Scroll up page

Hi,
I need to recreate apex builder feature in my own application: a small up arrow located in right up corner of many original regions that allows to scroll page up onclick.
The source code: <div class="rc-buttons"> <img src="/i/up_arrow.gif" alt="Top" class="pb" onclick="uF()"></div>
If I understand right I just need to place this image in button position #NEXT# of the region. How to do that? I tried to create image as a button but this triggers mandatory submit/redirect action.

for example you can put the up-arrow in your region-template, if you have multiple regions on your page you'll get an arrow per region (like it is in the apex builder).

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT: It appears this is a known incompatibility/conflict bug between current versions of Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus. Read more here:

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. More info: I have a JSP page that shows a database table. In
some condition I'd like to show the last row in the visible area
when page is loaded, so if the table is large i should scroll
the page programatically at loading time. How could i do that?

thanks for your response, let me repeat the question: how would an ipod user scroll a page at a time eg. 50 contacts/click, the next click would show the next successive 50 contacts, and so on....

I have choppy scrolling on pages with pictures

Lately I have slow and choppy scrolling on pages with pictures. I removed FLASH, fixed the .css file and disabled ALL Add-Ons but it did not help.
When I switch to the IE engine (with the Coral IE Tab addon) scrolling is smooth and nice.

I too had this problem after accidentally upgrading to 3.6.12. Ultimately, for me, the cure involved the following:
1. Options-Advanced-General Tab- un-check Use Smooth Scrolling
If this doesn't help, then also do the following
2. Disable Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant
This really resolved the issue-faster loading of pages and faster scrolling.

Why does Firefox not scroll the page when selecting & the cursor reaches the bottom of the screen

When selecting text on a screen page, when the cursor reached the bottom edge of the screen Firefox (9.0.1) does not scroll. Other programs (including IE) do so, so it does not appear to be a local computer problem.
I cannot see a setting on the options page that enables/disables this so what is the solution?

I also have problems with Facebook on my iPad 2. I don't do a lot with Facebook and generally only post on my feed page. Sometimes hitting return on the keyboard enters the comment, sometimes not. Sometimes the comment will show on my iPad but if I revisit that page I find that the comment has disappeared. So I'd say that Facebook and my iPad are not totally compatible with each other.
I looked into Friendly and was about to purchase this free ap. But before I did I went to the Friendly web page for more info. There I found a page with users comments. One after another users complained about bugs with Friendly. The developers claimed a fix was coming but the user comments complained about the lack of response and support. One of the fixes suggested by the developers was to log out of Friendly then log back in. One user complained that doing this three times in ten minutes was not very helpful. Because of this I decided to avoid Friendly.
I did find a Facebook developed ap but it was for the iPhone. I presume that iPhone aps will work on the iPad but I'll wait until Facebook releases an iPad compatible ap. If there is an ap developed by Facebook for the iPad that I missed please let me know.

How to I add more "scroll" or page to the bottom of the page.

While working on an iweb page, I started with a blank page and started building upon it.
After adding some photos to it some of the photos exist partially below the end of the scroll or page break. Other pages in my webpage seem to have more scroll room, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get the page to scroll more.
The pictures added do not seem to automatically make iweb add more room at the bottom of the page.

Some wording is still a little confusing in iWeb. The blog and podcast templates increase to accommodate entries automatically.

The down key doesn't scroll the page on some web sites. How can I make it scroll on all web sites?

Viewing these pages at suppose.mozilla.org in firefox 21, I can use the down key to scroll the down.
However, this is not true for some web pages. For example, github pages :

pressing the down key no longer seems to scroll the page down. I've not tested it, but I'm fairly sure I used to be able to scroll with just the keyboard.

Reading that 'scrolling with arrow keys no longer works' page, I notice that 'page down'. 'home' and 'end' also don't work - 'page up' works though.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

I have the new ipad and when I stretch the screen a horizontal line appears when I scroll whatever page or location I am on. The line is not there if the screen is minimised. Any solutions?

I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad. Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

Scrolling a page of content

I have paragraphs on a page and I want to make sure the user has scrolled the page before they are able to move on. Is there a way to do this in Coldfusion or do I have to do it another way? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by "able to move on"? Does user move on by clicking a button or link, or by submitting a form? In any case, there is one thing that is generally inadvisable for you to do: disable the browser forward or back buttons.

Upgraded to snow leopard, now safari scrolls a page down when space bar is hit and sometimes crashes. Any ideas for a fix?

I've had safari crash about 5 times tonight for no apparent reason. The delete key sometimes will act as a page back key. I really have no idea whats going on.
I've had keyboards go wacko on me before due to something being spilled on them or a wireless problem, but this keyboard is a wired keyboard and nothing was spilled on it. It's rather new and I'm quite certain it's not a keyboard issue.
No settings have been changed on the computer. The only thing different today from yesterday, is the fact that I upgraded to snow leopard.
Help would be pretty sweet.

I can no longer scroll through pages in Google Books.

Late last year I suddenly noticed I could no longer scroll through the pages of Google eBooks when visiting the site. I am forced to click the < and > arrows to toggle through the pages (and incidentally, before I noticed this, I had the option of arrow navigation or scrolling). This makes it difficult to use this particular Google product, and I am forced to move more and more of my activities to the Chrome browser.

Just adding my voice as well.
Had this issue for awhile now. Believe it must have surfaced after last iOS update.
Quite annoying since Genius was a good way to quick browse for new app suggestions.

Scroll One Page at a Time

Using InDesign CS5 version 7, on a mac OS10.6.8
I would like to be able to scroll through a document one page at a time using my mouse scroll wheel. In some other programs there is a setting to scroll "continuously" or "by pages" — in the latter, each scroll wheel click turns one page. Is there such an option with ID?
If not, how does one best scroll through a large document one page at a time?

If you want to simplify it a little more, you can use the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box in InDesign to edit the Previous Page and Next Page shortcuts so that you don't have to also press the Option key, just Page Up and Page Down.
I don't know if this applies to you, but I work with two-page spreads a lot and prefer to scroll by entire spreads at Fit Spread in Window magnification, so I take it a step beyond that and assign the Previous Spread and Next Spread commands to the Page Up and Page Down keys, respectively, so one key advances the entire spread.
