WLS 7.0 - why EJB methods not shown in Admin Console?

Hello,
Has anyone try to set method-permission to a single method through WLS7.0 admin console?
I cannot get beanManaged example to show its methods following the instruction in
"Manage WebLogic Security". Any pointers?

Servers not visible in admin console

Hello,
we have admin server and one managed server (soa_server1) up and running, but for some reason they are not visible in admin console Environment -> Servers. The list is empty...
Any idea why admin console cannot see these servers?
Can this be fixed any other way than recreating the domain?
As a consequence jdbc datasource cannot be created. Testing the database connection succeeds but after that setting the target cannot be done.
We have weblogic 10.3.3.

Hello,
we rebooted the RedHat EL5 machine we have weblogic installed, after reboot Servers are visible as they should and datasource targeting for soa server succeeds.
In the same machine there's Oracle SOA Suite 11g in one domain (AdminServer, soa_server1), and Oracle Service Bus in another domain. It is a mystery why things did not work before reboot.
Thank you for the ideas how to debug and fix the problem.

11g node manager reachable but server does not start from admin console

I have a issue with node manager is reachable from admin console and from command prompt it is not connected and could not able to start the managed server.
If i change /config/nodemanager/nm_password.properties plain text and restart it is not reachable in admin console abut can connect from command prompt. I could not able to start the even with this scenario.
i see below error when try to check machine monitor tab.
<Error> <NodeManager> <BEA-300033> <Could not execute command "getVersion" on the node manager. Reason: "Access to domain 'dom_11gint' for user 'Ckr10ycOJN' denied".>
Ckr10ycOJN username in config.xml
node manager and managed servers are not root user process.
Please help me if have any suggestions.

Pls. make sure the following points in your environment.
1) Check '*nodemanager.domains*' file in <<WL_HOME>>\commo\nodemanager directory
     a) This file should have the entry for your domain 'dom_11gint'.
     b) Ensure the path referred in the nodemanager.domains file is correct one.
2) Ensure the following remote server startup parameters are passed properly.
     a) In the Admin Console, Navigate Servers --> <<SERVER_NAME>> -->Configuration --> Server Start
     b) Pass the required Class Path, Arguments, User Name, Password(User name and Password to boot the managed servers)

System tools tabs do not appear in admin console -web center sites

System tools tabs do not appear in admin console of web center sites.
I have set jdk path under serverstart menu of weblogic ,included classpath and preclasspath in setDomainEnv.cmd and have also inculded java_options under startweblogic.cmd ,still system tools tab do no appear.
how to resolve the issue.Please help.

Please mention below configuration in your setDomainEnv.bat file
set CLASSPATH=<Path to the sites installation directory>;%CLASSPATH%
set PRE_CLASSPATH=C:\bea\domains\CS\WEB-INF\lib\commons-lang-2.4.jar;%PRE_CLASSPATH%
please check the paths as per your installation directories.
restart server then check, it should come.

Reporting tab is not shown in the console

hi everyone
the reporting tab is not shown in the service manager console, the topology i am using is 2 servers [one for DW and the other for management server] both servers have their SQL server installed on each one, could you please tell me how i can start to get
this working or the steps i have to follow ?? isn't supposed to be working out of the box ? i have checked reporting services and they are running

Probably your report server is not pointing to the DWDATAMART database, try login to:
http://YourDWDatabase/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx?ItemPath=%2fSystemCenter%2fServiceManager&ViewMode=List
click on DWDATAMART Connection, under connection string, do you see your DWDATAMART DB name and server name?

SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 Client updates but not showing in Admin Console

I have updated my 5.00.7958.1000 client to Cumulative Update 1 (KB2938441). If I look on the client the version now says 5.00.7958.1203. My admin console when I click on the client still says 5.00.7958.1000. I tried update membership. It has
been a couple days since the update on the one. Another was early this morning. I have updated using the Patch and software package deployment. I have used the push installation to upgrade. In all cases, upgrade works, but in the console
the client versions are not changing and keeps saying version is the same.
Why wouldn't it update by now? This is crazy the time it is taking to show a new version has been installed/upgraded.
What process needs to happen? Are there specific logs for this data coming back to the console I can check?

We are a school district so the majority of our clients are intranet. Our WAN is connected with Gigabit connections. Single sccm primary site at center of the hub-n-spoke network topology. Server running Windows server 2012 w/ 4cpu and
16 GB RAM. Server running in VMware so we can easily increase spec if needed, so more interested in what the "common" configuration may be so I can test it with those settings first and adjust accordingly.
We have 3,500 clients, only 800 of which may go home the other stay on network at all times. A large number of those 3,500 are laptops that are in carts so they are not left on all the time so the different processes need to be somewhat frequent.
Additionally, it will be almost never that all those machines are on at the same time. Many could be sitting shutdown in the carts.
Please offer your opinion as to what good settings might be. I know they may not be perfect, but I can test them out.
Also checking the Client Settings under Administration workspace, I don't see all the same type of actions I do under the Client computer -> control panel -> configuration manager -> Actions tab. Are these configured elsewhere
or do they all fall under the "hardware inventory" and "software inventory" sections of the Administration -> Client Settings?

9 Box Grid Settings are not availaible through admin console

Hi ALL,
We are implementing Nakisa 3.0 SP1 here. While configuring Succession Planning, for Employees, 'Grid' option is not availaible through Administration Console. However the same is availaible for End USer under Employee>>Grid.
If I understand it correctly, this 'Grid' talks about Talent Management 9 Box Grid i.e. why 'Performance' & 'Potential' are given as X & Y axis.
Is this done for a purpose? If this is the case, how to configure settings for Grid?

