Libtrash not working properly
Hi all I'm having problems since a few days with my libtrash configuration. Everything was ok, I mean the library did its job correctly when deleting a file/directory and moving it to a Trash folder of my choice. Now it doesn't move the file to the Trash directory, it simply move the file/directory to the home directory with a Trash prefix, e.g. I delete the file /any/path/foo it goes into /home/user/Trashfoo . This way my home directory gets filled with all the files with a Trash prefix, and I have to disalble the LD_PRELOAD and removing all those files manually, that is not exactly a confortable setup.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
This is my configuration file (.libtrash)
# CONFIGURATION:
# Four of these settings, DEBUG, PERSONAL_CONF_FILE, WARNING_STRING and
# UNCOVER_DIRS, define variables which cannot be changed at run-time by
# editing a personal configuration file. The first three can only be set
# in this file (libtrash.conf) at compile-time; the last of the four,
# UNCOVER_DIRS, can't be set in any file, and is only meant to be used

# Due to the fact that this file is used to generate the system-wide

# you set this setting to NO, you will _NOT_ be fully protected from
# devastating commands such as
# 'rm -rf *'
# In this case, libtrash would store a copy of all "deleted" files under

IGNORE_EDITOR_TEMPORARY = YES
# This setting allows you to instruct libtrash to never allow the

