LG Cosmos Touch - Transferred phone, but can't get rid of old user's Backup Assistant

Hello! I'm trying to transfer one of my phones (an LG Cosmos Touch) to someone else (on my account), but I can't get the old user's Backup Assistant information removed. I've tried removing the app so I can download a new copy; it tells me it's removed, but it's still on the list. I've tried syncing the new user's contact list to the phone from the computer, but the phone tells me the number's changed, and if I try running Backup Assistant it still tries to contact the account for the OLD number, not the new. I just reloaded the address book by hand (since there weren't too many numbers yet), but I'd LIKE to be able to run Backup Assistant for the new user of the phone, whom I'm sure will be adding additional contacts. How can I do this if I can't replace the app? Thanks for any help you can provide.

On most devices where you can't remove Backup Assistant, you can do the following to get rid of it.
1) Open up Backup Assistant.
2) Press on help (may be under options).
3) From the help screen type in *73738#.
4) This will remove Backup Assistant and you can just reconfigure it altogether.
I hope this helps someone who is in the same predicament. NO need to master reset the phone to get rid of Backup Assistant. Woohoo!

- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
- Instead, try restoring from backup.

Thanks for the question. The following resource provides troubleshooting information if you have forgotten your passcode:

If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
5. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.

YOu did not properly deactivate your CC. Delete the SLstore and PCD folder stuff.

How can I get rid of old books that I have deleted from my device? It still shows up as purchased books on "Icloud".

Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. Also, you need to have activated the computer for use with itunes. Why that's not done when you install is a mystery.
Because you don't need an iTunes account tio use or install iTunes.
You cannot authorize the computer until you have an account because that's what you are authorizing.
Note, you can only have 5 active computers, but you can deactivate all of them.
You can have 5 computers authorized at any one time. You can only select Deauthorize all when you do hae 5 authorized and you can only do it one time per year.
Next, create/update your itunes account.
Again you cannot "activate" (which is authorize) unless you have an iTunes account. So you cannot authorize iTunes and then create an iTunes account.

HT4847 How do I unlock my ipad. It Wants me to back up icloud but can't get rid of message to try

My ipad is showing a message that advises icloud has not been backed up for 2 weeks and the ipad needs to be plugged in and charging to enable back up. Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. This just restarts it, you won't lose any data by doing this.

Uninstalled Roboform, but can't get rid of Roboform Lite icon in toolbar.

I uninstalled the Pro version of Roboform. I was told that some files were still on the pc under a file called "siber". I deleted the siber folder.

Have a look in the Extensions menu. Click Firefox button | Add-ons | Extensions.

So you have these podcasts downloaded and stored in your iTunes library is that correct? However, they will not sync with the device? Are these video or audio podcasts?
How is your Nano currently configured to sync podcasts? You can check this by viewing the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes. To view this tab, plug your iPod in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the Summary tab that now shows to the right. Look for the Podcasts tab along the top and select it. Here you can configure how and what Podcasts are synced.
If you do happen to make any changes from under this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button to sync the updated changes to the Nano.

Is your account listed in Settings>iCloud? If not y ohave to first delete the iCloud account from the iPod by going to the bottom of the screen. You have to enter the password for the listed ID. That is part of the Activation Lock

Withou that or without getting the previous owner to remove the device from their account

The iPod is not usable to you. If you can get either of the above two thnks done. restore the iPPod via iTunes and set it up with your account

Round movie frame but can't get rid of white corners

I've used a rounded-rectangle as a mask so the corners of the
movie are rounded. That works, but the corners (background?) are
white still: basically I have a rounded movie playing in a square
white box. How can I get the background to be transparent?

I should have mentioned I'm using swfobject to embed the
movie in my final page. I've tried passing the "bgcolor" param
without effect. I'll see if I can learn anything using your

the params. I also discovered I was omitting to set the
expressinstall param of swfobject to false, so that's why my

I have just updated the software on my pad to ios7. Big mistake. It is ugly and unpleasant to use. Also, on safari there are icons which I have no wish to use, but can't get rid of. Can I revert to the previous operating system?

Firstly, the icons when you load safari are your bookmarks in the favourite section. To remove them you can simply either delete them or move them to another bookmark folder. To access your bookmarks tap the blue book in the top right corner and then go through to bookmarks and select and edit from there, goodluck :)
