How to stop the Sending USSD message on my iPad since upgrading. The eKit SIMM worked fine on my older iPad. Thanks
Wiping my phone, restoring from backup, AND wiping all iTunes related files (from a search in Library and in Music) seems to have stopped this behavior.
(I couldn't wipe the iTunes files on the machine with my media and apps, but I did so on the other machine--where I only sync contacts, calendars and bookmarks. My iTunes library is empty there anyway.)
I don't know if this relates to an "app synching" issue that iTunes 9.0.1 fixed. Could be.

How to stop "Cannot send email" message?
Whenever I send a message in Mail under Lion, I get a dialog box that says it cannot send the email because I haven't chosen a preferred server for my account. That's not true. For each account, I've checked the box that says "Use Only This Server." The message composition window doesn't have a place to choose an outgoing server, as previous Mail versions did, so it should just take the one that goes with the email address that's the account sending the thing, but it doesn't. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can stop this from happening? Thanks.
Mail>Preferences>Accounts. Make sure the Outgoing server is as your ISP wants it to be.

Hello, I am running Mac OS X 10.9.3. Someone has been pestering me with unwanted e-mail. There used to be a feature that allowed one to "bounce" unwanted mail back to the sender, a message saying they have reached a wrong address. How do I do that now? TYIA
It is not available in Mail any longer (for quite a while, now).
You can add a rule to have Mail mark them as junk, or you could possibly log onto your Email provider's web site and block that address. -
I'm trying to view a site that sends a message that I don't have the most recent graphic card drivers to view with. It suggests I have the ability to view, but that my drivers might be disabled. I don't know how to check to see what graphic drivers my macbook (end of 2008 model) have enable. Can someone help?
You don't need to care about graphic driver on Mac OSX. It includes in OSX and run the driver your MacBook need.

How do I send text messages from my Ipod touch? The "send" button does not light up.
First of all, you need you have at least iOS 5 installed. Second, the person you are texting must have an iDevice with iOS 5 or higher installed. You can´t send messages to an non-iDevice. You´ll also need an Wi-Fi network to send iMessages. Hope it helped!

Since upgrading to 4.0, my email settings have been changed so that the reply cursor appears at the bottom of the sender's message instead of the top. I hate this change - please can someone tell me how to change it back?
This is a carrier feature.
Contact your carrier -
On previous iPhones you could go to settings and block the the actual text message from pooping up. Only the sender would show up. On the i4gs the sender and message show up. This is a major flaw as far as privacy. There are no options with in settings to stop this from happening. PLEASE TELL ME IM WRONG ???
YOU ARE WRONG.
Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages. You can turn Notifcation Center off for Messages, or select None for the alert style, and turn Show Preview off, and view in Lock Screen on or off. -
How do I on IPHONE 6 have audio message option not just have the option it seems for other people with Iphones. Even Nokia phones have this very BASIC function/? Also how can you BULK DELETE Emails, I get hundreds of junk ones per day, and simply want to go, Select ALL or SELECT ALL READ and then press DELETE ONCE not hundreds of times????
No, basic Nokia phones do not, and have never had a function to easily send audio messages universally. SMS is a carrier feature and uses a very basic transfer mechanism and works only for short, 160-character messages. Through software, some phones later allowed you to type longer messages that the device then broke up seamlessly and sent as multiple SMS messages. MMS is another carrier service developed to be able to transport multimedia like audio and pictures. Again, very basic transfer and usually slow and low quality. Both of these are again, operator services. Your iPhone can send those messages to non-iPhone users using standard carrier services.
On the other hand, your iPhone Messages app uses your iPhone data plan - not unlike your home Internet service - to transfer audio, video and images through Apple's iMessage service. Other services exist that do something similar - WhatsApp for example - which also requires both the sender and recipient to use their app for the service to work.
As for email, Meg is correct. Your email provider is the first line of defense against spam. You should adjust your filters. That said, iOS Mail app had a delete all function, but not in places where it can do more harm than good - i.e. the Inbox. It is present only in the Junk and Trash folders where, presumably, your email provider or you have already been through some decision making process and deemed those emails acceptable to be deleted en masse. -
attemped instructions in Mountain Lion to change my e mail address to the recommended i cloud.com address.
The drop down in the SEND NEW MESSAGES FROM does not have the i cloud e mail option.
How do I change it??Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again. -
after opening an email I knew to be a phishing attempt, I forwarded it to my bank's spam/phishing email address. I did NOT click any link in the suspicious email. only forwarded it.
now when I try to send an email I get the following error message:
Sending of message failed.
Unable to open the temporary file C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\nsemail.eml. Check your 'Temporary Directory' setting.
I can't find a temp directory. where is this and how do I fix it?Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.

I cannot open iCal because of a problem. Can anybody help me? The computer will not allow it to open and sends a message to apple each time. The icon has gone from the dock, but ical works on my iPad and I am afraid to sync it with my computer in case it wipes everything .
I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2). -
For some reason I cannot send email - all was working fine, but now I get the following error message when I try to send email:
'The sender address (my email address) was rejected by the server smtp.tiscali.co.uk'
I can receive incoming mail ok and I can send email from other Apple devices. The problem seems confined to my Mac Book Pro.
