11.6.602.180 wont play you tube videos
I am running MS Windows XP Professional X64 (Server2003) SP 2 Build 3790 / 5.2.3790 and internet explorer seven 7.05730.13 and have installed flash player 11.6.602.180
The above OS runs WOW Windows on windows as a standard feature and is capable running (and does run) both 32 bit and 64 bit programes
Flash is not recognised by the Flash player in 3 steps screen and when attempting to play videos on YouTube I get a dialouge which reads: "You need Adobe Flash player to watch this video Download it from Adobe"
"And You are using an outdated browser which youtube no longer supports "
Which is odd because I got the same result with IE 8 and an adjacent machine running IE8 and XP 32 bit works perfectly
Does anyone have any idea why it is not working ?
What do you see instead of the expected Flash content?

I live in the Atlanta area. I use Internet Explorer and have Windows 7. I can't play You Tube videos. I keep getting this message: An error occurred, please try again later. Please help!
First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative. -

I have the iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G but it's not currently on my Verizon plan - only connects via home wireless internet. I'm confused as to why I've never been able to successfully play/view any kind of video via the internet? The video loads and begins to play...but about 10 seconds in...it hangs up and then I have to play a cat and mouse game of pause/play to get it to 'load' a little bit more...and finally about 60 seconds worth I throw in the towel and head for the iPhone or my Mac. So what gives? My iPad does so much...even plays videos I TAKE. Why won't it play You Tube videos???!!! Is that Icon on my Home Screen just to taunt me and store the videos I'll never be able to view more than 10 seconds???
Please help guide me to the simple fix.
Recent convert to all things Apple,
3TrievsTry viewing youtube from the browser and going to youtube.com rather than using the YouTube app.
Also, try at different times of day and report back. Where I am, by 7pm the cable modem slows down considerably with all the Netflix viewing. I swear Comcast is throttling bandwidth for video streaming! -
Monitor won't enter power save after playing You Tube videos...
Hi
An issue has developed on my system in the last couple of months for which, after having done a lot of research and testing, a solution has not been found. After playing a video in You Tube, my monitor won't go into power save mode after the prescribed time. It tries to go off for a second and the screen goes blank but then comes straight on again. This happens after playing the You Tube videos in Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I am running Windows XP Professional and I have the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer installed, the latest graphics card drivers, the latest version of direct x 9.0c.
To clear this error, I have to go into my XP power schemes settings and change it to another power scheme and then change it back to my default power scheme. However, as soon as I play another you tube video the same problem re-occurs.
I have tried turning off hardware acceleration but this makes no difference. My graphics card is a Gigabyte gv-nx86t512h: http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2604#ov
This never used to happen until recently. It seems that there is something with the Flashplayer that is not compatible with Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer etc.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this and what can be done to overcome it would be greatly appreciated as it is a real nuisance.
Many thanks.
Dthanks for your suggestions.
i found the solution/workaround from somone else on the adobe forums:
Go to control panel, display, screen saver, choose a random screen saver, set a long time (i.e. 60 min, but always longer than your monitor shut off time), then select no screen saver, and save! Simple as that… -
No sound when playing you tube videos
recently the sound stopped playing with the you tube videos.
The sound for other stuff works find, ads from a newspaper, itunes, web sites, just you tube.
Any advice as to where to look in you tube or a plug in that you tube requires in order to play the audio.
Again the video plays fine.
Thanks

iOS: Troubleshooting apps purchased from the App Store
The article will talk about closing the app, deleting the app and reinstalling it and resetting/rebooting the iPad like I suggested. Sometimes another app could be causing a conflict, so you might want to try closing all apps and restart the iPad. Closing apps is covered in the article.
One other thing that you could try is Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will not lose any data, but you will have to enter all of the device settings again. -
My 9300 does not play you tube videos
Hi, my 9300's browser not let me watch you tube videos, a message that says I have to download flash player addobe and have not found on the web where to download it. Is there another way to play them?
Close all apps and reboot the iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Cant play you tube videos on bt infinity
video just pauses and wont play
Go to menu>settings>configuration>personal configuration settings. In that select options and add new and select streaming. Keep whatever default values are there and save it. Once its saved select it and activate it from options. Now try streaming you tube videos. If still not working, try installing you tube mobile app as well.

