Transfering .csv file from SAP to NON-SAP using FTP connection

Dear All,
I am able to place the .CSV file successfully to other system using FTP connection, but when i open the file I could see the gaps between each record. I mean 1st line with the 1st record and 2nd line having a GAP and 3rd line with the 2nd record and so ..on as shown below
1     1/1/2009     0     41000027
2     1/1/2009     0     41000027
3     1/1/2009     0     41000027
I have declared an internal table as below
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_charlist,
         line(5000) type c,
       END OF ty_charlist.
DATA: w_charlist TYPE ty_charlist,
             t_charlist TYPE TABLE OF ty_charlist.
And concatenating each field seperated by ','
CONCATENATE res1 res2 res3 res4 res5 res6 res7 res8 res9 res10 res11 res12 res13 res14 res15 res16 res17 res18 res19 res20 res21 res22 res23 res24 res25 res26 res27 res28 res29 res30 res31 res32 res33 res34 res35 res36 res37 res38 res39
INTO w_charlist-line SEPARATED BY ','.
APPEND w_charlist TO t_charlist.
Now T_CHARLIST contains 50 records which needs to be placed on other system. I can see 50 records but gap is coming
Here res1, res2 and so on are declared as TYPE STRING..
Please do help me this issue

Programtically transfering files from PC to RT target using FTP

Hi All,
I am trying to programmatically copy files from my PC to my cRIO. The screen shot is what my block diagram looks like. I ran this routine, I didn't get any error message, however, I didn't see a copy of the file in the folder I specified on the cRIO after I opened it. I have double-checked the filenames and paths, and they are as I want but the copied file isn't showing up on the cRIO.
I also tried to implement the FTP Put File.vi function, I got no error. I got the "221 Thank you for using National Instruments FTP" in the error out indicator (similar to what I saw with the FTP Store Multiple.vi) but still did not find a copy of the file in the folder I specified on the cRIO.
Please can anyone help solve this issue?

Can you upload your VI? Make sure that the VI is saved with the your paths as the default values for the controls (Edit->Make Current Values Default) so that we can see the values you've entered.

What about transferring a file using the FTP VIs without any remote path, just the remote file name? Have you tried providing a drive letter as part of the remote path as well? Again, it would help to see your code.
Comment: Yes, I have tried with and without the "c:" in the Remote Path name but the results were the same.
Also, if you're just transferring one file, the FTP Put File function will be simpler (it's only one VI).
Comment: I tried this as well. I have a minimum of 2 files I would like to copy to the cRIO. However, I tried the FTP Put File function as well in case that worked and I can transfer the files one after the other. This is can be deduced from the Enable/Disable Diagram Structure in the attached VI.
The FTP Store Multiple function has a second error out terminal, labeled "file errors." Have you checked for an error there?
Comment: Yes, I checked/monitored the File Error(s) indicator for both the FTP Store Multiple function and the FTP Put File function.

As you know SAP SRM and SAP PI are different boxes.
*_Option 1:_*
we need a shared AL11 directory in between SAP SRM and SAP PI (Ask basis to setup shared folder). Place / Populate the file in the folder from SAP SRM and then it can be picked through sender file communication channel.
In this case you (Basis team) will share one folder which is visible from the AL11 transaction of both the systems (SRM and PI). You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location and from PI you can read that file using File communication channel (NFS mode).
Option 2:
Setup a FTP at SRM environment and expose some folder which can be accessible from PI. Use sender file communication channel at PI end to pick the file.
You can use this option incase sharing of folder is not possible (due to network / other constrains). Here FTP server is required to expose any folder as FTP so as it can be accessible from internet (remote location). You need to expose some folder at SRM machine. You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location. Now PI can fetch the file from that location using sender file communication channel (FTP Mode) providing user credentials.

1.You distribute data using ALE if you want to communicate from one system to one or more other (mostly internal) systems.
2.ALE transfers data in IDoc format and uses the methods of tRFC for data transfer.
3.ALE enables the integration of business processes across several SAP or non-SAP systems.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
1.You use EDI if you want to exchange business application documents with an (external) partner system (for example, a customer or vendor).
2. The SAP system sends EDI messages in IDoc format to an EDI subsystem, where they are converted to a universal EDI standard (UN/EDIFACT or ANSI/X12).
3. This enables communication with non-SAP systems.
By definition, two partners are involved in the process in an EDI application scenario: The sender and the recipient of an EDI message

Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program

Hi All,
I have a issue related Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program.
Actual issue is as below.
In the selection screen of my program i will give Application Server Path as :
/PW/DATA/SAP/D1S/PP/DOWN/eppi0720*
Then the based on above input it should pick up all the files that are matching eppi0720* criteria.
Suppose if i am having 5 files with above scenario, i have to fetch all those 5 files at a time and place in my SAP Program.
All those 5 file's data should come into SAP at a time.
Can anybody tell me how can we solve above issue.
If any body has come across same issue please provide me with solution.

Delete a .csv file from desktop system

Hi All,
My requirement is to read the .csv file from the desktop system having the shared folder and delete the file after read successfully.
Here I can read the .csv file from the location using the function RFC_REMOTE_FILE and updated the content into internal table.
But I cant delete the file from the presentation server ( Desktop system).
Can anyone tell me how to delete the .csv file from the desktop system on different location.

