PROBLEM IN ATTACHMENT OF ANY WORD FILE IN P.O ( T-CODE- ME22N)

Dear cons
I created a p.o . In this P.o I attached one word file . Then I released the p.o with the help of ME29N.After one week some body has deleted the attachment file & attached another file which was not a appropriate file. Without unreleasing how the system is allowing to change the attachment file.Is there any setting available so that it will not allow to change the attachment file.

  • Problem in attaching an MS word document

    Hi All,
I have to send a <b>'.Doc'</b> file as attachment.
First I save the contents in a database table by uploading through BSP-upload in the form of <b>xstring</b>.
    Now I perform following steps:
    1. read them with a 'Select' statement
    2. convert them from <b>xstring to stri</b>ng
    3. fill the parameter <b>'contents_bin'</b> of the function module: <b>'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'</b>
    4. set <b>transf_bin = 'X'</b> and <b>doc_type = 'DOC'</b>.
    5. send mail by calling the same FM.
    Now, my problem is:
If the uploaded file is '.Txt' , then the receiver gets attachment perfectly.
But if the uploaded data is '.Doc' then the attachment has some coding type text, not the original contents because of some <b>conversion  error</b>.
    Now my question is:
what <b>'CODDEPAGE</b>' should I use in conversion from Xstring to String so that I may avoid that error.
    Currently i am using:
    CALL FUNCTION <b>'HR_KR_XSTRING_TO_STRING'</b>
      EXPORTING
       FROM_CODEPAGE       = <b>'8400'</b>
        IN_XSTRING          = xcontents
    IMPORTING
       OUT_STRING          = contents
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pragya

you dont need to convert xstring to string. you should convert xstring to binary
use the following code for the same.
    data: xl_content type xstring .
    DATA: binary_content     TYPE solix_tab.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
            EXPORTING
              buffer     = xl_content
            TABLES
              binary_tab = binary_content.
now you can pass the binary_content to your email FM
Looks like you are on WAS, in such a case use CL_BCS class for email. they are much easier to handle and very flexible.
let me know if you need help with CL_BCS

  • Permission Problems - Can't open MS Word files shared on Mac Desktop

This is a problem I haven't experinced before.
All of our computers are shared on a local network. For some reason I'm having problems sharing and opening files between my PC and Mac. I can share a file with the PC from the Mac without issues, but can't open files without manually changing the permissions for every single file from the PC to the Mac.

  • Having problems: can't open an html file with textedit to change code

Hi. I have been trying to open up both my index.html and my Welcome.html files with textedit in order to change the HTML codes for them - but it doesn't seem to work. When I open them using text edit I still get a discomboblutaed form of the web page and no html codes. HOWEVER when I open them with Word I can get at the HTML code. Will changing the code in Word work or must I use textedit to do it? ULtimately does anyone know how to fix the fact that your web URL always gets redirected to the home page because of the index file. For Instance, my web site is www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com but when you type that in it redirects to the opening page www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com/Home.html which is a problem for when you want to submit your web site to be found on the net. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Cheers!

Give TextWrangler a try. It's a free editor by the makers of BBEdit and is very well suited for editing HTML.
But as far as your URL in the window, unless you have URL forwarding with masking you will always get the page name at the end of the URL in the browser's window. That's just how it works. With masking you will only get www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com in every window of the site. BUT visitors will only be able to bookmark the first page of your site. My tutorial site, http://toadstutorials.info/ is set up that way.
This thread discusses how the different domain name forwarding works:

    Hi ArS,
    Thanks for your reply.
I am not familiar with SWO1.
I did try to copy an existing object ype 'ADDRESS' to ZADDRESS.  On the following screen:
    Object Type      ADDRESS
    Program          RSSOOT02
    Object name      Address
    Object Type      ZADDRESS
    Program          ZRSSOOT02
    Object name     ZAddress  .
When I checked there were no inconsistencies. But when I  test I get the following:

  • Any way to convert my MS Word files so I can view them in Lion?

Upgraded to Lion, then found that I couldn't open any Word files.
My Word app is a PowerPC app, which I migrated from my old Power Book G4.
I'd just like to be able to view them in Rich Text Format.

OS 10.9 Mavericks will let you download OpenOffice, but the OS won't let you run it. You get a message that says it won't open because it's not from a trusted source. It's not in the App Store.
I found I could open old PPC MS Word '98 files on my 2006 Core Duo MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8. That OS has Rosetta which will run PPC apps, and even when running an Intel version of MS Word on that machine, the files would open. So you don't actually need to run the PPC app.

  • Cross references from a word file

I've already read on this forum Indesign (CS6) has problems with cross references in Word files. (I mean dynamic references like "see page/paragraph/chapter x".) Whenever I see them, I just delete them in Word and update them manually in the final draft. (By the way, as a standard, I save Word files as Word 97-2003.)
The problem is (luckily, I should say), this Word feature is hardly used, so for the book I'm working on, I forgot to check.
I only noticed when I had worked for a full day on it in Indesign. The next day I could't open the Indesign file anymore. Well, **** happens, so I started anew. Next day, same problem, so I contacted the Adobe helpdesk; they couldn't reopen the file either.
Third try. Now I made copies before closing the document, first testing if I could reopen them. I already had guessed these cross references were the problem. They appeared as a tiny blue double dot in the text (a bit like the upper half of the marking for index codes). I couldn't find a way to search for them, so I searched the Word file for field codes and removed them manually in the Indesign file. All of them, I thought.
I closed it and reopened it a few times, no problem. No need to check anymore and first make a copy, I thought. I sent a pdf of the first draft to the author, processed his corrections, closed the document.
The next day I couldn't reopen it.
Now I'm not the kind of guy that gives in too easily, but before I start doing this book for the fourth time, I would like to be sure it will be the last time. So:
    -     Is there a way to reopen this InDesign file?
    -     Is there a way to search for these corrupted (?) reference codes in the Indesign file? (I still have a 80% ready copy of the Indesign file I can use.)
    -     Will removing all of these codes be the final solution,or should I remove the codes in the Word file and start completely anew? Of course that wouldn't make me very happy.

