  • PI 7.1 Operation mapping - Multiple message mapping - one to many issue

    Dear Experts,
    I am facing this issue in PI 7.1 and I beleive i did similar one in PI 7.0 successfully.
    I have an operation mapping with two message mappings.
    The occurence of source message of operation mapping is 1
    The occurence of target message of operation mapping is 0..unbounded
    Corresponding i configured two message mappings
    For message mapping-1
    Source message occurence = 1  and Target message occurence = 1
    For message mapping-2
    Source message occurence = 1  and Target message occurence = 0...unbounded
    When i test message mappings individually they are working good. But when i test it in operation mapping, the operation mapping is not working..as it is not able to convert single occurence output of message mapping -1 to the second message mapping-2.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    The message that i get when testing in operation mapping:
    Runtime Exception when executing application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_MessageMapping_1_; Details: com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.IllegalInstanceException; Cannot create target element /ns0:MT_MessageMapping_1_TargetMessageType/RECORDSET. Values missing in queue context. Target XSD requires a value for this element, but the target-field mapping does not create one. Check whether the XML instance is valid for the source XSD, and whether the target-field mapping fulfils the requirement of the target XSD
    My question is, has somebody mapped similar scenario in your environment? If yes, can you please provide details.
    Operation mapping :  1 to 0..unbounded
    Message Mapping1: 1 to 1
    Message Mapping2: 1 to 0...unbounded

    For EntityOne and EntityTwo you can just define a normal OneToMany mapping using the foreign key.
    Are you using JPA, or the TopLink API? JPA requires a mappedBy for the OneToMany, so this may be more difficult. You should be able to just add a JoinColumn on the OneToMany and make the column insertable/updateable=false.
    For the attachment, you could either map the foreign key as a Basic (DirectToFieldMapping) and maintain it in your model, or use a VariableOneToOne mapping in TopLink (this will require the entities share a common interface).

  • PI Message Mapping One Source to create two of the same Target Nodes.

    Hi,
    I have a source node that contacts the following.
    "1234-5678".
    When there is a "-" in the source node then I need to create two target nodes.
    When there is no "-" in the source node then only create one node.
    Since the source structure is a flat structure by on the target side as you can see I am trying to achieve a diep structure.
    Please can you assist in how to do this with PI message mapping.
    Regards
    Willie Hugo

    Hi,
    "1234-5678" only occurs once in the source. There is no source xml node that will occur more that once. The whole structure only occurs once. But on the target side I need one of the node to occur more than once if a hyphen is found in the source field.
    Source Message                      - Always only one data node.
    ==============
    <root>
    <OnceOnlyNode>1234-5678</OnceOnlyNode>                   [1..1]
    </root>
    Target Message                      - Only two text node when "-" in source, else only one text node.
    =============
    <msg>
    <text>1234</text>
    <text>6789</text>
    </msg>
    How can this be done using standard PI message mapping functions. Can it be done?

  • Message mapping: Passing data at the node level

    Hi,
    I have a question/requirement, XI Message Mapping program need to read the incoming xml and map to a diffrerent target structure. Incoming xml has a parent node called Description and it has a value "Frauen Hemd Shoes", we need to map this value to target LongText Field but message mapping is ignoring this data while mapping.
    A parent node can't hold the value/data while a child node is present. So is there any workaround to read this data to target str?
    <Description>
    <ShortName>Shoes</ShortName>
    Frauen Hemd Shoes
    </Description>
    Expected result:
    <Comments>
    <ShortText>Shoes</ShortText>
    <LongText>Frauen Hemd Shoes</LongText>
    </Comments>
    Please let me any clues to resolve the issue.
    thanks,
    Laxman

    I agree , the soruce structure is not a valid one..
    The source structure should look like the below:
    <Description ShortName='Shoes'>
    Frauen Hemd Shoes
    </Description>
    where ShortName is attribute for the Element "Description".
    You add attribute to the element the same way you add subElement, Just choose attribute instead of subelement.
    In this case the Mapping would be
    Descriprion -
    > LongText (target)
    ShortName -

  • "Use one as many "function

    Hi All
    I have a scenario from RFC to WSDL in which if certain conditions fulfil only then can I pass the value to the target field "SERVCODE".
    The problem is there are many conditions which are to be fulfilled to have the value passed.
    I tried using the function "use One As Many" but I got stuck at the "OR" condtion because its taking only boolean values.
    Please have a look at the scenario and help me!!
    Also I am preferring to have a graphical mapping but if nothing works out User defined function would do.

