Help: How to call a plsql Package on click of a button in ADF

Hi Guru's
Please provide your suggestions, how to go ahead in ADF to call a plsql package when a button i clicked.
I do have a knowledge of oracle callable statment to call the plsql package but not having any idea how to relate button click event in ADF.

Create a service method in your Application Module to [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/b31974/bcadvgen.htm#sm0297]call the stored package, expose that service method on the client interface, and then drag the service method from the data control palette on to your page as a button.

Hi,
I think you are working with Oracle EBS.
I don't think so that we can able to call the custom form on clicking button.
We can call the form from the standard form using both custom.pll and form personalization
In custom.pll using zoom function we can do this and in form personalization we can call the form by using form function, In both we call the form by creating a special menu in standard from and we used to call.
So please check further, and let me know if any i can help you any.

How to call custom BSP application on click of BACK button for SC in EBP.

Hi All,
We are implementing OCI using custom BSP applications.In EBP SC screen ,in step1 (Select Goods/Services), the links for these BSP applications are displayed.
The user can create a shopping cart using these applications , after the items are transfered from BSP to SC on standard EBP screen , in step2
there are four buttons ,
1)Refresh
2)Check
3)Back
4)Continue.
We need to call one of our custom BSP applications on click of this BACK button
How can i acchieve the same?
Do i need to make changes in the standard ITS application or thers some other way?

To call a wd abap application from BSP use the method CL_WD_UTILITIES=>CONSTRUCT_WD_URL then just create a link in bsp with the url returned like this:

How to call sub-vis with a click of a button?

Is there any block that functions llike "System Exec" ?
"System Exec" calls only .exe file.
I need a block that can call a Sub-VI.

Here is a way to do it with the example I first showed. I don't know why you could not get it to work, it does. I changed your diaglog vi to have a stop button to close its window. Closing the subvi does NOT close the main.

How to call a form with dabble clicking on a record with one time where clause. I mean when i dabble click on the current record i want to call another form with details of the
record with onetime where clause. Can anyone help me in this regard.

How to close the detach popup on click of a button in the panel collection

Hi,
I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
I have an af table surrounded by panel collection. There is a button on panel collection to commit the changes in the table.
Clicked detach button to view the table in full browser.
On click of Commit button, the detach popup is not closed. I have set partialSubmit of that button to false. Then also detach popup is not closed.
Can anybody suggest me how to close the detach popup on click of a button in the toolbar.

I tried this approach, when the view tree is navigated on the Detach, I see that the tree is same as if it is traversed on the page without detach.

Purchase Order - How to call customised PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT package?

We need to add additional fields to the Standard Purchase Order that is produced by using View Document on the PO form. The only suggestions in the forum so far are to modify the PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT package or the PO%XML views.
But the option of overwriting the seeded package or view is not possible for us. We can only customise the package and compile it under a different name, eg XXPO_COMMUNICATION_PVT. My question is: what changes are needed so that the PO_VIEW_DOCUMENT function calls this new package?
What modifications to the xml and/or java classes are needed? Are there any specific things to look out for so that the java classes compile properly.

I have refered the same .here its mentioned for calling a procedure and running the same.in my case i have a plsql package in the back end which is having so many procedures.so i just need to call.but while directly calling the package.procdure in odi its throwing error like package should be declared.

Help how to Call a New Form

Anyone there that can help me how to call a new form...
Actually I have 3 forms.... the Parent, and 2 child...
child a
child b
I extend JFrame to the Parent...
I extend JDialog to the child....
I want to know how to call child a by the child b.....
this is my code in calling them....
when i'm in the form_b, i used this code to show form_a....
form_a a = new form_a();
a.setVisible(true);
when i'm in the form_a, i used this code to show form_b....
form_b b = new form_b();
b.setVisible(true);
but the problem is when i call either of the two, there's always a new form for form_a and also for form_b....
I want to call the form without opening a new form... that form also will be visible... is there anyways i can do this.... any help will do.... tenks....

One way would be to have the parent maintain instances of A & B and have public methods for accessing A & B. Something like this. You would have to pass a reference to the parent class to A & B so that they can call the access methods.

How to call a PLSQL procedure from MSexcel ?

This is a beginner question. I do not know anything about OLE DB.
I have an Excel sheet on one side.
I have a 9i DB 9.0.1.4 on Sun Sparc on the other side.
I need to call a PLSQL procedure directly from Excel.
HOW TO ?
(This is simply because I need to pass eastern europe special caracters to my PLSQL procedure. Is there another way to do so?)

In MS Excel you use VBA as the Macro Language.
You will need to install the Oracle client and the OLEdb provider.
Once this is done, Run the samples in Visual basic to test connectivity to your database (if you can).
In either case, look at the VB code that connects and calls an Oracle stored procedure. THis code is almost identical in VBA.
Make sure you reference the Microsoft ADO references.

Try to redefine the method and use the IV_TEXT parameter in the CREATE_POPUP_2_CONFIRM method (usaully comes from the Component Controller ).

could some one tell me, how can i cancelling the submission event after one user clicks "yes/no" button of message box? The scenario is the following:
After data input in a dynamic form clicks the user send mail button. Before the email submit, the user has to decide going back to the form and validate the input or continuing to submit email.
In case of going back to validate input the submission event must not solve. So, how can i implemente it in java and/or form calc script?

The most easy way to solve your problem is to add two buttons, the first should be regular button and the second is submit by e-mail one. Set the
'presence' property of the second to 'hidden' and add to it your email address. To the first button on 'click' event add the script like this
