2 defective Macbooks in a row - defective batch confirmed, but no replacement
Hi.
Last year I've bought a Macbook White, after having 3 other Apple computers. In the first 3 months the display started to show some white spots and, suddenly, a dead pixel. In 3 months of use. I've sent it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider, they change it after 2-3 weeks and then the spots and a brown-burned spot appeared at the dock area. I called Appleline and they told me that, according to the serial No., my computer was part of a DEFECTIVE BATCH - but they wouldn't exchange it unless I send it to the service provider for 2 more times. In other words, they KNEW my product was defective but they would NOT replace it for me!!
I called the product reseller and they - the reseller, not Apple - offered me to exchange it, so I did, paying an extra fee to get a newest model (hoping that it was off of the so-called defective batch).
But again, my new Macbook started to show the same little white spots and the brown spot on the display, so I sent it again to an Apple Authorized Service Provider - and that's where my computer stayed for the last 2 weeks, with no perspective of being repaired because Apple did not send them the new part to mount.
So, is it what they call an "Apple Standard"?
And after 3 weeks of delay, my new Macbook finally came from the "Apple Authorized Service Provider", where it stayed untill Apple Inc. sent the new display to fix it - but now the display is WORST than it was before.
What a horrible, horrible quality control.

Questioning about defective batch
Hi,
I have been an Apple user (iPhone 4s) in the last 2 years maybe? and im wondering about the issues customer got (some of them) after buying an Apple product at launchday or few days after that. Don't take my iphone 4s as a "defective one", oh no, its perfect and probably because i bought it a few months later after the official launchday (and iPhone 5 came along, jeez). And my question is, by your experience, does most apple products that has just been launched turned out to be defective? does this trend occur consistently, and how long do you think is necessary to avoid these defective batches, and acquire a perfect batch? It's because I live outside U.S and only official resellers are available, and I'm worried that they don't have return policy. And having to return Apple product and getting a new one (if they have return policy) and then it turns out to be defective as well, is annoying ,really. And I am planning to buy an iPad Air.Never had any issues with any Apple products being defective regardless of when I bought them-launch day or otherwise.

Rows per batch and Maximum insert commit size
Have been reading various post to understand what the properties 'Maximum insert commit size' and 'Rows per batch' actually do and am confused as each have their own explanation to these properties. As far as I understood, MICS helps SQL server engine to
commit the number of rows specified to it and RPB is to define the number of rows in a batch?
In case I set the property to say RPB - 10000 and MICS - 5000, does this mean the input data is fetched in a batch of 10000 and each time only 5000 are committed?
What happens in case of RPB - 5000, MICS - 10000. Are the batches formed for each 5000 records and committed for each 10k records?
One post mentioned on RPB being merely a property to help SQL server device a optimal plan for data load. If this is true then why have the MICS property? Instead RPB can be assigned a value and engine decides on what is best load method it wants to use.

Maximum insert commit size specify the batch size that the component tries to commit during fast load operations. The value of 0 indicates that all data is committed in a single batch after all rows have been processed. A value of 0 might cause the running
package to stop responding if the component and another data flow component are updating the same source table. To prevent the package from stopping, set the Maximum insert commit size option to 2147483647.
Rows per batch specify the number of rows in a batch. The default value of this property is –1, which indicates that no value has been assigned.

What is the difference between rows per batch and DefaultbufferMaxrows in data task? Is there any relation between these two?Rows per batch : It is the number of rows fetched under single operation to optimize the query plan.The rows per batch should be as close to to total amount of records in your source table.
The default value for this setting is -1 which specifies all incoming rows will be treated as a single batch. You can change this default behavior and break all incoming rows into multiple batches. The allowed value is only positive integer which specifies
the maximum number of rows in a batch.
DefaultBufferMaxRows : Defines the maximum number of rows in each buffer, by setting the
DefaultBufferMaxRows property. The default maximum number of rows is 10,000.

I got new hard driver for my MacBook I don't have the cd but I do have flash drive that has the software I need help because when I turn on my laptop it shows me a file with question mark how can I install the software from the flash driver?
Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer -

If you use an HDMI cable, the audiostream will be integrated, so there will be sound when using an HDMI cable!
Not necessarily. That only works as stated if you have one of the most recent MBP's that has a built-in HDMI port.
If the MBP only has a Thunderbolt or miniDisplayPort, you need an appropriate adapter cable and even if you use an HDMI adapter or cable to connect to your HDTV there is no guarantee it will carry audio. You have to determine if your specific MBP model supports audio out through its miniDisplayPort or Thunderbolt output, and whether the adapter does likewise. -
i got macbook pro 13" i bought in 2011 but its now getting slow when i start up or when shutting down .and apps takes time to open like just bouncing????????

How can i get a pdf from my iPhone to my new macbook? I keep trying to sync but it says it will delete all the books/pdfs on my phone. I don't have this pdf on my computer and don't want to lose it. I am using the same iTunes account. Any suggestions?

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

Material forgot to tick the batch management but the GR and IR is done

Material A should be in batch managed but the settings in the material master is forgot to ticked. PO is created as well as GR and IR is already completed. The invoice is posted and according to finance it is paid already and cannot cancel the invoice anymore. When trying to tick the batch management in the material master, an error is "Stocks already exist at plant level". Checking also MMBE, stocks showing in the Open Order quantity since the GR is cancelled.
Is there anyway I can tick the batch managed in the material master?to set the indicator is less restrictiv than removing it. so just make the inventory in current and previous period zero.
you can see how much inventory you have in thosee 2 periods in MM03 valuation view or plant stock view.

My Airport wireless is working for my two MacBook Pros and my daughter's iPod, but our iPad, Iphone and other iPod all say they need to set up an Airport Base Station but do not have the proper software. I'm not sure what to do to remedy this situation.
This might sound like a silly question, but are you sure the iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch etc.) are still trying to connect to the same network from your own Airport router, as the MacBook Pros are? If you tap Settings on them, is the network name next to where it says Wi-Fi, the right one?
I've got a weird feeling that either in the past couple of days, a neighbour got an Airport device and hasn't set it up yet (causing your iOS devices to try to help), or that perhaps there's an issue with your Airport router and they're noticing it and trying to help out, while for whatever reason, Airport Utility isn't opening itself on the MacBook Pros like it normally should if there's a problem.
If you open Airport Utility on one of the MacBook Pros, does it report any problems with your Airport device, and can you view/edit the settings on it? -
