UDF fails without an error

I have a UDF that I am trying to implement in 11.1.1.3.
The java code updates an Oracle DB table and writes a log to a text file.
A previous version in 9.2 without the Oracle updates works.
The function registers successfully when the APP starts.
The function runs successfully according to the essbase log but the result is not returned.
The function works on the server when running with the JDK from Textpad.
I suspect the udf.policy file. I updated it with the following code:
grant codeBase "file:${java.home}/../App/CAPEX/udf/*.jar" {
     permission java.security.AllPermission;
Is there any other debugging capabilities to find out if it is throwing an error or can I set up console output and redirect that to a file?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hope this helps
Already scoured that whole wiki and tried every option they had, no difference.  I think its some sort of outside factor thats messing with it.  I'm running a default Gnome install with Openbox as my window manager so it should be using default settings.
Edit: I broke english also .

  • AR Autoivoice fails without any error

Autoivoice fails without any error, the lines remains in the Interface Lines. I do not get any exception or error, but the invoice is not created. After running Autoinvoce, Sales Order status is closed, so the problem is with the Autoinvoice..
Any ideas of solving this problem? Thank you..

It is completed, there is nothing in the log file but this Warning: some records remaining in ra_interface_lines..it looks as if it had completed normally, but the invoices are not created..there is no error shown..
Could it be the problem the Accounting and Invoicing rules that are set to Monthly?

  • Payables Open Interface Pgm fails without any error(Very urgent)

    All,
I'm into an integration project where in I'm pushing Invoice doc from a third party appln to Oracle apps (11.5.10.2) thru payables open interface. The integration is smooth till today. We pushed a record today, but the concurrent neither picks up the data but failed with 'completed error' status. When I delete the same record from the interface, the concurrent runs fine. So we are sure there is some issue with the data in my record. Since concurrent is failed without any reason, from where I can get the log to know what is the actual problem with that record? Pls help me with your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Sen

    Sen,
To enable trace, please refer to this document (skip the part about generating TKPROF, just check the concurrent request output file if more details about the error are logged after enabling trace and setting the profile option).
Note: 453527.1 - How To Trace a Concurrent Request And Generate TKPROF File
    https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=453527.1
The database log file can be usually found under $ORACLE_HOME/admin/<SID>_<hostname>/bdump directory (or from SQL*Plus, issue "show parameter background_dump_dest").

  • Oracle XE 10g install fails without any error or message

    Hi,
I searched many posts in this form, and could not find an answer to my problem.
Trying to install XE on a server 2003. Installation proceeds successfully almost to an end, and then installation window disappears, without any message, error or warning.
New ORACLE_HOME, created up to this point, also disappears.
Logfile has the following entries, C:\WINDOWS\OracleDatabaseXEServerInstall.log:
    MSI (s) (F8:C0) [16:04:44:540]: Note: 1: 1708
MSI (s) (F8:C0) [16:04:44:540]: Product: Oracle Database 10g Express Edition -- Installation operation failed.
I know that the server is behind the firewall, and does not have connection to the internet. It is connected to the network, and other servers and desktops, though.
Does it have to have access to the outside world to install XE?

    Hi,
I am having the same issue, both on a windows 2003 server and on a XP client PC. The installation progresses up to a point after which the installation window disappears without errors or messages. I tried as a domain administrator, as a local administrator and removed other Oracle software, rebooted, checked for virus scanners etcetera, withou result.
I searched through the forums but could not find a solution.
    Any idea's?

    Hi Pondini!
    Thanks for your help.
I added the entire Time Machine disk to the spotlight privacy exception, waited for a bit, and removed it. From this line, I assume that it triggered the re-indexing of the drive:
Nov 27 10:26:58 computerName mds[34]: (Normal) DiskStore: Creating index for /Volumes/Time Machine Backups
    Yup.
I think one of the issues was that I had the power settings to shut down disks.
That shouldn't be a problem, as they should "spin up" when necessary. Some external HDs respond to that setting, some don't -- they have their own settings. But unchecking the option sometimes fixes the problem, so at least you know what it is.

    Any ideas?
The UUID mismatch message sent by backupd in your first post is because TM hasn't completed a backup, and isn't sure what's changed on your system and needs to be saved. So it does a "deep traversal," comparing your system to the backups (that's the "scanning" in the messages). That has to be repeated every time, until a backup is completed. On subsequent backups, it can use a log of changes that OSX keeps, and will be much quicker.
It sounds like something is corrupted, somewhere. Exclude your TM drive from Spotlight again, but leave it excluded. Verify your internal HD and Repair the TM drive again. (Unfortunately, those will find directory errors and the like, but not necessarily problems within files.)
    Then try another backup.
How old is your external HD? Are you just starting with TM or that disk, or have you been backing-up successfully for a while?
Are you running any kind of Sync application? A couple of the messages mention some sort of sync, but I don't know enough about Spotlight to know whether that's relevant.
Are you running Windows via Parallels, VmWare, or the like?

