This doesn't sound like a Photoshop issue, but an email problem. However, if you give us a more detailed explanation of what you're experiencing, we might be able to help if it is in fact a Photoshop issue.

It is possible to do this without external tools, but it is a tremendous faff. See

The easiest way, however, is to use Mail Exporter Pro https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mail-exporter-pro/id675131616?mt=12 which will convert the email for you from one format to the other, and comes with an excellent manual.
A third possibility is to connect Apple Mail to an email account via IMAP (this doesn’t have to be your usual account, you can just create a Gmail account for the purpose) . Copy all the messages into it and they will be uploaded. Then connect Outlook 2011 to the same account, via IMAP again, and let the messages download, then copy them to wherever you want to keep them and disconnect from that account. This is slow but preserves the attributes of your email (e.g. read/unead) better than any other method.

Need help with batch processing picture packages

Hi, I am having trouble batch processing picture packages is CS2. (Windows).
I have hundreds of images that need to be processed into picture packages and would love to find a speedier way to do this.
I know how to create an action. I know how to batch process from this action. I also know how to create picture packages, but I cannot get the final result I am after - please read on....
I have seperated all the images into their seperate folders for each style of picture package required.
I can create an action for the picture package required and then do a batch process on the particular folder, but this leaves all the picture packages open on the desktop - as when you chose the close and save in the batch process - this only closes and saves the original image - the picture package has been created as a new document and is on the desktop still open - named Picture Package 1, Picture Package 2 - etc etc.
I hope I am making some kind of sense here... (??!!)
What I would like to happen is that the picture package will be saved over the original file (or to a new folder) with the original file name of the original image or maybe even with an adjustment to file name (e.g - orignal file name sc1234.jpeg - new file name sc1234packA.jpeg)
So is this possible to do?? I'm thinking there must be a way.... i'm sure there are many group photographers out there who come across this everyday??
Otherwise I have to save each picture package manually to original file name (via searching though files to match the original image to the picture package....) Very time consuming.

hmm - thanks for that - sounds like I will have to try and find some info and assistance regarding the scripting - it may be something I need to look into at a later time in the future....

Need Help Migrating Tiger Mail to Leopard

Hi,
I just did a clean install of Leopard on my Powerbook and it's running fine. I made a copy of my library/mail and the com.apple.mail.plist file from my Tiger Mail and burnt it to a DVD.
Once i installed leopard I tried to import and it said it could find any mailboxes even when i pointed it in the right direction. Does anyone know how to do this properly? I need to get my mail app looking like it was on TIger pretty soon for work etc.

Okay
This is what I ended up doing in the end. My mail is a Yahoo Small Business POP account. So...after many different failing methods...
I added the account in Preferences, it then imported all 2000+ mail messages back from the server once this was done, I Imported the SENT mailbox from my clone of Tiger, the program then creates the following mailbox: On My Mac>IMPORT>Sent Messages, i dragged all the messages from this into my SENT box at the top of the list and deleted the IMPORT one.
I then had to re-create all my smart mailboxes from scratch. So, this is not really a proper full-on solution but it's the only way for me to get my SENT messages back which is the most important I guess when using a POP account from your desktop.

From the Home screen, select Messages then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.
Select any e-mail message or the current date then press in on the trackwheel / Menu button.
Select Options then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.
Select General Options then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.
Select Hide Filed Messages: (Yes / No) field then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.
If prompted, select Change Option then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.
Select the desired option then press in on the trackwheel / trackball.

Need help with PHP mail script [was: Can someone please help me?]

I'm trying to collect data from a form and email it. I'm using form2mail.php and the problem is that the email is not collecting the form info and it has the same email address in the From: and To: lines. I'm really stuck and would appreciate any help.

Using PHP to process an online form and send the input by email is very simple. The mail() function takes a minimum of three arguments, namely: the address the mail is being sent to, the subject line, and the body of the email as a single string. The reason some people use scripts like form2mail.php is because they don't have the knowledge or patience to validate the user input to make sure it's safe to send.
Rather than attempt to trawl through your complex form looking for the problems, I would suggest starting with a couple of simple tests.
First of all, create a PHP page called mailtest.php containing the following script:

Save the script, upload it to your server, and load it into a browser. If you see "Mail is sent", you're in business. If not, it probably means that the hosting company insists on the fifth argument being supplied to mail(). This is your email address preceded by -f. Change the line of code that sends the mail to this:

Obviously, replace "[email protected]" with your own email address.
If this results in the mail being sent successfully, you will need to adapt the code in form2mail.php to accept the fifth parameter. You need to change the following line, which is a few lines from the end of the script:

Change it to this:

Need help trouble shooting mail issue

Mail issue started when the compter (imac intel, g4, os 10.6.8) said it needed to restart during a mail download. I restarted, then the mail program would not stop downloading older messages. I went online and followed a whole bunch of suggestions, which only made matters worse (preferences... drag com.mail.plist to desktop, add it back, rebuild mail) nothing worked. I then trashed the mail program, and trashed some of the mail cache (not wanting to lose preferences, I lett this cache). Then mail I could not access mail without the set-up assistant showing on screen. So... (digging a deeper and deeper hole!) I tried to restore mail from my time machine back-up (severl days prior to issue) and it did not help. I then reinstalled applications from snow leopard... not helpful. I then figured I could use migration assistant to copy my working mail program from my mac pro and this did not solve the issues. Of course all of this taking me away from my Christmas shopping:-)
So, I tried to set it up manually, but the program will not save the password and it keeps asking for the password but rejecting it each time.
Any ideas??

Thanks for your suggestion regarding contacting Apple. I called the Express service and talked for a couple of hours trying to resolve the issues.
One, to deal with the password issue, Keychain Access > Preferences > click on Reset My Default Keychain, close.
For the original issue of mail downloading messesges from my server every time I checked mail,
Library > Mail folder > messagealreadydownloaded3 > drag to trash. Issues resolved!!!
As for creating a pretty good mess... well all I can say is that I was following suggestions from other users that have posted online with similar issue. Lesson learned??? Not sure if there was one:-)

Need help with PHP mail script

I have created a log in system . In that when the user completes the registration process an auto reply(auto-reply@domain) will generate and sent this to users email id regarding about the user name and password (Lo gin Details). After formal approval from the admin the user will get a user activation mail with log in link.
But , my problem is these are work only for mail accounts from my domain only(test@domain). its not send any of above mentioned details to other mail services like gmail or yahoo etc.
i discussed this   with some others, they said its the problem with your mail function   configuration. but i didn't get any needful information as am a beginner in PHP scripting.
i have contacted this with my hosting service they said its the problem with php mail () function and use php mailer() instead mail().
please give me a solution for the same..

Need help with web mail sound

Apparently in seup in web mail, one can check the box for a sound to be heard when new mail arrives...ie.."You got mail or something to that effect." Getting info on this subject or any subject is like pulling teeth ..all i get is links that do not answer to my problem. What will it take to get a live person or at the least a response to my question. Also, when I open verizon.net to read or see if I have had any mail, I sign in correctly, and am asked if i forgot my password. I didn't forget, apparently verizon has...so just on a whim, in that same page, I click on the link email and voila, i see my mail...Now, that being said, whats to prevent anyone else to read my mail by doing the same thing? I even resetted the password...and I thought Time warner internet was bad.

Photoshop Elements is not very good at doing the alignment of music to the photos. Its slide show functions are very basic.

Need help locating backed up pictures and letters online

I wrote a letter to my son using QuickOffice. Is it backed up with back up assistant and if so, where. If not, how do I transfer this to the computer to print and mail the letter. He is in the Army Basic training so electronic communication is not permitted.

I need help in sending a picture via message on iphone 5

I am experiencing a problem with sending a picture that I just took. I have the option to message/mail/facebook.. etc, the photo. I select message and enter a recipient, the phone freezes and the screen must be exited to get the phone to work again. Is anyone else having this problem and what is the fix?

Do you have Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging set to "On"?
Are you all set up with your cellular carrier to use MMS Messaging?

First of all, before you do any programming, if you want to have your computer send e-mail messages then you must have access to an SMTP server.
Next, if you do have access to one, then JavaMail is a common way to write programs that send e-mail.
As for mobile messages ("text messages" to a cellphone?) you usually need a contract with some phone company to do that, so they can bill you for it.
When you find out about that, they should provide you with documentation on how to proceed. If it involves sending e-mail to a particular address, see part 1 of this reply.

Need help migrating from Mail 3.6 to Mail 4.2

I just bought a new 27" i7 iMac w/ 8gb ram, 1 TB hard drive.
I'm trying to migrate my settings over from my old G4 17" Powerbook. I'm running 10.5.8 on the laptop with Mail 3.6.
How do I import my mailboxes from my old computer onto the new one? I've tried copying the old Mail folder over to the new computer over firewire. That didn't work. I then archived the mailboxes on the old computer and brought those files over to the new machine. I tried to import them on the new machine directly through mail, no dice.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

you need to do it with both the Mail folder AND the mail preference file.
quit Mail and copy over the whole folder /users/username/library/mail AND the file /users/username/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist. start Mail and it should look as it did on the old computer.
BTW, using Migration Assistant you can migrate your entire user including Mail, address book, music and so on.