# "disappear", libtrash won't behave in the way you would expect it to

# be particularly serious if your variables differ from the compile-time

LIBTRASH_CONFIG_FILE_UNREMOVABLE = YES
# This setting determines whether requests by users which would cause
# the destruction of a file outside of their home directory are
# intercepted, i.e., if such files are moved to the user's trash can or
# really destroyed. Of course, any of these things will only happen if
# the user has sufficient permissions. If you set this variable to YES,
# you should take a look at TRASH_SYSTEM_ROOT below. An example: Alice
# tries to unlink() / common / latest-news.txt. If you set
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION to YES, / common / latest-news.txt will be moved to
# / home / alice / Trash / SYSTEM_ROOT / common / latest-news.txt,
# assuming that TRASH_SYSTEM_ROOT is set to SYSTEM_ROOT. If
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION had the value NO, / common / latest-news.txt would
# be unlink()ed using glibc's unlink(), and no copy would be stored in
# Alice's TRASH_CAN. If Alice lacked write-permission to that directory
# in the first place, her request would naturally fail.
# NOTES:
# 1- This _DOESN'T_ apply to requests which would destroy files under
# one of the "protected" directories listed in UNREMOVABLE_DIRS: if the
# super user lists /lib in unremovable_dirs, and sets GLOBAL_PROTECTION,
# trying to unlink(), e.g., /lib/libc.so.6 will still fail: the original
# file (actually, it is a symlink) will be left in the same place, and
# it won't be copied to her TRASH_CAN. If GLOBAL_PROTECTION hadn't been
# set, exactly the same thing would have happened: this request would
# have been ignored. Summary: UNREMOVABLE_DIRS takes precedence over
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION.
# 2- Files under TEMPORARY_DIRS are always ignored: e.g., requests to
# unlink() files under these dirs are passed on to glibc's unlink()
# independently of the value of GLOBAL_PROTECTION. It doesn't make any
# sense to allow storing back-up copies of temporary files; besides,
# this would make your TRASH_CAN unbrowsable due to the quantity of
# litter (pun intended).
# 3- If you set GLOBAL_PROTECTION to YES, and then proceed to delete a
# file on a partition or file system different from the one on which
# your home directory resides, the file will be _copied_ byte-after-byte
# to your trash can. If the file is very large (e.g., ISO images), that
# operation will take some time.
GLOBAL_PROTECTION = YES
# This setting sets the default name of the directory under TRASH_CAN
# which will serve as "root" of the file system if you have set
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION above (if GLOBAL_PROTECTION is set to NO, this value
# is ignored). E.g.: if you set this setting to SYSTEM_ROOT, and
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION is set to YES, trying to unlink()
# /common/interesting-stuff/important.html will result in a copy of the
# deleted file in / (YOUR_HOME_DIR) / (YOUR_TRASH_CAN) / SYSTEM_ROOT /
# common / interesting-stuff / important.html. Just like TRASH_CAN, it
# musn't contain any slashes - it should be a plain directory name:
TRASH_SYSTEM_ROOT = SYSTEM_ROOT
# This variable defines a list of directories under which no files will
# ever be destroyed by the user running a program under libtrash. They
# won't be transferred to the user's TRASH_CAN: these requests are
# simply ignored and an error code is returned after each call to the
# "wrapped" functions.
# NOTES:
# 1- Each user can choose her own list of "untouchable" dirs.
# 2- root can use this variable to prevent catastrophic events which
# would render a system unusable, e.g., "rm -r /". Leave this setting
# empty (i.e., enter a newline after the equal sign) if you don't need
# this feature. Otherwise, fill in a semi-colon separated list of
# directories. A list of system directories which will prevent root
# from seriously damaging the system is provided as an alternative.
# 3- Directories can be easily removed from this list at run-time
# through the use of the UNCOVER_DIRS environmental variable (see
# below).
UNREMOVABLE_DIRS =
#UNREMOVABLE_DIRS=/bin;/boot;/dev;/etc;/lib;/sbin;/usr
