Table view Event handling

Hi Experts,
Im using MVC. I get the data's from MBEW and displays in to one Table view. My table view displays the data's like,
MATNO      DESCRIPTION      QUANTITY      PRICE
M-10          PENCIL                       1                10.00
The Quantity field is in Edit mode. Now user change the Quantity from 1 to 5. So,
MATNO      DESCRIPTION      QUANTITY      PRICE
M-10          PENCIL                       5                10.00
I want to catch these changed Table view data's in to my Internal Table. Please
Any body give me the idea.

Friends,
I am trying to insert values into ztable in an event handler method in a WDA application.
This is the code. ZDATA1 is a ztable with two fields: MANDT and ZKTOKD of data element char01.

zstruct like line of zitab.

append zstruct to zitab.

I am getting the error: "The Work area "ZITAB" is not long enough...
Please let me know what is missing.

Reg. Filter on Table view

Hi,
I am trying to analyze the filter functionality on Table view. The event which is getting triggered when we click on filter is - "Filter".
However, in none of the standard components, I don't see this event has been implemented.
Now, I am confused, where exactly this logic has been implemented, and how this is working.
Could you please help me out for the same.

Answer to your questions are:
The filter functionality on Table view are handled by framework. Where exactly this logic has been implemented - It has std bsp component behind, you have to find it.
and how this is working - Table view has collection-> collection is converted into iterator-> iterator has methods like sort...etc...this way..

Post Event Handler

Hi,
I have created a post event handler and registered it. Then i checked in the PLUGINS table, my event handler exist there. But this event handler never called after create user.
I have added like:

entity-type="User" operation="CREATE" name="DBPostProcessEventHandler" stage="postprocess"
Do I missing any?

I've got the same problem, I follwed instruction as in 1262803.1. its ok for pre-process, but for post-process it dosn't work. Did you success?
I also tried to unregister the pre-process EvenHandler (with command ant -f pluginregistration.xml unregister) I got info "Unregistred succesful" but handler still works.. Do I omit something?

Table View MULTI SELECT option and Event handling problems

Hello All,
I am facing problem while giving miltselect option in a table view. When i mention multiselect attribute in Select option in table view, i am unable to select all the rows which i want to select,because i have an event onRowSelection event activated so when i select a row then it will automatically go to the event and i am unable to do multiple select.
Can you guys pl tell me is there any way thtat i can put check boxes in a table column and by that i can get values of row seelct and can perform my subsequent SQL operation.
Also i am not able to navigate in table view through BYPAGE or BYLINE option. When I click on navigate button then page got refreshed and i lost data.
One more query guys , can you pl tell me how can i store my internal table values from one event for the another event. I have used EXport/Import but internal table values get refreshed as page got refreshed on event switching/selection.

as i told you my second solution, will help you . the values remain in the corresponding UI elements.
For example , you have a drop down and table view. both will trigger events. bind the data of the table at drop down event and bind the dat of the drop down at table event.

This is how data should be binded in case of Stateless application. All the UI elemets must b binded again.. as the global data is refresed again.

Hi Ravikiran,
I am having a tableview in which the first column is an input field.
I am getting the the value entered in the input field of table view in do_handle_event but note that i am trying to get the value using key board event ('ENTER'.
How can i get the id of which input field of Tableview i have enterd the value so that i could write in do_handle_event.
eg:if tableview id is 'tv' and the first column of tableview is an inputfield.
If i am enering value in first row first column of tableview its id is tv_1_1.So that i could write in do_handle_event as
case.
when 'tv_1_1'.
endcase.
If i am enering value in second row first column of tableview its id is tv_2_1.So that i could write in do_handle_event as
case.
when 'tv_2_1'.
endcase.
but instead of writing this seperately how could i get the id of inputfield dynamically.Note here the event here is keyboard event 'ENTER'.

1)    You can make the method EH_ONSELECT as public and static and call this method in viewGS_CM/ADDDOC using syntax
    impl class name of view GS_CM/DOCTREE=>EH_ONSELECT "method name.
             or
2)The view GS_CM/ADDDOC which contains EH_ONSELECT method has been already enhanced, so I can't execute such kind of operation one more time.
                     or
3)If both views or viewarea containing that view are under same window , then you can get the instance ofGS_CM/DOCTREE from view GS_CM/ADDDOC through the main window controller.
lr_window = me->view_manager->get_window_controller( ).
    lv_viewname = 'GS_CM/DOCTREE '.
lr_viewctrl ?= lr_window ->get_subcontroller_by_viewname( lv_viewname ).
Now you can access the method of view GS_CM/DOCTREE .

Is it able to refresh the table view automaticlly after trigger an event?

Hi expert,
I have one table view and a "Delete" button, each time when the user click the del button, it will delete the row which is selected via a RFC module in the backend, afterwards, I want this table view to be refreshed and read the real data from backend via another function module, is it possible? how could I do it?

Let me do some summarize if my understanding is correct
1. Use a timer as "start" point of a table view, set the "interval" to be 0.05 minute
2. use the condition in the timer with a formula (BOOL(STORE@RETURN_CODE==0)).
3. If I trigger one event in the "table view", for example, a "Delete" event and it will return the result RETURN_CODE = 0 to datastore
4. Afterwards, if the time interval of the timer has been reached, 1st it will evaluate the value of the datastore and decide whether to refresh the table view.
Am I right?
Just as you mentioned before, it is not a perfect solution, as we may still wait for the timer to be triggered after a few seconds.