Why is my computer is struggling to play "you tube" videos
Hold down the option key and select the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar. What values are shown for the following?
PHY Mode
Channel
Security
Signal/Noise or RSSI
Transmit Rate
Please do not post the BSSID, as that information is private.
Now hold down the option key again and select

I have an ipad2. When connected to my wifi at home it will not download you tube videos for easy viewing. Do I need to upgrade my connection speed? Would 3 Mbps be enought or do I need to go to 6 Mbps. I mainly use my ipad to view emails, browse the internet and watch you tube videos.
thanks - MichelleWelcome to Apple Support Communities.
There are a number of factors in the 'speed' equation. Any or all of them can affect the 'observed' speed of your connection.
1. Are you in a neighborhood full of WiFi routers (and thus, lots of WiFi interference)? I can 'see' at least 22 other WiFi routers from my living room!
2. What is the maximum connect speed and band and bandwidth available from your wireless router. Is it 802.11n or the older 802.11a/b/g? 300Mbits or 150Mbits? 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz or both? Does your router measure (QoS) Quality of Service and can it change 'channels' automatically?
3. What is the observed strength of your wireless connection? Are you getting at least 80% signal when connected? Are there other people in your family also using significant bandwidth at the same time (Netflix, streaming video, streaming audio, game systems)
4. What is the "advertised" speed of your current ISP connection?
5. What is the measured throughput of your current setup. Go to speedtest.net or use the free speedtest.net app available in the App Store. Try several times, from different locations in your home, and at different times of day and night.
I have AT&T DSL advertised at 3Mbit/sec down and 512Kbit/sec up. My Speedtest.net measured throughput is about 2.4 Mbit/sec downstream and upstream is about 0.4Mbit/sec. I'm using a Motorola Netopia 2210-2 DSL modem. I have no problem viewing YouTube videos and other mobile video content on the iPad 2. I'm connected wirelessly to a D-Link DIR-655 Gigabit router rated at 150Mbps at 2.4Ghz (only) with 802.11 b/g/n enabled. The interior of my home is within a range of 30-50 feet from the router and no more than 1 wall. It is a single level concrete slab foundation of about 1500 sq. ft. with cathedral ceilings. I have successfully streamed ESPN3.com on my MacBook at the same time my son was streaming another ESPN3.com game on his MacBook Pro. I've streamed YouTube videos while my son was watching a NetFlix movie on his Wii game system. He's also successfully used Skype for extended 'teleconferences.' None of my devices are connected to HDMI on a large screen TV. 95% of the time, I can do iChat video without any signal breakup to my son (who is at a college with a Gigabit (1000Mbit) wired connection!). 5% of the time the connection drops. We haven't tried FaceTime (designed for mobile connections to be much less bandwidth-intensive, from what I understand) simply because we both have iChat on our computers.
So for me, a 3Mbit DSL connection is absolutely adequate, given all the other parameters mentioned. As the car manufacturers say, "Your mileage may vary."

Firefox crashing when playing You Tube videos
Just another crash report I got concerning the many crashes I have had lately while using Firefox 3.6.3 to watch You Tube videos. It crashes on several different You Tube channel videos, and it crashes when I attempt to watch playlists that I have created. It also crashes even faster when I am watching on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

ID: fb817f25-4a61-4970-a331-b2ce32100528 Signature: nsStringBundleService::Release()Could you paste additional crash ID's in this thread? The report you submitted is nonspecific, so having more would help.
There are a few things you can try that might fix it:
# [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]: Disable your add-ons one at a time to see if one is at fault
# Upgrade to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html Firefox 3.6.4 beta], which prevents Flash from crashing the main Firefox process.
