2 apple products sync to same computer

my brother has his ipod touch sync to my mum's laptop, she has recently got an iphone and wants my brother ipod off her computer. How do i remove the ipod touch so it can be snyc to another laptop?

Just connect the iPod to the other computer. It'll say that the iPod has been synched to another iTunes library. Just make sure that all the content your brother wants to have on the iPod are in iTunes on that new computer. See this support article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
He can also download most of his content (the notable exceptions being movies, some of which can be redownloaded if you're in the US, and audiobooks) again from the iTunes Store:

For content not purchased from the iTunes Store, check out this post from Zevoneer for some iPod/iPhone media recovery options:

Update it from the original Apple ID or delete and redownload the applications when signed into another one; the second option may require repurchasing them.

I recently updated to Yosemite and never had this issue before.

I'm not 100% sure of the ins and outs, but it's some sort of known issue between Yosemite, Airport and wifi. All you can do is wait for a fix and keep restarting your equipment as and when needed, unless you have the ability to connect your Mac via ethernet.

Yes, if you create 2 seperate user accounts.

  • I have two iphones and I want to use two different apple IDs on the same computer without any syncing of the two phones?

I have two iPhones. How do I have two seperate apple ID's on one computer without them syncing.

You can either do as sberman suggested - create separate User logons on the computer
    or
You can make sure that you are syncing Contacts, Calendars, and Mail via the individual iCloud accounts.
Then, for Apps, Music, Movies, Books, Photos, etc. you would set up each individual iPhone's options to only sync what you want to have loaded to each of the phones from the iTunes and Photo libraries. You do this by setting up the individual Device Profile pages to have only what is selected for that particular device. When you hook the device up via a USB cord, you will see the device Profile pages to the right of the sidebar. Select each Profile page and set it up as desired for the particular device.
Also, turn off Automatic downloads in Settings>iTunes & Apps Store>Automatic Downloads on each device.
    Cheers,

  • I have 6 apple products on the same password. How do I go about splitting them up and creating another password?

Any suggestions on how to create a second apple password and split up the apple products so not all the information is sync to all 6 products?

I assume you mean that they are all sharing the same iCloud account.  To separate them, you will have to delete the existing iCloud account, set up a new iCloud account with a different ID, then migrate the data to the new account.  Note: you can continue to share the same ID for purchasing; it does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.
Decide which device(s) will be keeping the current iCloud account.  On the others, if you they any photos in the my photo stream album that are not in the camera roll or backed up somewhere else, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The device[s] that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My [iDevice].  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to if you have any data in any of the accounts that you don't want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it.

  • How to gt two apple Id's on same computer

Hi there , how do you create two iTunes accounts on the same computer, thanks Anders

Create a second Apple ID: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2731.  But iTunes can only be signed into a single ID at a time (although your computer can be authorized to play and sync media purchased with multiple IDs in Store>Authorize this Computer).

  • Multiple Apple IDs on the same computer

We have three separate Apple IDs in our family and I need to store the iTunes media for each on the same desktop (under separate Windows user accounts).  When I start to download the media for a second account on the computer, I get a message that the computer is already associated with an Apple ID and if I continue the download, I won't be able to download content for the first account for 90 days.  How do I set up the respective Apple IDs and iTunes libraries so all three users can store and access their own content from their individual Windows accounts?

  • Multiple Users Syncing on Same Computer

Is it possible to allow multiple users to sync their Palm Pilots to their individual oracle calendar account on the same computer? I have fifteen palms syncing on the my computer and I want each of them to connect to a different oracle calendar username.
    Thanks

    Hi,
if you really want to be sure, that there is no confusion when synchronizing the iPad or your 4G you should create a second iTunes library. Just hold down the Shift button when opening iTunes. You'll be asked if you want to create a new library, or open an existing one.
This way you can switch between the libraries and no one of your data will be loaded on the iPad or vice-versa.
It shouldn't be a problem if the iPad is not synced with iTunes for 3-4 months.

  • Can we share apps and songs with two different apple IDs but the same computer?

we both got an iPod Touch for Christmas and we have two seperate Apple IDs and I cant figure out if the music she has purchased and the music i have purchased can be combined. We are using the same computer (windows 7) and same user acct. We also have itunes gift cards and before we start buying stuff i want to know how this all works. Thanks in advance and I must admit i am new to apple and not the greatest at it.

I've tried everything..unplugging and re-setting the Apple TV, restoring to factory settings and starting over...nothing seems to work. I'm not sure why the software upgrade would have affected it, but that's what triggered this problem. It doesn't seem right that if it's accessible on my computer and it's all music purchased by me, that it's not all accessible on my Apple TV!

  • Rev2:  2 Apple IDs on the same computer?

