Problem deploying plug-in archive file in 11.1.0.1.0
Hi,
I am trying to create a very simple plug-in in Grid Control. It has only one metric. I follow the steps to create the archive file, import it, and when I tried to deploy the archive, I got error message said: "At least one error has occurred. Refer to the Deployment Status page for more details". And the deployment status has: "Deployment operation failed on the agent with an error status". Where can I find more detail about this error?
I also tried to download and deploy the sample plug-in file and the apache Tomcat plug-in, both give me the same error. Is the plug-in works for 11.1.0.1.0 or is there any special patch I need?

I have the same setup as the OP, but I connected one ipad to the mac with the configurator so I COULD tap once, to see what it would do next. When I did, nothing happened. I also tried to step through the setup screens, but can't complete that before the configurator times out.
In answer to potential questions, I set them up as unsupervised because they're going to teachers. I just want to update iOS, set up the wireless, add a web clip that points to our student information system, and preload a couple of apps I think everyone should have. I don't want the teachers to not be able to sync to iTunes.
So what gives? I tells me to tap, but doing so does no good.
All the profile does is set up the wireless and load the web clip. The configurator will do the rest without loading a profile. Is loading a profile simply incompatible with not supervising the iPad?

Problem deploying an EJB that uses the JCE 1.2.1 api
We are deploying a JAR file containing all EJBs of our application on
Weblogic 5.1 SP4 and we're getting a DeploymentException (which is
fully included at the end of the message).
We have no problem deploying the same JAR file on WebLogic 5.1 SP8.
We have isolated each EJB, so that one EJB is pack into is own JAR
file. We were able to deploy all EJBs but the one using the JCE 1.2.1
api.
Is there any issue using JCE 1.2.1 within an EJB under WL SP4 ?
As I mentionned earlier, everything works fine with SP8 ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Deployment Problem: Cannot update archive file
Hi!
I am trying to deploy an EAR for my Projekt "PegasusServerApp". The Application had been deployed on the server before but I removed it using remove_app on a telnet client. (and it is really gone! at least I cannot see it anymore in the visual administrator nor in the telnet client)
Another attempt to deploy the (re-worked) Application fails with com.sap.engine.deploy.manager.DeployManagerException: com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.DeploymentException: Cannot update archive file PegasusEJB.jar
What makes me suspicious is a detail from the deployment log: Update: Selected development component 'PegasusServerApp'/'isenergy.de'/'localhost'/'2004.12.02.19.02.19' updates currently deployed development component 'PegasusServerApp'/'isenergy.de'/'localhost'/'2004.12.02.11.18.52'.
Why is it "currently deployed" when I removed it before?
Has anyone an idea what goes wrong?

It appears that the problem is related to some resources within the PegasusEJB.jar: almost all resources like .xml files are neatly located unter rsrc/de/isnenergy/pegasus/... where they can be found by their corresponding classes. The classes have packages like de.isenergy.pegasus.... . Some resources, however, are located under rsrc/icons and there is no package icons. (don't ask me how they are found)
this may be the reason! When I remove the icon-resources, I can deploy my EAR.

Problems deploying par file via Netweaver Developer Studio
Hello,
I have problems deploying a par file using the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio.
In the SNWDS i configure the following:
Window -> Preferences -> SAP Enterprise Portal
Alias: IEP
Host: khz059
Port: 52900
Login: Administrator
Description: Testportal
The logon Url of the portal is http://khz059:5290052900/irj/portal
If i try to upload a par file via "Quick PAR Upload" i get the error messages:
"Unable to connect to the portal
Operation failed: Please make sure the server 'IEP' (khz059:52900) is running or check the log (sap-plugin.log) for more detail."
Am I using the proper settings? Am I using the wrong port?
I don't know whats wrong.

I think you must have selected the defualt checkbox (Try and uncheck that). Also uncheck the checkbox for "<i>Yes, I want to remeber the password for deployment</i>" if it is also selected. When you deploy the par file now enter the password and try to deploy. I think this will solve your problem.
Apart from this, try this methos of deploying the Par file.
1) Save you project. Right click it and "Quick par Upload".
2) On your browser type
"http://<your_server_name>:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/"
Your case:
<i>http://khz059:52900/irj/servlet/prt/portal/</i>
or same page you can get by navigating:
System Administration-> Support-> Portal Runtime-> Administration Console.
3) At the option "Please specify a Portal Archive file (PAR) and press "upload" to store it into the PCD." Deploy your par file by giving the path.
Now you file is deployed on the server. If you want to create an Iview from this deployed .par file then :
1) On your portal. Follow the path: Content Administrator-> Portal Content -> Portal Content(sub-option). Right click -> New from par ->iView.
2) Here in the list you will find the par file which you have uploaded. Proceed as said.
3) You will finally have an iView. Right click it and preview it.

I Trying to deploy a simple J2SE app by making an Executable JAR File, however I don'r understand how to add a valid value to the Main Class field.
I followed the following description within Jdev, after creating a Deployment Profile:
Deploying an Executable JAR File
You can make your simple archive or J2EE Client Module into an executable JAR file that you can launch with the java command.
To deploy an executable JAR file:
1) Select and right-click the simple archive or client icon in the Navigator to display the context menu.
2) Choose Properties.
3) Click JAR Options in the tree.
4) Select Include Manifest File (META-INF/MANIFEST.MF).
5) In the Main Class field, enter the fully qualified name of the application class that is to be invoked.
7) Click OK.
8) Launch the executable JAR file from the command line:
java -jar myapp.jar
where myapp represents your JAR file name.

