Get the first photo in photo album

Hi, I am new to iphone programming.
How can I get the first image in photo album into an UIImage object? I can not use the ImagePicker because this will the initial image when user launches the app.

How do I get the new photos albums from my imac to sync to my iphone?

Last week my iMac did the software update that replaced iPhoto on my iMac with the new Photos application.
Since then, I have migrated all my iphoto library to the Photos library and have been able to further sort my photos in the albums area.
I have backed up my iPhone 6, and then completed a sync so it would be updated accordingly with the photos app as opposed to the previous iPhoto app. In iTunes everything looks fine, in Photos everything looks fine, and there was a bit of a hiccup once or twice with trying to complete the sync process (although I imagine this was simply due to the mere nature of the number of images have to sync as I do photography and I model so over 32000 photos to sync). Finally I was able to complete the sync process, and all seemed fine.
I then went in to Photos app on the iPhone 6, and all the photos are there, all the albums are there, but all the albums are empty even though the photos are on the phone in the photos sections???
I would really like to know how to get the albums to sync properly to my iPhone 6 from an iMac, does anyone know what to do?
Also, my iPhone since then has been dropping battery life significantly and getting very warm over short periods of time, but I have had no applications open, the phone has not been in use at the time and has been locked screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Synced photos can only be deleted by syncing again with iTunes and deselecting all synced items.

Evidently iWeb is not reading the auto-rotate tag and making the proper corrections so the browser displays it correctly. I suggest you export the photo from iPhoto as a portrait oriented photo, reimport and add that to the web page in lieu of the current photo.

why did apple changed the key photos in photo app on iOS 5??? I mean it was custom on iOS 4 but now it is the first photo in your album??? Is it possible to fix this???

When do my photos upload to Photo Stream?
When you enable Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your Photo Stream.

Notice it states all NEW photos. But like I said, I'm not that sure about it. I don't use Photo Stream, just based on what I am reading.
I could be misinterpreting what this means.

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.

Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

How come others sharing this photostream are no longer getting the new photos? My iphone (the device i'm adding from) shows 20 pictures in this shared photostream and yet 4 other people that I share this photostream album with and my ipad only show 12 photos. For the past week I keep adding photos thinking people will see them but it just won't update the new ones. Any ideas how to fix this?

You can stop new photos being automatically added to Photostream in iPhoto from iPhoto preferences > Photostream.

The web photo album command needs some improvement

First I'd like to thanks for the

photo album command embed with Dreamweaver. My job requires me
create photo albums with thousands of pictures, it saves a lot of
time for me.
Now I'd like to ask someone to improve this fuction. I need
to click the thumbnails on the index page to pop-up a window that
show up the detail picture page (If I can key in the pop-up window
size in the command UI will be perfect). Currently this album
generator only links to the large picture's page. I need to make
them to a pop-up window for each manually (thousands of them).
I tried

Photo Album 2.2 for Dreamweaver 8 and MX 2004, V2.2.6, it
doesn't have this function either. Compare to the web photo album
command in Dreamweaver, it can't generate filename to caption in
the detail picture page automatically (You can key in captions in
Fireworks manually though).
If someone can improve the web photo album command to pop-up
window available, I think use "close window" link instead of the
link to the album index page in the detail picture's page will be
helpful.

i tried adding user macintosh hd/users/your_user/pictures/"photo booth" but still photo booth is not working and even images in photo booth cant be deleted they keep coming back

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.

Icloud photo library won't work unless connected to wifi. If I am trying to attach a pic to a message or email, I get the error "photo can't be downloaded from iphoto library, please try later." If I connect to wifi it works just fine.

I can understand the uploading of pics to library only being done over wifi, but there are plenty of times I'm going to want to send a pic when I'm not going to be near a network. It does work occasionally, but the norm is that I get the error.

There is issue with Windows 7 when you send the email. It gives the message you specified.
But you can always use Adobe Email client to send your images. In this workflow also you would get the error message but you can ignore it and continue to send the mail.

It's probably happing because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted). When you enabled photo stream on your PC you would have only received photos from the last 30 days.
To transfer older photos to your computer, create a shared photo stream that contains them and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

How to start a slideshow not from the first photo in iPhone 11?

In iPhoto 06 and 08 I could start, or restart, a slideshow from any photo by simply clicking on this photo in the 'filmstream' and then click 'start'. This appears to be no longer possible in iPhoto 11; e.g. the slideshow always starts with the first photo in the filmstream. Why?

Can anyone tell me the rational behind why something that once worked beautifully in older versions of iPhoto, the latest iPhoto now works differently. Experience and annoyance like this once brought me into the Apple universe shunning Microsoft.
I got used to, and used it often in my presentations, to start a saved slideshow from any slide I selected in the photo browser. My presentations are from several trips throughout the year in chronological order, displaying unattended in the background at annual social parties. But often party guests would come up and request to see photos from a specific trip. It was easy to stop the show and restart it from anywhere in the stream. I fail to understand why this feature was removed.

No, your Yahoo account is not in iCloud (which only handles iCloud mail), it is in Yahoo, and the Yahoo mail account is on your iPad.

Get the correct settings for your account from Yahoo and set it up manually.
By the way, I also find the "password" issue problematical. It seems Apple want my Apple password rather than my eMail password. All very confusing.
That would depend on what you are trying to do.

Why do you need to access your email? To reset the password?
If you're trying to change the password, you don't need to go to your email. If you know the answers to your security questions, you can reset it without using an email, as explained in the first section of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787. Sometimes, there would be temporary connectivity glitches preventing you from downloading a certain track from the iTunes store - these are rare and usually resolve if you try back in some time. If it continues, contact Apple support mentioning the name of the problematic song:
