How do I bend an image along a specific curve?

I'm trying to bend a set of panoramic photos around a circle. Most of the discussions I see in this forum are about doing this with text using the Type on a path tool. I'd like to achieve the essentially same thing with a photograph. The warp tool in photoshop seems much too clumsy for my needs. Here is an example of the layout i'm talking about, with black boxes instead of images. Thanks in advance.

If you have the latest CC version, you can create a pixel-based art brush. Otehrwise creating a conventional envelope warp would be an option.

easy stuff. two ways to do it.
1. make a square box and put it on layer #1
2. Make a square box and put it on layer #2
3. on layer #1 select the box and drag into it the sphere filter (under distortion I think) You will see that just the box is affected by the filter. hard to wirk with but it will work for different stuff. play with the settings in the filter inspector.
Now that you have seen the filter on an object within a layer try this:
1. Untick the check mark in layer #1 (turn it off you you cant see it on the canvas)
2. apply the same filter to the entire layer by draging it into the "layer" box in your project payne. Make sure it is applied to the layer not the object on the layer.
3. play with the radius, etc in the filter tab of your inspector and see a far more usable effect. The same apllies for most other effects and filters by applying to entire layers not just objects.
Also now that you have created a sphere type layer ... add some text to the layer and you will see that the text wraps the same way for a real cool effect.

As it should be. You create wrap/ envelope objects for this in AI, but that's best discussed in their forum. Other than that I'm not aware of an easy way to do this in PS. using warping and distortion effects is indeed pretty much what you do...

Embed the image in Illustrator
Object >> Envelope Distort >> Make with warp

Help! Question, how do I move an image along with the text

New to InDesign and I'm creating a how-to brochure of sorts for my business and as I'm making edits/updates I realize I need to insert another picture at the beginning of the document. I already have a bunch of other images throughout the document in specific places that need to remain with the text they are wrapped around. If I try to insert a new picture at the beginning of the document and wrap the text, all of the text moves down throughout the document but the images do not. That means none of the images are in the correct place anymore. Is there a way to make sure if I insert a new picture or text at any place in the document all of the following images move with the text they are by? I'm sure its a simple fix, I just can't figure it out. Thanks.

I have a form with a pictureBox with an annotatable image on it. When the image is dirtied I allow the user to save it. Problem is, after save, I only see the original image, not the annotations.

I try to build a table like that one from the AppStore.
What I did was to create my own UITableViewCell and defined the space for images and text.
Now I call this in the "cellForRowAtIndexPath" method.
The Problem is, that I have to download the images from the web.
So I threaded it that the table will not block (threadForImageLoading-method)

I test it here with an fixed URL-String because I do not know how I can put more that one parameters to my method "threadForImageLoading". In my opinion I just can use one parameter ("withObject:").
This cannot be but unfortunately I didn`t find the right usage to use more than one parameter.
But the main question is: Is it enough to have the "tableCell" in the threadForImageLoading-method that every picture is placed at the correct row?

How can I view only images tagged with specific upper level of keyword heirarchy, not including sub-levels?

I use hierarchical keywords a lot. For example, World/Europe/Austria/Tirol/specific location. I sometimes assign only an upper level keyword (example: Austria) to an image when I don't know more specifics. How can I then view only those images that have the tag that I select but not those with sub-levels of this keyword? Exactly like choosing in Folders view to look only at a selected folder but not sub-folders. There might be a complicated way to set up a smart collection that includes a keyword but excludes images with more than this number of keywords, but that would be really labor intensive.

It's easy but quite obscure: In the Library Filter bar, select the Keyword column. Then click the "properties" button on the right and select View: Flat. Now tediously scroll through the list and select the desired keyword:

I need to size an image to 851 X 315, as recommended by Facebook to fit into the Timeline, but when I type 851 in the width, the Height goes to 532.

No, do not re-import your images. I assume you can see the thumbnails in the library module, just cannot access the full images, right? If this is the case there should be an exclamation mark in the top right corner of every one of your pictures and you only have to tell LR where the images are now.
Click the exclamation mark of one of the images and a dialog window should pop-up, telling you that LR cannot find the file, but with an option to locate it. Press "Locate" and navigate to the folder on your new HD where the file is. If in the new external HD you kept the same folder structure that you had on the internal disk, LR will be able to find all your images and re-link them to the database without further intervention.

Thank you for that correction, Hobotor. I admit I hadn't thought about an image map, in the context of someone who doesn't seem to know HTML very well... My thinking was running along the use of the Photoshop Slice Tool to get most of the way there...
To expand on the above, if you were to slice up your image using the Slice Tool, say like this:
Save for Web & Devices will create the HTML and save all the sub-images.
Then you edit the HTML and add a (hypertext link) elements surrounding the various images. Only thing is you'll have to set the border-style of the images to none.
For example:

How do I source an image with HTML in Adobe Muse?

Hello, I am wanting a horizontal slideshow for images and I got the code to work nicely in my muse website and all I need to do now if populate it with images. I have looked into the syntax for placing an image and I am not too sure how to handle the sourcing (as I've never done code before). It's to go something like this:

I have the images to place in the slideshow sized, cropped, and ready to go in, but I do not know how the input the syntax to "source" my images - they are just sitting in a folder in "my pictures" on my desktop. My workplace has a server where we all can access the same files...will that help? I've seen where people reference images in their code simply by typing the web address of their website with the image name at the end....which confuses me! -> how do I upload an image to my Muse website without it being seen and then reference it in a slideshow? That process doesn't seem to make sense. I'm lost! Help please!

The other 5% is how well will Muse play with all that. To that I cannot answer fully because I haven't tested every scenario. Again, the inherent nature of Muse is "designed" to stray away from custom coding. Also in your previous post it is a little unclear as to your where all your Muse folders/files are residing. IE: on your companies server or on BC or a bit of both. I know ultimately all your trying to do is point to something. Seems simple enough right? And there may in your developement come a time when you need the more advanced CMS features, which is why BC seems logical.
What you find along the way is that it can get more involved then you anticipated. Certainly if you can make it work then go for it. The problem is at times, while things can seem simple in theory, without sufficient practice employing those theories (the coding/the syntax) then any # of errors can happen leaving you scratching your head and cursing why you bothered in the first place. Another option is to rethink your strategy. Is it really all that important to have the uber cool linear continuous scrolling effect? Will this define my site? Can I implore some imagination and thinking and make it easier on myself by using the tool at hand (Muse) to it's max to achieve the end goal?
Just some food for thought but as previously stated if you can make it work then go for it. And if the mods or other users can be of more help than I, then that would be great as well!

Edit - With so much going on myself, I forgot to mention that (when you have all your i's dotted and t's cossed) you could try inserting the script into the html for head feature via the metadata tab in your page properties.

How do I place an image from PS into InDesign?

Hi,
I created a notecard in Photoshop and need to put two on a page in InDesign CS3. I placed the graphic on the page but it's way larger than the designated paper size. I tried going to Object>Fitting to fix the problem but nothing happened. So I tried manually setting the height and width I needed the image to be on the page and it resized the image okay but I couldn't see the entire image within the new size. So my question is how do I place an image, get it to the dimensions I need (see dimensions below) and add two to a page?
FYI: The paper size is: 8.5 x 11 inches. The graphics are 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I need to print two to a page.

To add to M Blackburn's advise, the two selection tools will change what you can do.
The Selection tool (solid black arrow) will allow you to select the frame itself. It will only select the content if you click on the donut. When the frame is selected, you will see the frame with handles on the corners and centers of lines, and it will be in the color designated to the layer. The default color for layer one is blue, but this can be changed, so don't be thrown if it isn't blue for some reason. Dragging the handles will change the size and placement of the frame, and when moved toward the image, will crop it. Holding the shift key while dragging a handle will keep the frame within proportion (a 3"x5" rectangle will remain 3 units by 5 units, although those units will be larger or smaller than an inch, depending on whether you enlarge or shrink the frame).
The Direct Selection tool (white arrow) will select the content, rather than the frame. When selecting the content, you will see the handles on a bounding box around the content, and the color will be light brown. Dragging a handle will change the size of the image, and you can also drag the whole image to move it in relation to the frame, which can be used to crop the image as well. Holding shift will keep the image size proportional.
You should take notice of whether the frame color or the content color is what you see, because double-clicking with the Selection tool will toggle between frame and content, the way clicking within the donut will allow content to be edited while the Selection tool is active.
If you want to view the image size as a percentage, using the Direct Selection tool is what you want. If you use the Selection tool, you will see the percentage of the frame, which will change while you are dragging it, but as soon as you release the mouse button, it will show 100%. Switching to the Direct Selection tool will show you the percentage of reduction or enlargement of the image itself, and if the X and Y aren't the same, your image is out of proportion.
Lastly, the shift key, along with Command will probably be what you will use the most, as it will allow you to drag a corner of the frame of a placed image with the Selection tool and proportionally resize the content along with the frame.

Along with these i need to display Add and Delete Command links in second column.
But Delete Operation should not available for Departments...
So how to conditionally stop delete image from rendering for departments...

You don't need disabled though rendered property. Sorry.
You'll find it in property inspector for image component. There you will enter the binding to the method that you should write in backing bean (method name must start with "get"). You can also use binding editor for entering correct binding string while working in property inspector.
Method in backing bean, for example:
