Saving v8.2 .lvlib files in v8.6

I have a large project that was created in LabVIEW 8.2. If I save the .lvlib files from LabVIEW 8.6 (which is currently installed on my machine), I get multiple "Not a Path" errors when running the application.
The problem is that the .lvlib file is being changed in the following manner. The original .lvlib file contains lines such as <Item Name="Common_Commands.lvlib" Type="Library" URL="common/commands/Common_Commands.lvlib"/>. The updated file contains the following line: <Item Name="Common_Commands.lvlib" Type="Library" URL="../common/commands/Common_Commands.lvlib"/>.
The added ".." before the URL leads to invalid pathnames. This project includes several .lvlib files and this problem occurs whenever I save any of these. Is there a way to solve this problem without rewriting the code to remove the ".."?

Instrument.lvlib is contained within a project which encompasses several libraries and literally hundreds of VIs. I don't have a problem with any missing VIs if I save the project for v8.6. I have attached the VI where the error occurs. The problem is that <Not a Path> is passed to the Build Path function in the "No Error" case because the Match Pattern function (the one with the "URL=..." input) returns a non-existent path. This happens because, if I save the project in v8.6, the new .lvlib file contains URL values with ".." prepended to the correct pathname, as you can see by comparing the two .lvlib files I sent previously in a text editor. If there was a way to prevent the v8.6 library files from incorporating this "feature", everything should be fine.

Migrating reuse code to lvlib files... namespace conversion leading to inability to find VIs?

I am attempting to migrate my reuse code from llb files to directories, and in the process grouping code within lvlib files. All of the reuse code resides within my user.lib directory (which is in the search path). After this conversion process, which has resulted in VIs being in different physical locations and having their namespaces altered, my other code is unable to automatically find them? Is there an automated method for telling my programs how to find the new reuse code. If not, does anyone have any suggestions for where to start writing a program that could help with the conversion process? Note, none of the VI names have changed, but of course their logical namespaces have.

Maybe you can temporarily add the new locations and go back to the defaults once you have saved all the VIs with the new paths.

In trying to update I received this message: Firefox 3.6.3(2).dmg.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

In trying to download an update I first received: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because: No data was received (please try again)" It also gave a link to download manually. When I tried from the Firefox website I got: /Users/(deleted for privacy)/Desktop/Firefox 3.6.3(2).dmg.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator. I tried this 3 times.

In Mail, Contacts, Calendarts>Add Account
Add a MobileMe or Other?
If I choose MobileMe, it asks for my MobileMe account. If I enter that info, it tells me I already have that account set up, which I do.
So I clicked the Create Free Apple ID button on the same screen, below.
This goes to a New Apple ID page
I enter location and DOB
This goes to a New Apple ID page
I enter all of the information as required, then click Done
I get an error:
Cannot Create Apple ID
If you have an @me.com email address, sign in using your MobileMe password
This takes me back to where I started without a solution.

Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

This type of error is non-descript and could be caused by any number of things. It is impossible to troubleshoot from here based solely on that message. Let me ask a couple of questions, though:
- Are you using structured FrameMaker? If so, are you using a structured app that has worked successfully before? In other words, did this just suddenly start happening to an otherwise-stable process?
- Is there anything unusual about your layout; that is, anything other than a single text flow with graphics?

Cannot save webpage (.html file) because get error sayting that a " .js" file could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Any ideas where my problem is? Thx.

Every time I attempt to save a webpage (.html format) I get a message indicating that some .js-type file was not saved because the source file could not be read.
I did some "cleanup" of add-ons because there were so many. Is it possible I deactivated one that I need to read .js files, or could/would it be something else?

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

"ABC could not be saved, because the source file could not be read" error when downloading

Almost every time I download a file, the download gets to the end and then I get this error "<filename> could not be saved, because the source file could not be read", and then the download fails.
I checked my addons and they are not the problem. This doesn't happen when I try another Firefox profile. I tried several solutions offered in "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files" but they didn't help. It's not my antivirus.
I hate to start another profile because I have my current one just the way I like it.

You can check the file attributes of all the files in the Firefox Profile Folder to make sure that you have write permission.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

I tried to download and after a while, this error message: ''[filename] could not be saved because the source file could not be read.'' I've been on google searching but I could not find the answer can someone PLEASE help me. it happened when downloading a game and I've already seen a few times before but it was less important.

This problem isn't only happening with Firefox 4, for windows, as the System Details, and Tags indicate.
I'm using a Mac laptop (OS X 10.5.8 -- Leopard), using Firefox 6, and have been having this problem with large files for quite a while ... possibly since FF 4, but definitely with FF 5. The large files I've had the problem with are in the 500 - 900 MB range, and from commercial sites as well as most recently with a zip file containing photos from a friend which he uploaded to dl.dropbox.com ... attempted it numerous times, after trying the various suggested "fixes", and each time at around 255 MB, the download quits, with the error that file cannot be read from the server.
The various proposed solutions I've found on the web -- resetting the user configured options connected to downloads in FF config (about:config); deleting the compreg.dat file in the FF profile folder, don't pause the download (never have done this) etc.
Others have opined that the problem is flaky intermittent WiFi, or Security/Anti Virus software interfering with FF's accessibility to the file during the download; or a caching problem at one's ISP -- HOWEVER Safari doesn't experience this problem at all. Each time that I've experienced it in FF, I launch Safari, and can download the file completely without any errors.
Would really like to see someone from Mozilla respond to this ... lots of us are experiencing it.
Whatever happened to Netscape's ability to recover from download interruptions and resume a download at the point where it had been interrupted (like when a dial up modem dropped the line in the middle of the download) -- sure would be useful to see that feature come back in FF.
