Not Waiting after invoking Oracle Conc Program
Hi,
My Scenario is for PO Interface iinto oracle is,
Inside BPEL Process,
Activity 1 is Invoking DB Adapter to Insert the records into Temporary Table.
Activity 2 is invoking DB Adapter to call an Custom API to which picks the records from Temp table, validate and Insert the records into Interface Tables.
Activity 3 is Invoking DB Adapter to Submit concurrent program , but that concurrent program is taking 1 minute.
BPEL is not waiting for 1 minute for the program to complete.
So I am putting WAIT activity so that Conc program finishes completely and creates the PO numbers in Oracle base tables.
Activity 4 is Invoking DB Adapter Package.Procedure, which picks the PO number from oracle base tables and update them in Temporary tables send the PO creation/failure status , and email id of buyer through out variables.
Activity 5 sends the email to the respective buyer with PO Status.
We are seeing that Wait activity is not waiting for the conc program to finish completely and BPEL is executing till ACTIVITY 3 above, after wait activity its coming out.
When I remove wait it executes all the steps in sequence without waiting for ACTIVITY 3 to complete successfully.
Can some body validate my sceanrio and suggest the desired solution.
Regards
Manish
Manish,
I'm also currently in a similar project. To invoke a conc.prgm I did the following
- wrote a pl/sql api where in I call the conc.pgm using fnd_request.submit_request and then I used FND_CONCURRENT.WAIT_FOR_REQUEST to wait for until the conc.pgm finishes.
To get the status's back also, I did this part inside the same api. This way I achieved the desired result.
Let me know if you need additional info.
Thanks,
Sen

Oracle 10gr2 locally is not working after installing Oracle 11g
hi ,
Does anyone has any idea after installing oracle 11g in system, Oracle 10g locally is not working. I am getting below error.
Forms session <2> failed during startup: no response from runtime processGenerally this is because the software you install last updates the system environment variables with its information, thereby break products that use files with similar names. Specifically, look at PATH and ORACLE_HOME. Likely you will see that entries for your 11g installation will be displayed first. In order to use v10, you would need to change this or use script files to start executibles. For Forms runtime, be sure to properly set default.env to point to the desired PATH

Iphoto will not load after trying to move program from HD to ext. HD
Not knowing that Mac does not like to have Iphoto program moved from MacHD to an external to save space, I am now in a mess. I have tried to use time machine to reload the program and the Library. At first I got an old libary, now the program opens (kinda) but when the screen opens to ask where or what library I want to use, it locks up with no choices.
Like an earlier post I find that I should have saved all the photos as JPEGs in another folder, but didn't. So, how do I get the program back on line and get my photos? You should not (and have no need to) move the iPhoto application - the best way to get it back correctly is to reinstall it form the original media is was installed from
The iPhoto library is easy to move -
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

Hyper-V not accessable after enabling it in program and features
When I enabled the feature for Hyper V on one of our Consultant's Windows 8.1 laptop this is the error we get when we try to open the MMC console app:
MMC Cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\virtmgmt.msc
This may be because the files does not exist, is not an mmc console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may be3 also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.
The user has local admin rights and when I opened up mmc.msc manually and tried to added the hyper V snap-in tool it errored out as well.
Is there a way to install Hyper-V with our windows 8.1 enterprise disk or is there a way to repair the Hyper-V Installation?
I also tried opening vmconsole.exe and the error we get is "file and directory is corrupted and unreadable".Hi,
Sorry for the delay, how's everything going now? if issue persists, please try following steps.
Does this issue happen in other PC or other user account? if not, then as kate mentioned before, could be a corrupted user profile, I suggest you follow guide in this link to fix this issue:
(this is for Windows 7, but instruction for Windows 7 is similiar to Windows 8/8.1, in the guide, there's a step to launch MMC, if you're unable to open mmc, you can just run lusrmgr.msc to open "Local users and groups" )
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7
Meanwhile, you can also run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
to fix some corrupted files, you can use a installation disk as a source file, please refer to detailed information in the following link:

Photoshop CS2 not working after 10.6.7 update? program error!
Could not complete your request because of a program error. I opened an image RGB and wanted to save it as a CMYK.
Save as and entered new name... thats it! Then the error popped up. The only thing that has changed is the update!
Please help.If you updated to 10.6.7 then you should (go to your Apple menu at the far left and) check for updates.
There was a problem with some types of Fonts that has been fixed by the Snow Leopard Font update:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1377
However, always wait after an OS update (true of Windows too) and see if it causes any problems with 3rd-party software, etc. - PRIOR to updating your system And always, always have a full, known-good backup before you update. Especially for any computer that is used for business purposes !
Last but definitely not least, you should know that Adobe CS2 is a Power-PC only application (circa G4 and G5 processors, before Apple moved to Intel processors), and requires Rosetta (PowerPC emulation).
So you should consider any CS2 application running at all, as fairly miraculous.
CS3 was released four years ago, and provided the first Intel-native ("Universal Binary") versions of the CS-suite applications.
Mac OS 10.6 only runs on Intel-based Macs (ie: Intel processor required).
If you are using Photoshop CS2 for any revenue-generating purposes, then it is (and was) incumbent upon you to properly allocate and budget for
upgrades and you should - nay, must - be running a more current version of the software. If your budget does not allow for newer Adobe CS, then you should have kept a legacy system that can run an older Mac OS, and understand that your workflow is living on borrowed time - and you had best keep several old Macs that can still run an older Mac OS and run your CS2 natively.
In no way shape or form is CS2 supported under Mac OS X 10.6 - certainly not in any official way by Adobe !
You could also be irate about not being able to use your 8-track tape player in your brand new car. I'm exaggerating but not too much.
Please read Adobe's response regarding CS3 (not CS2) and 10.6/Snow Leopard:
http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2009/08/adobe_snow_leopard_faq.html
With all of this in mind, you should know that your frustrations with Apple and the unsupported and not-recommended interaction of CS2 and 10.6 are misguided. Best of luck to you ! -

