Whta is the relevant for BW Flag option in the infopackage for loading Hierarchies? What happens when you turn this on?

As the hierarchies are stored in combination with the OLTP system, when you tend to load from a flat file, the system doesnt allow you to maintain this feature, as this hierarchy would be relevant to BI.
Diagnosis
The relevant hierarchies in BI are stored according to the combination DataSource/source system.
If you want to change the selection of BI-relevant hierarchies, this change is effective for all InfoPackages that have been created for the same DataSource/source system combination.
Procedure
Check all other InfoPackages for DataSource 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER and source system PRDCLT100 to see whether the change executed is also appropriate for these InfoPackages.
Procedure for System Administration
If you want to load a hierarchy in a different InfoPackage (which will be marked as non BI-relevant as a result of your changes) the selections made for this InfoPackage will be lost and The InfoPackage can no longer load.
Errors will occur when you start the InfoPackages. The monitor produces an error message to say that a valid hierarchy selection has to be made.

Let's look at the first thing: Aspect Ratio 46W x 25H does not fit 6W x 4H exactly. You get 6W x 3.621H If we preserve Landscape Orientation and Aspect Ratio. If I set H to 4, W will be 7.36 inches, clipping your picture.
You'll have to decide on how to clip off that 1.36 inches so your picture can be 4 x 6 in order to solve that problem.
Notice I set Resample off. Throwing out pixels is destructive editing. So what I am doing is "Scaling", changing the Print Size without touch the pixels. Notice how high the resolution goes up.
To Resample or not will be your decision. I hope I answered your questions properly. Let me know otherwise.

I am trying to install a brand new full version of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium.
I am unable to proceed, as the install options window tells me "The size of your selected options exceeds the available space" with a red exclamation point.
It says my options require 9.6GB of space.
I am trying to install on my D Drive, which has 1.1 TB of available space. Yes, that's right, Terrabytes.

System: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @2.4 GHz, Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1, 4 GB RAM, system drive WD Raptor (75GB) and main drive (where I am trying to install CS4) is (6) 500GB seagate SATA hard drives in a 2.5TB RAID 5 array. Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 and video is an Nvidia GEForce 8800GT (512 RAM). RAID controller is onboard the motherboard (Intel ICH8R)

Bob and Peter, you nailed it.
I had inadequate room on the C drive...I was down to only 5 GB of space.
I cleaned up the desktop (The wife thinks that is a great place to store everything) and freed up my C drive so it had just over 10 GB of free space, and the red exclamation point went away. It is now happily installing onto my D drive.
Ian, my C drive (system) is a Western Digital Raptor...10,000 RPM. They are really small (75GB) but really fast so that windows boots up really quick. It is a performance thing. My D is a RAID array for redundancy...as I cannot afford to lose my pictures, videos, and documents, etc. - and I always keep my program installs on D so as to keep the C drive speedy and un-cluttered - plus if and when windows gets corrupted (which it does once every couple of years for some reason), I can re-do it in 5 minutes with an image using Acronis True Image.
Thanks to all of you for your ideas, and I am glad I got it solved. If any Adobe employees read this...you can at least throw in some nice paper manuals for the software. When software is $1600.00 I'm not real concerned about saving another tree - and you shouldn't be either...I'd rather have some paper manuals for reference when I buy a full retail package. So pump up the packaging please. Thanks!!!!

I want to hide(not disable) the "Save As" and "Exit" options in the File Menu of Excel Documents in SharePoint 2013.When I make changes in the excelribbon.css file of xlviewer.aspx,all the options under File menu are getting hidden but
I want to hide only these two options while retaining the others.

To hide the “Save As” and “Exit” options in xlviewer.aspx page in SharePoint, I recommend to use the code below(however it is not recommended):

Requesting guidance on how best to deal with removal of CreateElementSteps for tables when option to 'script validation for new constraints' is enabled during schema compare

I have a DeploymentPlanModifer subclass that is responsible for removing certain tables from a deployment plan under specific conditions. It is relatively trivial to find the
CreateElementSteps I need and subsequently remove them via
DeploymentPlanModifier.Remove(), but...
... if in my comparison I have enabled the 'Script validation for new constraints' option, the deployment plan will contain a
DeploymentScriptDomStep with a Batch containing AlterTableConstraintModificationStatements for tables with foreign key constraints. My problem starts here - there will be an orphaned
AlterTableConstraintModificationStatement for each of the tables that I removed. Obviously, execution of the generated script comes to a grinding halt when asking SQL Server to to alter a table that is never created.
I'm able to get around this by digging around in the aforementioned batches and removing the orphaned alter statements, but this seems really hacky, which makes me think I'm missing the proper way of dealing with this.
So... if anyone is aware of a more correct way of avoiding this problem, I would really appreciate finding out more about it.

Hi Greg. Unfortunately there is not an easy solution here. Walking the deployment model, spotting potential issues and excluding them really is what you have as an option here. The alternative is to pre-process the dacpac to have it in the form you want,
but I'm not sure if this is an option in your case and it also has limitations.

i have itunes 7.0.2 which i assume is the same thing as 7.0 and whenever i plug in my ipod, click on the ipod icon, and go to summary tab, the only options i get are "sync music: All songs or playlists" or "sync music: selected playlists." there's no option for "only sync checked items." it's very frusterating. could you please give me very direct instructions on how to get only checked music onto my ipod? thanksss.

