of the HR processes where all Orgnization unit, job, position exists. Later the same data can flow to the slave system for PA use. As OM is the starting point, this system should be the master system.
Abou the IDoc interface.
Check the basic type HRMS_A05, whether it has all the data you need to transmit. T-Code WE30
If you need to add something you can create a Z version in WE31. I selected HRMS_A05 as it is present in both the SAP version.
Next there are series of transaction you need to process. Check with technical person who hands IDoc interafcing.
Steps are:
Assigning Message type to IDOC Type with extension. T-Code WE82
Create Logical System:
T-Code SALE-> Basic Settings-> Logical Systems-> Define Logical System
It is required to configure in the sending system as well as in the receiving system
Assign Logical System to Client:
T-Code SALE-> Basic Settings-> Logical Systems-> Assign Logical System to Client
Create RFC Destinations:
T-Code SM59, select ABAP connection of type 3.
Create Distribution Model: T-Code BD64
Generate Partner Profile: T-Code BD82
Maintain sending system partner profile: T-Code WE20
Link Message Type to Function Module T-Code WE57 in receiving system only
Hope this will help.
Let me know if you need anything else.
BR/Manas -
can you give me a example vi for it ?thanks a lot!
how to auto insert a number array with size of 20 into a named excel file with the positon is from A1 TO A20?i use lv6.1You don't need us to give you an example, as the example already comes with LV. Go to Help>>Find Examples and search for "excel". You will find an example called "write table to XL". You should note that the example doesn't do that exactly, because it writes a 2D array from 2 to N.
You can modify the example by using only one for loop (instead of nested loops) with a 1D array or by going into the Set Cell Value and modifying it to accept a second cell value for the Cell2 terminal and wiring in a 1D array instead of the single string. If you do modify it, be sure to save it under a different name, so you don't overwrite the original.
To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here and here are a couple you can start with. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).

Edited by: Anand Amirtharaj on Feb 20, 2012 7:53 AMHi,
With regards to your statemetn "SDN downloaded document says to Generate Webservice URL through ABAP" <- can you tell me more please? references/links/attachment?
As far as I am aware, that the type of web service required for integration it a 'normal' Netweaver Web app server web service.
There are limitations about the complexity of the WSDL - see Notes:
1653655 - Limitations in Web Service WSDL URL usage in Xcelsius 4.0
1703839 - Limitations of Web service usage in Xcelsius / Dashboard Design
also , changes between SAP versions requires reworking the WSDL
Note 1625091 - The WSDL URL for web service which generated in SAP Enterprise Central Component cannot be loaded into Xcelsius

How to move folders from one server to another serve using unix command
Hi All,
How to move the folders from one server to another server using unix command.
scp -r armops@sjarmprd01:/ARM/scripts [email protected]:/ARM/scripts/
but it is giving an error like not a regular file .. what it means .. please let me know if any one knows about it
Thanks
Sreedharnot a regular file .. what it meansProbably you have some fifo (named pipe) files...
Said that this has nothing to do with database (you should post on some nix forum, for example http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=135), you may try rsync* command (man rsync). -
Flat File Transfer from SAP R/3 4.7 to SAP Business Connector 4.8
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement of transferring a flat file from my R/3 SAP 4.7 Box Application Server to the Business Connector 4.8 Box. I am new to SAP Business Connector and I am not to sure whether FTP works if I use a shell script in SAP R/3. Also, is there any way Business Connector Box can pull the file from R/3 Application Server and store the file in the Business Connector Server.
Any help will be appreciated!!!