# This is a convenience configuration variable: it simply instructs
# libtrash to temporarily remove the listed directory(ies) from the
# UNREMOVABLE_DIRS variable. Additionally, it can also be used to
# override PROTECT_TRASH from the command line, so that you can
# permanently destroy files in your trash can without having to
# completely disable libtrash during that interval. I came up with this
# idea when I noticed that, more often than not, whenever I issued a
# command as root I was prefixing it with either "TRASH_OFF=YES" or
# "UNREMOVABLE_DIRS=''", because it would typically try either to
# perform changes in one of the UNREMOVABLE_DIRS or to permanently
# remove files from my trash can. For that reason, you can now easily
# remove the directory(ies) you are updating from UNREMOVABLE_DIRS
# without completely disabling libtrash.
# Notes:
# 1- Since this variable lists exceptions to UNREMOVABLE_DIRS, it is
# empty by default and can't be set in the personal configuration file:
# it is meant to be used only at the command line (e.g.,
# "UNCOVER_DIRS=/usr/ rm /usr/foo").
# 2- You can set UNCOVER_DIRS to one or more subdirectories of a (higher
# level) directory listed in UNREMOVABLE_DIRS. This means that if you
# have set UNREMOVABLE_DIRS to /abc, and wish to delete everything
# beneath /abc/def/, you can use the command "UNCOVER_DIRS=/abc/def rm
# -R /abc/def" -- you only need to "uncover" what you wish to destroy or
# modify.
# 3- The format is the same as for UNREMOVABLE_DIRS: semi-colon
# separated list of directories, without any white-space in the middle
# and without quotes. To override PROTECT_TRASH, just list the path to
# your trash can.
# 4- AGAIN: (i) Leave UNCOVER_DIRS empty in this file. (ii) Don't set
# UNCOVER_DIRS in your personal configuration file. ==> (iii) Use it
# only as an environmental variable.
UNCOVER_DIRS =
# This setting sets a list of directories under which temporary files
# are created. We always destroy files under any of these directories.
# This must be a semi-colon separated list of directories. Leave this
# setting empty (i.e., enter a newline after the equal sign) if you
# don't need/want this exception:
TEMPORARY_DIRS = /tmp;/var
# This setting defines a list of directories inside each user's home
# directory under which temporary files are created. We always destroy
# files under any of these directories. This must be a semi-colon
# separated list of directory names *relative to the users' home dirs*,
# and with no leading or trailing slashes. Leave this setting empty
# (i.e., enter a newline after the equal sign) if you don't need/want
# this exception.
# Example: setting
# USER_TEMPORARY_DIRS = temp
# will lead to the permanent destruction of deleted files beneath
# /root/temp, /home/user1/temp, /home/user2/temp, etc..., which might
# be useful if some program creates temporary files in /{$HOME}/temp
# whenever it is run.
USER_TEMPORARY_DIRS =
# This setting sets a list of directories under which files are really
# destroyed, exactly like what happens in the directories listed in
# TEMPORARY_DIRS. The only difference is that this variable is meant to
# be used to prevent files on removable media (e.g., floppies, CD-RW,
# etc) from having a copy of themselves "saved" in your trash can if
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION is set. It is enabled by default, since I suppose
# that for most people saving back-up copies of files destroyed on a
# removable medium doesn't make a lot of sense. For that reason, and to
# prevent those unnecessary copies from being made, fill in a semi-colon
# separated list of directories which are used as mount points for
# removable media in your system. If you wish to have that extra level
# of protection enabled, just leave this variable unset (i.e., enter a
# newline after the equal sign) - and don't forget to enable
# GLOBAL_PROTECTION, of course):
# NOTE: This variable is ignored if global_protection is disabled.
REMOVABLE_MEDIA_MOUNT_POINTS = /media
# This setting is meant to allow certain programs to function correctly
# while libtrash is enabled. More specifically, it can be used to create
# a list of "exceptions": files which would normally be considered
# unremovable lose their protection if listed here. This is important
# because some programs might need to delete files in UNREMOVABLE_DIRS;
# e.g., the commands mount/umount need to create/delete a lock file in
# /etc, while it is usually a good idea to mark /etc as unremovable. You
# can also use this variable to make libtrash work from /etc/ld.so.preload
# without interfering with your boot/shutdown procedure.
# Notes:
# 1) Use a semi-colon separated list, no white-space between items.
# 2) Not only files with a path listed in EXCEPTIONS lose their
# protection; any file with a path *starting* with one of the paths
# listed here loses its protection (eg, both /usr/abcd and /usr/abc/d
# will lose their protection if /use/abc is listed here). This is a
# feature -- not a bug -- so that mount can delete any file with a name
# starting with /etc/mtab.
EXCEPTIONS = /etc/mtab;/etc/resolv.conf;/etc/adjtime;/etc/upsstatus;/etc/dhcpc
# Files which match this regular expression will be ignored.
# WARNING:
# In the configuration file used at compile time all backslashes MUST be
# double, but in the personal configuration files they MUST NOT be double.
# (This is due to the fact that the C compiler interprets the backslash as
# an escape character.)