But now another probem has occured, since I get the following error when run the jar-file (When I run the app from within Jdev there are no warnings or errors).

It's the same problem in all three exceptions (the exactly the same code), however I was a bit to quick this is the line (the line before I process the xml doc :-)

Problem in Archiving File From FTP Server to XI File Server Using FCC
Hi,
The scenario is file to IDOc. XI has to read the input file from client FTP server and archive it to XI local file server. Archiving on XI server is working fine without FCC (for xml files). But with FCC, the sender FTP adapter is archiving empty files (0 kb files).
I've checked SXMB_MONI, even there I can see the file data and the IDoc is getting posted with proper data. But, the archived file is empty. Not sure about the problem.

Specify how empty files (length 0 bytes) are to be handled.
○ Do Not Create Message
No XI messages are created from empty files.
The files are processed according to the selected Processing Mode.
For example, if the processing mode is Delete, empty files are deleted in the source directory.
○ Process Empty Files
XI messages are created with an empty main payload.
The files are processed according to the selected Processing Mode.
○ Skip Empty Files
No XI messages are created from empty files.
Empty files are skipped and remain in the source directory.

Problem in Deployment as Exploded archive
Hi All,
I am really saturated working on above. currently My application deploy as single .ear file. I need to deploy my application as exploded archive. for the same I have changed my deployment scripts which explode my ear file and .jar file inside .ear file in the applications dir of my domain. I also install weblogic as service. so then when I start the weblogic, it has got exception while deploying EJBmodule.

If someone has step-by-step process of deploying ear application as exploded in production please send it to me. I will be very thankful.

2. when workshop build the application, where all classes are stored on server (in devlopment mode)Did you find my experiments with the Oracle AS at http://blogs.sun.com/marcoscorner? Look at the navigation bar to fina all the pieces;-)

JohnThe files included with a plug-in all serve very specific purposes, as such there's not a lot of flexibility in what you can deliver with the plug-in. The only real spot where you do get some flexibility is with the scripts you deliver with the plug-in. Those have their own directory structure:
AGENT_SCRIPTS_DIR/emx/<target_type>/
You can put files into this directory, but you wouldn't be able to create more directory structure under that directory. -
Problem deploying JDeveloper files
Hi, I'm new to jdeveloper, and i'm having some problem deploying the applets that the wizard makes, i deployed the files into a zip and when i unziped them, the html file that was in the zip keeps comming up with can't find package.test.class (package is the name of my package and test is teh name of my applet), can anyone help me? thank you.

The HTML file references the class file
that must be found on the CLASSPATH.
You may want to experiment with AppletViewer
until you figure it out. Remember your
CLASSPATH must point to a directory whose
SUB-DIrectory is named package
I am assuming your file is named Test.java
and the output will be Test.class!You may also want to use a batch file included
in the [JDeveloper]\bin directory called
SetVars.bat which sets up such information
for you when you are in a CMD shell.

I'm not seeing the same behavior when I try it here. You can use
the command line utility loadjava (which is basically all the
JDeveloper Deployment Wizard is doing as you can see from the
output).
For example:

Problem deploying a War file to server
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy my war file a simple servlet program given by Google Webtookit to my Resin server v2.1.13.
I created a war file and dropped it into the webapps folder. When I try to launch the application, I get the following error. My class is in the right directory, I am able to launch it on my local resin server on my machine. When I try to deploy it onto a 3rd party server, is when I get the error. I have checked my web.xml file and made sure they are pointing correctly to the class I want it to point to. Where am I going wrong?

Resin 2.1.13 (built Thu Apr 1 10:57:42 PST 2004)I am trying to deploy my application on Lunarpages. (not the best support in the world). They have Resin v 2.1.13 running on their end. I have tried everything I know, but the classpath is still an issue. I have even printed out the list of classpath through my code and everything seems to be right. I can deploy the same war file on any server Tomcat, Jetty, Resin 3.x (my local), but just not on lunarpages. I am stumped. Please help.

Problem archiving file using FTP adapter
Hi,
I am polling some files from another server using FTP adapter in SOA 11g. Even though I have checked the option to archive the files, the files get archived successfully on the server where the SOA process is running, but I am unable to archive the files on the server from which I am reading the file
I am not sure whether this is the default behaviour or is there any way to archive files on the same server from which I pick or read the file.

Problem deploying bc4j.xcfg files
Dear all,
I created a project with business components inside JDeveloper (version 9.0.2.829). During the deployment the bc4j.xcfg files are not stored properly into the generated jar files. The bc4j.xcfg file is always empty although the file on the output directory is correct.
What am I doing wrong?

Deployed Application Missing JSP files
I have deployed an web appliclation Using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 to a remote Oracle AS When I look at the Deployed Application on the Server I only see the Servlet, the JSP files are missing. I looked at the .ear and .war files and the have all the components in them but the JSPs seem to be missiong from the server. I did not get any error messages from the deployment log

The only odd thing I can see is that UNDEFINED statment in the log.
I followed the recipe for Deployment from the tutorial so I don't understand why the JSPs are missing.I have two version's of JDeveloper running on my machine when you pointed out to me that I was using 10.1.3.0 I downloaded 10.1.3.5 and used it instead. However we still have a problem. One our test and production machine we are running Oracle AS 10.1.2 with Java SDK 1.4. Now the documantation says that this supports JSP runtime 2.0 and Servlet Runtime 2.4. My problem is I still have to get this working for Oracle AS 10.1.2 with Java SDK 1.4. Here's what happens when I deployed to that environment.
