Hi All,
We just installed oracle forms10g, when we compile a form and run it, it opens in the browser but with small area of it appearing and the rest is hided. there is no scrolling or any thing. How can i make the browser open it in full size (viewing area)?

Swati is correct. To be specific, if you want to use all of the available space in the browser area set HEIGHT and WIDTH in formsweb.cfg as follows:
HEIGHT=100%
WIDTH=100%
This will force the applet size to use the entire white space of the browser. Well, not exactly all. There will be a slight boarder around the applet area. This is expected behavior.

When importing files, my view window to search for files is really small, how do I make it bigger so I can actually search for files?

How big this is depends on the size of your screen. On a 13" it is really small. But you can improve things a bit. Click the green button to make the import window fill the screen.
Drag the area between the file list and the preview area up or down to increase one or the other:

  • Small Images Viewer Window?

    Hi,
I imported some images today that appear quite small in the viewer window and also are very small in size, KB as opposed to MB.  I've attached a screenshot of the image information.
Can you tell me if I did something wrong when taking the pictures (with Canon Powershot G11) to make this happen or is it a setting in Aperture causing size to be small?
    Thanks.
    lsb

Aperture does not scale down your images when you are importing. The original image file must have been scaled down.
Did you import directly from your camera or your card using Aperture's "Import" panel?
Check the setings in your camera. There must be a menu somewhere, were you can set the image resolution.

  • Oracle 10g on Windows - How to connect?

May be this is a small one, I dont know how to connect to sql in windows.
I installed oracle 10g on Windows XP SP3, choosing basic Installation.
    Successfully Installed.
In Linux we use sqlplus '/as sysdba' to connect and we get sql> prompt.
In windows how to connect or get SQL> prompt?

You can remove the quotes. Like Unix, this only works by default if you are connected as operating system user owner of Oracle Database software installation.
    C:\>sqlplus / as sysdba

  • BO XI R2 - "Blank "Crystal Reports Viewer" window - attempt to print report

My company recently set up a Business Object Enterprise XI Release 2 server.  On the server are a number of crystal reports that are run interactively by users, through the user console.  The expectation is that the user will log on to the BI server, click on the report title, enter the parameters, see a preview of the report in the Crystal Report Viewer, then click the print icon on the Crystal Report Viewer toolbar.
Our corporate standard is current Windows XP SP3, with Internet Explorer 8;  By default, users are set up to use the DHTML report viewer.  The reports were developed with the Crystal Reports XI R2 report designer, and connect to an Oracle 10g database through Oracle client.
When users attempt to view, then print the reports, the user is able to select the report, enter the parameters, view the report data, and even page through the report preview with no issues.  However, when the user attempts to print the report by clicking the print icon on the Crystal Reports Viewer toolbar, a blank "Crystal Reports Viewer" window pops up and remains indefinitely.
The really puzzling thing about this issue is that for about 1/3 of our users, printing will work - a print dialog will appear, allowing the user to select a printer, and when the user clicks OK, the report will print.   For the other 2/3 of our users, the blank "Crystal Reports Viewer" window pops up.
I have added the BO XI R2 server's address to trusted sites, adopted the lowest security settings for trusted sites, and enabled all activity I could think of in IE security settings (ActiveX controls-related).  I also ran the web site in compatibilitiy mode.
Has anyone on this forum experienced this issue, and does anyone here know how to resolve it?
    Thank you,
    Bob Gardner

I suspect that this behavior occurs because the client computer is unable to download ActiveX controls.
The report viewer requires the PrintControl.dll to print reports from the client computer. The PrintControl.dll downloads automatically if it has not been previously downloaded on to the client computer, provided that the user that is currently logged on is able to download ActiveX controls.
To enable the download of ActiveX controls on the client computer, perform the following steps:
    1) Open your Internet Explorer.
    2) From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
    3) In the Security tab, select the web content zone that corresponds to your web application.
    4) Click Custom Level.
    5) In the Security Settings dialog box, scroll down to find the ActiveX controls and plug-ins section.
    6) Select Enable or Prompt for the Download signed ActiveX controls item.
    7) The print dialog box will now appear successfully when clicking the print button in the report viewer.
If the above does not help, try to troubleshoot this as follows:
    1) click the print button (this will cause a postback to the web page) and then cancel the print dialog. right-click in the web page and select "View Source".
    2) Search for the word "printcontrol.cab". This will show you where the application is trying to download the printcontrol from.
Paste the URL into a browser.
    3) If you get prompted to "open or save to disk" the url is correct and there is a browser setting or possibly even a system policy preventing the download.
    4) If you get a "404 page not found" or a similar error message, investigate the URL.
    5) If the issue is on your local web server, see if it is possible to browse to the URL in IIS manager.

