SSRS report throwing error :- system.web.aspnethostingpermission failed
Hi,
I am facing an issue with SSRS report after implementing HTTPHandler in its web.config file of Report manager.
My reports were working fine. I deployed a dll in report manager BIN folder and added below tag in the web.config
<add verb="*" path="*.aspx" type="ISHandler.SyncHandler, ISHandler" />
ISHandler is the assembly/namespace and SyncHandler is the class name.
I am getting error when I try to access the report
error :- system.web.aspnethostingpermission failed.
Currently web.config contains below settings.
<securityPolicy>
<trustLevel name="RosettaMgr" policyFile="rsmgrpolicy.config" />
</securityPolicy>
<trust level="RosettaMgr" originUrl="" />
Can you please help where the security permission is missing ?

I am unable to see that. Please check.

Hi,
I'm using Project Server 2013 and I'm not able to publish a workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013, I get this error:
System.InvalidOperationException: Operation failed with error Microsoft.Workflow.Client.ScopeInactiveException: Scope '/SharePoint/default/d7feb9ea-ccb2-4ec3-8f89-2a45b6cf3777' is not in an active state. Its current
state is 'Unregistering'. HTTP headers received from the server - ActivityId: c47ef567-8c54-4ae0-9a1a-1e4fb51320d8. NodeId: TestServer. Scope: /SharePoint/default/d7feb9ea-ccb2-4ec3-8f89-2a45b6cf3777. Client ActivityId : c6e5979c-20f8-e042-1f9d-2cb2a25d7f9e.
---> System.Net.WebExceptio
The thing is that I transferred the databases from a Prod.Env. to the Test Env. and from that moment on the Test Env. stopped working (only workflows), then I
was thinking that maybe the workflow is not working in the Test Environment because when I transferred the databases from Prod Env to Test Env I didn’t transfer the databases related to workflow, I only transferred:
WSS_Content
PWA_ServiceDB
But I didn’t transfer:
SBGatewayDatabase
SBManagementDB
SBMessageContainer01
WFInstanceManagementDB
WFManagementDB
WFResourceManagementDB
I didn’t transfer them because, before, when I transferred DB’s in version 2010, these DB’s were not needed, as the workflows were done using another method.
So, I tried to create a new workflow in the Test Env. but there is no way, I always get that error.
I've tried to Register again the workflow, and the result looks ok, but it doesn't solve the problem:
Register-SPWorkflowService
–SPSite "http://whatever/PWA"
–WorkflowHostUri "http://TestServer:12291"
–AllowOAuthHttp -Force
Do you know how to solve this issue or have an idea to give me some light?
Thank you for your help and regards,
José EspasesLooks like you haven't defined the WF scope or the site where you are trying to deploy the workflow to isn't included in the scope

WebI report throwing error when migrated from XIR2 to XI3.1
I have some webi reports built in BO XIR2 on OLAP universes (SAP BW3.5 based). Recently I have migrated the reports from old XIR2 environment to a new XI3.1 environment.
The specification of new system is as below:
BO XI3.1
SAP BW 3.5
No SP and FP is installed. (Actually when I tried to install the SP2, it failed)
After the migration, some of my reports are running for 5 minutes and then throwing an error like below:
A database error occured. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details. (WIS 10901).
The same report is working fine in old system.
Has anyone faced this problem yet?
RegardsHi Jacques,
The transports are already imported.
What I can see is if there is a query with only dimension objects and no measure, then that is throwing error in XI3.1. But the same query is running fine in XIR2.
Any Idea?
Thanks and Regards -
SSRS dataset throws error when another stored procedure is called inside dataset stored procedure
Hello;
I am using Report Build 3.0, I have a simple report which gets data using dataset which is created from a Stored Procedure. I have another stored procedure which updates the data in the table which is used for the report. I want to get the live data on report everytime
the report is run so that I call that stored procedure (sp_updatedata) inside my report dataset stored procedure and here where my report fails as it throws error while creating dataset.
Here is sample:
sp_updatedata (this only returns "Command(s) completed successfully"
Create Proce sp_getReportData
As
Begin
Exec sp_updatedata -- I call it to update the data before it displays on the report
Select * from customers
End
If I remove this line it works.
Exec sp_updatedata -- I call it to update the data before it displays on the report
Thanks
Essa MughalHi MESSA,
According to your description, you create a dataset based on a stored procedure. In this procedure, it calls another procedure. Now it throws error when creating dataset. Right?
In Reporting Services, when creating dataset, all the query or stored procedure will be executed in SSMS. So if the procedure can be executed in SSMS, it supposed to be working in SSRS. However, it has a limitation in SSRS. In a dataset, it can only return
one result set.
In this scenario, I don't think it's the issue of calling other procedure inside of procedure. Because we tested in our local environment, it works fine. I guess the sp_updatedata returns a result set, and the "select * from customers" returns
another result set. This might be the reason cause the error.