You don't select it as an option when using the macbook, it just happens when the system needs more speed. Also if you think you're macbook pro is "overheating" while you're using it, it really isn't because it would come up with a heat warning if it was overheating. Your mac will tell you when its running out of spec so when it gets dangerously hot, you will know.

That's just the way it is in full screen mode. You need to come out of FS to see the dots again.

I purchased an iPad 1 (in Australia where I used to live) and 5 months after the warrenty had run out it ceased to turn on. This I hasten to add, was only 1yr 5 months after purchasing it, and I think we all expect a premium product, which we pay a premium price for to work for longer then 1yr 5 months.
This aside, I was advised my the Apple service centre in Singapore (Where I now reside) that due to the lack of warranty I would have to pay circa $450 SGD (£225) to get a "new" IPad 1. This was my only option.
After begrudgingly parting with my money I recieved a "new" iPad with a 3 month warranty a week later (less than a week ago)
The iPad has since stopped turning on again, having exactly the same problem as previously. I was advised by the genius at the Apple retail outlet in Isreal (where I am currently, bearing in mind there is no official Apple store in the country) that the iPad I had in my possesion was purchased in Australia a yr and 5 months ago and had no warranty. Not only had I paid $450 SGD for Apple only to fix my old iPad, I had been falsely advised that I would be recieving a new Apple product and my serial number has not been updated with the additional warranty. I feel a little cheated.
Personaly I am dissmayed by this turn of events and feel hugely let down by Apple.
I was going to give the iPad to my father as a present as I haven't seen him for 2 years, but it's worthless.
Any assistance with this matter would be highly appreciated, I just want an iPad that works and a warranty period that makes sense for the amount of money I have spent on the product.

When I refer to letter, I mean email or eletter, whatever you wish to call it, but a correspondance via email very quickly to a global high-tech technology company. This is the year 2012 after all, I would feel slight disbelief if the only way to raise this complaint would be via a real letter.
If there is no other way, than a letter will have to suffice.

To save space the downward pointing triangle was removed and you now right-click or click-and-hold the back button to get the history list.
There is an add-on if you prefer the downward-pointing triangle. I haven't tried it myself.

Thunderbird fails to send email when "Scan email for junk mail" option is checked in Server Admin

I have 2 clients that need to send mail through my server, one Mac and one Windows. The Mac uses apple mail and the Windows machine uses Thunderbird.
Apple Mail will send fine, it is set up for "Use Default ports 25, 465, 587" and "Use SSL" and "Authentication: MD5 Challenge-response".
Thunderbird refuses to send and I don't even see any errors showing up in the Console on the OS X server under smtpd entries.
If I uncheck the "Scan email for junk mail" option on the server, then Thunderbird will send fine.
Thunderbird is set up as: "smtp port 587 (default)" "connection security: STARTTLS" "Authentication method: Encrypted Password"
May or may not be relevant: I use virtual domains as well as aliases.
Server: Mac OS X Server version 10.5.8

Solved it, looks like maybe the smtpd settings for sasl authentication may not have been correct. I followed everything in http://osx.topicdesk.com/content/view/38/41/ the "Frontline Spam Defense for OS X server" guide and now can send mail just fine from Thunderbird Winodws and from Apple Mail.

The relevance of Metro and Apps

It would seem a number of respondants are missing the point here.
What we are talking about here is the Enterprise version of the new O/S, not he home version. What needs to be asked is whether Metro and Apps have a place on an Enterprise PC. In my view they do not. Would I allow an image of Windows 10 with all the Apps
on it be pushed out to all my my Enterprise desktops? The simple answer is: No. They have no place there. What you want on your PC at home is your concern but when you are sitting in front of a work place PC you should be focusing on your job and not playing
with all manner of Apps.
One can argue that when creating an new image you can easily uninstall all the Apps but that is just extra work creation. I am busy enough as it is and having to remove all the unwanted Apps is just another irritation. The Enterprise version of this new
O/S should be clean and ready for distribution on the network and not full of clutter.
Besides that I think this new O/S is looking great and really folks at Microsoft, this is what Windows 8 should have looked like when it was released.

Perhaps a lot of folks - including those at Microsoft - secretly hope that somehow they can make it so Metro/Modern Apps become relevant for enterprise users.
That cuts to the core of the problem. Ignoring that most of them are games, the fact is that simple, big-font, non-cognitive-challenging Apps don't fit because life is just not that simple. People get paid to use computers to do complex
things, that need every millimeter of screen space to do (often with multiple monitors), and they need systems that don't distract them even one iota from their work.
Most corporate folks are smart enough to browse to Weather.com (or check their iPhone) when deciding whether it's nice enough outside to go out to lunch, they have Outlook / Exchange to help them manage their meeting schedules.
The stuff they use to do actual work uses 9 point fonts, if not 8.
And even though Microsoft seems to imply all the eggs need to go in the Metro/Modern basket, we don't see things like a Metro/Modern Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc. Visual Studio is not a Metro/Modern App.
Lastly, let us not forget that "thin is in" with regard to corporate computers. Companies don't want to buy employees any more computer hardware than they need for basic work.

Hey guys I figured out how to solve the issue.
You need to go to settings>general>restrictions.
Turn off restrictions and your iCloud and twitter will start working.
