Google Map direction path to any component in flex

Hello,
Is it possible to set google map direction path to any component with respect to the fields from source to destination?
For Example.. I am searching for "from hyderabad to secunderabad " then I ll get route path like the way how we have to go.. I want to store this information in the database.
Can anyone please help me?

I think you have to look for any output parameters for SWF u r loading then only u will get information which u r SWF has.

If I do this then I will have my video player in fullscreen disappear for a moment and then reappear out of fullscreen, and I want it not to disappear, but to just jump to the other state fully resized and repositioned with no glitching in between states.
Than you will need to implement your own solution which meets your specific design goals. That's the nature of the beast my friend.
As far as I know dynimic skin parts have another meaning - creating more than one instance at runtime. Also I've read just now (again) partAdded and partRemoved are called on component initialization and skin change. So basicly if I change the skin, it makes sense to remove the eventListeners from the old skin parts. But still, I've read on many places that if an object has event listeners attached to it it will Not be GC unless they are weak, so it will be stuck in memory forever.
So looking at the VideoPlayer and it's skin parts, I'm not seeing any event listener being removed when I remove the instance I have of the VideoPlayer. Why is that? Why the component does not remove it's skin parts event listeners?
Are you changing skins? If so, I bet the parts would be removed as expected. The partRemoved method is not being called because it's not needed. If you remove the parent component, than any reference encapuslated within that component are removed as well.Fire up the profiler if you don't believe me.
I'm interested in the skin parts and states relation. With includeIn and excludeFrom you define in which states the component is added to or removed from as a child (element). So If I have a skin part which is required=true and I have 2 states from one of which it is excluded... whouldn't that result in a runtime error since the part is not there but it is required?
I'm pretty sure that it only checks if the instance exists, and does not care if it has been created and added to the display list. I do not really know for certain though. This could easily be answered with a simple test.

Google map directions don't print with map , preview & final are blank

I recently allowed updates of Firefox and of apple/imac software. Since then, when I try to print out a Google map with driving directions, the map prints, but the driving directions are missing. I am able to see the driving directions on the monitor, but they just don't print out.
Nothing is wrong with my printer, so I know that is not the problem.

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

Google Maps directions disparity

My old 2g 16gig iphone seems to want to take me on the scenic route every time I get directions. The most obvious routes are ignored, and I'm sent through back roads with outrageously convoluted directions, culminating sometimes with doubling back more than once. Then, to add insult to injury a short trip of no more than 30 miles or so gives a time of travel estimate of several hours, sometimes 8 or 9. Searching google maps on my computer with the exact same start and stop addresses gives perfectly understandable shortest distance directions, and realistic time of travel estimates.
Any clue why this is happening?

It sounds like you have it set to give you walking directions. At the top of the directions screen, you should see a car, bus and person. Make sure the car is highlighted for driving directions.

Storing google maps direction in database

Hello,
I have integrated google maps in flex application. When I give source and destination the map will give the route path.
and it will display the route path also like turn right and left like that. I want to store the entire route path information as it is in the database. Will it be possible?

Hi,
You can send result of GMap result to the server-side(JAVA/ anything ) as plain object. While saving to database you have to take care of dataType should be BLOB(binary large object)

I cannot use Google Maps directions with Firefox. I get java void when I click on directions in Google Maps.

I can use Internet Explorer to get directions with Google Maps but when I use Firefox 3.6 the task bar reads java void and no directions are displayed. How do I fix this?

Search for one location, Directions, enter 2nd location, Get Directions.
Map shifts & displays correct area for route, but Loading appears and stays, route never appears.
Works correctly in Opera, Safari & Chrome on same machine.

Google Maps - directions / distances in kilometres / kilometers / km

I am in the UK. My phone has the following settings:
time zone: London
language: British English
region format: United Kingdom.
The Google Maps app displays distances and directions in miles. How can I get it to display them in kilometres / kilometers / km?

i agree, its a right pain in the *** for those of us who are used to the metric system. road signs are only really relevant if you're in a car (as opposed to cycling or on foot)

So I get a link from a friend and I'm trying open it up in the browser of my Blackberry, but I keep getting redirected to Google's main page.

Google Maps hangs every time

I've used Google Maps on my Playbook before, but today for some reason it is not working. Any referral to Google Maps (direct by choosing the Map option in Google, or by clicking a link on a website) results in a hang of Google. An initial map displays, but a "loading" message appears below the address bar; it is not possible to zoom or to shift the map, or to do anything in the window. Have to close the browser and reopen.
Suggestions?

Google Maps & AOL HTML Not working in Leopard

All HTML in AOL won't work. AOL email window size doesn't work when resizing. Google maps won't load any images.

markers in Google maps. on click of any region marker i want to zoom in the map to region level and i need to display all the country markers in Google maps under the region. can any body help me on this requirement.

