How to use Flex builder with blazeds and JBoss

Following the instructions it is pretty easy to set up a project to work with the turnkey tomcat. However, I am having problems with JBoss because the app has to be deployed as a .war file. I can create a war file manually and depoly it no problem. How do I get flex builder to deploy to a war file? I want to be able to debug in flex builder and run at the click of a button.

But when i give http://localhost:8080/blazeds ... i am always getting "Page not found 404" error. Please help me, if you have detailed steps to configure BlazeDS on JBoss. Thanks for your time.

Flex components are delivered as SWCs just like Flash components, but the
SWC format is incompatible with the Flash IDE.
Also, the default fl.. components in the Flash IDE are incompatible with
Flex components.
You should be able to load a Flex SWF into a Flash SWF as long as you aren't
using fl.. components in the Flash SWF. If the Flex SWF overlays things
in your Flash SWF then it might block interaction, but otherwise it
shouldn't. I don't think the statement you quoted is true for all
configurations.
But loading a Flex SWF into a Flash SWF isn't going to help you use those
Flex components from your Flash IDE. Try Flash Builder 4 to build out the
Flex portion of your application. I haven't tried it myself, but it I think
it is supposed to have better integration with Flash.

I have 2 parameters from customer and to customer, both these have same LOV,
I have to add 2 more parameters from location and to location
If i use $FLEX$.customer_LOV to pass to the from location LOV how can i use $FLEX$ to pass the TO customer LOV to TO Location LOV.
As per my knowledge $FLEX$ can be passed from top to bottom in the list of parameters.
Is there any other way to restrict.

Is there any method to let web site which use SSRS and Report Builder use different permission extension module?
In our web site project we use ReportingService2010 Methods to show and operate folder and report which stored in Report Service, in our project configuration file, we use windows authentication mode for Report Service.
In requirement 1.User can do any operation in folder “A” and folder “B” (we can create and delete report or folder) in web site. 2.User can’t use “Report Builder” to save reports which created by Report Builder to folder “B”, Reports which created by Report
Builder only can be saved in folder “A”. [User click “Report Builder” button in our web page to start Report Builder, use “Report Builder” to create report, if user want to save report, we need to hidden folder “B” in “Report Builder” or we need to remove
some operate right from folder “B”.]
We have two solution:
1. We want to write extension module to process this issue, we want to re-write CheckAccess method which will be called by web site backend and Report Builder, but how can we know who called CheckAccess method[Web site backend called CheckAccess method
or Report Builder?]
2. We want to let Web site back-end use permission extension module named WebSitePer.dll, and Report Builder use PBPer.dll, how to modify the configuration file?

As far as I know, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), have no permission extension. In Reporting Services, it is use role-based security to grant user access to a report server. There are two types of roles: Item-level roles and System-level roles.
Based on my test, if we assign user with System User System-level role, the user will have permission to user Report Builder to create report. However, if we only assigned Browser or Report Builder Item-level role to the user, he/she will have no permission
to publish the report to the report server. In this situation, although user have permission user Report Builder to edit the report, it will have no effect of the report in report server. User who has assigned Browser or Report Builder Item-level role will
have no permission to delete report in the report server.

How to use sql request with Jdev and database connection

Hello,
I have a login page with simple username and password inputsecret text and a button validate! I would like, when the user click on the validate button, to check in the database that the user and password matches. I've done the "Method BIndind..." with the commandButton_action and the database connection works fine.
How can I use an already existing procedure, say authenticate, wich is stored in the database to authenticate my user ?
Do I have to create a jdbc connection in java even if I've done the connection with the "create new database connection" wizard ?

Creating a connection to the DB in JDeveloper doesn't mean that your application is now connected to the DB - so yes you do need to create a connection to the database using JDBC.
One note - if you are trying to do a database user authentication the following is probably the better way to go about it:

How to use thunderbolt port with disks and DVI-display

today I use a 15" MacBookPro and have attached 1TB LaCie with FW800 (for time machine) and DVI-Display using Mini-port.
Need to add more external disk space and look for Lacie 2 TB with thunderbolt connection (for storing mass of pictures in Raid1 version)
Is it possible to connect the new disk, the other disk with an Thunderbolt->FW800 adapter and the DVI-Display to one thunderbolt port?
What are the options I have, to get all three to work at the same time?

