Need to run php script before the Flash component kicks in

I have a slide show component in Flash which uses an xml file to load images. The xml file, however, is created dynamically when the user selects which slide show they want to see. How do I run the php script BEFORE the slide show component has a chance to look for it? Usually it begins as soon as the .swf is run.

I'm still new at as3 so forgive me for needing details.
I searched adobe for help and came up with the following to import the component. However, it seemed too easy to be true and so it was. I received errors when I ran it. The component is a commercial one called SlideshowBox and is in my library with that exact name.

Verify a disk
As an alternative, you can verify that the filesystem on the disk is correct. You will not be able to repair the file system.
I suggest that you use disk utility to verify that your startup disk is OK.
Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
Start up disk utility. On the left pane view, you will see a list of all your disks.
Click on your startup disk.
Click on the First Aid Tab.
Click on verify.
Hopefully your disk will verify. If not, you have to boot from your installation DVD and run Disk Utility from there to attempt to repair your file-system.

Running perl scripts off the preinstall script during a pkgadd

Hello,
I'm trying to build a custom package (apache2 + mysql + php + other stuff) and get stuck on some stone wall that I can't figure.
Correct me if I'm wrong in my assumptions, and if able, could you provide a work around ? Here it is :
- The preinstall script must be in /bin/sh , /bin/bash or any valid shell
- Must be run by root, 'f course
Now.. As I'm not that strong on bash/sh scripting, I tried to call a perl script off my preinstall script. Somehow my preinstall script just never call the .pl .
This leads me to my third assumption :
- It is impossible, not permissible to run other scripts from the preinstall script.
Basically the perl script checks for some users in /etc/passwd + /etc/group, checks for some directories, create a custom SMF manifest, etc etc . I pretty much want the .pl script to be run.
The script itself is well packaged, correctly inserted in the package's pkgmap, and so on.
Any ideas ?

Run a Script after the MA is published to SAP ERP.

Hello, I'm trying to run a script after the MA is published, in order to automatically change it's status.
I already have the script done and working, the only problem is that I need to know where to put it (or what type of script it should be) in order to run after the MA has been published successfully.

That is also a good solution.
But what I did to fix it was to make a Script to run on validation.
Then, on that phase I checked the date of sent to external. If that date was null, it meant that Agreement had never been published.
Otherwise, it meant i had been published, and so I checked for the status to change it if neccesary.

After a time my computer starts flashing it is resolved by turning off Thunderbird. There is no link to how long before the flashing starts.

After an unspecified time my computer starts flashing. I assumed it was a hardware problem but found that every time I switch off Thunderbird the flashing stops. If i turn it back on the flashing has stopped but eventually returns. There is no time link, it might be hours before the flashing starts. It is always resolved if I turn off Thunderbird. I have compacted folders, altered check for new email times. I cannot force the flashing to start.

In System Preferences > Startup Disk, select your internal hard drive by clicking on it. The trouble you are seeing is because the Mac is looking for a network to start from and can't find one. Point it to your hard drive instead.

Do I need to pass a applet test with Java before the Flash player will function?

I have downloaded the unstall and install programs for Adobe Flash Player and followed all the steps poster, "eidnolb" noted to prior poster greenie41180 on March 6th, 2010, 8:05PM.   The flash player test did not work.   I also do not see applets, when I use the latest version of Java on an applet test.    I might try reinstalling IE8, or going to IE7 and reinstalling Flash Player. Gawd! hours have been used, just trying to get Flash Player going so I can resume watching the tutorials at Mathtutordvd.com.
What other troubleshooting steps can be taken?   I have tried everything eidnolb suggested in prior posts.
Hello everyone, When I try to download the Flash player I get the error message listed above.    I turned off the firewall and virus modes on my TrendMicro protection program, when downloading the player.     I already have Java 6, update 18 in the system.   I restarted the computer. I also adjusted the configurations for Javascript and ActiveX under the "Tools" menu for the Security and Advanced tabs of Internet options. I have Windows XP, service pack 3, with Internet Explorer 8.
Also, I tested the recent, most updated program, Java and I still can not see an applet.    I have spent 7 or more hours on this. I thought initially this process was going to be straight forward.     I desperately need this Flash player so I can learn math at the streaming video site called, Mathtutordvd.com       Oh! gosh maybe someone here can help me help myself by giving me more troubleshooting steps. I did follow Adobe's troubleshooting steps, but I still get the same, above error box with, MSXML2.XSL Template 3.0 (Original exception: undefined)
I hope, eventually to watch the streaming site, once this Flash Player is loaded.   I really do not understand what is going on here. Thanks for your help.

Problems with php script in the contact form

Hello, I am from the Czech Republic and I am not a coder. I have 2 problems with my php sript. I am using a simple php script from Paul Trani, see below.
Firstly the email adress - when someone inserts an email adress in this form [email protected] it is OK, but when someone writes an address for example [email protected] (this type of adress is very common in our country) the answer is "That is not a valid email address. Please return to the previous page and try again." I think the problem is the dot before the @.
Secondly diacritical marks - Since I am from the Czech Republic we use diacritical marks (for example š,č,ř,ž,á,í,é,ě) so instead of this letters a get ? or Å or Å¡ to my email.
I really do not know how to fix these problems.

Running PHP Script

I've enabled the Apache server on my mac, and when I access my local IP address I can see the web page I've created. However, it appears that the server doesn't process PHP scripts, and just returns the source code of the PHP script when I try to open the script in Safari 4. How do I get the built-in Apache server to process PHP scripts and return the desired result?

