12 days of Christmas iTunes store offer

I've been trying to sign up to this for 3 days now! I've tried in all ways possible and always receive a 'fatal error' followed by lots of code. I've also e-mailed Apple, but received no reply. I really don't want to miss out on these freebies - any ideas?!

Mine has more or less been fine, I've been able to download all of the past videos/shows. The links on the capital radio or guardian websites don't work for me but the one on the official http://www.itunes12daysofchristmas.co.uk/ website works for me.
The problem is though, that the latest freebie (Katy Perry - Hot 'n' Cold Video) shows up in iTunes as being £1.89 even though it's today's free download, so I dont want to click it and loose £1.89 in these credit crunching times!

I tookyour suggestion and SUCCESS!  I can now access the Itunes Store.  A simple fix, and thanks so much!!.
Below is the advice you forwarded:
I found a solution to my problem.
    > start menu
    > accessories,
    > right click on the command prompt icon and choose "run as administrator".
Once it opens, type in the following command...
    netsh winsock reset
    hit enter
You should get a message that the winsock reset successful and you will need to reboot your computer.
Reboot and when I reloaded itunes the store loaded fine.

  • Hello. i just had a problem the other day with the itunes store

Hello. i just had a problem the other day with the itunes store it just wont install games to my iphone and ipad anymore when i try to install and then apply it syncs the phone then backs it up and thats it in my computer i find that my games are installed but in phone there's realy nothing changing plz help ?

No, Firefox keeps the cache index files in memory during the session and only writes that data to disk if Firefox closes properly. If that didn't happen and Firefox finds the dirty cache flag still set then the cache gets deleted (moved to the Trash folder) and a new cache is created to avoid issues with an inconsistent cache.

  • Over thirty emails in one day from the itunes store.

I've happily received one or two emails a week from the itunes store for years.
But today I've received nearly thirty and they are still coming. They are mostly all different but there have been a few duplicates. This is just spam. I've repeatedly asked to be unsubscribed as I'd rather not get any than this constant stream.
Is anyone else getting spammed to death by the store today? I'm in the UK but a few seem to be coming from the US store as well though I don't know why as we can't buy anything from the US store in the UK.

Go to the myInfo page at - https://myinfo.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyInfo.woa - and login then go to the 'subscriptions' and 'contact' tabs and turn off the correct check box.
You can also give feedback to the iTS from the main iTunes drop-down menu. Sounds like a bug.

  • Why the ipad ranking is missing for few days in some itunes stores ?

Are you aware of some modification in the itunes store concerning ipad ? As I am spending marketing money to promote ipad app. I need this ranking.
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help! Yes, they are available but in the German iTunes Store only. Some older songs are available even in the US iTunes Store, but not the new songs from those German artists mentioned above.
I cannot provide a German billing/paying info because I live in California. I would like to switch over to the German iTunes store to buy the albums available there, however, I do have a German iTunes Card but you still need to provide a valid card (visa, master card etc) to purchase songs from the German iTunes Store (I wish the German iTunes gift card itself  would be enough, this would make everything easy for many people).
Please help me out and do I need to create a new Apple ID associated ONLY with the German iTunes Store?
    Thanks,

  • I had THREE YEARS of The Moth episodes... the iTunes store offers me the last 5 only.  ***?

iTunes 11.1 deleted my podcasts, now the iTunes Store thinks they don't exist?
I'm angry as it is that Apple somehow missed a bug that caused iTunes to delete hundreds of saved This American Life podcasts.. that iTunes conveniently now wants to charge me $.99 apiece for now.  Neither This American Life nor The Moth are showing more than the last few episodes in the iTunes store, and I KNOW there are years of back episodes available.  I tried to download straight from PRI, but it sent me back to Apple.
Seriously, guys?  First you delete my personal files (without even ASKING?? Really?) and now you've made it impossible to get them back?  Fix it!

Firstly... This is a User to User Forum, you are not addressing Apple here.

  • HT204088 I have buyed whts app for 55 n i have got the receipt on email.. Other then tht i have been charged 60rs two times on same day frim apple itunes store i dont know for wht reason?reply asap

    I need reply asap thnx

Did you add or change the credit card details on your account a couple of times when buying that app ? If you did then each time that you did so you will probably have received a temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active - they should disappear within a few days

  • Why does itunes store offer an absolutely limited and main stream selection of movies?

my search outcomes regarding movies are mostly fruitless (btw the search engine needs a lot of improvement, eg providing similar suggestions or searching similar words) because the selection is poor, limited and totally mainstream. guess cinema lovers need to go somewhere else until you fix this.

