Looking for tree drawing API

Hello
I made a k-children tree algorithm in Java. Now I'm looking for a ready-made API/classes for drawing the tree.
Anyone knows any good tree drawing APIs?
I searched google for hours and couldn't find anything.

Looking for Unified Messaging API

Hello everyone,
In one of our projects, we are going to monitor a software system and send notifications to users. User can set their prefereences about which messages they like to receive into which outbound channels.
We would like the notifications to be sent through a "unified messaging system" which has a cnetral control to many channels, e.g., email, sms, screen, instant massager..., etc.
I wonder if there are some "unified messaging system" in java that could help us.

Like _beforeSave, is there a DW API hook akin to
_beforePreview (before
previewing in a browser the page currently open in the Design

btw, "_beforePreview" does not seem to work, but I am hoping

Looking for "animate draw on video" effect

I need to supply a client with an animated drawing effect on video.
Actually it's a still frame- so hopefully that makes it easier.
(He wants me to animate glasses and a moustache being drawn on a face)
The effect seems fairly common.
Is this something that is done in photoshop or after effects or
is there a key frame, plug in for FCP?

You could do this pretty easily in AE or Motion. This will describe how to do it in Motion:
1.) Bring the frame in question into a "drawing" program: Illustrator or Photoshop. Draw your elements on top of your frame.
2.) Import your background frame & the new drawing into Motion. Put them into their own individual groups.
3.) Make a new group and use the "Bezier Tool" to draw lines (that Motion will call "Shapes") that hide your drawings. The lines should have no Fill & their outlines should be large enough to completely hide your drawings. You should 1 "shape" for every "stroke" of the drawing that needs to get revealed. This group probably needs to be on the top of your stack to see that you're hiding the drawing.
4.) Apply the Behavior, Shape > Write On to each of your shapes. This is going to cause your strokes to grow into place. Play with timing to suit yourself.
5.) Select the Group with your drawing: 'stache & glasses and go to the menu: Object > Add Image Mask. Make the top group, your written-on strokes, the mask for this drawing layer.
Your drawing should now draw itself on. You may need to make your drawing with individual layers for the strokes to make the write-on process cleaner. I'll post some screen shots in a minute to better illustrate this all. It's actually much easier than all the verbiage may make it sound...

Can someone tell me the name of a drawing application, similar to Appleworks Drawing, that can be used on OS 10.10 Yosemite? I'd like to upgrade to Yosemite but it doesn't support Appleworks.

Looking for ADF detailed API and Components Docs

Hi Gurus! I am trying some hands on with the tutorial application (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/ADF_tutorial_1013/index.htm) with JDeveloper 10.1.33.
For developing new ADF application, I was trying to find ADF related documentation, but I was only able to find the documentation for ADF 11G (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/index.html). This page does not have any API doc, or component details.
Now my question is, if I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3, which version of ADF I am using? For that version, where do I get complete documentation - ADF API docs, ADF Ui components docs etc.
Suppose, in the tutorial application, classes like
oracle.binding.BindingContainer, oracle.jbo.uicli.binding.JUCtrlValueBindingRef etc. are used. Where do I find complete API reference doc.
Also where can I find ADF UI components(PanelPage, PanelBox etc.) detailed docs and their usages.
Also, please point me to any other useful ADF related documentation/tutorial, if you know.

Thanks Yoav - FYI - we've been working on putting together a full function demo version (with time expiry) of the explorer (and suite)- so, starting from early next week we should have a version that you can install in your own environment and have a play with without having to fork out the dollars!

Looking for a disk management tools in JAVA

I am currently looking for tools or APIs designed for disk management. I explain : I would like to defrag or format a microSD card with Java code.
Is it possible since the way to get access to the memory card depends on the underlying OS. I know that the really defrag or format action is OS-independent, but filesystem type dependent.

These are system level, platform dependent actions and not the sort of thing Java is made for. If you search hard enough (read Google) you may find these types of tools using JNI for specific platforms, but I wouldn't count on it.

Looking for the right collection for a specific problem

Just wanted to say great work you guys are doing here. the forum has definitely helped me a lot in the past.
I am currently having a problem selecting a collection for this specific application that i have to do for my final year project. I am looking for a way to store a bunch of strings a collection that uses the actual string as its key and stores the number of times that the string have been added to the collection as its value.
so for e.g
String a = "a";
String b = "b";
String a2 = "a";
String c = "c";
/**Here is where i create my collection */
// Collection mycollection = new collection
// mycollection.add(a);

Does such a collection exist? I remember using something similar when i was learning c++ but i havent been able to find what i am looking for in the API documentation. Please help.

I think what the OP is looking for is probably a Bag. Unfortunately the default collections framework does not provide a Bag interface or implementation. You could look into using the Jakarta Commons Collection, they do provide those (look at the API[url] as well.
