StageWebView not displayed in Flash Pro Air Mobile Simulator (if render GPU)

Hi guys - just wasted too much time with this - thought I'd mention it here - may help someone in future.
I've got a mobile app which uses StageWebView for a news/info page.
However my app is mainly graphics so I use GPU render mode.
When I test the app using the Air Debug Launcher (Mobile) the StageWebView is not displayed.
If I flip the render mode to Auto it shows just fine in the simulator.
Most importantly - GPU does work fine when deployed to the actual device.
I'm pretty sure this was not an issue a month or 2 ago (possibly an issue with current AIR version displaying StageWebView on desktop - I'm currently on 3.8.0.910 ( see  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1175722   ).

I had this issue on earlier versions of AIR. Don't know if this is will fix your problem, but for me it had to do with listeneres and additional calls happening before initating the webview. By moving "webview.stage = this.stage;" up before "webView.viewPort = new Rect...", it worked again.

  • IE does not display my flash movie

    Hello fellows, I am having a huge problem with MIE. It does
    not displays the flash object embed! Firefox works fine, but IE
    doesn't!
    Here are the codes:
    quote:
    Code made by me:
    <object width="757" height="153">
    <param name="movie" value="/script/top.swf"> <param
    name="quality" value=high>
    <param name="play" value=true> <param name="bgcolor"
    value=#0000000>
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
    <embed src="/script/top.swf" width="757" height="153"
    wmode="transparent">
    </embed>
    </object>
    The funny thing is that I use almost the same code to display
    another flash movie and it WORKS for the second!!! Why is that? The
    Firefox displays both of them fine.
    I tried a second code:
    quote:
    Code generated by Flash itself:
    <object
    classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" odebase="

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="

    </object>
    When I use the code above it returns to me an error on line
    215, but my file has only 196 lines! And if I count the included
    javascript, the possible lines are commentaries. The Firefox works
    fine.
    What is wrong with IE?
    See ya!

    "odebase"? should be "codebase"
    Use the tags generated by Flash when you publish to HTML and
    things should
    be fine. Don't try to do it yourself unless you are an expert
    (and even
    experts don't just typ in tags themselves .. they copy and
    paste from
    previous html they have that works)

  • AIR Mobile Simulator disappears when tracing to output

    This has been an issue for some time. When using the AIR mobile simulator to debug an app, if there are trace statements, the mobile simulator controls window disappears completely and cannot be interacted with. So you have no way to turn on the touch layer or simulate orientation change while debugging. Testing the movie (without debugging) does not exhibit the same behaviour. Last tested with AIR 16

    I had this issue on earlier versions of AIR. Don't know if this is will fix your problem, but for me it had to do with listeneres and additional calls happening before initating the webview. By moving "webview.stage = this.stage;" up before "webView.viewPort = new Rect...", it worked again.

  • Workflow: Flash Pro (AIR) to Flash Builder

    I would like to publish to AIR from Flash Pro, but program and debug in Flash Builder. When I use the work flow of starting in Flash Pro and then moving to a Flash-Pro-in-Flash-Builder project the only run/debug option seems to be a web application.
    Is my workflow as described possible or do I have to do the full Flash Pro -> .swc -> Flex Project -> AIR workflow?

    Well I found this on the Flash Player debug download page (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html):
    "10/3/11 - Updated debugger (aka debug players or content debuggers) and standalone (aka projector) versions of Flash Player 11.0 are available for Flash Builder 4, Flash Catalyst, Flash Professional CS4, and Flash Professional CS5 users"
    I tried installing the standalone player available there,  but after placing it in the proper Flash Pro CS5 directory at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5\Players, the standalone player launched by Flash Professional CS5 still won't work with FP11 Stage 3D content.  I still get the VerifyError:
    "Error #1014: Class flash.display3D.textures::Texture could not be found."
    I am using Away3D 4.0.
    Oh well.  Guess I'll just have to keep viewing it in the browser for now  :-(

  • Image does not display on MacBook Pro (does on PowerBook G4!)

