XML Type Have High Disk Read

Question regarding XML data. When I query the following sql statement, the performance is fast. In addition, the explain plan shows that this query is efficient and utliizing all the indexes. However, when I query the v$sql table, I see that this query has very high physical read. Any idea as to why this query has a high physical read?

    This query was executed 1623 times so I guess that could explain the high disk reads? Does this mean that this query is not being stored in the buffer cache since the disk reads are high?

    From the oracle side you can obtain OS process id for sessions having some waits for user I/O
    select p.spid, s.sid, s.sql_id
    from v$session s, v$process p
    where s.paddr=p.addr
    and s.sid in
    select sid from v$session_wait
    where wait_class='User I/O'
    );and to see sessions that are currently waiting on user I/O use
    select p.spid, s.sid, s.sql_id
    from v$session s, v$process p
    where s.paddr=p.addr
    and s.sid in
    select sid from v$session_wait
    where wait_class='User I/O'

  • Disk read error occured (press Alt+cntrl+del)

    hi i am using hp envy 15 notebook.
    okay, when i neglected disk test(maybe so many times)from black screen, i have got disk read error occured.
    So i tried to enter in bios and do disk self test.
    But it mentioned 'quick'. it didnt come up the result which are fail or pass. just one message 'quick'with 303.
    is it corrupted my disk?
    and i tapped F2 to check up my start up and hard disk and system... the start up check was failed, hard disk test was failed and system was passed.
    Those tests i did on Hp advanced.
    So, i tapped Esc to use system recover when it was booting.
    after 25~30 minutes the hp recover was appeared.
    But the message said cant find partition.
    and i went to next step to use recover.
    but i could not choose recover section(two method) i could choose only command promt. So i could do anything for recover.because i didnt have hp recover kit plus.
    i know this is really happened... can you help me to solve this challenge...

    Hi SLOXI,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP ENVY Notebook and getting a blank or black screen on startup. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that does not help try to turn on the computer you start to press F11 repeatedly till the menu opens. You can do a system restore. Here is a link to overheating as this might be the cause of the shutting down. If that does not help at the end of this document it shows you to do a hardware test.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • I've read similar questions and answers, but I am still terrified to upgrade from leopard to snow leopard. The only reason I want to is because I received an iPad which requires an updated system. I have an external hard drive. I have the disks to upgrade

    I've read similar questions and have studied the answers, but I am still terrified to upgrade from leopard to snow leopard on my macbook pro. The only reason for doing it is in order to sync my macbook pro with my iPad. I do have an external drive which automatically backs up every hour. BUT.......I am techno-ignorant as well as techno-paranoid. I have the disks to update to snow leopard but knowing doing so may likely change/alter/lose/obliterate my current set-up, it actually makes me feel sick to think of it.
    Years ago when updating via Apple Protection Plan tech support, my screen actually went blank, everything gone! The tech told me not to worry, that "we" would be able to restore things, but several hours later I was still looking at a primitive looking screen that wasn't anything like what I had before. His language was too technical, in that there was an assumption I understood things I had zero understanding of. Example: partition my external drive.
    Anyway, living hundreds of miles from an Apple service provider, and no Apple techs in my community, I had to wait for a trip to an Apple Store where one of the wonderful guys at the genius bar spent a ton of time getting things back to normal and actually explaining it enough that I had a vague understanding.
    So now I am in the predicament again and won't know what to do after installing the new disks and finding a likely mess or absence of documents etc. on my computer. I don't know how to access the external drive, and even if I did I wouldn't know how to move stuff from that to my computer.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    I'm in the same boat as you, I've used Mac's since day one and neglected my Windows education and now it has come to haunt me as I have to learn it like a school kid.
    Nearly 99% of all businesses and nearly 95% of everyone use Windows, Steve Jobs declared "The desktop wars are over, Microsoft won" a long time ago.
    By 2015 tablets are going to be selling to consumers more than traditional computers, your living proof, you got a iPad.
    Apple has already discontinued the Xserver, the Xraid, the MacBooks and the 17" Macbook Pro.
    Apple has introduced BootCamp in OS X 10.6 and up, this allows a partition and drivers so one can install Windows on a Mac.
    https://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
    Why do you think they named it "BootCamp"
    You can't run a older OS X version longterm like you have with 10.5 anymore, Mac's are being targeted for attacks and older OS X versions are dropped for security updates.
    In fact your Mac might still be part of the 750,000 Mac strong Flashback botnet or infected.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_BackDoor.Flashback
    http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/04/how-to-check-forand-get-rid-ofa-mac-flashba ck-infection/
    See here, Apple has no security updates for 10.5 users and soon 10.6 is going to be ignored next.
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1222
    1-1.5 years is the OS X upgrade cycle. Change everytime like it or not.
    So I'm thinking about your long term future and how you obviously don't like change, need local assistance like it appears you first claimed.
    So buy a new Mac and upgrade your OS X version whenever Apple shows it in AppStore.
    When your machine can no longer upgrade to the newest OS X version, then you've got about another 2 more years of security updates before you have to buy a new machine or risk running a insecure one.
    Learn here how to go about fixing your own machine and creating backups/bootable clones this way your not having to drive several hundred miles for a software or boot drive repair. Simply reverse clone your troubles away.
    Most commonly used backup methods
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/notebooks/macbook_pro?view=documents
    I'm of the maturity and experience that I know a Mac isn't always the best solution for everyone and even Apple doesn't provide the proper hardware, support or features for everyone. Why only store locations in high traffic ritzy areas?
    Our SteveJobs fan here is under 18 years old with good eyes, he's not older like we are with bad or failing eyesight.
    The new Mac's  have hard to see glossy screens and the type/UI can't be scaled up easily to accomadate our older eyes, however a Windows 7 machine does allow up to 150% scale of the UI, type etc., and also there are anti-glare screen PC's and just about no more anti-glare screen Mac's.
    I wrote this User tip in case you have trouble seeing the screen, at least you can scale the web browsing up
    Web browsing for hard of seeing users
    Apple might still be selling the anti-glare 15" non-retina on their online store, it's the "high resolution/anti-glare model"
    But I can get a 17" 1080i HD anti-glare Windows 7 laptop at Sager for a lot more performance and screen size for the price than a Mac.
    https://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=category_browse&selected_cat=2
    Screen size is important as the UI and text can be scaled up for easier reading.
    Of course you do now have the option of having Windows pre-installed alongside OS X to begin your transition to the dark side.
    Just call and they will accomondate, hold the option/alt key at boot time to swtich operating systems.
    http://www.macmall.com/
    Windows 7 looks just as good as OS X, the secret is having a good monitor with most PC's come with don't.
    Good Luck and I hope I've given you a lot to think about.