Not sure about Google Maps but this is fairly easy to do with Bing Maps. I've used Bing Maps with SharePoint lists fairly regularly. Here are some blog posts:

Once you have your sharepoint list connected to Bing Maps you can easily filter the list data based on the selected country if you have a country column in your list. If you want to take things a bit further an create a much cooler user experience you can
also use the Bing Maps GeoData API to get the country boundaries and show them on the map as polygons. These could be color coded based on some metric, or set up as the clickable area on the map rather than a pushpin. Here is a blog post on how to use the

Is there any way to reinstall google maps as the new map app is at best dire

Since the latest iOS 6 to say the maps application is dire would be an understatment, My house no longer exists and a new street has appeard behind where i live , i used to use the application all the time as im a mobile mechanic and need a reliable navigation system ,( now reduced to having to return home to print out directions ) i do know that you can use google maps if you connect to the internet but sometimes this is not possable in my are . is there a fix or can we please have google maps back also NO STEET view    REALLY im begining to wonder if i should bother with the new 5 or just get a SAMSUNG

I have reinstalled the utilities and drivers by using the recovery disks I made when the laptop was new, but have since lost them. I only want to reinstall a few utilities and drivers, but not restore the whole system. Is there any way to reinstall the "Toshiba Application Installer" or recreate the recovery disks?

Can no longer operate other apps when Google Maps is giving directions

I have an iPhone 4s and just recently upgraded to IOS 8.02. I use Google Maps extensively for traveling, along with FStream (Internet radio app). Up until this update (and a Google Maps update), I was able to reduce Google Maps en route, bring up FStream and choose another station. Now, when Google Maps is directing me somewhere (using Directions), when I pull up FStream, there is a blue banner on top of the app that says "Google Maps is using your location." While this is there, you are unable to operate any of the controls (buttons) on the app (and, I'm guessing, any other app).
Now, having also used both Apple Maps (the ill-fated release) and Waze, I know Apple Maps also restricted usage of other apps while it was providing directions. And, Waze wouldn't allow you to even recite (using the mic) or type in an address while moving (obviously a safety consideration, which I can understand). I think they reversed that decision in a later release. But, Google Maps (up until now) at least let you switch between open apps and (in my case, in FStream) change stations.
My questions are:
1. Is this an IOS 8 "improvement" or a Google Maps "improvement" (i.e. how do I complain to)?
2. And, other than having to temporarily turn off "directions" in Google Maps in order to be able to switch stations, is there another fix to this?

Well, I think I've narrowed it down somewhat. In experimenting with other apps while Google Maps is giving directions, I find that most other apps are working, even with the blue Google Maps banner on top. So, in summation, I believe it is the old, out-dated, FStream app (which was last updated in 2010) that might be the culprit. The search begins for another Internet radio app where you can manually enter the station URL.

Google maps turn by turn directions no longer interrupts iTunes music player in iOS7

I often use Google Maps app when I travel while simultaneously listening to music. I have my iPhone connected to my car stereo via the Lightning port. In iOS6, when Google would give turn by turn directions the music volume would duck and the voice guided navigation would play through the car stereo. After updating to iOS7, this feature no longer works. With both iTunes and Google Maps open, the music volume is always dimmed and voice guided navigation is always off.
I do not notice this issue with Apple's Maps app. So far it appears to work properly and I am using this as a work around. However there are several reasons I favor Google Maps as a superior solution for the moment. For example, if I ask for directions to a specific location such as a local business Google is able to provide this information 90% of the time. By comparison, the same query with Siri usually results in having to search the web for an address first and then having to go back and ask for directions to that specific street address. It is a minor inconvenience, but it is enough of a hassle that I tend to stick with the better content of Google Maps for now.
Perhaps this bug is iOS7 related or perhaps the issue is with the Google Maps app. Either way, I am reporting because I'd love to see it fixed. I have noticed several bugs (this being one of many that I am reporting) since upgrading to iOS7 which has been very disappointing. I am a huge Apple advocate and this has not been the experience of "It just works" that I have come to expect from my Apple products. It is because I care so much about the Apple ecosystem that has made my work and play so much more enjoyable that I will take the time to report these in hopes that Apple will take notice and that subsequent updates will address these issues.

I never did. Partly I believe it's the interaction with my car's bluetooth connection and instructions it sends the phone when they connect. It seems like if I actively QUIT all applications that could play audio (SiriusXM, Podcasts, Music), then I can get the directions without any music. (That said, the SiriusXM app doesn't always play nice. If any of these are open, not even playing, then they start up when I select bluetooth audio on my car stereo. But I still can't tell the audio to stop without it muting either Google Maps or Apple's Maps. They both behave the same way.

Try publishing to a local folder and double clicking the index.html file to launch your site in the browser direct from your hard disk to see if the map works.
Where are you publishing to - MobileMe or another server?