The solution to delete the file from remote system is
concatenate 'DEL' i_filename i_dirname into v_bkfile separated by space .

SAP and Non-SAP data to Xcelsius

Hi Experts,
I m new to Xcelsius and i a m currently working on Xcelsius project, i need help on approach to bring both SAP and Non-SAP data to Xcelsius. Here the scenario goes on....
Total 6 plants are there, out of 6, 4 plants are on SAP and other 2 plants are on Non-SAP (Excel)
The requirement is to develop a dashboard to see all the plants details (both SAP and Non-SAP)
The approach i suggested for SAP: ECC --> BW --> InfoProvider --> Query --> QaaWS --> Xcelsius
For non-sap, data is available in excel, so we can bring that data directly to xcelsius, but problem is how to make it dynamaic because data in excel changes daily.
So my doubt is, if i develop a universe on excel files, then how to combine both SAP and Non-SAP universes. Is Data Federator is required for this or is there any approach to bring both SAP and Non-SAP data to Xcelsius.
Can any one help me on this

Another approach which i have used in the past is to have data in XML format, placed on a web server. When my data changes daily, i just export my data from excel or whatever source into the XML format..
Use the XML data connector to bring into xcelsius.

About integration between SAP and non-SAP applications via javaidoc classes

Now we are implementing a SAP-Retail project,we encounter a problem of integration between SAP and non-SAP applications(POS),we want to set Inbound/Outbound between SAP and POS applications realtimely,POS can connect to the SAP system via VPN,weather it can be implemented?
I conceive to implement it with SAP Java Connector IDoc Class,I don't know weather it is the best solution?If not,please give some other proposal.
I have download the classes from SAP website and try it with the samples provided by SAP(JCoIDocSample1.java/JCoIDocSample3.java),In my testing,Inbound is succeed,but,in SAP-Retail IS,standard Outbound message type is defined via file port,some one told me that SAP Java Connector IDoc Class can only receive idocs from tRFC port?is it true?If not,please tell me how to deploy in SAP so java program can receive idocs from file port?

SAP to non-SAP Communication Using Proxy Framwork

Hi all,
While searching for the connection option for the B2B collaboration between SAP and non-SAP business system, i found that there are two ways we can do it.
One using Adapters and another using Proxy Framework.
In our case We are on SAP Enterprise and non-SAP business partners are using I2, legacy system.
They are not using Rosettanet PIPS, so I can not use RNIF or any other adapter for the inbound or outbound operation.
My question is If we use proxy framework, what needs to be done at the non-SAP business system . Do we need to install proxy runtime and how does this proxy runtime will communicate with the application in non-SAP system.

You can use proxies for communicating with ABAP 6.20 systems and above and for J2EE applications.
For B2B communication you would normally use an adapter for example plain HTTP, SOAP or RNIF ...
An alternative is to install the XI PCK on the partner side. The PCK is essentially a standalone version of the XI Adapter Engine installed locally at the partner. This enables a scenario where XI communicates with the PCK over HTTP and then an adapter (file, JDBC ...) is used to communicate with the legacy system and vice versa.

Is it possible to implement SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without involvement of EP at all?

We have decided not to implement EP in first phase of SAP implementation. But we need to enable SSO for other SAP and Non-SAP applications.

A client of our's uses SAP Enterprise Portal, and is using the SAP SSO, which is implemented with tickets, and requires the use of SAPSECULIB. My company provides an application for this client, and our application in hosted in our data center for the client, as a Software as a Service application, obviously across the internet. Our client, which owns a SAP license, has asked that we support the SAP SSO as a non-SAP SSO application. The client user's SSO ticket will be created from SAP EP, and then passed across the internet to our application, and we are to use that SSO ticket as an authentication ticket to our application. I beleive I know how to do this work technically, having reviewed the SAP document named: "Dynamic Library for Verifying SSO Tickets in Third-Party Software" Specification Version 2.00 December 2005.
My question is, does my company have the right to use the SAPSECULIB? Where is the official download and license download, that indicates we can download this library, and use it to support a SAP customer? We do not own a SAP license. Thank you for your help. I have searched many places in SAP support.

Accessing CSV File from URL

Error loading csv file from application server

Hi all,
While uploading a csv file from the application server to psa we are getting the following error,
Error 2 while splitting CSV data record
Message no. RSDS_ACCESS011
Diagnosis
Error 2 occurred while splitting the CSV data record 1
1 = Could not find a closing escape character
2 = Invalid escape character
3 = Conversion error
4 = Other error
System Response
The function was terminated.
Procedure
Check the values of the data separator and escape sign, and try again.
But i've checked the file and the escape sign, data seperator in it also. Everything is fine. The same file we are able to load successfully in quality system.
How to solve this error??

   Could you please provide more details?
For example:
1.Is your P application server a UNIX flavor? (Solaris, AIX, UX, Linux)
   If yes..
         2. Are you able to see the contents of the file correctly with a "cat" or "vi" command? (at operating system level).
               If no...
                     3. Did you upload the csv flat file to the server via FTP?
                            If yes...
                                 4. Did you use the "binary" or the "ascii" parameter on the FTP command used to upload the file?
Probably you need to upload the CSV file again to your application server and make sure you can se the file contents ("cat" or "vi" command) before trying to execute the InfoPackage.