# your home directory resides, the file will be _copied_ byte-after-byte
# to your trash can. If the file is very large (e.g., ISO images), that
# operation will take some time.
GLOBAL_PROTECTION = YES
TRASH_SYSTEM_ROOT = SYSTEM_ROOT
TEMPORARY_DIRS = /tmp;/var
REMOVABLE_MEDIA_MOUNT_POINTS = /media
# This setting is meant to allow certain programs to function correctly
# while libtrash is enabled. More specifically, it can be used to create
# a list of "exceptions": files which would normally be considered
# unremovable lose their protection if listed here. This is important
# because some programs might need to delete files in UNREMOVABLE_DIRS;
EXCEPTIONS = /etc/mtab;/etc/resolv.conf;/etc/adjtime;/etc/upsstatus;/etc/dhcpc
IGNORE_RE =
# End of configuration.

Undo is not working properly (grayed out)
Undo is not working properly in Indesign CC 9.2. I am using a 17" MBP running OSX 10.9.1.
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I ran into this issue doing a publication layout. I was not doing anything overly complicated. Copying/pasting, placing images, adding text boxes, copying/pasting text boxes. It seems to happen without rhyme or reason.
I know that is not helpful for troubleshooting so I was able to isolate the problem. Here is how to recreate it.
Open new doc (standard letter)
Create text box with random text
copy the text box (cmd C)
paste the text box (cmd V)
move the resulting text box using selection tool (V)
select NEW text box (selection tool)
copy the NEW text box (cmd C)
paste the NEW text box (cmd V)
move the text box (selection tool).
Repeat until there are 5 text boxes (at least).
Undo the various actions after placing and moving the 5 text boxes.
I cannot undo back to a "new document."
In some cases I can only undo 2 actions before "undo" becomes grayed out, and in some cases, I can undo up to 9 or 10 actions before it gets grayed out.
Other programs running:
Illustrator
Photoshop
Text Edit
MS Word 2011
Excell 2011
Messages
Chrome
Finder
Fetch (FTP software)
I need to have these programs running simultaneously in many cases and have done so successfully in the past. I have a feeling it might be a memory issue, but I have not seen a similar post and I never had the issue with CS5 running with an identical setup. I was able to undo actions up until my previous save in CS5 sometimes 25-30 actions.I unplugged the USB items and the problem still persisted so it is not related to any of those.
I shut down InDesign and tried reopening. InDesign crashed at reopen. I have provided the log below. Hopefully this shows where the problem is occurring.

The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly
The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly. It has sound without the headphones in but when I plug them in it has no sound, it's low, or poppy. I had only used my apple supplied headphones once before and it worked fine. I know it's not the headphones because I tried them on my girlfriends phone and they worked fine.
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

When I update my iPhone 4S to iOS six Facebook does not work properly the newsfeed doesn't load properly and I can never see what's going on all I see is a picture of an antenna and a little thing underneath it says no new stories when I reset my phone back to iOS 5 then it works just fine and I don't have any issues so there must be something wrong with iOS six that isn't letting Facebook load properly
No I did not use any unauthorized methods for anything, I simply reset my phone back to factory.

Adobe Creative Cloud (Desktop) does not work properly. The application is blocked : it could not be launch neither stopped. I'm on MAC Yosemite OS, does anyone know how to remove it properly or to force its stop. It does not appear in the launched applications.
I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
I tried to uninstall the application but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.
Thanks for your help. -

Flash player does not work properly on Windows 7 32 bits
Hello,
My flash player does not work properly on Windows 7 32 bits with Firfox and IE8 (lasts versions).
My Flash player version : 10.0.45.2, but I tried with version 9 too, with same problems.
I have tried to uninstall, reboot, reinstall several times, ... witch did not worked.
In fact, it works correctly on some sites, like youtube, but not on some others like :
http://www.dailymotion.com/ => black screen instead of videos, right click gives flash context menu
http://www.canalplus.fr/ => videos does not load, right click gives flash context menu
http://www.myspace.com/ => no audio player, right click gives flash context menu
some games in http://www.kongregate.com/ => black screen instead of games, right click gives flash context menu
I have no problem with shockwave in http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
No problem too with flash player on http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
But in the Global Privacy Settings panel (http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l), I cannot change any settings :
I cannot check boxes,
My changes are not saved.
In most of flash animations, videos, ...,
when I click on parameters, I cannot do anything, even closing.
when I am in full screen mode, the message "press escape to exit...." does not disappear.
Last thing, all those problems was not there when I was on Windows XP, few weeks ago, and appear with my registered Windows 7 premium familly edition, with the same hardware configuration...
Thank you for your helpHi eidnolb
Thanks for your answer.
This is what I have :
Verify user permissions
I have an administrator account.
I tried (uninstall, install and run) with super-administrator account for same results
Install the most current version.
I am running the latest version (10.0.45.2)
Run the Clean Installer to Fix 3rd Party Flash Player Cleaners
I did not "clean" my computer.
Troubleshoot Pop-up blockers
I have no Pop-up or esle blocker software.
Ensure that Internet utilities do not block Flash Player
I tried (uninstall, install and run) without Avast.
I have windows 7 firewall. I do not know where I can allow ActiveX controls and Flash (SWF) content. I do not see anything relative to ActiveX an Flash in allowed program list.
Fix machine crashes when displaying Flash content
I have no freez or crash.
Using IE, Shockwave Flash Object is Enabled and vs 10.0.45.2
Using FF, I have SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and it is Enabled
I really do not understand !!
Thanks,