  • Oracle Discoverer Viewer will not display in browser

    Hi,
I tried using the link below to get to discoverer viewer but it is not working. I can access Oracle Enterprise Manager without any problem.
Could you please help me with that.
    Thanks,
    Vani
    ===========================================
Start a Web browser and enter the Discoverer Plus URL containing the fully qualified host name (including port number if necessary) used by your own installation.
    For example:
    http://machinename.myorganization.com:7777/discoverer/plus
    Where:
machinename.myorganization is the hostname and domain on which the Oracle HTTP Server is installed
7777 (optional) is the port number on which the Oracle HTTP Server is installed if the default port number (i.e. port 80) has been changed
/discoverer/plus is the URL command that starts Discoverer Plus

I am using oracle 9iAS on Windows 2000 Professional.
Database is the one created from the Oracle 9iAS CD that holds the 9iAS Infrastructure.
I have tried using both Netscape 7.1 and Internet Explorer 6.
At this moment, I am hosting database, Application server and browser on this test machine.
I am starting to believe that may be I do not have the correct EUL version but I have used Oracle IDs to create the EUL. It is version 5.x.x. I am not at the location so I cannot give the exact EUL version.
    Thanks,
    Vani

  • Oracle.adf.view.rich.newWindowDetect.OPTIONS ADF_FACES-30163

    Hi, all!
I have turned flag oracle.adf.view.rich.newWindowDetect.OPTIONS to ON in web.xml
    +<context-param>+
    +<param-name>oracle.adf.view.rich.newWindowDetect.OPTIONS</param-name>+
    +<param-value>on</param-value>+
    +</context-param>+
but when I look into the log (after starting server) :
+<Warning> <oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.webapp.rich.RegistrationFilter> <ADF_FACES-30163> <The application is running with the new window detect flag off. It is highly recommended that this flag be turned on to ensure proper functioning of your application when new browser windows are launched. In web.xml set the context parameter oracle.adf.view.rich.newWindowDetect.OPTIONS to 'on'.>>+
Why this situation is possible? Why weblogic doesn't see this param is web.xml?

in sample application the issue is not reproducible .Therefore ,try to delete the web.xml file and clean all the application and again create one more web.xml file and copy the contents of earlier web.xml.
Hope it will work as expected manner.

Even i never come across with that situation, I tried to dig on it. i found something for you, read this
On Windows, Oracle Database DLLs form part of the executable at run time and are therefore smaller. DLLs can be shared between multiple executables. Relinking by the user is not supported, but executable images can be modified using ORASTACK.
Modifying executable images on Windows reduces the chances of running out of virtual memory when using a large SGA or when supporting thousands of connections. However, Oracle recommends doing this only under the guidance of Oracle Support Services.

  • HELP! Oracle 9i on Windows Server 2003

Hi, if I go to download the 9.0.2.1.0 release 2 of Oracle 9i for Windows Server 2003 there is only a patch and another small zip file, and not the full 3 Disk zip files? Then if you read the release notes under the zip links it points to the 9.0.2.1.0 release 2 of Oracle 9i for Windows 2000/XP? And then talks about applying some patches...
Can someone confirm that I do need to install the 9.0.2.1.0 release 2 of Oracle 9i for Windows 2000/XP on the Windows 2003 Server and then apply these patches?
    TIA

This is the release option for the Windows 2003 Server:
    Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal/Client Edition
    for Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
but like I mentioned above it only has a patch and another small zip file which is obviously not the complete Oracle9i database:

It seems that you store UI reference is session scope bean, which is a common mistakes.

  • Viewing Window for Large Graphs

Hi! I'm looking for pointers on how to develop a viewing window for large graphs, otherwise called 'reference maps' or 'reference diagrams'. For instance, you might have a very large diagram that does not fit in your screen with a very small version of it to one side. Over the small graph, there would be a square box that you move around to focus over to section of the graph. As you move the box, the large diagram on the other side moves around to show that "enlarged" area covered by the box. I'm trying to avoid reinventing the wheel. I've found plenty of information on graphs and diagrams, but nothing close to what I need. Please help? Thanks!

  • How to keep the Viewer window active during cutting and inserting to timeline?

Greetings all, I'm a football coach looking to use FCP to do my film breakdowns.  Been learning as much as I can about FCP and I've done some trial runs, so far so good, though it's a bit slow going since I am a football coach after all .  Anyhow, current issue is I want to be able to take a game film and cut it up into plays, each play is a separate clip.  I'm getting it to go fairly quickly, I have the film open in the Viewer, just mark in and out and I've been dragging the clip down to the timeline, one after the other, using the insert option.  I'm now trying to use the F9 key to have it insert to timeline without me having to drag it.  It works except the problem is that once the clip is inserted to the timeline, the Canvas window becomes the active one rather than the Viewer.  So if I keep hitting 'I' and 'O' and F9, it won't be cutting up the film since the Viewer isn't active.  As it is now I'll need to remember to click the mouse in the Viewer window after each insert in order to have that active and be able to resume my I,O,F9 routine.  Is there a way around this?  It seems like a small issue but I can't find any support on it and it could end up being a massive headache where one little slip up means a lot of wasted time.  Am I explaining this clearly and does anyone have a solution?  Any other thoughts on football video editing that people are curious about or have seen that might be helpful?  I appreciate your time,
           Grouch

Or a third way would be (if you only cut out small pieces of the overall footage):
Drag the whole clip in to the timeline. Mark in and out for the parts that you DON'T want.
Hit the Delete button (if you have an extended keyboard or Shift-Backspace, if you are using a Macbook (Pro).
    Rienk
