PDF Signatures - Error Message

When signing a PDF signature field component, results in the following 3 error messages after each other (text correctly shown, spaces and all)
1) The FieldMDP expression for this signautre is invalid
> After clicking on OK on 1), i get the next err message
2) Creation of this signature could not be completed.
Unknown error
Support Information: CSigField-1013

3)The document could not be signed.
There was an error when attempting to commit this signature. The document was not saved.
The save operation was cancelled.

Are your documents certified? It is because of certification policies, prevent signing.

I've had this problem for awhile in Windows XP SP3. Last night, the simplest thing occurred to me...here's what I did (and I'm telling because it worked).
1. Clicked on Start
2. Clicked on Control Panel
3. Chose Add/Remove Programs
4. Found Apple Software Updater and clicked Remove, then responded Yes
5. Went to apple.com and clicked on Support, and then Downloads
6. Downloaded the latest version of Safari ONLY
7. Installed Safari (knowing it would install the latest version of Apple Software Update)
8. AFTER the installation was complete, I clicked again on Start, then All Programs
9. then, clicked on Apple Software Update

PDF Signature Error-Trouble In Paradise

I was happily using a form for my staff to use to request field time. The form contained 3 signature fields, which were all working fine, until I had to go into the form to add more objects, in an attempt to combine two forms into one. After I added the other information on the form. My staff can sign and send me the request, but I am no longer able to approve and sign (the second signature field), because I get the following messages in the order written:

Digital Signature error message

I am using Windows 7 64bit, Adobe Acrobat XI and have imported my personal digital signature certificate as well as the certificate from the signing authority. They both show in preferences, but mine has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point before it. When I try to sign a pdf document I get the following error message: "You do not have any digital IDs suitable for signing this document". Anyone know what the missing pieces are? Thanks

Investigating the issue there is indeed a “signing private key lifetime” that Adobe seems to be using. This is a setting on our vendor site and is set to 70% of the Public Key Lifetime (which is 5 years). As a result – despite the fact the key can be used to sign messages it would appear that signing documents is set to 3 years and 6 months by virtue of this setting.

I'm having trouble accessing my pdf. Error message: "There was an error opening this document..."

I have been working on a pdf in Adobe Reader 9.3 on 2007 Microsoft Windows v5.1. The pdf is set up as a form that I can enter data into. Last time I worked on it I saved it, and then when I went to open it the next time I had the following error message: "There was an error opening this document. There was a problem reading this document (14)."
I have tried to recover the pdf by going to www.datanumen.com/apdf but when I try to repair the pdf I get another error message: "Xml parsing error: not well formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 12874, column 20 of file." The second error message looks like the problem has been pinpointed but I don't know how to fix it.Could you please let me know if there is any way to recover this file?

Could you please also let me know which version of Adobe Reader are you currently using. If you are not using Reader 9.4.6 (which is the latest version of Adobe Reader), can you try updating to the latest released version by
1. Launching Adobe Reader
2. Clicking on Help > Check for Updates
3. When prompted click on Download followed by Install.
This will update Reader to the latest version.
Also, please verify if this issue that you are facing is with a specific PDF alone or is the issue happening with all PDFs that you are trying to print from Win7.

PDF Generation Error Message:Couldn't open File while generating PDF from a Frame (7.2 Version) book

I'm trying to convert a book into PDF and I get the error message Couldn't open a file (... <filename>.fm) and the unavailable Fonts dialog box also appears. The tricky thing is I've converted the same book into PDF just a couple of days ago. Now when I tried to do it again, I get the above mentioned error message. I tried unselecting the File > Prefrences > General > Remember Missing Fonts checkbox too. However, it didn't help in generating the PDF. I will be thankful if anyone suggests a suitable workaround for this issue. Thanks in advance.

Usually, deselecting Remember missing fonts works.
The missing fonts message displays when you or FrameMaker opens the file. The workaround is to open all the files in the book, or at least those with the "missing" font, clearing the message for each file. Now print the book to PDF, while keeping the files open. This usually works because you have already cleared any missing fonts messages.

Can't open PDF, getting error message

i have worked on a pdf document which has been sent to me to fill in. i have filled it in and saved a copy and now when i try to open it i get the following message.
'This document enabled extended features in adobe reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document.'
This has happened twice now on the same document, what does it mean?

I am getting the same message with a file I JUST got off IRS website.
It is the 2011 Form 8829.
I get the error when I double click on IRS link or try to open from local copy. I can not open it from the web browser or from my local drive after saving it. Nothing shows - I am never able to view the document - I have NOT made any changes to it.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit, Adobe Reader X version 10.1.4.

How fix Explorer 11 PDF Conversion Error Messages - used to work fine!

Using Win7 and Explorer 11. Acrobat 9.5.xx PDF Reader/Creator.
Works fine on one PC at home and other PC (same config and settings) gives error message "Could not access Acrobat Web Capture Facility".
Tried repairing Acrobat 9.5.xx with same error results.
Suggested solution so I can get back to creating PDFs of Websites??

If all else fails, you can try one of 2 things (I will assume you are talking about Reader - though this is not the Reader forum). Use ctrl-alt-del to go to the task list. Kill AcroRd32.exe. Then try again. If that does not work, a reboot will probably solve the problem.

Enlarging view of pdf file error message

I have const. drawings in pd format on my SD card. When I try and zoom on area of drawing the screen goes blank, and I get an error message of "Out of Memory. Can someone explain why this is occuring?

Pdf.ocx error message

When using Internet Explorer to access a web site, I get an error message and shut down when trying to link from within the page to another page. Error message says that the Add-on Name pdf.ocx, Adobe Acrobat Control for ActiveX has created an error and will shut down IE. I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0. Any suggestions on how to correct this error?

Try disabling the Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape "9.4.1" and make sure FoxIt is set to handle PDF files. <br />

Thanks for your continued help. Everyone is in agreement that the file is toast.
The pdf file was downloaded from the web. The site is NYCERS, which is the New York City Employees Pension System. I suppose the file could be corrupt but I am not confident in that.
I have several older pdf files that I can access. I have others pdf files from other web sites in which I get the same error message.
Could it be my MAC?

Adobe Acrobat XI will not print to pdf. Error message says no pages selected.

When I try to print a document created with Acrobat XI (recently updated), I get an error message telling me that no pages were selected. On the print window the "All" radio button is selected but the others are grayed out and not selectable. This was not a problem before I upgraded to XI.

Please see No pages selected printing error (Printing & Prepress).
If the solutions listed there don't do the trick, please let us know. It'll help us narrow down the problem if you can let us know what operating system you have, and whether the printing error is specific to one file, or occurs with any file that you try to print.
