2 different select statements

I'm needing to use a if statement in a sql query. I have written an if statement to handle it but it won't work I think due to the 2 statements return different values. How would I make this work:
ALTEr PROCEDURE [dbo].[spBookings]
@callAgentID VARCHAR(3),
@optionReg nvarchar (20),
@optionRank nvarchar(20),
@optionBook nvarchar(20)
--@TaxID VARCHAR(50)
AS
Begin
if @optionReg= 'All' AND @optionRank='All' AND @optionBook='Not Booked'
BEGIN
(SELECT ID, RegNo, OwnerName AS OwnName, OwnerSurname AS OwnSurname, OwnerCell As OwnCell, DriverName As DriveName, DriverSurname
As DriveSurname, DriverCell,TaxiRanks AS Rank, Region, Area, Model,Reward FROM Taxis WHERE callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2<
GETDATE()
OR callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2 IS NULL
OR callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2='')
ORDER BY Taxis.ID
END
if @optionReg != 'All' AND @optionRank='All' AND @optionBook='Booked Boet'
BEGIN
SELECT
Taxis.ID,
Taxis.RegNo,
Taxis.OwnerName AS OwnName,
Taxis.OwnerSurname As OwnSur,
Taxis.OwnerCell As OwnCell,
Taxis.DriverName As DriveName,
Taxis.DriverSurname AS DriveSur,
Taxis.DriverCell,
Taxis.TaxiRanks As Rank,
Taxis.Region,
Bookings.Complete AS Comp,
Bookings.CampaignID AS CampID,
Bookings.ID AS JobNum,
Taxis.RankBookedAt,
Bookings.SlotDate As Date,
Bookings.SlotTime As Time,
Bookings.SmsStatus AS Sms,
Bookings.Reward
FROM Taxis INNER JOIN Bookings ON Bookings.TaxiID=Taxis.ID
WHERE Taxis.callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Taxis.Value2> GETDATE() AND Bookings.Active='y')
Order By Taxis.ID
END
END

Try the below:
ALTEr PROCEDURE [dbo].[spBookings]
@callAgentID VARCHAR(3),
@optionReg nvarchar (20),
@optionRank nvarchar(20),
@optionBook nvarchar(20)
--@TaxID VARCHAR(50)
AS
Begin
if (@optionReg= 'All' AND @optionRank='All' AND @optionBook='Not Booked')
BEGIN
SELECT ID, RegNo, OwnerName AS OwnName, OwnerSurname AS OwnSurname, OwnerCell As OwnCell, DriverName As DriveName, DriverSurname
As DriveSurname, DriverCell,TaxiRanks AS Rank, Region, Area, Model,Reward FROM Taxis WHERE callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2<
GETDATE()
OR callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2 IS NULL
OR callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2=''
ORDER BY Taxis.ID
END
if (@optionReg != 'All' AND @optionRank='All' AND @optionBook='Booked Boet')
BEGIN
SELECT
Taxis.ID,
Taxis.RegNo,
Taxis.OwnerName AS OwnName,
Taxis.OwnerSurname As OwnSur,
Taxis.OwnerCell As OwnCell,
Taxis.DriverName As DriveName,
Taxis.DriverSurname AS DriveSur,
Taxis.DriverCell,
Taxis.TaxiRanks As Rank,
Taxis.Region,
Bookings.Complete AS Comp,
Bookings.CampaignID AS CampID,
Bookings.ID AS JobNum,
Taxis.RankBookedAt,
Bookings.SlotDate As Date,
Bookings.SlotTime As Time,
Bookings.SmsStatus AS Sms,
Bookings.Reward
FROM Taxis INNER JOIN Bookings ON Bookings.TaxiID=Taxis.ID
WHERE Taxis.callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Taxis.Value2> GETDATE() AND Bookings.Active='y'
Order By Taxis.ID
END
END
The conditions separated by OR has to be wrapped within barckets otherwise it wont work as intended
ie like below
.....WHERE callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2<
GETDATE()
OR (callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2 IS NULL)
OR (callAgentID = @callAgentID AND Value2='')
ORDER BY Taxis.ID....

