2 days with my iPod Touch
I received my iPod touch 16 Gb on sunday from a friend who just came back from the US. With the euro/dollar rate change it was quiet a nice deal. Anyway I have dreamed about getting one ever since it came out but waited for an editable calendar to be offered… As soon as 1.1.2 came out I decided to go ahead. I've been reading posts on this forum for about 2 months to make sure I knew just about everything about this device and I was anxious to set it up… Well what a nice and smooth experience it was. Everything went as it should be :
- Perfect iPod (no dead pixel, no screen problem)
- Easy to set up, immediately recognised by my Mac, very fast sync (6 gig), easy upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2
- Although I had seen videos and pictures, the GUI is just amazing. The screen is bright ans crisp
- Having my music, home made films, photos, address book, calendar… and all this running with OSX in my pocket is just a thrill.
On the "I wish they would do things about this" I hope that Apple :
- fix the alarm (only work after a restart but as soon as you sync it to iTunes it becomes mute again)
- the registration in iTunes wich keep on asking me to register my iPod everytime I connect it
- a multi colored iCal + a week view + a "to do list"
Well done Apple, I cannot wait for future upgrades.

Now while you were waiting for us to slowly get around to answering you, you could have downloaded the manual for the ipod, so that you understood the function of the mail sync options in itunes. Mail sync only copies the settings needed to access your mail servers, from the mail client on your computer, over to the ipod touch. It does not copy any actual mail messages, and does not copy any settings from the ipod back to your mail program. The advanced section is meant to be used if you have messed up the settings on the ipod itself. It will ignore any changes to bookmarks, contacts, or mail settings depending on which you check, and will copy new information to the ipod. So in your case if you are able to access, and send mail correctly from the account on your mac, then clicking on the sync mail account button in itunes as well as the replace info on this ipod whatever in the advanced section should transfer over the correct mail account settings to your ipod.

I accidentally went swimming with my iPod touch
I accidentally went swimming with my iPod touch 4G. I lost it in the ocean, and then we left. My friend found it in the ocean the next day, and he put it in rice for two weeks. Then I got it back, and in the beginning, when I attached it to my computer, it had the red charging symbol indicating very low battery. Later on, even that stopped. Then my friend came over and suggested I take it apart. So we did that, and when we put it back together, it still wouldn't work.
Any advice?lol, roam... btw, you seem to know alot on ipods based on your point count... can you answer my question???

Can No Longer Connect Wirelessly to ITunes With My IPod Touch
While I can connect to the Internet with my IPod Touch through my router, I cannot seem to connect to ITunes wirelessly. My device only shows when I have it connected through the cable directly. The Apple help site hasn't been much good, as they suggested to completely uninstall ITunes (I followed their instructions implicitly) and re-install. Same problem. Not sure if this has anything to do with the new OS....but it's suspicious.

Funny thing is, my desktop is hard wired too, but for grins and giggles I put iTunes on one of my laptops, and used the laptop to reset my iPod to factory settings. Wireless synch still didn't work....
What really aggravates me is when you go to the KB to find out how to troubleshoot an issue, the articles are pretty much blank. Click here, set that, but no real explanation of how stuff works or what can cause it to break....
One thing I have noticed is the KB article says that after you tell iTunes to use Wireless Synch if you don not eject the deivce, it will stay connected when you unplug it... I never saw that behavior.... -
I have been having a lot of issues with my iPod touch. Whatever I purchase on my iPod I can't seem to transfer it to my iTunes library. If something should happen to my iPod, I wouldn't want to lose all of the music I have purchased. I can't upgrade it either because a box pops up that says everything will be erased from my iPod... I need help!
Might be an authorization issue in iTunes. Try deauthorizing your computer through the Store menu at the top of iTunes and then authorizing it again. Once that is done try transferring purchases from the iPod Touch.

I got an iphone 4 a week ago and i havent hooked it up to itunes yet until today. I plugged it into my computer and itunes doesnt reconize it. My itunes syncs just fine with my ipod touch but it wont sync with my iphone at all. How do i get my iphone 4 to sync to my itunes?

I can not activate my ipod with my Apple ID, it tells me that my account can not activate this device, but my apple ID is OK.
The proposed me as ipod help entering previous credentials, but the ipod is mine from the beginning, in fact I have my ballot, not bought down to another user.
Actually I do not know how to activate it in Chile were unable Store MacOnline solve my problem, it is for this reason that I am writing to see if someone can help me.

How do I get this beta IOS 7.0.2 JUNK TO WORK with my iPod touch 5?? I was prefectly happy with my iPod until I got the notice to upgrade itunes to 11.1 and would you like to upgrade your iPod from IOS 6 to IOS 7. And like an idiot I took the little green pill and pushed the button. Now I can't open iTunes, some apps; like the Lindsey Sterling app, Safari and Disney don't work either (not that I care about the Disney one, but, it's part of the base setup, you'd think "IT" would work!) almost anything with video links will not open, iCloud can't find me. All I get is that annoying white screen. I'M NOT HAPPY! I could have bought a Windows machine for a lot less money and have the same problems!?! (I'll bet Mr. Jobs is spinning like a top right now!) And I have goggled-- found a few fixes: re-install, restore, etc. found one that stated to get iTunes back to go into the iPods setting by double ckicking the home button go to iTunes app and sign out, then sign in again-- those options didn't work. If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

My Reminders app will not open. When I try to open it, it quits and gives me an error message: "Reminders quit unexpectedly while using the CalDAV plug-in." My Reminders is synced with my iPod touch, and it is fine on that. How do I fix it?
Also, the Calendar is loading very very slowly, and sometimes it quits and gives me the same error message as above.The problem has been fixed with the most recent OS X software update.

I have Itunes set up to sync with my Ipod touch and Ipad. As of today, iTunes has started searching to sync with an iPhone, which I don't have and pops open with an error message stating it cannot locate the iPhone to sync. I have looked in devices and only the iPad and iPod Touch are listed. Any ideas on how to stop iTunes from searching for any iPhone it is never going to find? It is annoying to have it popping up all the time with the error message. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
I have an iPod Touch and an iPad4. iTunes recognises both items and lets me work with the iPod Touch but won't work with the iPad. In fact iTunes does not respond to clicking on anything in the iPad window even though it knows that it's connected. Any ideas?

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99. Likely not worth it for a your iPod. They do not fix yours.

My daughter is currently using my Apple ID with her ipod touch. I will be upgrading her to an iPhone 4S and would like to use a different Apple ID and a new computer and still keep all the current music and Apps that she has now. How do I do this?
Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one. -
Hello I have a problem with my ipod touch 1G the problem is that see me key to the floor! And when recogi not prendia after 5 minutes prendio but it gave to me the surprise of which the battery had finished completely! What I did was to set it to load with the USB but do not load the battery me the icon of the battery appear and below of her the beam that indicates that this being loaded but this way I have left it the whole yesterday and what goes of today and continues without loading anything!
