I'm so very mad at Toshiba. U845T Is this a Windows 8 only computer??? I can't install any other OS

I would consider myself a Pro regarding hardware and software yet I can't figure out any way to install Windows 7 or any other OS on this piece of **bleep**. The mainboard and BIOS I have never heard of and it plain sucks. I've tried installing from windows, from DVD, from Flash drive etc. I even turned off UEFI and tried to format the drive to start fresh with no luck. I HATE windows 8 even with Classic Shell. With UEFI Bios on Win 7 disk doesn't see any drives. With it off it doesn't boot the DVD. No matter what I select as the primary boot device it still loads Win 8 and I have to go into advanced start options every time to try to boot media. This computer is a nightmare and I'll never buy one again. I'll try tech support but I'm not hopeful. If you read this and haven't purchased a new computer yet. Save yourself a lot of headache and just buy a Mac. Not a fan of OS X? No problem. You can install Windows, Linux, or Solaris without issue. If you've uncovered the secret to getting this brick to run Win 7 please reply because I can't return it at this point.

It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

Apparently, security programs like Macafee and Norton view Itunes updates as new programs and block then from access. If you add Itunes to the list of exemptions, it solves the problem.

Are you able to open Mail from the Applications folder? If so, then the alias in the Dock is probably not linked to the Mail in Applications for some reason. Click and drag the Mail alias in the Dock off the Dock so it goes poof. Then click and drag Mail to the Dock again to create a new Dock alias.

Issue Restoring Toshiba Satellite Pro C50-A, Windows 8.1 Pro

The hard drive that came with my laptop was full so i purchased a new hard drive and i was using the system restore disks that came with my laptop to load windows onto the hard drive, it was working fine up until when i put the third disk in and the disk
drive didn't activate and it was stuck on the copying files screen, i left it be for half the day when i went to school and when i got back nothing had changed so i hard restarted it and tried again from disk one. same thing happens it worked fine up until
disk 3 when it just did nothing i had a solid white light (power) and i solid orange light (wifi) and the disk drive light would blink when i inserted the 3rd disk like it was reading it but then it just turned off ( no more light on disk drive)

I would suggest you to use some disk checking tool and see if the reading/writing of data is working fine from all the disks.
If its fine then you should talk to Toshiba Support on this.

If you are talking about the hard drive it works fine, i was running Ubuntu on it before this and i never had a problem, and if you are talking about the actual disks they work fine to i have used them before and they are from manufacturer, but to make sure
i put my old hard drive back in and made a recovery flash disk and its been stuck at 26% for like an hour now...

1) Unable to get the main part of my touch pad to respond to tapping. In the control panel we made sure that tapping and tap zone was enable. Someone said to hold fn & f9 simultaneously but it still doesn't let me tap on the larger main part of touch pad.
2) When trying to turn up volume by + sign it makes a alarm sound (PC beep) and as soon as I let go it goes back to where it was. When using icon in system tray it does the same thing (alarm sounds (PC beep) and it automatically goes back all the way down). Even going into control panel >sound>speaker >properties to turn up volume does the same thing. Any help with these two problems would be greatly appreciated.

ok number 1, try going to ''device manager'' which is found by typing it into the white box when you press the start windows button in the far bottom left corner, the find the device that controls your touchpad... e.g (smart pad etc), it should be easy to find under ''mice and other pointing devices'' then id like you to ''disable'' the device, ignore any messages, and then wait a few seconds, and go back and ''enable'' it, then restart, this should resolve the problem, otherwise its a case that it is damaged, or needs updated drivers or re installing, but try that first...
Number 2, this is an ongoing problem, and should only last for a few mins until it fixes, if the problem is more serious try this: go to the speaker icon, and right click, then click, ''playback devices'' then the tabs at the top? you see one called ''communications'' well, click that tab, and change the setting to ''do nothing'' see if that resolves it. if not i obviously have more complex solutions, im just giving you thr most common fixes.

Now, I bought Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and I have a problem anywhere, not allowed to find this program of-saver to install on Windows 7 x64 with Toshiba and the Internet sites I tested everything I think.

You said something about Toshiba Quad Core HD CPU.
Please note that not all G50 Qosmio notebooks support this feature.
So it would be very interesting to know what G50-xxx you have exactly

In order to use the Toshiba Quad Core HD CPU you need to install the HD Processor Driver and HD Console as well.

BlueTooth can not find any device or cell - TOSHIBA Qosmio X505-Q894

I have a TOSHIBA Qosmio X505-Q894 win 7 64 bit My Bluetooth will NOT find any devices.... Including my phone, HTC evo 4g. I'm at a coffee shop and my phone sees 6+ items and my PC sees none I have uninstalled all the Bluetooth devices in Device Manager and reinstalled Toshiba Stack 6.4 and 7.xx differenttimes. I also have turned off "auto windows driver update" so it didn't interfer with the toshiba download drivers. I have made my phone discoverable and also my phone does not see my laptop even....

Very strange bug with AIR and native process (Windows 7, EXE)

Hello to everyone!
The situation is:
I've made an AIR Application, inside of that is running a native process - EXE file.
I'm using Flash CC as IDE and tried to use compile that as EXE with AIR 2.6 and 3.6 - results are same.
So I've insert inside a checking if Native Process is supported or not and the Native process is supported all the time.
When I've just installed the application and run it - the very first attempt is good - everything is working as a must: internal EXE is called by my Application with necessary parameters as many time as I'm need.
However if I'll close the App and then will run it again - internal EXE is not starting at all, doesn't depends on number of attempts to re-start of the App.
So only way is to uninstall, install it back and then you'll be one more session of successful internal EXE-requests, till the next re-start of the App.
That's it.
I've tried to "google it" but unsuccessful. Probably the bug is very rare.
Help me please?
Update: at compilation with Flash CC IDE it's working all the time with no any issues.
Update-2: when I'm running installator-EXE, there is going a notification "Same version is installed, etc." and then selected "Run Now" - there is also working with no problems.

Well, I've found the solution and answer by myself and here is it please:
In case with same situation as above you need to add just one line in your AS3-code
nativeProcessStartupInfo.workingDirectory = File.applicationDirectory;
And you will be happy so much

Are there any other rebooting options for the Toshiba, Satellite A215-S7425 without discs?

I can't find any of the reformatting discs my laptop came with. I was wondering if there are other possible ways to wipe everything off my laptop without performing a manual reboot. I.e. On start-up menu pressing F10 or so?

Do you just want to reformat the hard drive or do you want to install and OS (as in recover the system to it's factory out of box state)? If all you want to do is reformat the hard drive you can use any number of self booting tools that you can download. All formatting does is prepare the hard drive for use by placing magnetic markers on the drive surface to define the sectors in which data is stored in preperation to installing an operating system.
If you want to actually install an OS hold down the 0 (zero) key when powering up the system. If it has a hard drive based recovery system this will invoke it. If it doesn't then you'll either need to find your disks, contact Toshiba and order replacement disks as per this post, purchase a new Windows disk to install Windows, or download a free Linux disk and use that.
Plus there is no way to do this without doing a reboot of the system. It's physically impossible.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

hello, there's a general regression in firefox 27 that won't allow files to download directly into a root drive. please try to create a subfolder (like ''E:\Downloads'') and set this as default location for downloads...
