Possible to have a text field display current path of the pdf file?

Would it be possible to display the current (windows) path of the pdf file in the page footer? Something we do in Word & AutoCAD... is it possible & how in Livecycle?

You can get the path of the current doc by using the command:
event.target.path
The filename can be retrieved by using:
event.target.filename
You can set these in a field on the master page so that it will appear as you want at bottom of every page.

Hi,
I followed your suggestion and defined an IR with apex_item.text columns and it works fine. Now however I face a new problem when I run the page and use the standard Search Bar:
- Click on Actions/Filter
- Select a column, for example the employee name.
- Open the Expression field LOV: I correctly see the different names.
- When I select one of the names, in the Expression field, instead of the name, I see:
"<input type="text" name="f03" size="20" maxlength="2000" value="Eugene" />"
Horrible!!!!!!
Is there a way to see the name and not that expression? The same thing get downloaded, so it´s really annoying.

How can I get my instructional text to display when I open the pdf?

I have some fields which I have set up which have help/instructions for completing the information required. This is a questionnaire. When I save it as a pdf, the instsructional text does not display. I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this.

Is it possible to have a text field have both auto font resizing and rich text format?

I am trying to make a field so I can bold or italicize within, but still have the capability to add as much text as I want with the font size getting small so that it all fits in the field. It seems I can have the auto resize OR the Rich Text, but not both. Is there a way around this?

You can't? Just to give you some context, I work as a graphic designer, I'm creating for the first time an iBook for a client and I have quite a few examples already.
A couple of vague examples:
- Imagine a diagonal animation from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the page. I could do this with keynote or html, for example. Now imagine you want some text floating at the top left and bottom right corner.
I wont get into details, but the fact the animation is "cutting" through the text is very much relevant to the context.
- A page with a bold white title, a strong photographic lowkey background and some kind of interaction of top of it.
- A page with a keynote widget occupying almost the entire area, and a title in text format (that would superpose with they keynote but not with its graphics)
- etc etc
These are all impossible scenarios.
The actual interaction with text/images and interactive elements is nonexistent.
But I understand now that the interactive bits of the book must be separated from the other content - its context -which is a shame. And I understand it's not a bug, from what you say. The iBA interface shows the book like a PFD export, in a way, as well as the thumbnails at the Table of Contents, were all the text is visible. The actual pages have a different behaviour.

How do you auto populate a date in a different text field after someone digitally signs the PDF form?

I am trying to auto populate a date in a text box on the upper right hand corner of my document after someone digitally signs it. Is this possible? How do you do this?

Go to the Properties of the Digital Signature field and under the Signed tab enter this JS code, under the last option:
this.getField("SignDate").value = util.printd("mm/dd/yyyy", new Date());
this.getField("SignDate").defaultValue =this.getField("SignDate").valueAsString;
Of course, you can adjust the field name and the date format used in the script above.

Displaying Report name in the PDF File.

I want to print the report in the PDF format.
I executed one report and i am trying to print that report in PDF format.
But in that PDF format it is not showing any report name.

Sure. Go to the conversation that contains the message(s) you wish to forward. Tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Select the message(s) you wish to forward using the radio buttons. Tap "Forward" at the bottom right of the screen.

Yes, Discoverer Desktop, select File --> "Preparar Página" In spanish languaje, in english I think "Page Setup", then select the footer option and include the text you want,

Manage user defined field there is only provision for <b>pick list</b> and not for <b>Pick and pack</b>.

The Pick and Pack Manger doesn't relate to any specific table (nothing saved to the database), so it does not make any sense having a userdefiend field on it. I would guess that you could add a column and bind it to a userdatasource (not a SAP database field), but if this make any sense depends on what you are trying to achive...

Hi! My name is Tom from San Diego, CA. I have the exact same question as you. That is, I would like to be able to print out a photo from iphoto with the date that picture was taken displayed on the face of it. In this way, someone looking at that picture in a photo album years later would know when it was taken. Did you ever find a method to print copies of photos out of iphoto with the date displayed on the print? Thanks for your help!

Actual Text is displayed instead of Barcode in PDF report

I have used the Java class "oracle.apps.xdo.batch.DocumentProcessor" to create a PDF report. The "rtf" template contains barcode , When generating the report from standalone the PDF file contains the actual value instead of the Barcode.
I have used the font "3OF9.TTF"
Please update if anyone know the solution.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that when you click the item in Managed Navaigtion to a Page, the Page title space displays as the "%2520".
The issue is related to the html element is being double encorded, here is a similiar thread for your reference:

How do i get both my IPAD devices to display the PDF icons/attachments? Bearing in mind if i open the same email over the internet the PDF Icons/attachments display OK!

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

Object > Transform > Scale only transforms the box.
Grabbing and dragging a corner while holding shift/ctrl is not accurate enough.

Object -> Transform -> Scale of 200% when applied to a text frame full of text works here: frame doubles in size, text doubles in font size. (CS5.5. and CS6 on Win7) It works on images, too.
In fact, I almost can't reproduce the behavior you report at all. The exception is this: If in CS5.5. I fill a frame with text, and then select the frame with the Direct Select tool (the white arrow) and use Object -> Transform -> Scale, then just the frame changes in size, and the text doesn't change. When you select the frame, which selection tool are you using?