    I created a slide in Keynote on my PowerBook G4 with an image dropped in (a pdf, I can't remember whether it was originally cut and past or dragged and dropped in). When transferring the Keynote presentation to a new macBook Pro (copying via a USB thumb drive), the presentation opens but the image does not display (everything else is OK).
    The weird thing is that the image does show up in the thumbnail in Navigator View. It disappears in Light Table View, and then is gone when I return back to Navigator View. However, when I close and reopen the file, it appears again in the thumbnail.
    When I click on the area where the image should be, the open squares show up around something. If I try to copy this object and past into another application (like Photoshop), I only get a blank image.
    I have managed to get around this by laboriously copying the affected images on my PowerBook into separate pdf files, then transferring those files to my MacBook Pro and dropping them into place. However, I know I will find a missing image at some later date, when I no longer have access to my old PowerBook.
    How to solve this problem?
    P.S. Both machines are running Keynote 4.0.2 and Mac OS 10.5.2.

    Thanks for taking a look!
    The original image was created using Photoshop to cut out an image from a pdf file. Then it was either cut and pasted or dragged into Keynote.
    Here are screenshots of what I get when I open the "droppedimage-17.pict" file (shown in the Show Package Contents window) using QuickTime on both machines. For the PowerBook:
    http://www.cems.umn.edu/download/attachments/Powerbook.png
    For the MacBook Pro:
    http://www.cems.umn.edu/download/attachments/MacBook_Pro.png
    Strangely, the Powerbook version looks like a correct grey-scale image, while the MacBook Pro looks like a B&W image.

  • Web Broswers not displaying certain Flash items

    For some odd reason, some flash items will not display in any of my browsers (Safari 4, FireFox, or Opera). YouTube videos work fine and Flash based games are okay, but videos and the music player from MySpace don't seem to load, and videos from Funny or Die won't load. It leaves a empty box where the video or the music player is supposed to be, and you can even right click it for the "Adobe Flash Player Settings," but it won't display what's supposed to be there. At first I thought it was a browser based problem, but when it stopped working for all my browsers I became concerned. I think I might have accidentally deleted something vital on my computer. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    I have similar problems with flash in all Browsers on one user account. I can watch videos on ted.com, but not diashow on flickr, like this one: http://www.flickr.com/search/show/?q=geektool
    Another account on the same machine works. Everything updated, cache cleared, Safari resetted.
    Every fail is logged: 20.11.09 14:18:51 com.apple.WebKit.PluginAgent[15378] Debugger() was called!

  • Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 is not displaying embedded flash video contents on Facebook and some other sites

    When I want to watch Flash videos embedded into Facebook pages videos are not displayed as they should be. Where the video should be seen there is only blank white space. Audio is running normally though. If I click FULL SCREEN video mode Flash video
    is displayed normally. Only in small screen modes Flash videos are not displayed properly.
    I have tried playing same videos using Google Chrome which is also using Flash ActiveX and everything is working fine there. Firefox which is using Flash Plugin also works fine. Only IE11 is not working as it should.
    I have already reinstalled Flash Player and disabled all IE11 addons but problem is still there. I would say this is not Adobe Flash Player problem as in Chrome everything works fine.
    Both the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player and updated IE11 are installed on my computer.
    Can you, please, tell me what should I do to fix this problem.
    A screenshot of embedded video:

    If I click FULL SCREEN video mode Flash video is displayed normally. Only in small screen modes Flash videos are not displayed properly.
    I would say this is not Adobe Flash Player problem as in Chrome everything works fine.
    Comparing with Chrome may not be relevant but it sounds like something about the screen size is making the Flash program act differently in the two environments.  Supposedly there is a debug version of Flash but I don't know if there is a debug version
    for the Flash that is embedded in W8.
    Is there a publicly accessible repro page someone could use to compare their symptoms with yours?

  • How to package the runtime into APK with Flash Pro + AIR 3 SDK?

    Hi
    I'm very glad to update my AIR SDK from 2.7 to 3.0 and everything seems working well. But how can I package runtime into .apk file with Flash Pro?
    Should I change the XXXXX-app.xml manually?
    Thanks

    Thanks, that explains a lot.
    I'm afraid I'm a bit confused about what the preferred way of developing extensions is going ahead. There seems to be a lot of conflicting documentation on the adobe site, e.g. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite.html  seems like the top page for extension documentation but it only talks about CS SDK 2.0 which uses CSXS and doesn't seem to be compatible with creative cloud apps.
    Then there's CS Extension Builder 2.1 which looks like it supports Flash Pro CC but isn't mentioned in the pages you linked too and it doesn't mention JSFL, but talks about the CSAW library.
    Do you know if:
    * The CS SDK has been dropped completely?
    * CS Extenstion Builder is deprecated? (I can't see it as an option in the list of Creative Cloud apps)
    * Is then any documentation/utilities to help migrate existing CSXS extensions to work with creative cloud apps?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

  • Firefox does not display my customised Adobe Air browser based skin when viewed from a server

    Hi,
    I have edited the skin for my Adobe Air Browser based help. It appears fine in Explorer and Chrome, but Firefox displays the default black Air skin when viewed from a server.
    However, it appears OK when viewed locally on my machine in Firefox?
    Does anyone know why this is or if there is a way to make my customised skin display when viewed from a server using the Firefox browser?
    Cheers

    Peter,
    I think this was it:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2846292#2846292
    although my problem is just with Firefox - my amended skin displays fine in Internet Explorer.
    Firefox just applies the default Midnight Black skin.

  • CER files not working in Flash (iOS AIR app)

    I'm trying to test a flash project on my iPhone 5, but flash won't let it compile and opens the AIR pref pannel instead with the "certificates" field highlited.
    I don't know why it would want that, but I searced for it on the apple developer website and found mine and downloaded it. But it's a CER file, and Flash wants a P12 file. I looked it up in the Adobe documentation (every bit of which sucks by-the-way) and it says I can convert with OpenSSL.
    So I downloaded that from the OpenSSL website, but all I got was a bunch of seemingly random files. Fortunatly i'm good at digging through seemingly random files, so I did, and found 3 things: 1. It's not 64-bit compatible, 2. It's not Windows 8 compatible, and 3. It's not COMPILED! I'm pretty good at just about everything that involes computers, but if theres one thing I'm bad at it's COMPILING THINGS!
    So this is my question(s):
    1. Why doesn't Adobe Flash support CER files when that's all that Apple has for certificates?
    2. Is there an online converter for CER to P12 files?
    3. Why is OpenSSL not compiled?
    4. Is there any other way to convert the files that works on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit?
    5. Why is it so hard for anyone make a good Elecro song?
    6. Would this work better on another platform?
    7. What's up with Adobe's documentation?

    Found an online converter!
    https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-converter.html
    Unfortunatly, it needs a "PFX Password" and a "Private Key File".
    This is too much security. I don't even like security.
    I WOULD RATHER WALK AROUND WITH MY S.S.N. ON MY SHIRT!
    Also, I think Adobe is just trying to be anoying, because all I had to do to set up Xcode was type in my username and password, then click "add device to portal" in the device managment window.

  • TOC/Search window not displayed in WebHelp Pro output

    Robohelp10, WebHelp Pro -
    I've got what I have to think is pretty fundamental question: When I generate my WebHelp Pro project, everything works perfectly until I move the contents of the output folder to a network drive for viewing. When the default topic opens, rather than displaying the TOC/Search window on the left, I'm getting a link that says "Show". Click that link, and the TOC opens right up.
    I would like to have the TOC displayed on that initial view, without requiring users to click the "Show" link.
    Again, when I view the results of the output on my local drive, the TOC is displayed. The obvious problem is, the generated help needs to reside on a network drive to be accessed by our users...
    PS: The project is on my local drive, only the contents of the output folder are being moved to the network drive. Also, everything other than the TOC display seems to be working fine.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Larry, Rick has solved your conditional build issue. However, do check to make sure you have all the updates installed for RoboHelp 10.
    WebHelp issues in RoboHelp versions 10 and 11
    I notice you are using IE. Does the Show link occur with Chrome or Firefox as well?
    Meanwhile, I'm still suspect that you are not opening the correct "default" start page file to launch the WebHelp and that's why you're getting that "Show" link. This is "tell-tale" that you are opening the default topic file instead of the default Start Page. By chance have you somehow named your "default topic", index.html? If so, this is not correct.

  • Text seen in swf file but not seen in flash pro. publish

    I am using fmath formula component for flash. when i push ctrl+enter, texts in formula object are not seen, there is only tiny squareroot symbol. however, when i open created swf file, everything seems normal. I use flash player version 11.2. . Also, everything is ok in version 9.
    http://www.fmath.info/flash/download.jsp

    Are you setting the font that is being used to display the formula yourself? If so is it properly embedded and issued to the component properly? A quick way to check is to use a known system front (Arial, _sans, etc) and see if text shows up. If it does you're just not either embedding properly or aren't pointing to the font correctly in the component.

  • Local videos not playing in Flash/Dreamweaver Air app

    Hi there. I am having trouble playing local video from an Air app created from Dreamweaver. I have found many similar [posts, but most are about Flex and so on. I need some help getting this working form Flash and Dreamweaver.
    What I did wat create a jQuery site that uses Flash to play videos. It will be packaged as a desktop Air app using the Dreamweaver Air plugin.
    From advice that I got here (http://soenkerohde.com/2008/06/playing-local-files-with-air/)
    I started a new Air Project in Flash as suggested. Using an Air flash app makes more sence I guess, but I still need to imbed it into an HTML framework.
    Here is the code I am using:
    import flash.filesystem.File;
    var myVideo:Video = new Video(stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight);
    addChild(myVideo);
    var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    nc.connect(null);
    var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
    var client:Object = new Object();
    client.onMetaData = function(metadata:Object):void {
    trace(metadata.duration);
    ns.client = client;
    myVideo.attachNetStream(ns);
    var f:File = new File("Special_Assignment_Title.flv");
    ns.play(f.url);
    When I run this I get the following error:
    <blockquote cite="">ArgumentError: Error #2004: One of the parameters is invalid.
              at Error$/throwError()
              at flash.filesystem::File/set nativePath()
              at flash.filesystem::File()
              at videoPlayer_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()[videoPlayer_fla.MainTimeline::frame1:17]</blockquo te>
    Any suggestions on how to fix my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Instead of using the File object, try URLRequest instead:
                                            var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest("Special_Assignment_Title.flv");
                                            ns.play(urlReq.url);

  • Some Flash Sites are not displayed with Flash Player 9

    Hello everyone,
    After having upgraded to Flash Player 9 I cannot view some
    flash sites on either FF or IE.
    I have checked around with other users also and they cannot
    see them either.
    Although the page seems to be loading with title etc. it
    remains blank or it shows a blank block where it is supposed to be
    the flash movie.
    The problem is that it only happens to dynamic flash sites
    that load text and images from external documents.
    With Flash Player 8 they worked just fine.
    The problem is that it is our company's page so we want to
    have it up and running for everybody.
    You can check the page here:

    Any help would be appreciated.

    When a customer's business website goes down after installing
    Flash Player 9 he just wants the site back up. First I had to
    figure
    out that they installed the Flash 9 player and then I had to
    go to the Swish site to find out that Swish files won't run right
    on
    the Flash 9 player unless they get patched first. After
    running the downloaded patch on all the swfs on the site (yes
    uploaded
    correct files and cleared the cache) there were still odd
    things happening. I didn't have time to analyze why this was so, I
    just
    had to put the site back up and fast. Now that I have that
    site back up (I have others that will need fixing too, no doubt), I
    will go back and test everything again with Swish.
    There are a whole lot of hours being lost over this
    Swish/Flash9 player issue. Regardless of who's fault it is, there
    are many
    Flash sites down now.
