Previous record values displaying in the Group Footer row in the report.

Hi Friends,
I have 3 tables
TableA:(PERNR BEGDA ENDDA are key fields)
PERNR BEGDA    ENDDA      WERKS
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999 1001
TableB:(PERNR BEGDA ENDDA SUBTY are key fields)
PERNR BEGDA    ENDDA       SUBTY  TYPES
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999   01          COMS1
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999   02         COMS2
TableC:(PERNR BEGDA  ENDDA are key fields)
PERNR BEGDA  ENDDA        AMNT
10001 2/2/1997 4/3/2010      1000
10001 4/4/2010 12/31/9999  2000
I have joined these table by the key 'PERNR'( like A->B and A->C)
Groped by the same key 'PERNR'
My result rows in the report:
PERNR BEGDA    ENDDA      WERKS  SUBTY  TYPES  BEGDA    ENDDA      AMNT
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999 1001       01         COMS1  2/2/1997 4/3/2010    1000
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999 1001       02         COMS2  2/2/1997 4/3/2010    1000
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999 1001       01         COMS1  4/4/2010 12/31/9999 2000
10001 1/1/2010 12/31/9999 1001       02         COMS2  4/4/2010 12/31/9999 2000
But in the report format is like this in the Group Footer row:
PERNR: 10001                     WERKS:1001
SUBTY: 02                          AMNT :2000 (Current date)
                                            AMNT :1000 (Previous record)
I created the format with "Previous" function
but in the report it is giving the '2000' instead of '1000' in the AMT field
Please help me, can i use the for loop in the report? or any sugessions?
Thanks in advance.

Venkata

    to get diff between two date in mysql use date_format() to convert them to date if they r not date type
    then use - (minus)to get diff.

  • Dynamic Picture Displaying in the Group Footer Section

    Hi all,
    I am building a sales quotation layout for SBO in crystal 2008.
    The layout has only one group. The first line in each group in considered to be a slaes tree father.
    For every group i need to display the picture of the "father" in the group footer  (one picture for every group).
    I get up to the stage when for each line in the detailes section i have a picture, but for all the lines other then the "father" line the picture is supressed.
    My problem is moving the displayed fahter picture from the detailes section to the group footer section. Every time i copy the picture field to the group footer nothing is displayed.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    Udi

  • Suppressing a line if the sum of a value = 0 in a group footer

    How do i suppress a line if the sum of a value = 0 in a group footer
    I have tried this this formula in the section expert - Sum ({RM_INV.QUANTITY}) = 0
    will not work.

    Hi Dana,
    The sum function needs to include the group you have your total in like:
    Sum ({table.FIELD1}, {RM_INV.QUANTITY}) = 0
    {table.FIELD1} would be the field you are grouping on.  Your formula was summing the grand total for RM_INV.QUANTITY.

    I have a Crystal Report that reads a customer file grouped by custid.  In the group footer section I need to place the value of the category field from each customer record in a seperate field on the report to match the section text label.The output of the report would look something like this for each customer id (1 page per cusomter id)....
    Customer Table Example:Custid   Category  Section
    101        C         1101        B         3101        D         6101        A         2 230        B         2230        D         3 230        E         1115        A         5115        C         6
    Each page of report example output:************************************************<pageheader>
    Customer Number: 101
    <Details><groupfootersection>
    This customer has the follow for each section:
    Section 1: C  Section 2: A  Section 3: BSection 4:Section 5:Section 6: D
    <Pagefooter>************************************************
    How would I create a field that could diplay the category for each section in the groupfootersection of the report?I realize this could be done in the detail secion of the report for each record, but I do not have the optionto use the detail band.  It has to be done in the groupfootersection so that the fields can be placed in variousplaces depending on customers preference.
    Thanks,

Thus, increasing the performance of the SQL statement."And have you ever tried it? Or do you simply blindly believe everything you read? And what sort of "authority" is "tech on the net"?
    P.S. A quick test on Oracle (and you must do each query at least twice throwing away the first result, as Oracle always caches things which will have an effect, and averaging the remaining attempts).
    count(*) -- 1 min 17 secs for 35,311,978 rows
    count(1) -- 1 min 19 secs for 35,311,978 rows
    Edit: And the table has 46 columns.

    i am getting output

    but i want to display only subtotals and totals rows in the output
    i have tried the
    totals_only   parameter in slis_layout_alv

    hi,
    For TOTAL
    For the amount field / quantity field in the field catalog give DO_SUM = 'X'    for WHOLE total
    For SUBTOTAL
    For subtotal you will have to create an internal table sort..Let's say you want to do subtotal for each customer..
    DATA: lt_sort type SLIS_T_SORTINFO_ALV,
    ls_sort type slis_sortinfo_alv.
    CLEAR ls_sort.
    ls_sort-spos = 1.
    ls_sort-fieldname = 'Give the field name that you do the sum'.
    ls_sort-up = 'X'.
    ls_sort-subtot = 'X'.
    APPEND ls_sort TO lt_sort.
    fieldcatalog-do_dum = 'X'.
    for subtotals
    WA_SORT-FIELDNAME = 'ERSDA'.
    WA_SORT-SPOS = '2'.
    WA_SORT-UP = 'X'.
    WA_SORT-SUBTOTAL = 'X'.
    APPEND WA_SORT TO IT_SORT.