  • Copy of Message Mapping between SW-Components: Function Module undefined

    Hi Gurus,
    we want to copy a Message Mapping from one Software Component to an other. We right click on it and say "copy to" and choose the Target Softwarecomponent and Namespace. When we say ok.. we got an error "Function Module Undefined (FUNCMODL_UNDEF)"
    Has anybody an idea what can be wrong?
    Big Thanks in Advance

    Hi Everybody. Thanks for your fast replies.
    I have played a bit with the PI System and ihave the following Situation
    SW-T (Target SWC)
    SW-A (Source A)
    SW-B  (Source B)
    SW-A Copy to SW-T without Dependencies --> Error Function Model Undefined
    SW-A Copy to SW-T with Dependecies --> It works correct
    SW-B Copy to SW-T without Dependencies --> It works correct.
    The Strange Thing is, if i Copy SW-A to SW-T without Dependencies i get the Error but a Message Mapping with the Correct Name is created, but it is empty. IT has no content. For me this looks like an Program Error?!??!

  • Need help mapping one-to-many relationship

    [Sorry, inadvertently cross-posted]
    Hello,
    I have a one-to-many mapping question that's probably a no-brainer for the
    experts of the group out there. My problem is that I can't get a collection
    of Items for a given Theme to be populated and I don't know if it's a
    problem in my system.jdo or in my classes (or both). For example, for Theme
    10,
    I want a collection of two Items, item_ids 1 and 2.
    I have db tables named ITEM and THEME with the following layouts:
    ITEM
    |==========================================================|
    | item_id(pk) | item_name | item_number | theme_id(fk) |
    |==========================================================|
    | 1 | This is Item1 | 1234 | 10 |
    | 2 | This is Item2 | 2954 | 10 |
    | 3 | This is Item3 | 2094 | 17 |
    | 4 | This is Item4 | 946 | 11 |
    | ... |
    |==========================================================|
    THEME
    |=======================================|
    | theme_id(pk) | theme_description |
    |=======================================|
    | 4 | Space |
    | 10 | Town |
    | 11 | Train |
    | 17 | Pirate |
    | ... |
    |=======================================|
    I have two PersistenceCapable classes that map to the above tables:
    package com.lego.data;
    public class Item
    public int item_id;
    private String item_number;
    private String item_name;
    private int theme_id;
    public Theme theme;
    public String toString()
    return
    item_number+":"+item_name+":"+theme.getCode()+":"+theme.getDescription();
    package com.lego.data;
    import java.util.*;
    public class Theme
    public int theme_id;
    public String theme_description;
    public Collection items;
    public String toString()
    return theme_id+":"+theme_description;
    and here is my system.jdo file:
    <?xml version = "1.0" encoding = "US-ASCII"?>
    <jdo>
    <package name="com.lego.data">
    <class name="Item" identity-type="application"
    objectid-class="com.lego.data.IntOId">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="table" value="item"/>
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="lock-column" value="none"/>
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="class-column" value="none"/>
    <field name="item_id" primary-key="true">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column" value="item_id"/>
    </field>
    <field name="item_number">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column" value="item_number"/>
    </field>
    <field name="item_name">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column" value="item_name"/>
    </field>
    <field name="theme_id">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column" value="theme_id"/>
    </field>
    <field name="theme">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="theme_id-data-column"
    value="theme_id"/>
    </field>
    </class>
    <class name="Theme" identity-type="application"
    objectid-class="com.lego.data.ThemeKey">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="table" value="theme"/>
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="lock-column" value="none"/>
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="class-column" value="none"/>
    <field name="theme_id" primary-key="true">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column" value="theme_id"/>
    </field>
    <field name="theme_description">
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column"
    value="theme_description"/>
    </field>
    <field name="items">
    <collection element-type="Item"/>
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="inverse" value="theme"/>
    </field>
    </class>
    </package>
    </jdo>
    Thanks in advance for the help.