You can make content requests to the Store, if you like. Here's a link to the Store requests form:

  • HT2311 I buy a copy of a Mountain Lion OS X 3 days ago, from iTune store, how I can check whether my copy is complete?

Where I checked my new Mountain Lion OS X?

Why would you think it wasn't complete? Just double-click the installer - if it opens it's OK. If it's an incomplete download it won't open and you will have to re-download it.

  • App store, safari, itunes store, and icloud not working osx 10.8

    Hey,
I have a retina macbook pro 13" that i bought in january. It has been running perfectly fine until a few days ago the itunes store wouldnt load at all, no matter how long i let it load, only the 'Itunes Store" splashback page showed. I then also realised that the App store had similar problems, only it wasnt loading and returning an 'insecure connection' message. After searching a few forums and trying to solve the issues, it led me to test safari, which is also not working. The loading bar stops about an 8th of the way and doesnt load any further. Also imessages are no longer being pushed from my phone to my computer. This is not an issue with my internet or router, all other internet browsers work perfectly, and the problem persists when i disconnect from my home network and connect to a personal hotspot from my phone. There seems to be quite a bit of talk about this problem, but very little on a solution. i was hoping someone could help me maybe come up with a solution before i restore my macbook or take a trip to the apple store.
    Thanks,
    Pat

Try the Combo update from the Apple Support page - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640.

  • Repost: Still having problems w/ Safari 4 freezing from iTunes Store links

    Hey all,
A week ago I posted about having problems with links from the iTunes store. A helpful user suggested I use the Onyx application to reset all caches, etc. I did, and my problem was solved...
... or so I thought. Within a day, a new iTunes store link froze Safari. I used Onyx again, and again it seemed to solve the problem. Until today, when again, iTunes store links freeze Safari.
I can't figure out what might be causing it. I've eliminated all Safari extraneous extension/plug-ins, and the websites I haven't been visiting any "weird" websites.
I'll describe the problem again to see if a fresh perspective can help.
Ever since the Safari 4 beta (I now have the full Safari 4), any iTunes store link will freeze Safari. The link could be a webloc from my hard drive, a link from another web page, anything. A new window/tab will open with the grey box that says, "Loading." This is where it freezes. I do not have a spinning beach ball, and right-clicking on the dock icon does not say Safari is unresponsive. However, Safari will not respond to commands. Clicking on the dock icon does not bring Safari to the front, and if I have Safari in front anyway, menu options will not work. I can't close the window, click in anything on said window, switch to another window... nothing. My only solution is to force quit.
For the record, I'm running Safari 4 on a Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver, yes, I know, it's ancient) with OS X 10.4.11. I have all the security updates.
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!!

  • ITunes store will not load. Im at a loss

For about 3 days now the iTunes store will not load. It merely reaches this point:
    +One Moment Please.+
    +Connecting to the iTunes Store.+
    Loading
+If iTunes doesn't open, click the iTunes application icon in your Dock or Windows Task Bar.+
(note this message is not from Safari it is from the iTunes Store window in iTunes) I have looked at the FAQ on this site and it's best suggestion was to reset the keychain which I have done, and to check that I have the latest iTunes which I think I do. (iTunes 9.0.3 (15)) Yet it has not worked.
When I try to update my applications for my iTouch it comes up with a message box saying:
+Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy.+
+Check your Internet connection or try again later+
As I said I have waited 3 days for the iTunes store not to be busy. I'm fairly new to macs so don't even really know how to go about diagnosing the issue or posting logs for you guys to look at if that would even help?
So your advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Brad

iTunes 9+ uses the Safari 4.0.3 or higher engine to connect to the iTunes Store. Check if your Safari is up to date. If you need an update, get it here (be sure to tick the Snow Leopard version): http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
Also, check in Safari > Preferences > Security and check that your cookies setting is either Always or Only from sites I visit.
If your problem still persists, look at this document for some solutions: iTunes for Mac: Possible iTunes Store errors, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1412

  • We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

Please can someone help. I keep on getting this when I try and buy a song or upgrade my iPhone aps. I have got the latest iTunes on my 15" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.5 (12F37). Last week I changed my password on //appleid.apple.com I could the access my account in iTunes. I have tried to log on to my account / view my account in itunes / buy a song and tried upgrading my apps, but I can't do anything now. it is frustrating. Please, please, please can someone help. :-)