  • Adding UDFs fails with SQL-Error

I got our customers DB (SBO05APL18) and upgraded to PL36. Upgrade worked perfectly fine although it took years (2,5GB DB).
Everything seems to work so far but if I try to add a UDF in this DB i get the following SQL-Errormsg in B1:
    11/06/2008  11:04:17: 1). [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]Restricted data type attribute violation
Doesn't matter what type or location i wish the UDF to have.
    Specs: Win2000 PL4 MSSQL05.
Before you make suggestions: this DB is not the only one running on this machine and other DBs work fine.
I compared the preferences, compatibility, collation and permissions. They are all equal.
Couldn't find any hints on the net so far. Help needed!!

    Hi,
Just a guess... Did you verify that the DB isn't in readonly mode (since it looks like your assumption)?
Launch SQL Server Management Studio, right-click on your DB then last option (Properties).
Select the Options page (top-left list) and near the end of list on the right, you should find a group named State, with the Read-Only state of the database. If true, change it to false.

  • Acrobat x installation failed without any error message

I installed Acrobat X on Window 7 (64-bit) from downloaded files. The installer poped up the installation options up to the typical or custom installation. After clicking "Next", nothing happened. I have already disabled the antivirus software and my Win 7 has the latest updates installed. In addition, I also tried the downloaded trial version of the Acrobat X from Adobe. But nothing happened either after clicking "Next" in the final stage of the installation options. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.

I updated air sdk from 4.0 to 16.0 beta to fix apple app store submitting bug. I can build the project and run it on simulator without any problem.  But when I tried to export the ios release build, I got this error message: complilation failed while excuting : compile-abc.
I use commmand line to excute compile-abc.exe with the parameters that adt gives it, but it failed without any error message.

  • Compressor failing with no error code

So I've looked in the forums but haven't found anyone with this exact problem. I'm running FCS 1 v.5.1.4 & Compressor 2.3. I have a project that is HD 960x720, at 23.98 fps. I've used compressor on this project several times before with no problem, but this time when I submitted my batch, it runs for about 1800 frames, then fails. It doesn't give me any error code. If I hit the "Info" button, it says- percent complete:100 Batch: "Failed:"
I tried resetting background processes; that didn't help. I tried closing any other open sequences. I've restarted my computer, then actually shut it off for about 20 min. I still have the same problem. I haven't updated anything in months. I went into the Logs and found this in the compressor log:

I, of course, have no idea what this means, if it means anything at all. The only work-around for this problem I was able to find was to export it as a QT then send that to Compressor. I'm afraid that there will be a loss of quality. We will be showing this on the big screen and I can't have the quality diminished. Any thought?
    Thanks in advance guys.

So when searching, I found a thread that said that failing without an error can mean that there is a corrupted clip. So I searched my timeline and found that, for some reason, all my imported clips had gone offline. My titles, effects, all of them. They also didn't say that they were offline until I clicked on them. I reconnected, and now it works fine.

  • DTP load to cube failed with no errors

    Hi,
I executed a DTP load from cube to cube with huge data volume approx 25 million records. It is a full load. The DTP load failed without any errors in any packages. The load went for 1 day and 33 mins and the request just turned red without any error messages. I have check ST22 and SM37 Job logs. No clue.
I restarted this load and again it failed approximately around the sametime without any error messages. Please throw some light on this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for the response. There are no abnormal messages in the SM37 Job logs. These process is running fine the production. We are making a small enhancement.

  • Export bookmarks fails to produce an html file in the chosen location without an error message?

I go through the steps from the bookmarks menu to export bookmarks to html.
All goes well without an error message, but the file is not created in the selected location.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • TM fails without error message

After about 7 GB of 57 GB I find TM has stopped but without any error messages. I have used disk utility to re-format my LaCie HDD but same result. Then excluded all folders other than Pictures and OK. But I want to back-up everything. Any ideas....thanks.

as I said two times already, I am using Windows 2012R2. Also, as I mentioned in my previous post, a non-standard multiplicator seems to have been the reason for the fault.
Is this an answer to my question, or did you by mistake reply in the wrong thread?
    What is an "always" block?
I am using genereate statements regularly, usually with the size of up to 32, since it is a design with 32 parallel ADC channels.
Also, the machine on which it initially didn't work has 32GB RAM, while my small notebook on which it worked has 6GB RAM. I think it is unlikely that memory is the cause. The memory recommendation according to your link is below 4GB for XC7K160T.
As far as I can see, there is no answer record 59931: http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/59931.html
Since the problem seems to have been on the systems hardware side (non-default CPU multiplicator), I will close this thread. If I encounter a similar problem again, I now know the appropriate steps to take before opening a thread.
    Thanks again,
    Johannes