If you still have any question, please post the error message and the store procedure (sp_updatedata).

What is the application doing?
Iu2019m guessing you have a windows service application and you're trying to launch a UI (ie the viewer control) from the application or print using the vieweru2019s printing functionality programmatically(?).
If this is a Windows Service running under the local system account, then follow the instructions in the error message. (ie, bring up the properties of the service, go to the logon tab and check the checkbox that says u201CAllow service to interact with desktopu201D. At least that should allow whatever popup is trying to come up display properly.

Hi BI Experts,
I have an issue in the report output. The query is giving the data but the report is not showing the same.
when nonexisting values are given, report is throwing ERROR instead of giving blank page. Client is expecting blank page or dummy page with tables or headings etc but not the error message.
Please suggest a solution for this.
Let me know if anybody needs any other information regarding this.
Thanks in advance.you need to use no data found logic in order to get blank or any message saying no data found for that selected value.

Hyperlink to SSRS Report throws JavaScript Error
Hoping this is the right place to get help here. I'm not sure if this is an error in ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services or some compatibility issue between VS 2010 and VS 2013 Express for Web.
I have an ASP.NET web form written in VS 2010 / VB.NET. The form has three hyperlink controls that have NavigateURL properties that are set at runtime. Those URLs point to reports on a SQL Server 2005 Reporting Server. The app runs in our Intranet and we use
Windows authentication throughout. I am using the ASP.NET Development Server (Version 4.0.30319.18408) locally.
This app used to work just fine, but recently it broke. Now when I run my code and click the hyperlink control (IE is the default browser) I get a JavaScript error of monumental complexity/density.
The URLs work in IE. They work in FireFox. If I set FireFox to be my default browser it's opens fine from VS. But when I run it in IE I get the error.
When I click the Hyperlink, I get a messagebox saying "Javascript runtime error. Access is Denied." [Break] [Continue] [ Ignore]
Behind that, in Visual Studio, there's a 'Script Block [dynamic] tab open. It has a lock symbol on it and the window is FILLED with hugely dense and incomprehensible Javascript. If I break, I'm dropped into the code. The offending line is:
this.FieldFocus=function(a){var b="undefined"!=typeof LP?LP.getBrowser().selectedTab.linkedBrowser:null;if("undefined"==typeof LP||b){var c=b?b.contentDocument:document;if(c&&!("undefined"!=typeof c.FieldFocusDone&&!0==c.FieldFocusDone))if("undefined"!=typeof
c.LPlpUseLastPassLogin&&!0==c.LPlpUseLastPassLogin)lploggedin?(c.LPlpUseLastPassLogin=!1,LP.FieldFocus(a)):(lp_showNotification("UseLastPassLogin",b,0,"login",null),c.LPlpUseLastPassLogin=!1,c.LPlpm_setupFocusHandler=!1,c.FieldFocusDone=!1);
else{if(lpNotificationsAfterClick)lpCheckGenPwAndFF(b,c,!1);else if("undefined"==typeof c.LPlpgenerateandfill&&"undefined"!=typeof c.LPlpfillforms)lp_showNotification("FillableFormDetected",b,0,"formfill");else
if("undefined"!=typeof c.LPlpgenerateandfill)lp_showNotification("GeneratePassword",b,c.LPlpgenerateAids,"generate",c.LPlpgenerateForm,null,c.LPlpgenerateandfill,c.LPlpfillcurrent);else return;c.FieldFocusDone=!0}}};
Needless to say, I have no frickin' clue what this is. I'm new to web programming, so this is totally beyond my abilities.
Possible Factors:
Compatibility view is on for all Intranet sites, but turning that off makes no difference.
I recently upgraded from WinXP to Win7 64-bit.
I also recently tried loading the Web Project into VS 2013 Express.
I'm not sure which of these may be a factor, just thought I'd mention them.
Fix Attempts:
I tried removing my fancy code and just setting the correct URL in code. Error.
I created another hyperlink control, and in code I copied NavigateURL from the existing control to this one. Clicking that one WORKS. WTH?
Any help would be deeply appreciated, thanks.
BarryWell you can post a question in the ASP .Net forum and see if you can get an answer.
"The URLs work in IE. They work in FireFox. If I set FireFox to be my default browser it's opens fine from VS. But when I run it in IE I get the error. "
The above makes no sense to me. The URLs work in IE but when I run it in IE I get the error?
This makes no sense either "This app used to work just fine, but recently it broke" as apps don't just break. Something changes to cause an issue with them. Which systems did the app "break" on? What upgrades were recently done on those
systems?
When you opened the project in Visual Studio Express 2013 for web is that when the app broke? Maybe the app requires more than Visual Studio 2013 Express for web has available.
Was Visual Studio 2010 an Express edition for web? Or did it have more capability than that?
Did you load a newer version of IE on that system? As the WebBrowser control, from what I understand, uses the current rev of IE on the system as "The
WebBrowser control is a managed wrapper around a component installed with Internet Explorer. Use this property to determine which version of Internet
Explorer is installed. This is useful when your application uses a feature of Internet Explorer that is present only in certain versions. If the required version is not present on the local machine, you can provide alternative functionality or prompt the user
to upgrade". Maybe something there occured. Or do you use the WebBrowser control?
Is Visual Studio 2010 on the Win 7 64 bit machine? If so does that app not work in that too?
Did you compile the app to AnyCPU rather than X86 or X64 or try to compile it to one of the other two to see if that corrected the issue?
There's obviously something going on which you've not taken into account from a to b.
Please BEWARE that I have NO EXPERIENCE and NO EXPERTISE and probably onset of DEMENTIA which may affect my answers! Also, I've been told by an expert, that when you post an image it clutters up the thread and mysteriously, over time, the link to the image
will somehow become "unstable" or something to that effect. :) I can only surmise that is due to Global Warming of the threads. -
Hi,
I have a annoying issue : I created a SSRS 2008 R2 (SP Integrated) Report using report builder, I inserted it in a performance point dashboard and everything runs fine, on the SP Server. It means, when i'm accessing everything using local adress and
http protocol, it works fine. But once i'm accessing from my machine using SSL, the report is not displayed. I get first a warning asking me if I allow IE to display unsecure content, then the web part stays empty for a few second and finaly IE throws an "Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage" in the webpart. I've been trying to put the https URL of the report in the PP Dashboard Designer but I get an unable to connect error. What is suprising me is that I do not have this issue with the report
itself, it works perfectly on the server and on clients.
Knowing that it is forbidden to connect to the server with designer tools from the clients, I'm in a dead end...
Anyone had this kind of issue?
Thanks!
MaximeDo you generate a GUID error message with this error? I suspect the problem will be more on the access than the item itself.

Unable to connect to XL Reporter. Error! Server communication failed!
Hi Experts,
I am receiving the following error when starting XL Report in SAP
The VB Application identified by the event source logged this Application XL Reporter: Thread ID: 4232 ,Logged: Server sap01
The connect information provided in MetaInfo.xml is wrong.
(Please contact the administrator to run ChangeDbPassword)
Details: ixOpen - Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server (-2147217843)
Login failed for user 'sa'.
Can't connect to database Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Data Source='sap01';Initial Catalog='SBO-COMMON';User ID='sa';Password=*****
SYSTEM INFORMATION:
>>SAP 2007A SP01 PL06
>>Windows XP SP3, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 R2 >> happens on all machines
>>SQL Server 2005
>>.NET 1.1 & .NET 2.1 installed
>>MDAC 2.8 SP1 installed
THINGS I TRIED:
>>Changed sa login through XL Reporter ConnectionManager utility
--sa password works to get into SQL Server Management studio. As a test, I changed it back and fort to see if that makes a difference, but had no luck.
>>Made sure that SAP is logged into the actual server name (not local, also using sa login and not trusted connection)
>>Reinstalled SAP Client, SAP DI API, cleaned local temp folder %temp%
>>XRDBV table has SBOOEM in the Partner column
>>used SAP cleanup utility to delete bad entries from the registry (did this as a part of a reinstall process) >> based on SAP Note 1287193
Any ideas???
Thanks You!!!
Edited by: Stefan Genzor on Apr 13, 2011 12:56 AMHi Stefan,
We are having the same issue with a customer who has moved to a new terminal server environment. We cannot get the users to connect to the DB from there, but SAP is connecting with no issues.
We have exactly the same message & have run through the same steps.
Did you manage to get this resolved, and can you remeber how?

Hi All,
I am getting error "Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500"
in one of my Test Environment when trying to run the SSRS 2012 report from report manager.
Any clue why it is happening.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please VoteHi All,
Upon investigation found that there was no space (0 Byte is available) in E drive where underlying SQL DB is residing.
Once I cleared the space, report started working and above error was not displaying.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please Vote