No, or at least not without additional hardware. You have too many end-points for one Thunderbolt chain.
You also have the problem that the Thunderbolt->FW800 adapter is not yet for sale.
If the new disk you get has two Thunderbolt ports (which not all do), you could daisy-chain the Thunderbolt->FW800 adapter behind it, but that adapter has to be at the end of the chain. The Mini-port->DVI adapter likewise needs to be at the end of a chain.
So, you can probably get all three connected at one time by connecting the "1TB LaCie with FW800 (for time machine)" to your FW800 port, while connecting the Thunderbolt->FW800 adapter (when available) to the second port of the new disk. I say "probably" because nobody has the TB-FW adapter yet to try it.
As for doing it on one Thunderbolt port with additional hardware, you might look into third-party docking stations being released in the next few months. The announced prices are in the low-to-middle hundreds. I won't mention brand names, as this is an Apple forum, but they aren't too hard to find by web search.
The highest-priced solution would be the Apple Thunderbolt Display, which gives you a FW800 port for your 1TB drive, a pass-thru Thunderbolt port for your new disk, and of course a 2560x1440 display (plus ethernet and usb2 ports you may not need). It's available now, in the uppermost hundreds. There are some refurbs in the online Apple Store at the moment at 15% off.

The Acrobat SDK is free and can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com\devnet\acrobat. Please note to use the SDK you require Acrobat/Reader to be installed.
As for using it with c#, there are a number of sample files in the SDK that can be used to learn. There is also documentation online and in the SDK.

I've got a problem, during the call to a StoredProcedure in SQLServer i've get the next message:
Exception : com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Fetch size cannot be negative
The stored procedure is working correctly if I run my process out of WAS 6.x but if I get a connection from the pool the process don't work.

Your procedure has a single OUT parameter ... and yet it appears you are trying to stuff something into it ... that is never going to work. Additionally everything else about your stored procedure would have gotten you a FAIL grade were you been in my beginning PL/SQL class.
The syntax, a cursor loop, is obsolete and has been for more than 10 years.
The formatting and use of case makes even the few lines written hard to read.
And either no commit ever takes place or you are trying to do incremental commits in origseq: Both of which are bad practice.
This code should use BULK COLLECT to collect all relevant records into an array and then pass the array to origseq ... no loops ... and end with a commit.

Any solutions

Ensure the services-config.xml on the running server contains the same
channel definition as the services-config.xml you point at when you compile
the Flex application.
It looks like the application is attempting to use a URL
('http://localhost:9081/biz/messagebroker/amf') that the server is not
listening to (404 not found).

It is easy to transfer data between a simple input/output dll build with LV and an external code like C++, but when data are available inside a loop running in the dll(in fact thread running in LV); How can I read them or receive an handle pointer to the calling C++ application when new data are ready.

If you're using LabVIEW 7, you can use the PostLVUserEvent function to fire an event for an event structure in LV. Refer to the Using External Code in LV manual.
Or you could use datasocket for this. The datasocket activex dll is nids.dll. You could have the class wizard generate wrappers for you or if you have Measurement Studio, you could use the custom wrappers it provides to communicate between the VI and dll.

I don't believe you can add the interface via the creation
dialog in FlexBuilder 3. You can always manually add the
"implements" property to your MXML Component root tag. Something
like this: <mx:VBox implements="com.mycorp.IMyInterface">
If you want autogeneration of the interface, then create an
ActionScript class with that interface and then copy the generated
functions and setter/getters into the script block of your MXML
component.

Flex has a very limited support for HTML, thus you cannot
create a full featured editor within flex. The only work arounds I
have seen are done using IFRAME's over your app.
Not sure if it an option, however Apollo does a good job of
addressing this issue by allowing full feature Javascript and HTML.
