Why does Firefox not make visible some of the content on a major corporations employee webpage, although I've tried several things, they work in IE and Chrome?

The website is https://pshrwb200.jcpenney.com and after I log in, the website comes up but none of the images load. I tried disabling the Adblock Plus and a few other things (no proxy settings, allowed in pop-ups, etc.) which Firefox's help suggest and again nothing works. Also, like previously mentioned, IE and Chrome have no problem with this. Thanks for your help on this matter.

The website gave me access denied so I can't reproduce this.
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden "Menu Bar" temporarily.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a check-mark then remove this check-mark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
If you created this file yourself, disregard this step
it looks like user.js is currently active in Firefox. The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release. You can get to the profile folder below:

or

I have used Firefox for years, as the fastest and most reliable browser for me, esp in China... not anymore! Last month (unknown to me) a hijacker called Vosteran took over my Firefox browser. I finally realized it and got it cleaned up using Malwarebytes anti-malware, and downloaded a new Firefox... now SAME problem exists, even with Vosteran removed!
Firefox will not allow me into ANY normal sites, saying they don't have the proper security code. This includes my Yahoo front page, email account, ESPN and other common sites that are certainly NOT dangerous. So, WHY does Firefox not work anymore? It is useless to me here in China the way it works now.

Why does firefox delete my incoming mail from the server when I start my PC

I have XP-Service Pack 3. When I start my PC, all my incoming mail is deleted from the server "Ziggo" When I set Windows Internet Explorer as the default, the problem is solved. I used Firefox 5.0 as well as Thunderbird, I'm now using Outlook express and Windows Explorer. I suspect that on Start-up, either Thunderbird or Firefox makes contact with the "Ziggo" server and deletes the mail. Ziggo, my ISP, cannot help me.

You don't have anything under Advanced between the Move Discarded Messages Into section and the S/MIME section?!

Sorry I do not know why you would not have those sections, especially the Deleted Messages section as this applies just to the Mail app and the Mail trash mailbox
the stock answer when puzzled is to suggest a Reset of your iPad:
hold both the Home button and the Power button down for 10+ seconds until the Apple logo appears. Let go promptly when you see the Apple logo. Wait another 30 seconds for your iPad to restart itself. No data will be lost.
see if that changes anything so that those sections reappear in your settings.
You could also try Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings ... I don't know enough about that to know if it will help, but it will mean you have to go back and fix all your settings afterward

Why does Firefox not support flash in Vista any more?

I have a laptop with Vista on it and all year long I have had a hell of a time putting up with the new glitches in Firefox.
I simply want the damn thing to be able to use the flash plugin. Every single ******* time Firefox updates, I lose the ability to view flash content. Clicking on the "install missing plugins" logo takes me through *seemingly* successful installs, but it doesn't really install and the next time I load firefox it still says "click here to install missing plugin."
I have also downloaded the executable from adobe and run that (as an administrator, with firefox closed out) and I still get a *successful* installation that results in total failure, e.g. it's still not installed.
Several firefoxes ago I found a website where I could download the two files needed (the dll and the other file) and I manually placed them in the plugins folder which allowed me to use flash until the damn update to the next firefox release wiped it out. The place I downloaded those files from no longer hosts them, so I'm SOL.
Please either start to support Vista again, or declare that you aren't going to. I'm sick and tired of firefox nowadays, even though I've been using it since before version 1.1.
Please, please, please just fix this problem.

Why does Firefox not update automatically nor allow me to manually update?

I'm running version 3.0.5, but didn't notice it wasn't updating until websites started complaining recently. When I try to upload manually from the website, the program downloads but will not copy into my applications folder. It says there is already an existing file, but when I click "Replace", it says I "do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
I've looked in to ways that Firefox should automatically update. Mine does not offer to update from the "About Firefox" screen. When I go to Preferences -> Advanced -> Update, under "Automatically check for updates to:" everything is checked, but the box for Firefox is grayed out so I can't touch it.
I don't want to uninstall and reinstall because I'm afraid to lose all my saved passwords and bookmarks.

Why does Firefox not allow me to go to Facebook, consistently says "untrusted connection"??

I have read through all of the responses to this exact questions posed by other users and nothing is working. What is the most frustrating is that this is not a constant issue. One minute I will be logged onto Facebook and when I try to visit a friends page or post something it will freeze, then the "untrusted connection" comes up. Or it will be working fine for a couple hours and I will log off of Facebook, when I come back a few hours later, or even a few minutes later I get the "untrusted connection" warning again. This has happened more now that Firefox has been updated and it is also happening to my roommate. She will be logged onto Facebook and I will try and get the warning, or vice versa. We are in the same room on separate computers. This problem does not occur on Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. This is an issue with Firefox, not my computers. We have four computers (2 Desktops, 2 Laptops) in our home, my boyfriend works in IT. We have done everything suggested by the people here and nothing works. I would understand if it was happening to one computer constantly and you tried to tell me it was my computer, but that is not the case. This happens with all four computers at different times. How can one person be logged on to Facebook and another isn't, then an hour later it will work on the latter computer and not the one it was working on previously. This is very frustrating. I love using Firefox over Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, I trust it more. But this is getting ridiculous. It has been happening for a long time, it just got worse with the update. Please help. Why does Firefox not respond to any commands (it wouldn't even want to close) when I try to watch a stremline video from a webpage although all video-plugins are updated? The problem occured spontaneously, no changes were made to the system/settings.

Also by the way, when I use Firefox or Safari to look at the Apache web directory in which my files are, the files are listed case sensitively. For example, the files are listed: Ace, Zygote, bar. This is because lower case follows upper case. THis annoys me. I prefer case insensitive listing. When I llok directly athe directory without using a browser, the files are listed case insensitively. For example, they are listed: Ace, bar, Zygote. I guess taht Apache is doing this.

When Firefox updates, it removes Ecosia from the search engine list. Now, when I try to install it, Firefox says it is installed, but I can't find it. If I try installing again, the same thing happens, and it is not installed.

The previous versions of firefox had google by default, which was the best. But now it seems firefox needs money very badly so it has tied up with yahoo to have it as default search engine.

Why does this (i.e. support at Apple.com) not explain how to change the sort order? I can "arrange" by Date Modified for example but it won't let me switch to use most recent dates first. Also, what is Apple-speak for arrange versus sort anyway? It seems I used to be able to click on a column heading in finder and get a drop down arrow allowing me to change the sort sequence.

Arrange roughly translates to "group the items in the folder." Sort is how each group is ordered. If you have arrange set to none, you can sort by anything. However, there is no way in the Arrange/Sort menu to choose the direction. The only way to do that is in the List View, and you must have Arrangement set to None.
I've submitted an Enhancement Request to allow choosing sort direction from the Arrange/Sort menu, but I haven't ever gotten a response, which is good and bad. Good because they will often respond that they have considered it and don't plan on implementing. Bad in that they've haven't implemented it.