Please do following checklist:
1. Check that the J2EE engine is up and running (e.g. log in with Admin)
2. Check that the following application is running:
Visual Admin => Cluster => Server => Services => Deploy
Select "Application" and look for "sap.com/tclmctcutilbasic_ear
3. Try to continue installation
It could be helpful to apply the patch for CTC as per note # 938261
before restarting.
and also try to add more memory allocation.
If issue persists,
- I'd like to know which installation DVD/CD number being using ?
- The contents of the LABEL.ASC file.
- The installation guide reference and title used for this install ?
- SAPINST version ?
- Oracle version/patch level ?
- Operating system version/patch level ?

Wait activity does not expires after giving time frame
Hi all,
We are using SOA suite version 11.1.1.5. In our process, we use a wait activity so that the process will wait for a certain time frame (say 1 min) and again proceeds when the wait activity time expires.
The above process was running successfully for some months. But suddenly the instances are getting stopped in the wait activity and they are not proceeding after the given time.
The audit trail shows wait activity pending. And the wait activity does not expires even after the respected time.
Kindly suggest the possibilities of this scenario.
Regards,
GopiHi Gopi,
You can look at the logs to see if there are for any errors/warnings during the wait activity execution.
A possible explanation can be due to an error in a later on activity (like invoke or assign). If you have an error that you didn't catch, the process will try to rollback to the last dehydrate point (in your case the wait activity) and stuck there.
Thanks

I am trying to setup my new time capsule but it is not working. after entering the airport utility and locating the TC, after I tell the program to continue, the unit just disappear from the menu and the setup menu says there is an error. I tried using the wireless connection, and also the cable, but none worked. Any idea of what could be happening?
What are you setting it up as.. join wireless network .. the very worst setup, it will disappear.. reboot the whole network in order modem. router TC.. clients and it will likely reappear.
Tell us what network setup you are using..
If you setup with cable to a computer completely isolated from the network with TC also isolated.. finish the setup of everything you want. .before update.. then plug it into the network. .then restart everything in correct order.. it will work most of the time. -
Provider not compatible version of Oracle client after upgrade 4.112.1.2
I had an ASP.NET 3.5 website running
on intranet small business server as production with:
OS Win2008 Standard 32-bit
Oracle Database 11g107 32-bit
Oracle DataAccess 2.111.60 32-bit
On a development laptop,
I upgraded the website to ASP.NET 4.0.
The development laptop had
OS Windows 7 32-bit
VS 2010
Oracle Database 11g201 32-bit
Oracle DataAccess 4.112.12
Application was running without errors.
On the production server,
I uninstalled Oracle Database 11g107,
to include removing Oracle home and install folders,
and in HKLM > Software > Oracle registry folder.
I installed Oracle Database 11g201
and installed the ODP.NET upgrade to 4.112.12.
(except for VS components).
In the website web.config,
I changed the referenced assembly to:
<assemblies>
<add assembly="Oracle.DataAccess, Version=4.112.1.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342" />
I changed IIS70 Application pool advanced settings to ASP.NET 4.0,
restarting application pool and website.
Rebooted system.
On starting the application when it accesses the Oracle connection,
I get the dreaded: Provider not compatible.
Exception Details: Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException: The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client
Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

as it runs fine on the development laptop.

Is there a command I need to run to remove the old 111.6.0 Oracle client references from GAC?
Eventhough Oracle ODP.NET installer put a policy to refer the older version to the new?In
C:\Program Files\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0
and in
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319
There is only SYSTEM.DATA.ORACLECLIENT
I suspect that we would not see Oracle.DataAccess.dll in these locations anyway.
++++++++
In
C:\Windows\assembly
There is:
Oracle.DataAccess 2.112.1.2
Oracle.Database.Extensions 2.112.1.2
Oracle.Web 2.112.1.2
This is the GAC for ASP.NET 2.0-3.5,
so this appears to be correct
++++++++
In
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32
There is:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\Oracle.DataAccess\v4.0_4.112.1.2__89b483f429c47342
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\Oracle.Database.Extensions\v4.0_4.112.1.2__89b483f429c47342
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\Oracle.Web\v4.0_4.112.1.2__89b483f429c47342
with the appropriate 4.112.1.2 dlls in these folders
This is the GAC for ASP.NET 4.0,
so this appears to be correct.

Removed Oracle Providers references, I just need ODAC to update and insert data into schema data tables,
and do not use the ASP.NET Oracle Providers schema.
Should I need ASP.NET Oracle Providers schema, I can always add references in the application web.config.

So... why would I get provider not compatible version of Oracle Client...
there are no other versions of ODAC hanging around,
unless there are other locations I am not aware of.
The application works fine in development laptop.
The application works fine on production server when I use SYSTEM.DATA.ORACLECLIENT.
But we need to migrate away from SYSTEM.DATA.ORACLECLIENT according to Microsoft,
and I am sure Oracle would rather have me use Oracle.DataAccess client anyway.
++++++
I even tried a trick from another post to move what appears to be Oracle Instant Client components,
oci.dll, et al, from an installation into a new home of the Oracle 11g201 Cllent 32 along with Oracle.DataAccess.dll into the website BIN folder
and set references for Oracle.DataAccess.dll to LOCAL TRUE.

So I remain stuck. -
