Reading system profile parameters programatically in ABAP

Hi,
Does anyone know how to read system profile parameters like icm/host_name_full using ABAP?
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Erick

You can use the following code to get the values.  Really it is just reading a file which is stored on the application server.
report zrich_0001.
types: begin of tpar,
       status type sy-index,
       name(60) type c,
       user_wert(60) type c,
       default_wert(60) type c,
       end of tpar.
data: par_usub type table of tpar  with header line.
data: par_sub  type table of tpar  with header line.
call 'C_SAPGALLPARAM' id 'PAR_USUB' field par_usub-*sys*
                      id 'PAR_SUB'  field par_sub-*sys*.
loop at par_usub.
  write:/ par_usub-name(30), par_usub-user_wert(20),
          par_usub-default_wert(20).
endloop.

  • WD ABAP - Reading the URL Parameters for FPM application

    Hi,
    As per the Custom requirment,
I want to pass URL parameters for WD ABAP application (sap/bc/webdynpro/dbm/app_veh_cus_search) which uses FPM.
    example: sap/bc/webdynpro/dbm/app_veh_cus_search?Customer=12345&fromExternal=true
I am facing difficulty in reading the URL parameters.
How to read/get the URL Parameters for an FPM WD ABAP application????
    Observation:
I tried reading the parameter in Window --> HANDLEDEFAULT method. But could NOT read the Parameters from here for FPM application whereas if I create a Z Custom application then I could read the URL Parameters. so the issue is in reading the URL Parameters for FPM application.
    Kindly support
    Regards,
    Hussain

    Hi Hussain,
You can do this either with the methods of interface if_fpm_parameter...
DATA lo_param TYPE REF TO if_fpm_parameter.
    lo_param = cl_fpm_factory=>get_instance( )->mo_app_parameter.
    CALL METHOD lo_param->get_value
        EXPORTING
            iv_key   = parameter_name
        IMPORTING
            ev_value = parameter_value.
or a more generic approach using class cl_wd_runtime_services...
    cl_wd_runtime_services=>get_url_parameter

    Hello @larrycarol99,
I understand that after upgrading your computer when you plug in an ethernet cord you get a hardware malfunction error. I am providing you with a Microsoft Support document: Hardware Malfunction Results in System Error Message that explains what causes that error and provides steps on fixing it. I am also including a link to the Compaq Presario 5300US Desktop PC Drivers page, which unfortunately does not have any drivers for your computer running Windows Vista.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • 45W adapter reading as 50W in system profiler

    Hi,
When using my 45W adapter, I've noticed that in my system profiler, under AC Charger Information, it says "AC Charger (Watts): 50." Does anyone know if this is normal, or if perhaps this could be causing my battery's full charge capacity to be diminishing?
Like many people, I've had problems with my battery losing power quickly, but Apple just sent me a new one yesterday, which within the day went from having a full charge capacity of 4400mAh to 4296. Can anyone tell me if this could be related to my "50W" adapter?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
Can't help with why it's seeing 50, however, for your new battery, while Apple says you need to full charge/completely discharge it once for the lithium battery to know it's full capacity, most lithium batteries require two to three charge/discharge cycles to calibrate.

  • After 10.7.2.update cannot see SD card reader in usb drive. Used to appear on desktop and start iPhoto but now nothing happens. It is recognised by system profiler (usb hub), but cannot find it anywhere.

After 10.7.2. update cannot see SD card reader in usb drive. Used to appear on desktop and start iPhoto but now nothing happens. It is recognised by system profiler (usb hub), but cannot find it anywhere. Any ideas?

Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

  • Why does my CPU speed read "O" in System Profiler?

My System Profiler reads "O" for CPU speed, even though I have a 1.8GHz Giga Designs upgrade.
The computer runs fine, it just really bothers me...
Though I have heard of people having trouble running certain software when this problem occurs. By the way, I have reset the PRAM, and inserted a new battery as well, problem persists.

Thanks! I love this discussion group... 8-)
Err...what is MDD? Guess I don't really need to know, just need to upgrade my Mac. Please don't feel a need to explain if it's complicated.

    Hi Tommy,
you could try reseting your PRAM to see if that makes any difference, as this holds your systems parameters. You shouldn't hurt your Mac by resetting them.
To reset PRAM hold down AppleAlt+PR on startup until it chimes 3 to 5 times then release.
    Also...
Let the Mac boot after a PRAM reset then restart to reset your Open Firmware which may also help. At Startup hold AppleAlt+OF then type at the light grey screen (all without speech marks) "reset-nvram" then press return key. Then type "rest-all" then press return key again. Then type "mac-boot" press return to exit.
These command may help you they may not, but they shouldn't hinder you in any way. But if you are in any doubt about these commands by all means research them further on the Apple website or just ask for a second opinion.
    Regards.

  • IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile

    Hello Experts,
Currently i am working on an IDOC to file scenario, in which Data will be sent from ECC server (IDOC) to an FTP server via SAP PI, but when i try to send IDOC to PI, i am getting the following error
    in Transaction SM58:-
'IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile for system XID and
client 401 occurred in the IS pipeline' .
Can anyone please help me on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Naik

    Hello Experts,
Let me explain to you the whole scenario, We have two servers of PI, 7.1 & 7.0. Now the Java Stack of 7.0 is not working & Cache update of 7.1 is not happening.
Thats why we have linked ABAP stack of 7.0 with Java stack of 7.1. Now we can see the objects created under Java 7.1 in ABAP stack of 7.0 (SXI_CACHE).
Now we have done all the settings to create an IDOC to file scenario. All the RFCs are working fine, but when we send an IDOC from the ECC system to ABAP 7.0, we are getting the following error 'Error while reading exchange profile for system NW' in SM58 .
Now can anyone tell me what exact settings i have to change in the Exchange profile (Java stack of 7.1), so that the Java 7.1 & ABAP 7.0 connection is setup or do i need to change anything else.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Naik

  • Profile parameters

    Hi all ,
my system showing one warning .Actually i am having ECC with Abap. When ever I was entering the RZ10 t code and click on to the display ,create or any button it showing this warning "there is no any profile parameters".can you suggest to me how can i add profile parameters i mean default profile parameters.
    regards ,
    sai

    you can set profile parameters....
SAP profiles are operating system files that contain instance setup information. The profiles are stored under /usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile directory.
The following three types of parameter files are defined in SAP:
    u2022 Default -DEFAULT
    u2022 Start profile - START_DVEBMGS00_
    u2022 Instance profile - SID_DVEBMGS00_
These parameters are used for setting the system parameters. These parameters can be maintained by the transaction u2018RZ10u2019 or through the menu:
    CCMS ->Configuration ->Profile maintenance
    For creating a new profile:
    1. Execute transaction u2018RZ10u2019
    2. Specify the name of the profile that is to be created and choose Profile -> Create. The system creates the version number automatically.
    3. Enter a short description of the profile, the filename into which the profile should be activated, a reference server and the profile type. Then choose Copy.
    4. You can maintain parameters and their values by flagging either Basic or Extended maintenance and choosing Maintain.
    5. Once the changes are made, choose Copy to return to the initial screen of Transaction RZ10.
    6. Then check, save and activate the profile that has been created
    7. After this the instance has to be restarted
and also use the links which i provided in my previous post.
    regards,
    Pradeep

  • Can you trust System Profiler? Check this out.

Looking at the system profiler i was concerned about my battery capacity so i installed Coconut battery to check it as well.
Look at this screen grab and see if you can spot the problems.
    http://www.jonspeed.com/batt.jpg

Well, beyond the discrepancy in battery parameters, I'm trying to figure out how you got version 2.3 of Coconut Battery? From what I can tell by visiting both the VersionTracker page and the developer's site (http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/index.html), Coconut Battery is currently at version 2.2.
    What's up with that?

  • IPod not recognized by iTunes & Disk Utility - Recognized by System Profile

I have a 40GB iPod Clickwheel (4th Gen?) that i'm trying to fix back to life since my mini was just stolen and i'm out on the road on tour all the time. my iPod actually powers up by itself just fine, the battery life is just peachy, and it can run independently without songs (i'm able to look around just as though i had songs on there - i can play games, alter settings, etc etc.).
    However, there's a few things i've noticed!
When i go to the iPod's about menu (when disconnected from the computer), it shows there's no songs, that there's 0 capacity, 0 available - shows that the version is 3.1.1, the serial and model numbers, but the format is unknown.
I've tried plugging the dang thing into my computer to much avail - IF iTunes recognizes it, it says it needs to be restored -- GREAT! so i try to restore the iPod, however, i almost instantly get an error: The iPod cannot be restored because it is currently busy. When i clicked the help tag, it says it's a common problem in iTunes 7.0 - great, i have 8.0.2; and i've tried running everything from a restart on the ipod to a restart on the computer, updating all my system files, running the iPod in disk mode, etc, but nothing seems to make it want to restore.
when i look in system profiler; it shows that the iPod is hooked up to my USB port (which is just fine, and i've never had problems running a click-wheel iPod through that before); however both Disk Utility and iTunes do not acknowledge it's existence. what gives?
is my iPod a goner? how would i go about restoring this so i can use it? I've tried it on my Power PC (Specs below) as well as trying it on an iBook and iMac; with the same results every time. i know it's not the cable, because the iPod actually charged via that cable last night!
    any help!?

If you can get it to show up in Disk Utility, try reformatting (erasing) it in Disk Utility. If that process completes without stalling or errors, quit Disk Utility and run iTunes. Immediately attempt to do another Restore to install the iPod's software and initialize.
If the iPod does not erase successfully (it should take less than one minute for a standard erase) in Disk Utility, the iPod's hard drive may be faulty.