Unsure if this will help anyone but I had the same problem with the message always coming up when I tried to login: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
What I couldn't understand was that I could log into iTunes online, but not through the iTunes app, becoming very frustrated I went to drastic measures to get everything working again - although I found this post after I had success.
To add to the issue, my iPhone (4S - iOS7) was visible on iTunes (latest version), but some of my apps had failed to sync (showing grey on my iPhone and being unable to delete them), causing further issues and adding to my frustrations....which attributed to the drastic measures posted below.
(You may want to try following the above posts before following my method)
**** Apple support provided me with an email containing many links, all of which didn't really help me, but I'll post anyway, just incase they assist someone else:
    "Dear Luke,
Thank you for writing to iTunes Store Customer Support, my name is Indra and I'll be assisting to you with your concern.
I understand that you are unable to login to your iTunes store account and getting message that the iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. I can imagine you must be eager to access your account and I will do my best to resolve this issue.
Luke, as an advisor for the iTunes Store, I handle issues related to billing, downloading, customer accounts, and the items available on the iTunes Store. Although your question falls outside of my area of specialty, I will be happy to assist you with resolving your issue.
I have verified that the iTunes Store is functioning and accepting connections. The issue could have been temporary, related to your internet connection, your local network, or your computer itself. If you’re still unable to connect, this article outlines some potential solutions:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
These articles have helped other Windows users resolve connection issues:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes Store connection troubleshooting

iTunes for Windows: Could not establish a secure connection to the iTunes Store

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490
    iTunes: Troubleshooting security software issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125
Firewall, virus-protection, and web-acceleration software can prevent you from connecting to the iTunes Store. You might not be able to connect even if the software appears to be configured to allow full access to the iTunes Store. You can use the MSCONFIG utility to determine if software on your computer is preventing access to the iTunes Store. For detailed instructions, please refer to the following article:
Using Msconfig to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows Vista and Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292
If the articles above don't help you connect to the iTunes Store, I suggest testing to see if this issue occurs while you are signed in to a new user account on your computer. To learn how to create a new user account in your version of Windows, please read the article below for your operating system:
How to create and configure user accounts in Windows XP
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279783
Windows Vista: Create a user account
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Create-a-user-account
Windows 7: Create a user account
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Create-a-user-account
Windows 8: Create a user account
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-user-account
Once you are signed in to this new user account, open iTunes and try to connect to the iTunes Store. If you can connect without error, then you’ve identified that the issue is with the previous user account that you were using. You may want to consider adopting this new account as your user account and transferring your files from the old account to your new one.

But if the above doesn't work for you then you can follow my method...in the end, I perfomed the following actions which did work:
1).  Uninstalled iTunes from my computer (via Control Panel > Programs & Features)
2).  Located the iTunes folder containing media, Previous Libraries etc (normally located under your Music folder) and simply moved it to my desktop. (can't afford to delete)
    3). Downloaded iTunes.
4). Plugged my iPhone into my laptop and moved all contents across to my desktop (photo's).
5). Restored my iPhone erasing ALL data (extreme but desperate measures were required) - you may want to back it up, but I personally didn't have anything that I couldn't afford to loose on it.
6). Set-up my iPhone (set language etc...) including iCloud, but did not plug it into my laptop.
7). Chose the following iPhone settings>
              > iCloud - Contacts turned off
              > Mail, Contacts, Calendars - iCloud Contacts turned off (same end result)
              > iTunes & App Store - made sure I was logged in via Apple ID.
    7). Closed Outlook.
8). Re-installed iTunes, saving it on the C:> default location.
9). Followed the normal iTunes install prompts, setting it up as new. (making sure I had NO apps or music - clean slate)
10). Plugged my iPhone into my laptop, waiting for it to appear as it normally does.
11). Checked for iOS updates and iTunes updates (all good)
12). Checked Sync Contacts with Outlook (opening Outlook at the same time) - Calendars I left to the iCloud
13). APPLY....once sync finally completed (this time SUCCESSFUL) I was able to click iTunes Store and LOG IN.....finally!
I probably didn't have to perform all 13 steps, but that's exactly what I did to get everything working again!
There is probably someone out there who will be able to explain why I couldn't login to iTunes, why many of my apps didn't load onto my iPhone correctly, why everything failed to sync and probably able to shorten the above 13 steps to a quick fix.... but for now, everything is finally working and my 48hrs of frustration has come to an stress free end!

  • Itunes store white screen problem

Do i have to update anything on my itunes account or do i just wait for my lucky day for the itunes store to appear? i have been trying for over a week now.
    please help

MIght be an extension or plugin ...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not an extension, back to Safari> Preferences, select the Security tab. Deslect:  Enable plug-ins
Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, you need to troubleshoot Safari add ons > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