Remote not working properly with Apple TV...sporadic fuctioning
Hello,
I have no idea what caused this to happen, but both my remotes (I have one from my MacBook Pro and one from my AppleTV) seem to not work properly with AppleTV. It sometimes works but it is extremely frustrating as it only registers about 1 out of every 10-20 clicks then continues to remember the previous clicks therefore making it essentially impossible to select the desired menu/item. Basically it just seems like it's out of control!
I tested whether it was the remote or AppleTV that was causing the problem by running Front Row on my MacBook Pro and both remotes seem to navigate Front Row perfectly fine. They both act the same way with AppleTV, whether they are paired or not. It seems as though something happened with my AppleTV. This problem occurred randomly, with no specific cause I can think of.
Please let me know if any of you have ever experienced this problem and what your solution was, if any!
I have tried restoring to factory conditions, resetting settings, ran diagnostics, unplugged and replugged it, and nothing seems to be working!
Oh, and I just replaced the battery on one and have tried swapping batteries, etc.
HELP PLEASE!
Thank you,
TravisThe menus have never been as responsive as they used to since the 2.0 update in my opinion - basically AppleTV seems to cache/buffer remote click if it is busy or perhaps waiting for something to stream from itunes, and when resources become available it suddenly executes all command rapidly which makes it behave wildly in menus.
Usually happens I find after restarting the unit or if streaming drives have gone in to power saving modes and there's a delay while they wake up to feed the AppleTV. -
HP computer will not work properly with an HP printer
I have the following two items that I am trying to use together:
- HP 23" TouchSmart Desktop, T6500 2.1GHz 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD (Windows 7)
- HP OfficeJet 6500 Multi-Function Printer/Scanner/Fax
When I try to scan to Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.0, the document goes through the scanner, however the dialog box that I would expect (e.g. "Next Page" or "Done") never shows up. At this point, the system is unresponsive with respect to Adobe or the printer.
I suspect that it is waiting for the input from the dialog box that never showed up. I tried to move the other windows to see if the dialog opened in the background, however I am not able to select any of them (they remain frozen).
I contacted HP Support, only to have them tell me it must be the driver, and I have an "old" printer. (I did not realize that a 9 month old printer was considered "old"). I have tried all of the possible drivers that are available (original disk, downloads, other downloads from HP tech support), none of these resolves the problem.
In any case, they were unable to resolve the problem of having an HP computer work properly with an HP printer. (The printing function seems to work, just very slowly).
Has anyone else heard of this? Is there a resolution?Update: I am still looking for a solution to this problem - the scanning portion of the Multi-function OfficeJet 6500 does not work properly with the HP TouchSmart computer.
I have not been able to find anyone in HP that can tell me when (or if) new drivers will be released for this printer.
I decided to investigate upgrading to a newer version of printer since HP told me the 9 month old printer I have was "obsolete", only to find that the identical printer is still on sale in many stores. Hmmm....
I feel like I am getting the run-around from HP.
I have since tried several more driver/software combinations, but every time I have the same problem (as described in the previous post).
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would be most happy to hear them.
Thank you. -