SubhhrangsuHi,
There are many ways thru which you can pass document to SAP BC:
You can HTTP, FTP, Email document to SAP BC.
SAP BC has predefined services for all of them.
For FTP document to SAP BC:
1 Initiate an FTP session on SAP BC Serveru2019s FTP listening port ( this can be found out from SAP BC administrator or from SAP BC homepage).
2 Point to the directory that contains the service to which you want to pass the XML
document.
Example cd \ns\Purchasing\SubmitOrder
3 Copy the XML document to this directory using the following command:
put XMLDoc.xml
Where XMLDoc.xml is the name of the file that you want to pass to SAP BC Server.
Example put PurchaseOrder.xml
Above code can be written in a batch file and you can schedule it to run at interval of minutes.
You can write java client program as well to upload file and map it to String variable of Flow service of SAP BC.
As Micheal said, you can look at sapbc/Developer/doc folder to look for more options.
Best Regards,

SAP DB recovery data, transfer from SAP to MAX DB
Hi all
I have use the SAP DB 7.4 database platform (it is very old, but maybe anyone knows or remember it)
SAP DB was installed on Windows 2000 server (32 bit DELL),after the server crash I have only backup file (hot backup with database parameters and data about 200GGb), as temporary solution I've recovered it on just desktop PC with good parameters (CORE2DUO, 16GGb RAM...) the recovery continued about 4 hours. I've tried to recovery this backup on new server (IBM) on 32bit Windows 2003 Server, but I was confused because recovery was continued about 16-20 and it still recovering very slow I dont know what the problem, maybe anyone changed OS or server version for SAP DB 7.4?
One more question, is it possible to transfer database (recovery backup) from SAP DB to MAX DB?
Thanks.Hi,
SAP DB was installed on Windows 2000 server (32 bit DELL),after the server crash I have only backup file (hot backup with database parameters and data about 200GGb), as temporary solution I've recovered it on just desktop PC with good parameters (CORE2DUO, 16GGb RAM...) the recovery continued about 4 hours
If your SAP instance running on above platform ? If yes, Whats the SAP release you have.
I've tried to recovery this backup on new server (IBM) on 32bit Windows 2003 Server, but I was confused because recovery was continued about 16-20 and it still recovering very slow I dont know what the problem, maybe anyone changed OS or server version for SAP DB 7.4?
What is the server configuration on IBM server. How much RAM and CPU does it have.

Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario where I need to transfer data from SAP to SAP. While the program is ran in source the idoc gets fired successfully and its available in WE02 with the status Green and text as "Sent to SAP port". But while checking in the target system there are no entries respective to the Source Idoc. I tried to fire the idoc on a particular date and time and after some hours I checked for the idoc in target system but no entries were found for the source Idoc in the target system on that date. Please suggest me where ,how and what to check.I guess I have to check the TRFC meant for this process but how and where.
Please reply.

Transfer of data from SAP R/3 to XI using BAPI
Hi All,
there is an requirement, I have to transfer the Process Order from SAP to XI using standard BAPI objects BAPI_PROCORD_GETDETAIL, we can use ABAP Proxy to BAPI scenario.can anyone Please elaborate on this and help me to achieve this scenario .
ThankyouHi Swapnali,
In your case you have to send process order to XI and you have a bapi that satisfies your requirement.
Here the solution depends what is the triggerring point of the Interface.
If you want that from SAP side Interface should be triggered, then Use ABAP proxy program
You have to craete a Abap proxy class using outbound message interafce defined in IR of XI.This can be done by transaction SPROXY.
Then create a program that call sync/async method that is created by Sproxy t.code.
In this way , when u will execute the proxy program in R/3 , then call will be made to BAPI in Sap from XI server and u will get output back to your proxy program.
If your requirement is to not to trigger from SAP then nothing is required in R/3 side.
In XI , Bapi will be added in imported objects in Integration repository and bapi will be called.
Hope this will help u.
Please revert in case of queries.

Key is not visible in SQL 2012 R2 when query is read from SAP BI
Hi All,
I have a query in sap bi which has variables where key and text is displayed as per screen shot 1. How ever the same query is triggered from SQL 2012 r2 the key is not visible but text is visible as per screenshot 2 . Could any one suggest how the key will be displayed by there end(SQL).
Thanks,
PayaniI think you're in the wrong space as yor screenshots are not from any Business Objects or SAP BI 4.x products I know.
What exact product are you using ?
this space is for SAP Business Objects products family.