  • Logging into AppleID for FaceTime & iMessage fails without error

I want to setup FaceTime and iMessage.
I have an Apple ID that is an email address other than ME.COM. The address is verified and I use it to log into iTunes and iCloud.
When I try to log in with the apple ID, the screen moves forward to the email address screen, but then goes right back to the login page without an error. Nothing I have been able tomtrynhas made it log in. I even attempted to do the login on another iPad and it worked fine. So it's apparently something with that iPad.
I have reset the iPad, tried forcing FaceTime and iMessage closed, but not sure what else I can do. I'd like to avoid doing a full reset and restore. So if there is anything else I can try, I want to go down that road first.
    Thanks,
    Steve

I don't know if this will work, but it's far less of PITA than restoring the iPad to factory settings. Have you tried resetting all settings?
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. I don't know if that will reset FaceTime and Messages, but you will have to set up all of your app preferences and iPad preferences again if you try it. Not nearly as much work as restoring though.

  • ITunes install fails due to Error Code

I'm trying to install iTunes and I get the message Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I then have 3 options - Abort - Retry - Ignore which provide no success. If I ignore it the installation process completes however it states that the installation failed 'Error Code 7 (Windows error 126)' re-install iTunes. I've tried running the download as administrator with no success.

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Error message: "Logging into the account failed because an error occurred."

    Hello,
We had an XServe G5 2.0 DP 5GB/80/2x250 running Mac OS X 10.3.9 Server with all updates as a main server for a school. The server provides Open Directory Master as well as File-Sharing (AFP and SMB) and e-mail services to about 30 teachers and 300 students. The user home directories reside on the server. A web server also runs on the machine. The students use a pool of laptops, which are configured with a local guest and admin account as well as access to the server-based home directories with Directory Access. The server had the OS running on the 80 GB hard drive and all data (Home directories, mail database, website, etc. were on the two mirrored 250 GB drives.) All was working well until...
A few weeks ago, one of the two 250 GB died. We decided to use the opportunity to upgrade the server and set it up with 3 x 750 GB, two drives running as a mirrored pair to hold OS AND Data, the other as a stand-by unit to help replace a failing drive.
We migrated the OS and all data from the previous drives without a problem. Since now, all data is residing on one pair of drives, we put the data from the old "Data" drive in a folder on the root level of the new HD pair. We wrote a script that launches at startup which creates the symlink in /Volumes/Data to link to /Data. We thought that with this, all would be well.
However: When any user tries to log into his account from any iBook (10.3.9 or 10.4.11) (wirelessly), he gets the message:
"Logging into the account failed because an error occurred. The home folder for the user account is located on an afp or smb server. contact your system administrator for help"
If the user logs in to the guest account on the iBook, then accesses his home directory via file-sharing, he can see (read/write) all his data. So, the data and privileges seem to be OK, as well as Open Directory working correctly. Mail and the web work well also, as does logging in to a user account from one of the PC's (wired).
Can anyone make any suggestions as to how to fix the situation? Currently, the users are using the guest accounts and accessing their data via filesharing, as well as using webmail for their e-mail, but this is a major nuisance.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Alain Chammas
A user trying to access his account from a PC (wired) has no problems.

A good number of folks are having problems with this same error message at login, and nobody seems to have found a fix.
I believe I have stumbled upon, if not a solution, at least part of the answer. If you're logged into a 10.4 workstation, open a Finder window and click the "Network" icon. The first time you do this, you'll only see "Library" and "Servers" icons, but if you let it sit for a moment, other folders will magically appear. One of these is "My Network" which is the critical part.
In Workgroup Manager, edit one of your users' home directory configuration. There's a URL piece, usually "afp://server.domain.com/Users" (which is what shows up in the window when you click on the "Home" tab for that user), and then there's a "Home" path that is usually something like "/Network/Servers/servername/Users/username". Trouble is, you've noticed that 10.4 doesn't put servers into the "Servers" path, but rather into the "My Network" path.
So, if you change that "Home" path to read "/Network/My Network/servername/Users/username", it should work--with one caveat. Apparently 10.4 doesn't create the "My Network" path on a given client until you actually browse the network on that client. If you haven't logged into a 10.4 workstation and browsed the network, the "My Network" path won't be there, and you'll still get the error. Login as a local user, browse the network (so that the "My Network" folder shows up), logout, and then login as an Open Directory user, and it should work.
I'm betting that 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5 all handle this issue differently, so if you're in a mixed-version situation, you may have to experiment to find a workable fix.
    Derndest thing I ever saw.