    The first thing to check is that you are always setting the "theme" field in
    your Items. If you add an Item i to the "themes" collection of a Theme t, but
    forget to also set i's "theme" field to t, then the change will never get
    written to the database.
    Next, make sure that whenever you set the "theme" field of an Item, you also
    set
    its "theme_id" field. You map both of these fields to the same column, so you
    better be sure they stay in synch.
    On a related note, you might try making the "theme_id" field non-persistent if
    things still aren't working for you. Mapping two fields to the same column
    might be causing trouble. It would be safer to make theme_id non-persistent
    anyway, and to always grab the id from the Theme stored in your "theme"
    field.
    Better OO programming and all that, though I can see that you might have
    performance issues in mind when doing it your way.
    Anyway, if you find that it works when you make theme_id nonpersistent, let us
    know and we'll see why the double-mapping of the column is causing problems,
    and hopefully find a fix.Abe,
    Thanks for the response but I'm still confused. I failed to mention that
    the Item and Theme tables are in an existing schema, so as you saw in my
    system.jdo, I am specifying application identity.
    Since this is an existing schema, the Item table has theme_id as the
    foreign key to the Theme table. So are saying that it is a problem to map
    the both theme_id as a data column and a Theme object in the Item at the
    same time?
    I guess what I don't understand is exactly what my system.jdo should look
    like to map a one-to-many relationship. In my case, from Theme (1) to Item
    (many). (See my system.jdo in previous post).
    Thanks

  • Message Mapping Nested Structure to key node in JDBC XML SQL Structure

    Hello everybody,
    I'm facing the next problem, I have the following nested structure
    <ns0:MT_Irdoc_ArchivoNested xmlns:ns0="http://ref.pemex.com/PI/FI/ArchivoIrdoc">
       <Header id_consecutivo="">
          <Transaction/>
          <Header2/>
          <Header3/>
          <Header4/>
          <Header5/>
          <Detail>
             <Transaction/>
             <Detail2/>
             <Detail3/>
             <Detail4/>
             <Detail5/>
          </Detail>
       </Header>
       <NombreArchivo/>
    </ns0:MT_Irdoc_ArchivoNested>
    as you can see, Detail is a nested Node from Header Node, and Detail is with occurrence 0...unbounded, I need to generate a SELECT XML SQL Structure as follows
       <StatementName>
              <dbTableName action=u201DSELECTu201D>
                  <table>realDbTableName</table>
                  <access>
                     <col1/>
                     <col2/>
                     <col3/>
                  </access>
                  <key1>
                     <col4>val4</col4>
                     <col5>val5</col5>
                     <col6>val6</col6>
                  </key1>
              </dbTableName>
       </StatementName>
    now my problem is that col4 and col6 are values mapped from Header fields values, and col5 mus be mapped from Detail2 field of Detail Nested Structure, and Detail is 0...unbounded so it can contain any number of values and must included in the key structure, I tried by mapping the Detail Node to the key1 node, so it will generate n numbers of key1 nodes to include in the query, and the Detail number of nodes are not constant so I can't generate key2, key3, keyn...., so what I need is to create n numbers of instances of key1 node, but the problem is that when the mapping try to generate the second instance of key1 node it gives an error in the fields that comes from Header structure, maybe I'm trying to solve my problem wrong, could anyone give some advices or direction?, thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Julio Cesar

    Julio,
    After placing the below logic in the mapping editor
    Details2 > SplitByValue> col5
    Right click on the Details2 node and choose Context. By Default you will see Details, because Details2 is the child of Details node. I want you to choose the Parent of Details node, I believe that would be HeaderID, am I right?
    If you don't want to do that then,
    Details2 ---> Remove Context > SplitByvalue> col5 will do the trick!
    raj.

  • Mapping one to many

    I spoke about this in another thread. however, it was not the main topic of the thread so I thought I should start a thread dedicated to this issue.
    As you can see I have a loop connecting three fields on the left side of my map to the AMT parent on the right. I need an AMT segment on the right for each of the fields on the left. Note that the line on the left only appears once. The left side does not loop.
    See my pic below:
    If I remove the loop they get stacked like this:
    <AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    AMT01
    AMT01
    AMT01
    AMT02
    AMT02
    AMT02
    AMT03
    AMT03
    AMT03
    </AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    It should look like this:
    <AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation> ---- for CDISCOUNT
    AMT01
    AMT02
    </AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    <AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation> ---- for CELIGIBLE
    AMT01
    AMT02
    </AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    <AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation> ---- for CALLOWED
    AMT01
    AMT02
    </AMT_ClaimSupplementalInformation>
    I can't set the loop at the TOTAL level on the left side because the TOTAL line only occurs once. There has to be an easy remedy to this, but it certainly is eluding me. I've even tried the table looping and table extractor functoids. That only made things
    worse :)
    Hope you guys have some input as this has me completely stumped.
    Thanks.