View not copied or enhanced with wizard Error while creating Event Handler method in Z Component

Hello Friends,
In one Z Component (Custom Component), in one of the views, while creating event handler, it gave me error message that view not copied or enhanced with wizard.
I am aware that in Standard Component, if we want to create the event handler method then we need to first Enhance the Component and then we need to enhance the view.
But, in the Z Component (Custom Component), how to create event handler method in one of the views as while creating event handler method i am getting view not copied or enhanced with wizard error.

Add a method in views impl class with naming convention eh_on__* with htmt and html_ex parameters. I dont have have the system right now. Please check any existing event import export parameters.
Check out do handle event method in the same class.
Redefine that method. Call that event method in this handle method. See existing code for reference.
Attach that event to the button on click event in .htm page.

WPF UI running in seperate runspace - able to set/get controls via synchronized hash table, but referencing the control via the hash table from within an event handler causes both runspaces to hang.

I am trying to build a proof of concept where a WPF form is hosted in a seperate runspace and updates are handled from the primary shell/runspace. I have had some success thanks to a great article by Boe Prox, but I am having an issue I wanted to open up
to see if anyone had a suggestion.
My goals are as follows:
1.) Set control properties from the primary runspace (Completed)
2.) Get control properties from the primary runspace (Completed)
3.) Respond to WPF form events in the UI runspace from the primary runspace (Kind of broken).
I have the ability to read/write values to the form, but I am having difficulty with events. Specifically, I can fire and handle events, but the minute I try to reference the $SyncHash from within the event it appears to cause a blocking condition hanging both
runspaces. As a result, I am unable to update the form based on an event being fired by a control.
In the example below, the form is loaded and the following steps occur:
1.) Update-Combobox is called and it populates the combobox with a list of service names and selects the first item.
2.) update-textbox is called and sets the Text property of the textbox.
3.) The Text value of the textbox is read by the function read-textbox and output using write-host.
4.) An event handle is registered for the SelectionChanged event for the combobox to call the update-textbox function used earlier.
5.) If you change the selection on the combobox, the shell and UI hangs as soon as $SyncHash is referenced. I suspect this is causing some sort of blocking condition from multiple threads trying to access the synchronized nature of the hash table, but I am
unsure as to why / how to work around it. If you comment out the line "$SyncHash.TXT_Output.Dispatcher.Invoke("Send",[action]{$SyncHash.TXT_Output.Text = $Value})" within update-textbox the event handler will execute/complete.

To clarify the "Respond to control events in the main runspace"... I'm would like to have an event generated by a form object in the UI runspace (ex: combo box selectionchanged event) trigger a delegate within the main runspace and have that delegate in
the main runspace update the form in the UI runspace.
ex:
1.) User changes selection on combo box generating form event
2.) Event calls delegate (which I have gotten to work)
3.) Delegate does some basic processing (works)
4.) Delegate attempts to update form in UI runspace (hangs)
As to the delegates / which runspace they are running in. I see the $synchash variable if I run get-var within a delegate, but I do not see the $Form variable so I am assuming that they are in the main runspace. Do you agree with that assumption?

Event Handling with Java API.: Adding to a hierarchy table throws 2events

I´m having some problems with the event handling. I´ve registered a Class with extends AbstractDataListener as EventListener. When there are changes in the product hierarchy table, some extra work should be done. However if i add a new record into the hierarchy, two events are fired.

In this case, i added the records "32 Zoll, B&R" and then "20 Zoll, allgemein". As you can see in both cases two events are fired and the first event seems to come with wrong data. The reported id for the newly created record is R17. For the logging, i did lookup the entry in the hierarchy table by id and use the displayvalue of the record. But the first event always shows the displayvalue from some already existing entry.
How can i avoid duplicate events or if this is not possible, how i can recognize that the display value of the first event is not valid.

I have not tetsted it yet, because I'm waiting for my server to be updated, but SAP told me that the API version 5.5.42.67 should fix the problem.

Handling a table scroll event

Hi experts,
I have a table with several columns. In one column there is a small image thumbnail. After the content (JSONModel) has rendered in the table, a javascript is triggered, which searches for the thumbnails and generates on mouseover bigger preview of that image. However, if I scroll down the table, then the preview is not generated and I would like to re-run that script again. Therefore I would like to handle a table scroll event.
How could a listener to the scroll event of a sapui5 table be handeled?

I am trying to create a custom pop up and populate this with Reason code and descriptions. For this, i have created a popup and placed a table view on the popup. But when i am stuck how to push data into the popup from an internal table.

Even I am facing the similar issue. I have created custom component with four views for my requirement and created one view set and displaying the viewset in the pop up screen. I also created event handler and added required coding to open the pop up screen.
I have added event handler in BT116H_SRVO component and now the pop up is opend with the required fields but the field is not having any data the value is empty in the pop up screen. I also binded context node details in the standard component.
While debugging I found that the collection wrapper is empty, so the data is not populated in the pop up screen. So kindly hlep me how to fill the collection wrapper and populate data inside the pop up screen.

In my application i have to add a button in each row of table view. i have done this by using UICatalog example. now problem is how I can handle the click events of these buttons.
suppose i have 5 buttons in 5 rows ... now one of them is clicked(suppose button in 3rd row). how would i know that button in 3rd row is clicked.