  • Two classes have the same XML type name??? Please, help...

    Hello!
    I have a simple web service class. I generated the ws server-side classes using wsgen.
    I created a jar file from the generated code.
    Then :
    Endpoint endPoint = Endpoint.create(
    new WebServicesUnitImpl()
    String wsFinalName = "http://localhost:9999/akarmi";
    endPoint.publish( wsFinalName );
    The web service started fine.
    Then called wsimport, and the generated classes have been placed into a jar file.
    Then called the code like this:
    WebServicesUnitImplService service = new WebServicesUnitImplService();
    WebServicesUnitImpl unit = service.getWebServicesUnitImplPort();
    unit.serviceXXX();
    but the code doesn't work at all, resulting this error message:
    Two classes have the same XML type name "{http://ws.components.core.ilogique.vii.com/}getMessages". Use @XmlType.name and @XmlType.namespace to assign different names to them.
         this problem is related to the following location:
              at com.vii.ilogique.core.components.ws.GetMessages
              at public com.vii.ilogique.core.components.ws.GetMessages com.vii.ilogique.core.components.ws.ObjectFactory.createGetMessages()
              at com.vii.ilogique.core.components.ws.ObjectFactory
         this problem is related to the following location:
              at com.vii.ilogique.core.components.ws.GetMessages
    I have this error report on all generated class file! How can i fix this?
    What is the main problem? The SE usage? I copied the lates jax-ws jars into endorsed lib resulting the same.
    Any help is appreciate.

  • Disk reading is constantly high

    Hi there,
    My MBPis on Lion 10.7.2 MBP with 8Gb memory, 500Gb stock hard disk.
    First I only noticed that the Inactive memory is quite high all the time (around 4-6Gb) but that didn't bother me as this can/will speed up the launch of the apps...
    After a lot of strand-balls I looked at the Activity monitor, and it showed (and still is showing) disk reads about 20-50MB/sec constantly.
    Repaired permissions, restarted but nothing. It still keeps reading the disk, but I can't figure out what it can be. When I started the Permission repair it stopped for 1-4 minutes but after that it started again.
    I searched the forum, but I haven't found any relevant topic to this.
    Any help would be appreciated as this is really annoying, since I can not work waiting 1-2 minutes to be able to read an email/notification....
    Cheers
    Kristof

    Just to give pssible solution to anyone.
    My problem was solved after removing flash and straight at restart safe-booting and repairing disk permissions.
    (Although I have repaired the disk permissions many times in normal use it didn't help. It gave the same output in safe mode as it did in normal boot)
    Worth a try if you encounter the same problem.