I just had a conversation with Linksys' Customer Service via chat: Daphne L. J: Hello Fernando Paramo. My name is Daphne L..
Daphne L. J: Welcome to Linksys Global Chat. Is this your initial contact or do you have a case number?
You: Case number is 04971062
Daphne L. J: Please give me 3-5 minutes to pull up and review your case.
You: OK
Daphne L. J: Thank you.
You: I have a WRT1900 AC, V1. The router is not working properly. I have disconnections every few minutes.I already installed the new firmware version and I still have the same issues. I already reset the router to factory defaults and same issues. I have changed the settings back to my personal preferences: Changed the SSID, changed the wireless security settings, changed the DNS and deactivate WPS. That's it.I'm using 5 Ghz mode with my laptops (5 Ghz adapters) and 2-4 Ghz with a few devices (Chromecast, Nintendo 3DS).
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
Daphne L. J: Please confirm if the following information is correct:
Name : Fernando Paramo
Phone Number :
E-Mail Address :
Model Number : WRT1900AC
Serial Number : 13J10609406280
Country : United States
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Okay. Were you able to check if the devices have stable connection wired to the router?
You: No. I do not have devices with Ethernet ports. Well, only the cable modem.
You: But the modem is fine. No disconnections from my ISP.
You: It is the router.
Daphne L. J: Alright. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: I tried to return the router to Wal-Mart yesterday with no luck. This is a useless device. And I have been reading comments on the community forums and a lot of people are having problems.
Daphne L. J: We are actually aware of the issue and are working on a resolution. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: Ver. 1.1.10.167514
You: Latest one.
Daphne L. J: Yes, so you reflashed the firmware, reset and then manually reconfigure it after, not using backup configuration, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: And it is intermittent on all devices connected to both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Please give ,e 3-5 minutes to verify this with my superior.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
You: I want to send you my WRT1900 AC and get a V2 or I want a EA8500 and pay the difference myseld.
You: I do not want my current hardware.
You: It is useless for my needs.
You: I can't believe I had an older E3000 that didn't give me any problems.
Daphne L. J: We have already exhausted all possible troubleshooting steps for your concern. As verified with my Supervisor, we will forward your case to our Customer Assurance Team. They are highly technical and knowledgeable when it comes to advanced troubleshooting. They will contact you in the next 24 to 48 hours. By the way, who is your Internet Service Provider? And do you Cable or DSL connection?
You: Cable connection.
Daphne L. J: Who is your Internet Service Provider?
You: A company called .
You: How are they going to contact me?
Daphne L. J: Alright. By the way, on the device itself, on its FCC ID, please check if you have WRT1900AC or WRT1900AC v2.
You: Are you paying attention to me?
You: I already told you it's V1.
Daphne L. J: They will call or email you. Please double check if these informations are correct:
Name :
Phone Number :
E-Mail Address :
You: I told you I want to send you my WRT1900 AC and get a V2 or I want a EA8500 and pay the difference myself.
You: I want them to contact me to my email. I can't answer the phone during work hours.
Daphne L. J: We can't assure you if we will be able to replace it with Version 2 or if you are allowed to have the EA8500 instead.
Daphne L. J: Just in case, do you also have an alternate number?
Daphne L. J: Also, what time zone are you in? And what is your preferred time and day for them to contact you?
You: I have the one from my office in Mexico. Central Time. Any time is good.
Daphne L. J: So, you are currently in Mexico?
You: I work in Mexico but I have the house in USA. I live in the border.
Daphne L. J: I see. Do you have any other questions or clarifications?
You: I live 10 minutes away from the International Bridge. But that's not an issue. I bought the router at Walmart in Laredo, TX.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Would that be all for now?
You: I want a clarification: Do you realize that there is an issue with the current WRT1900 AC? Are you aware of that?
You: Because this is a very expensive router that is not working as it should be.
Daphne L. J: Yes, we are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
Daphne L. J: Would there be anything else you need?
You: That would be it. I will wait for you to contact me.
You: Thanks.
Daphne L. J: Alright. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve you through Linksys Live Chat. You may also visit our support site at www.linksys.com. For your reference, your case number is 04980394. Thank you for choosing Linksys and have a great day! We paid $250 for this piece of equipment. That's a lot of money for a device that doesn't work. I just want to get a V2 replacement, or better yet, an exchange for a EA8500. We should all demand this. It is not fair for us. The current WRT1900 AC is a useless device. They even should do a recall of the product. I will wait for them to contact me, but I'm thinking if I should send the information to The Consumerist or someone else. What to do?FernandoRocker wrote:
Well... instead of looking into this with Engineering, I would prefer you to talk about this with the Sales department and exchange my WRT1900AC for an EA8500 (I will pay the difference if needed). Seriously. The device is useless. Not just a paperweigt... an expensive paperweight.Actually I looking into the swap for you because I think that would be best in your case. Keep this in perspective. There is laterally millions of WRT1900AC V1 out there with very few issues with latest firmwares and of course the odd exception. In your case it could be a defective WRT1900AC.