    I validated the map and loaded the XSLT up in visual studio. I'll have to say, I'm not sure why I haven't done this more often in the past as it is very helpful. While running it in debug mode I get to the section that creates the AMT segment and I notice
    that it runs the entire section once for each claim in the file. So if the are three claims in the file, it run the section three times for each claim. Obviously, I only want it to run the section once per claim. I have a question regarding the XSLT. I do
    not have a loop attached to the TOTALS line, yet there is a <xsl:for-each select="../Totals"> line at the top of the section. Is this normal even when there is no loop attached in the mapper? I tried removing the for-each around the section
    but that created a bunch of empty sections.
    Thanks.
    [EDIT] Just realized I had a loop attached to the three individual fields, not the parent(TOTALS). I remember now that I tried this because without the loop the child nodes for all three sections got stacked under a single parent node. Interesting how it shows
    up in the XSLT.

  • PI message mapping 1 to many

    Hello,
    Is there a way to easily perform the following mapping in ESR (graphical tool)?
    Source:
    <ShipFrom>CUST01</ShipFrom>
    <ShipTo>CUST02</ShipTo>
    Destination:
    <Party>
         <RoleCode>Z1</RoleCode>
         <InternalID>CUST01</InternalID>
    </Party>
    <Party>
         <RoleCode>Z2</RoleCode>
         <InternalID>CUST02</InternalID>
    </Party>
    Party has occurence 0..unbounded.
    RoleCode Z1 and Z2 are constants.
    Thank you in advance for your help,
    Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume
    If RoleCode Z1 and Z2 are constants, you can just duplicate subtree for target Party segment and map directly 1 to 1.
    Party = blank constant
    RoleCode = Z1
    InternalID = ShipFrom
    Duplicate another subtree for Party
    Party = blank constant
    RoleCode = Z2
    InternalID = ShipTo

    i just want to confrom one thing.
    i just created a file to rfc scenario and when i was tested and look in sxmb_moni its showing like the message was sucess but when i ltested in message mapping in design there were some nodes in sender Message type which were displayed in red colour.
    and when i look in runtime workbench the message is showing like system error.
    so can you guys tell me what could be the reason for this.

    hi rinku .
    i think you havent understand my problem.
    here the message in moni was showing as succes but when i tested the same message which was in moni in message mapping (design) there were some nodes which were in red colour and these nodes are not populated to reciever message type  .but it was in sxmb_moni with all the nodes .
    what could be the reason for this.
    can u tell me fast and i case if u still havent understand the Q u can ask me.

  • Message mapping - createIf issue

    Hello everybody,
    I have a problem with some message mapping.
    A entire node (E1EDL24) should only be transferred if a field (MATKL from node E1EDL26) is unequal to a certain value ('KAL'). So I created following message mapping with the createIf function:
    Testing the mapping results in a not quite correct behavior. Only the first node is transferred and the following nodes are not (all fields MATKL within the nodes E1EDL26 are unequal 'KAL'). For example, there are two nodes, the first one has the MATKL value 'PON' and the second one has the MATKL value 'HAU'. The first node is transferred, but the second node is not.
    Has anyone an idea why the second node will not be transferred? Did I miss some mapping function for processing all nodes?
    Best Regards,
    Matthäus

    Hi,
    Can you please provide more details? what do you mean by second node is not transforming.
    regards,
    Harish

  • Message mapping execution?

    Hi friends,
          The message processing(pipeline steps) happens in the abap stack,then how request message mapping(one of the pipeline step)happens in abap stack,as message mapping should execute in java stack,
    Thanks,
    Suresh.

    Message mapping depends on the mapping technology:
    i. Message, Java & XSLT (under Imported Archives) mappings are executed at Java stack;
    ii. ABAP & XSLT (in ABAP stack) mappings are executed at ABAP stack.
    The Integration Engine that processes the message pipeline (which runs in ABAP stack) will either execute a JCo call (using RFC Dest AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER) to the Java Stack to execute the mapping or, in the 2nd case, execute the mapping ABAP function directly.
    The pipeline steps can be seen in the transaction SXMB_ADM ->Display Pipeline Definition