My partner has her own Apple ID/account and her own Mac running 10.7.  She uses the Mac App Store.
I have my own Apple ID/account and an iPhone running iOS 5.1.  I also have a Mac running 10.5 and I will upgrade that later (compatibility issues).
I have a second user account on her computer.  (you know, System Prefs / Accounts).
When I am logged on my account on her computer, I want to use the App Store to buy Angry Birds.  She doesn't like it, and doesn't want to pay for it on her account.  She could care less if it's installed in my account / the computer.
I want to use my Apple ID/account to pay for it, so, when I upgrade my computer, I can install it there instead.
    With me so far?
OK I am trying to buy it.  The App Store is fighting me, re-asking all these questions relating to my Apple account that I've already answered on my main computer.   (yes, it's my account, for sure.)
And I found this thing in the App Store Terms and Conditions:
(ii) An Associated Device can be associated with only one Account at any given time.
(iii) You may switch an Associated Device to a different Account only once every 90 days.
So hold on a minute. Is this "Associated Device" her COMPUTER?
Can we NOT have her Apple-ID-bought apps on her login account and mine on mine on the same computer?
If I buy Angry Birds, will I be switching her computer to be associated with my ID instead of hers?    Will that break her installed apps?  Break her ability to buy new apps with her account?   Break her ability to listen to her own iTunes?
    Help!!!

    1. Yes, the content from more than one Apple ID can be installed on the same computer. The proviso is that the computer must be authorized in the iTunes App/Store menu to use the content.
    2. The reason that you are being asked additional information is because this is the first time that you have used this computer to access your iTunes account. Apple has strengthened its security procedures to prevent folks having their accounts hacked. It is legitimate and you are not being scammed. Apple has also added additional security questions and when Apple has obtained new content licenses for the things sold in the iTunes stores we all must sign new user agreements.
    3. Anything that you agree to regarding using and authorizing your account on your GFs computer has no consequence regarding her account with Apple.

  • IPad 2/iPhone 4S syncing to same computer issues

    I have a few questions:
I was having issues with syncing my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S to the same computer...I ended up getting the same apps synced on both, but not music? and I can move around/edit apps on the iPhone through iTunes, but the iPad is shaded and won't let me do it unless I sync to the computer, but wouldn't that delete my iPad specific apps? (Namely worried about Angry Birds HD and whether or not it would save my progress other than in GameCenter). I suppose it's because I synced the iPhone to the computer first, but I don't want to erase everything on my iPad and replace it with what's on the iPhone, which seems impossible. I saw a tutorial about saving two different iTunes libraries to your computer, but it sounded a little complicated and I'm just worried about losing apps/music from my iPad...
I know iPhone apps can be used on iPad, but is there any possible way to get iPad apps onto the iPhone?
Also, would iTunes Match/iCloud be worth the $24.99?

Did this ever get solved? I have the same issue with my iPhone 5 and iPad 3. It's a choppy connection over wifi. If I do a speedtest, iPhone gets a smooth connection with 26 Mbps download speed, but my iPad will hardly go above 3 Mbps and it cuts in and out the entire time it's testing

  • 2 iphones sync on same computer & our texts get mixed up within AT&T network...

My husband & I both have iphones (he has the iPhone 4 & I have his old iPhone 3S) that we sync on the same itunes on the same computer. Recently, our text messages have been mixed up but only with one other of our friends. If she texts either one of us, we don't receive her texts even though they show up as "Delivered" in iMessage. If either one of us text her, it shows up with my husband's name on it & since this started happening, she has old threads of texts from him & a new thread that says it's from him but they're actually coming from my phone. sometimes my texts to her show up as my name. but the only way she can get a text to either of us is by responding to that one separate thread & it randomly will go through to my husband & he can respond. sometimes it comes to me & i can respond. but we cannot start new text threads & she cannot send any text messages to my number directly. anyone else encounter this? AT&T says it's not their system. She has never synced with our computer & she is the only friend experiencing this. any ideas?

nope. we used to be, but i've got my own now but have had my own for almost a year. this only started happening about 4 weeks ago. both of our phones were updated long before then when this last update came out, so nothing has changed that we can find to have sparked this.

  • Two apple Ids syncing with one computer

I am trying to get all the music I have purchased within the last 2 years, all $400 worth of it between two apple accounts,  Unfortunatley stupid apple wont let me authorize two apple ids to my one computer....so how the **** can I get access to my content that I PAID FOR!?!?! I have to back up every single one of my songs because they are going to be removed from my ipod when I update it.  Why the **** does apple do this?  How the **** do I go about this ridiculous situation!?!?!

You can authorize one computer for more that one account.. To do some thing you will have to sign out of one account in iTunes>Store>Signin/SIgn-SIgn out