PHP is disabled by default. To enable it, you must edit Apache's configuration file. To do this, open up /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf with a text editor. The file is owned by root, so you'll need appropriate access to modify the file. Text editors like BBEdit or TextWrangler can make this step much easier.
Fairly early on in the configuration file is the section for the Dynamic Shared Object support - these are the modules that Apache loads to enable it to perform various tasks. In this section are a whole bunch of "LoadModule" statements - one for each module that Apache is loading. One of these is for PHP support. In the httpd.conf file on my machine, the built-in PHP module's statement is on line 114, the next to last item in this section. It reads: "#LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so" Remove the "#" from the beginning of the line, save the file, and restart Apache.
If you plan on using PHP files as the default page for a directory (index.php, for example), you'll need to add index.php to the Directory Index section (line 225 in my file). Apache looks for them in the order listed, so if you list index.php after the index.html that's already there, Apache will look for index.html when asked for the directory before looking for index.php. If you're going to have index.php for most of your directories, you may want to list it first, before index.html.
With regard to PHP itself, Apple's included PHP isn't any more official that the one I mentioned from Marc Liyanage. They're both compiled from the same source code. And, as far as updating goes, I'd argue that it's easier to update Marc's version, as you simply download an updated version and the installer will overwrite the old version. And, you don't have to wait for Apple to release a new version of OS X or a security update to see if you get a more current version. His versions will almost always be more current than the one Apple provides.
In any event, Marc's version does not remove Apple's version from your system. His installs in /usr/local/ and leaves Apple's version intact. So, you can always go back to Apple's version by changing a few lines in a configuration file.

When I load a game or anything before the flash will load I have to click on a jigsaw puzzle piece

Before I upgraded the flash it load itself. Now when ever a pic or something come on I get a jigsaw puzzle piece I have to click to start flash. Why? Can I fix it?

Two thoughts. Your Mac is struggeling about how to get organized.
- free space on internal hard disk should read more than 10Gb and even
rather like 25GB
- The hard disk that You store Your movie on can be in wrong format
∆ is it formatted OK (if only one = internal it's most probably OK)
∆ external hard disks MUST BE - Mac OS Extended formatted to work
• DOS/UNIX/Mac Exchange - won't do !
- The hard disk can be untidy:
∆ Run: Repair Permissions (Apple Disk Util tool)
∆ Run: Repair Hard disk (Apple Disk Util tool) (You need to start from CD/DVD
or externa hard disk)
∆ AND - delete iMovie pref file (or start a new account / log into this and re-try.
(will do the same but it discards even more eventually faulty files)

Send PDF form to e-mail as attachment with a PHP script on the server

For several days I've been searching though the internet looking for a solution, a quite simple one in my opinion, but I got a little desperate not getting any result I want.
Okay. The Situation.
I have a PDF form to order sandwiches and drinks.
The PDF has serveral area's and columns where customers fill in the amount of the products they would like to order.
At a position of a field, the kitchen can almost blindly see what products a customer ordered.
Therefore, when someone fills in the form, I want to send the filled PDF by e-mail to the kitchen's e-mail adress. And important: the PDF in the kitchen's mailbox should be completely identical to the form the customer filled in.
So, I have an Order button in my form. I set the action as 'Submit a form'.
In the settings under 'Enter a URL for this link' I used just some PHP mailer script I also use on my website contact form.
IF I check 'HTML' under 'Export Format' the PHP mailer works fine. I receive an HTML e-mail listed the ordered products.
BUT
I do want the original filled PDF in my mailbox instead of an HTML e-mail.
So, for 'Export Format' I checked 'PDF The Complete Document'.
But then my PHP mailer script doesn't work anymore.
It gives errors like 'no valid e-mail adres' , etcetera etcetera.
Who has a solution?
Who has a working standard PHP script for me what just sends the kitchen an empty mail with the original PDF as attachment?!
There is no need to use any database or other more complex functionality. Just mail the filled PDF.

You can submit whole PDF format as long as you enable usage rights on the PDF.
Normally Adobe Reader users can only submit the data, XFDF, FDF, XDP, XML.
To enable usage rights on the PDF you will need to use Adobe Acrobat Std/Pro.
As for the PHP Script; it depends on your PHP web server capabilities.
The script will be slightly different, if the server uses PHP Mail or PHP PEAR.
Just attach the submission to an email and send.
If the client is submitting the form from a standalone pdf reader app, you can also respond with a success or failure FDF \status message; otherwise, you can redirect to a success / failure URL.

RUNNING PHP SCRIPT WITH ZEND FRMWRK IN WINDOWS TASK SCHEDULER

I have a PHP script which includes the Zend framework Mail.php for sending mails.
I am running a WAMP server and i used DW to create it.
I want to run my script in every 5 mins, How i can schedule it in Windows task scheduler.
I tried running a bat which contains the php.exe path and arguments as php file but it gives an error that zend/mail.php not found.
Please help its really urgent.

path of the php.exe -f path of php file.
But when it runs it gives an error that the zend framework file not found.
I have a seperate PHP includes folder under which zend FW is stored.
That folder is marked in includes_paths in php.ini.

Run PHP script

Hello, everybody. I'm wondering if it's possible to run a HTML PHP script in a report region which type is HTML format? Something like:

As I can imagine, this code could not be handled to PHP compiler although as I know, the ORACLE appication server has been compiled together with PHP 5. So is there any tricks to make this work, or does APEX have some plan to make similar things work in the later version?

Word) invoice file, inserts some information in the
file (eg. today's date, customer name) and then saves
it as a new Word file. My questions are as follows.
1- How can I call this script from my Java
application. Please note that I want to be able to

my Java app. to this script.You would have to call the PHP interpreter through Runtime.exec(), I believe. I haven't done anything with it, but you would have to build the command that would normally be typed on the command line as a string and pass it to Runtime.exec().

However, I'm not sure exactly at what point in the logout process the logout hook is executed so there might be a problem running a script that deletes the home directory of the user that's being logged out.