Hi Prashant,
Grid settings can only be made in the XML files. You can make several changes in the XML file to affect various grid settings, which I have done at a few clients. You need to look for the listing configuration called DirectoryListing1_With_NineBox.xml.

Why fields are not shown in list form ?

Hello,
I have performed below steps to create list programmatically in my project :
Programmatically created content types having columns named – Contact Email,Contact Person,Location,Type and Postion.
I manually created list named test and attached above content type.
Issue: Content type has been created and attached to the list named
test.I added columns from content type to list via modify view.
However when I click on Add new item, I am unable to see the content type fields in the form.
I can see only inbuilt Title field in list form while above fields are not there.
Any idea what can be the possible reason for this and how to resolve it?

This note adds missing steps in the Med Rec (medrec) Tutorial 10
The tutorial shows how to use EJBGEN to generate EJB classes (incl java source) from .ejb files.
Unfortunately it is missing a few key details. These are described below.

Q: The tutorial includes deploying the manually generated physSessionEjb’s. After doing the step that generates the PhysSession*.java files, onefinds that when trying to deploy that there are no class files – nothing has been built. Are the class files supposed to be generated by the ejbgen step?
[Chris] No, EJBGen just generates the local and remote interfaces and descriptors only. An additional step should be added to explain how to build the newly generated EJBs. I believe you are correct in calling “src/physicianEar$ ant –f build.xml build”.
Q: Manually built the class files using ‘ant –f build.xml build’ in the physicianEar src dir – but that failed in the acc.split.dir step with class not found /org/apache/struts/action/ActionForm.
Obviously did not get the struts jars on the classpath. But as much of the build as completed did include creating the class files.
[Chris] Yes, it looks like struts.jar is not in the classpath. Is this the “build.split.dir” or “appc.split.dir” target? In either case, wlcompile and wlappc should recognized all libs in "${app-inf.dest.lib}" and append them to the compile/appc classpath automatically. The libs should have been copied during the “prepare” target. Can you make sure that struts.jar exists in c:/medrec_tutorial/build/physicianEar/APP-INF/lib? If not, re-run the target with verbose: “src/physicianEar$ ant -verbose -f build.xml build”, and make sure that the libs are copied in the “prepare” target.
Q: When doing the deploy step, we get no errors but on the console window and do not see the tutorial_deployment item under DeploymentsàEJB Modules. There is something under Deployments-->Applications --> tutorial_deployment. It appears the deploy failed since there’s nothing under Deployments --> EJB Modules, and what is there is ‘left over’ from deploying the jar (the ear?) that contains the stuff deployed by the deploy step at the start of tutorial 10.

Why 0FISCVARNT is not shown in Query Analyzer?

I have a cube, when I look at its dimensions from RSA1->Info provider under Time Dimension,
I see Fiscal Year, Fiscal year Variant and Fiscal Year Period.
But when I go to Query Analyzer and develop a query on it, under Dimensions Fiscal Year Variant is missing, why?

Are you creating query on info cube or multiprovider? Have you included info cube in multiprovider and identified the fiscal year variant in the multiprovider or not? If you are creating query directly on Info cube it is not possible that you won't see it.
Please check if you are creating queriy on proper info provider.

Why "Podcasts" is not shown in iTune Library as an item?

Lately when I did my usual iTune podcasts synching, I found "Podcasts" as an item in the Library on the up left panel is not there any more. Anybody know why and how to fix this problem? Thanks for help.

In iTunes, head to Edit -> Preferences. Then from under the General tab, make sure there is a tick mark next to Podcasts and any other items you want to appear in the left hand side bar of iTunes.

Why Images are not shown?

Hi How are all here ?I am using Crystal Reports in Visual Studio.net 2005. Now the problem is that Images are not loading in the web broweser. At runtime in visual studio.net 2005, the Images of Crystal Report Viewer are shown but the Image we insert in the picture box of Crystal Report, it does not show. But in the web browser after uploading web site using URL, it does not show images of Both i.e. CrystalReportViewer and Picture Box. What the problem is that? This has made me annoyed a lot. Anybody can help me please.

I had this problem (if I understand you correctly) and the problem was that the new Crystal Report Viewer toolbar was expecting the images to be in teh same folder as the website, but they are actually located one level up in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\CrystalReportWebFormViewer3 (or CrystalReportWebFormViewer4 if you're on VS2008).
To fix this, I copied the aspnet_client folder into the folder of my website, and everything is fine.

Super class methods not shown when Model is generated

I have some EJB's that return a result class, that extend a common class.
eg:
public class Result extends AResult implements Serializable {
method getMethodA();
method getMethodB();
public abstract class AResult implements Serializable{
method getMethodC();
This EJB has been exposed using a web services and I am trying to construct a model based on this WS.
The in the moded, while doing the context mapping i cannot see the
getMethodC()
from the superclass.
However the code for the model seems to be correct i.e. the proxy classes generated have the correct structure.
Anyone encountered this before? Is this a bug?

I am trying to execute the methods of another class using reflection. So I have to consider the inherited methods also. For that, I have to differentiate between standard classes & user-defined classes.Assume that u have one GUI screen where in once u select a class all its methods including inherited methods have to be displayed.
I can get the the superclass using the method getSuperClass(). But inorder to get the protected methods of superclass what is the method to be used ? If I use getMethods(), it returns only public methods, where as getDeclaredMethods() returns all the methods. Since I have to execute only public & protected methods, what is the best way to solve this ?