    We need to create XSDs and needs to do the Marshalling and unmarshalling with the existing code in our project(like as above example code), code does not have any annotations like "@XmlRootElement/@XmlType" and we can not able to change the source code.
    I would like to know is there any solution to fix the above issue or any other ways to create XSDs and marshaling/unmarshalling(like MOXy..etc)?
    It would be great if i can get the solution from any one....May thanks in advance.

  • Anyone have example to read and write XML to/from file

    I am writing a swing utility and need to save and read data in XML. I have looked around google, but the examples are just confusing me.
    Jonathan

    Do these xml docs have dtd's? And specific DOM implementation needs or just a custom xml?
    I have some examples in http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/mathml-x/mathml-x/src/com/neuralworks/physics/Academy.java?view=markup
    follow openMenuItemActionPerformed and openFEMMLDocument(String filePath). Look for DocumentBuilder
                DocumentBuilderFactory factory =
                DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    /*            factory.setAttribute("element.factory",
                                     ELEMENT_FACTORY);
                factory.setAttribute("attribute.factory",
                                     ATTR_FACTORY);
                DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
                //builder.setEntityResolver(new X3DEntityResolver());
                //builder.setErrorHandler(new X3DErrorHandler());
                femDoc = findXMLFile(builder, filePath);
                org.w3c.dom.Element docElement=femDoc.getDocumentElement();
                javax.swing.tree.DefaultMutableTreeNode dmtn=new javax.swing.tree.DefaultMutableTreeNode("FEMML");
                javax.swing.tree.DefaultMutableTreeNode svgChild=new javax.swing.tree.DefaultMutableTreeNode(docElement.getNodeName());
                //System.out.println(svgDocument.getTitle()+" nv "+svgSVGElement.getNodeValue());
                //recurseDOM2TreeNodes(svgChild, docElement.getChildNodes());
                dmtn.add(svgChild);
                JTree tree=new JTree(new javax.swing.tree.DefaultTreeModel(dmtn));
                tree.setRootVisible(true);
                tree.setShowsRootHandles(true);
                tree.setEditable(true);
                //try
                    //X3DTreeAdapter x3dTreeAdapter=new X3DTreeAdapter(x3dDTDParser.parse());
                    //org.web3d.x3d.dom.swing.DOMTreeCellEditor domTreeCellEditor=new org.web3d.x3d.dom.swing.DOMTreeCellEditor();
                    //tree.setCellEditor(domTreeCellEditor);
                    //org.web3d.x3d.dom.swing.DOMTreeCellRenderer domTreeCellRenderer=new org.web3d.x3d.dom.swing.DOMTreeCellRenderer();
                    //domTreeCellRenderer.addMouseListener(x3dTreeAdapter);
                    //domTreeCellRenderer.addMouseMotionListener(x3dTreeAdapter);
                    //tree.setCellRenderer(domTreeCellRenderer);
                    //tree.addMouseListener(x3dTreeAdapter);
                    //tree.addMouseMotionListener(x3dTreeAdapter);
                    academicSplitPane.setLeftComponent(new JScrollPane(tree));Lot of commented out stuff I need to clean up. There are other examples of opening specific xml docs that have special DOM implementations; svg and mathml for example.
    For saving I use xslt with an identity transform to go from an in memory DOM source to an xml document on disk.
    Follow the saveAs(String filePath) method and the identity.xsl is http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/mathml-x/mathml-x/stylesheets/identity.xsl?rev=1.2&view=markup

    Yeah it has been eight months. the problem is that i had an HDD before that one it stops working because of a fall and obviously that one didn't work on my computer and neither on others so I bought a new onethat has no defect since it works perfectly on other computers Mac and PC but doesn't show up on mind I can't access my files like I told you previously and the funny fact for me is that DU can see i have a disk connected.
    PS: i did run first aid ----> verify disk---> Repair----> and try to mount again-----> but same mount failed result
    Sig Really appreciate your attention to my case, hopefully there's a solution.

  • I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

    I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

    Yes, you can do all of that via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data, if you have Acrobat.
    If you only have the free Reader then you can still do it, but it requires a script.

  • Check process generating high disk I/O read

    Hi Gurus,
    In Solaris 8, which command can I use to check the process that is generating high disk IO read ?
    Mav

    I do not know which file is generating high disk IO read.
    Is there a command to check which process is generating more Disk IO read ?
    I'm using iostat to check Disk IO read every 15 minutes and output to a log file. But I'm unable to determine
    which process is causing high Disk IO read at times.

    Terribly sorry Joseph Kriz. I had absolutley no intention of annoying anyone. This was the first time I have been communicating in a discussion group, and as I wrote my comments I had no idea how my typing would reflect and where my question would be going. Hope my unintentional typing will be forgiven and causes no further agitation.The only additional comment I can make on your response is that "I do not use capital letters or CAPS LOCK while I try to enter my administrator password". Thank you for guiding me