The version is 8.0.1, I always update when I'm prompted to do so by the update centre. As far as I know it is an international version.
Still, I would guess the InDesign developers could tell me something about that ':' marker. I suppose the software didn't invent it itself.

  • Getting Spotlight to look inside Word files

    Hi,
I'm trying to get Spotlight to search the contents of Word files on one of my machines running Tiger (10.4.11). It works fine on one machine (fresh install of Tiger), but the one I want it to work on doesn't return any Word files on the same search. I've looked in system.log for error messages, but don't see any.
How do I get Spotlight to search inside Word files on a machine running Tiger that was upgraded from Panther to Tiger?
Also, is there any way to customize Spotlight to tell it to search just Word files in a given directory tree?
Thanks for any tips or ideas!
    Ed

    Hi BDAqua,
I looked into my problem more closely, comparing a typical search for a string that's only inside a specific Word file on two different G4s, both running the same version of Tiger and Spotlight. One machine was fine, returning the one and only file that had the string in the contents of the Word file. The same search on the problem machine returned other files in the search results, but not the one expected.
Turning to the issue of permissions, I note for others who may read this, that a full, clean install of Tiger on a new disc will, by default, result in each $USER belonging to a group with the name $USER. Whereas an upgrade install of Tiger on a machine that, prior to the upgrade, was running either Jaguar or Panther, will result in each $USER belonging to a group called "staff". This was the default setup on earlier versions of Darwin that has since changed under Tiger.
I changed the group from $USER to staff for my test Word file on both machines. No changes. Spotlight doesn't seem to mind, as I expected, the change of group from $USER to staff.
Then, based on your comment about Spotless, I downloaded and installed Spotless. Again no change. BUT, I started thinking about the indexing of files that Spotlight relies upon.
I then ran across Main Menu which allowed me to force a re-indexing of Spotlight. That did it! My test search then worked fine on the problem machine.
Thanks again for your help and getting me to think thru the problem.

  • Cant open word files from mac side

    hi all
have just installed windows 7 and the office suite and all seems to work fine until i try and open any word files that are located in my mac partition. it suggests that i need to open and repair but this doesnt solve the problem. i can open excel and pdf files however. do i need to change permissions or is this something that is not possible to do.
    many thanks for any help
    craig

I'm having the same problem also. I can't open any office suite files (word, excel...). I think the problem has to do with the os x partition being read-only. When I copy and paste the office files from the os x partition onto the windows partition and open the document, everything works. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Retrieve all items in a list by caml query then write it to a word file page by page

    Dears,
    Greetings
I have some code which will retrieve all items of a list with caml query.
Now i want to generate a word file with all these retrieved data. I am using foreach here to get all the items in a SPListItemCollection. Now my question is how i can write all the retrieved items inside the word file?
see the below code which is writing only the last row item of the SPListItemCollection inside word file. I want to write all the retrieved rows inside this word file.

    Hello,
you can try with OpenXML SDK to create word file. I found one link for your reference:

  • Can't open word files

Ok, so I have tried every way of opening it under the sun, but I only get this message:
The document “French Booklet.doc” couldn’t be opened.
I opened it in textedit, and I can see it fine, but Pages seems to not want to open any word files.
Anyone seen this before? Know how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance

Make sure your iWork applications are updated. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

  • Pages 2 won't open Word files

I tried to open a Word file in Pages 2 and while Pages tried to open it it failed and crashed. Now Pages 2 will not open any Word file and constantly comes up with the error message 'Import error. An unknown error occurred.' Sometimes it crashes as well. The Word file will open fine in Word, Pages 1 and TextEdit. Pages 2 exports as Word but the files will not open in Pages 2. I've trashed preferences but to no avail.
    Any ideas?
For what it's worth the upgrade to Pages 2 was not worthwhile for me as the features I really need are not there.

Some Word documents do crash Pages leading to a “this application quit unexpectedly” error message. This tends to be the case with longer documents (over 30 pages) with some formatting such as headings, TOCs and some simple graphics, especially if they are embedded in the header/footer. Stripping out the graphics sometimes helps, but the only sure-fire way to remedy the crashes is to open the document in Word, OpenOffice or such like and save it as an .rft. This is the only way I can get Pages 2 to play ball.
In my case this does not seem to have anything to do with the installation, as reinstalling does not change the programmes behaviour.
    Cheers,
    Reb

  • I want to convert a word file to a PDF

I want to convert a Word file to a PDF file. I can't get past the page that states choose the file I want to convert. Nothing happens when I select the word file I want to convert

    Hi larryjohn,
I'm sorry that you're having trouble converting your Word file to PDF. Does it happen with just one particular Word file, or are you running into the same issue with any Word file?
For starters, please try the following:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser)
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the internet.
Lastly, if the issue persists after the steps above, please try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/
Please let us know how that goes, and if we can be of further assistance.
    Best,
    Sara

MS Office for Mac does not really support Arabic.  But you may just have a font problem.  Disconnected letters means a Windows font is being used.  Change the font to a Mac font like Geeza Pro.
For better Arabic support, try OpenOffice.
