In scene selection mode, can you make iDVD return to the scene selection menu after playing that scene without continuing to play all the other scenes?

After selecting one scene from the scene selection menu, the following scenes play automatically, as if it were in "play movie" mode. Is there a way to stop that behavior and have the DVD return to the scene selection menu after playing just the selected scene?

give the function of a Play All button - Tested - and ONE HAS TO un-cheque - Scale pictures to TV-Safe area else it will be a black frame all around and a small picture !

You might be able to get close to what you want by using a slideshow in iDVD. (It's not widely known, but you can put videos in a slideshow.) If you set the slide duration to manual, playback will pause after each movie/slide, and you can continue with the 'next' button.

Ah - If you are just using bindings between various objects from Interface Builder, you can reduce your application code a bit (sometimes quite a bit), but there is only so far you can go. Typically variables and routines are defined in your application that Interface Builder hooks into, so that your application code (usually Objective-C, but can be others) can use these variables and routines to determine what is happening in the user interface.
I'm not sure how up-to-date the project code is (or what programming code you are familiar with), but you can take a look at Apple's Cocoa Application Tutorial to see what is (usually) involved in creating an application.

Can you make a DVD without a menu?

We need to make a DVD of a Quicktime movie I created.
I can do it just fine using one of the supplied themes.
Looks great.
But in this circumstance I need to make it so the movie keeps playing continuously in a loop.
Is there a way to make it do that through iDVD?
I also tried a version using Roxio Toast.
It can create a menu-less DVD that plays back continuously.
But the quality pales by comparison to what iDVD creates.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can't make captions with iPhoto. You can edit the title of a photo by selecting it and then going to the Info window at the bottom of the Source pane, the "i" button, clicking on the title field and enter what text you'd like.
If you plan on using the slideshow in iDVD then those titles will not show as they will be lost in the "overscan" area that is common to all movies played on TV. You can create the slideshow in iMovie and have lots of control over titles and subtitles and greater control of the audio track, cut, fade in/out, etc.

Can you populate popups depending on what previous selections you made?

Im not sure if this is in the correct forum but is it possible but can you make popups populate depending on a previous popup selection?
As an example if you have a popup with 2 selections 10 and 20 could you have a second popup display either selections form 11,12,13 to 19 and 21,22,23 to 29?
So in Popup 1 you select 10. Popup 2 only shows 11, 12, 1319.

You need to format the cells in the row as "Pop-up Menu". This can be done with the "Inspector" or using the formatting section of the tool bar. If you have a number of cells, select them all first, then make them pop-ups and establish the set of choices. In this way they will apply to all the selected cells.
The values of pop-up cell are just the value of what ever is selected. There are no formulas involve with making the pop-up. These values should transfer to excel, put the list of choices may not.

Can you make a new category in the movies library? I put my home movies into the "Home Videos" category. I put movies into the "Movies" category. I would like to make a new one. "Work Videos" . Is this possible?

You Cannot make a new Movie Media Kind, they are set by apple to be Movie and Home Video. However under Genre you could create a new Genre and call it whatever you want by typing in the Genre Box in the Get Info , Info page. This will then be available for future selections.
I am sure there are other ways to achieve what you want with different naming convention - it is up to you but you cannot add another Media Kind like Home Video

If you want your kids to be able to use multiple apps, then you can't lock your Mail app and keep the out of it, and the only way to lock Messages is to turn it off in the Restrictions.
