Settings>General>Restrictions...are yours on? Allow Changes>Accounts>On/Off?

Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

choose appstore and forcequit.
Start Appstore again, login, and choose the Update page. -

whenever someone sends me a file the Ipad labels it winmail.dat and wont allow me to open it...these are Word, Exce or jpgs. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Also, how can you save attachments to a file on the IPad2
Is this a particular sender, or all of your attchments? Google winmail.dat and you will see a number of returns that can explain this, but in short, this is the way some e mail providers deal with attachments. If all of your e mail is coming that way, you need to change a setting on your isp set up. Perhaps stary here...

The Email Accounts Settings has been grayed out. I cannot make any changes to my current email accounts, add new, or delete old email accounts. How can I ungray it?In my case, no restrictions are enabled. Accounts still grayed out. I was forced to change my appleid password and now everything is dorked up. I have gone everywhere I know to put in the new password. It works on the phone and on my computers, but not on the iPad.

I don't know why the battery life has just become so poor. I can listen to 1 song and lose 1/2% battery life. I had all the settings the same as before updating to ISO6 and now it just goes. I did drop it around the same time but I have a stong case so I don't see how this should effect it. If anyone knows how to fix it would be a great help because I used to love iPod but I am very dissapointed.

hello, i have an iphone 4S and just intstalled the Facebook application, along with the SoldierKnowsBest app. However the notifications i recieve from facebook arent appearing in my notification centre, and i have to find out if i have a notification by going onto the app and looking if i do, i am unaware that i have any notifications and its really annoying. can anyone help me, by the way, i have push notifications turned ON!
If this were happening to me I would try resetting the System Management Controller. Next step would be to take it to an authorized service place.

My sister-in-law wanted the new Operating System for the IPhone 4, and i plugged her phone into MY macbook in order to do this. Before I updated the operating system, I synced her phone (at least I thought) to my computer. It went through the whole process, transferred her purchases and everything. But once I updated the operating system, it gave me the error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)." right at the end. Then her photos, videos, and contacts were all gone. Could these possibly still be on my computer somehow and I just can't see them? I don't want her to lose all of her stuff. Thanks.
Normally you would be able to do a Restore from Backup in iTunes, but since no backups are saved in YOUR iTunes, you're out of luck.

My Apple ID has been disabled. I have set a new password, but it still is saying disabled. About six months ago my itunes was hacked. Itunes replaced the money, but now I am cannot get in. Is there anyone who might be able to help me out? Thanks

If you did everything it says then you contacted them.

I use Firefox for browsing and Outlook for email. On certain emails, I am unable to be more specific, I get a pop-up window "Download File" and I am asked if I want to Open, Save or Cancel the downloaded file. It identifies the file as:
Firefox Document
File Download
[642BF550-4DC4-91C9-66754188899D}.html or it could be
[642BF550-4DC4-9IC9-66754I88899D}.html.
I have opened the file and it merely contains the word "Loading..." on the screen.
I have no idea what it is. I do not know if I am supposed to ignore it, save it, etc. I do not know if it can corrupt my system.
Please help me if you can.Have you tried "Run" instead of "Save?"
Do you have anti-virus software on the PC? If you do, try disabling the anti-virus for just 15minutes to allow the download to finish.

Updates are supposed to improve the device! Can you check your messages to make sure that there are not any messages appearing in bold black? Place the device in the safe mode to see if the messages will clear http://vz.to/1hzeXFt .

On my ipad and iphone email when I reply to all it goes to main screen. It lets me reply to all from a PC. Does anyone know why?
I actually figured this out. One of the people I work with has an Android phone. My ipad and iphone will not let me respond to his email when sent from his phone. Don't know why but that is what is going on. I am going to experiment and see if I can find anyone else with an android that I can't respond to.

When I select a local phone number from my contacts, the iphone 4 won't ring the number, instead it tries to send an email. Does anyone know if this can be fixed with a setting change?
Thanks for the reply, good try, I thought of that myself and made sure of that this morning, but that is already all done, and as it happens, the contacts are exactly the same as in our other phone (3GS) which works perfectly, but the iphone 4 won't dial ANY local number, instead it tries to send an email. EVERY TIME. most frustrating. I am really trying to work out if there is a setting somewhere (like the area code etc) or if this is a warranty issue.

Does anyone know why these particular files would load incorrectly through iphone mail?
I have been having trouble with some images being sent out correctly to my sales people/customers. There are no problems EXCEPT when the files pass through an iphones mail. Sent or recieved the files get small file corruptions or something that results in an image distortion. I send tons of other images that have had no issue. Does anyone know why these particular ones are different? I'm worried I might be using the wrong settings in my save for web to get everything to be read by others accurately.
This problem doesn't seem to be limited by just the one email either. Every time we email these images through iphone it does this. On two different phones and two different accounts. Try for yourself and I'm sure it will do exactly the same thing unless uploading them to this page has changed them in some way.
I used illustrator cs6 to make the blue shirt image. The other three were files sent from a customer.

Thanks for any help!This may depend on your chosen encoding options for the Mails (MIME vs. Base64 or similar) and/or the mails being reduced in size and sliced up server side. Apple (and Google) do stuff like recompressing images when viewing mails on mobile devices from an Apple ID or Gmail account... You have to turn it off in their web frontends....