  • Shrink the space between rows in a report

    hi all,
    As the subject says, I am trying to shrink the space between rows in a report so that there is no space between rows when i print it. Does anyone know how to do this? Do I need to make a custom report template for it?

    The space between rows in a report in Apex is frequently determined by the cellpadding and cellspacing attributes of the TABLE tag that makes up the innermost report area, but there also other factors that may affect the resulting area, so one has to look at the specific case and see what is determining the final result, bearing in mind that it's quite possible that two browsers will display the same thing differently.
    At any rate, spacing is normally controlled by fine-tuning margin and padding properties in CSS.
    As CSS stylesheets, as per their name, are applicable in cascade, you can add your own CSS stylesheet in the page header (after the built-in ones).
    If you are using Firefox (with Firebug add-on installed) or Chrome or Safari, you can easily experiment with these properties and see the effects by temporarily setting or unsetting certain values and when you are satisfied, you can copy the resulting definitions into your stylesheet.
    The fact you want to make some adjustments only when printing can be solved by means of the @media rule inside the stylesheet or by linking different stylesheets depending on the value of the media attribute in the LINK tag or by dynamically pointing to different stylesheets depending on whether Apex is rendering the page in printer-friendly mode or not.

  • Can I "count" the number of rows excluding the header and footers

    I have some tables that consist of a different number of rows, as the number is part of an equation I need to know the number of rows excluding the header and footers. I have the work around in =ROWS(ColumnG)-3, but is there a tidier way? I want to be able to add footers (or headers) too and not have these counted.
    Many thanks
    Lee

    Hi Lee,
    Add a column to your table (for purposes of this discussion, the new column is placed before column C, and becomes the new column C). enter the formula below in all regular cells, but NOT in header or footer cells:
    =1
    Use the formula below, placed anywhere (except in a regular cell in column C) to get the number of non-header, non-footer cells:
    =COUNT($C)
    The first formula will automatically be placed in cells added to column C, and the results will change to reflect the added rows.

    Barry

  • Cannot read the next data row for the data set

    Hi,
    My report runs fine when I view in VS, data shows fine when I run the query in the data window, but when I publish it to the server, I get the above error. I am running SQL server 2005 RTM and I have re-deployed the entire solution.
    Any ideas?

    Hi All,
    Upon investigation found that there was an issue with converting varchar value to datatime datatype in Stored Procedure and that is why report was throwing error.
    I ran same report in BIDS and got clear error message
    An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
    Cannot read the next data row for the dataset xxx. (rsErrorReadingNextDataRow)
    The conversion of a varchar datatype to a datetime datatype resulted in an out-of-range value
    Once I corrected this, It is working fine.

  • XMLIndex: finding indexed XPaths and the number of rows in the path table

    Hi,
    I am storing non-schema-based binary XMLs in an XMLType column in 11g (11.1.0.6.0) and would like to index the XMLs either partially or fully using XMLIndex. I'm expecting to have a large number (tens of millions) of XML documents and have some concerns about the size of the XMLIndex path table.
    In short, I am worried that the path table might grow unmanageable large. In order to avoid this and to plan for table partitioning, I would like to create a report of all indexed XPaths in an XMLIndex and to find out how many times each path is actualized in the path table. I would do this for a representative XML sample.
    I have been creating XMLIndexes with different exclude/include paths, gathering stats with DBMS_STATS (estimate_percent = 100) and selecting the number of rows in the path table through USER_TABLES.
    If anyone knows a more straightforward way of doing this all advice is very much appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Rasko Leinonen

    Thanks Marco,
    I managed to get out all indexed paths using the following SQL. It took a while to understand how the join the XDB.X$PT39CW6BJR8W4VVE0G0LLGA0OCR5 and XDB.X$QN39CW6BJR8W4VVE0G0LLGA0OCR5 tables together but got there in the end. This helps to clarify which XPaths are being currently indexed by the XMLIndex.
    begin
    for v_row in (select PATH from XDB.X$PT39CW6BJR8W4VVE0G0LLGA0OCR5)
    loop
    declare
    v_i BINARY_INTEGER := 1;
    v_id raw(8);
    v_len BINARY_INTEGER := 2;
    v_skip BINARY_INTEGER := 1;
    begin
    while v_i < utl_raw.length(v_row.path) and
    v_i + v_len <= utl_raw.length(v_row.path)
    loop
    v_i := v_i + v_skip;
    v_id := utl_raw.substr(v_row.path, v_i, v_len);

    loop
    if rawtohex(v_row2.flags) = '01'
    then
    dbms_output.put('@');
    end if;
    dbms_output.put(v_row2.localname);
    if v_i + v_len < utl_raw.length(v_row.path)
    then

    end loop;
    v_i := v_i + v_len;