  • 1 Conditional report based on 3 select lists/ 3 different select statements

    I have made 1 report based on the three select lists. The report is displayed in the center of the page. The user needs to fill them in order, the select lists are:
    Selectlist:
    1. P1_LOVPG - Null is allowed, but is only appearing at top with a label of Productgroup
    2. P1_LOVSG - Null is allowed, but is only appearing at top with a label of Subgroup
    3. P1_LOVMA - Null is allowed, but is only appearing at top with a label of Manufacturer
    LOVPG contains a distinct collect of the ProductGroups
    QUERY LOV = select distinct pg from X
    LOVSG contains a distinct collect of the SubGroups inside the selected PG.list
    QUERY LOV = select distinct sg from X where pg = :P1_LOVPG
    LOVMA contains a distinct collect of the Manufacturers inside the selected SG.lst
    QUERY LOV = select distinct ma from X where sg = :P_LOVSG
    Based on the the selected items the user would see the following:
    Table X
    PG SG MA ART
    A-----X----M---1
    A-----X----N---2
    A-----Y----M---3
    A-----X----M---4
    B-----X----M---5
    B-----Y----N---6
    B-----Z----O---7
    Seletion 1 PG = A -> selects PG A in select list result, User sees:
    Report A
    PG SG MA ART
    A-----X----M---1
    A-----X----N---2
    A-----Y----M---3
    A-----X----M---4
    Query would be: select * from X where PG = :P1_LOVPG
    Selection 2, user still sees the above, can only select from the SG select list NULL, X, Y. User needs to choose between X or Y value. He picks X, he sees:
    Report B
    PG SG MA ART
    A-----X----M---1
    A-----X----N---2
    A-----X----M---4
    Query would be: select * from X where PG = :P1_LOVPG and SG = :P_LOVSG
    Selection 3, user still sees selection 2 on his screen, can only select from the MA list bewteen NULL, M or N, user needs to choose between M or N. He picks M, he sees:
    Report C
    PG SG MA ART
    A-----X----M---1
    A-----X----M---4
    Query would be: select * from X where PG = :P1_LOVPG and SG = :P_LOVSG
    As you can see the query changes as the user goes deeper into the structure. It is a simple if then else system where the quey changes. How do I set this up in htmldb?
    (I've read something about Oracle's SQL and it's decode function, but can they be used with changing select statements?)

    are you sure your data meets the JOIN conditions?
    You can make a quick check.. only example...
    select single * from KONP into ls_konp
    where knumh = P_knumh.
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
    select * from from A905 into table lt_a905 where
         kappl in so_kappl
         and kschl in so_kschl
         and VKORG in so_vkorg
         and vtweg in so_vtweg
         and kondm in so_kondm
         and wkreg in so_wkreg
         and knumh = ls_konp-knumh.
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
    select * from A919 into table lt_a919
    for all entries in lt_a905
    where kappl = lt_a905-kappl
    and kschl = lt_905-kschl
    and knumh = lt_905-knumh.
    endif.
    endif.

  • Creating multiple datasets using mulitple select statements as part of one macro / stored procedure

    Hi,
    I am working on a report what has 10 datasets derived from 10 different select statements.
    Is it possilbe to save those 10 select statements as a macro / stored procedure and then use that macro to generate those dataset in the ssrs report builder ?
    AshishSinghal

    Hi AshishSinghal84,
    According to your description, you want to write multiple select statements in a procedure, then use the procedure as dataset in the report, right?
    According to my knowledge, when we write multiple select statements in a procedure, we have to create relationship between these select statements, otherwise it will only return the first one query's fields. If you are using SSRS 2008 R2, you can use Lookup
    function to display these fields from different datasets on one data region control, but the prerequisite is that you must have one common field. For more information about lookup function, please see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee210531.aspx
    If all these solution you cannot achieve due to your special condition, the last workaround is to use subreport to display all the fields together.
    If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Conditional Mysql select statement

    HI Folks
    can anyone point me in the right direction with a MySQL statement.
    I will try to layout my thinking here:
    I have a form with three inputs area, name and search. I am trying to write a Mysql select statement that selects records from a single table if they match the criteria. Easy for two variables but I'm lost after that.
    1. The form includes these three inputs:
    area - drop down menu (Any as default)
    name - drop down menu (Any as default)
    search box - text area (Blank as default)
    2. The form submits to itself leaving me with these three variables
    $search=$_GET['search']
    $area=$_GET['area']
    $name=$_GET['area']
    SELECT * FROM database WHERE database.description LIKE '%$search%' AND database.area LIKE '$area' AND database.name LIKE '$name'
    3. This is where I get confused. How do I get the SQL to Select everything correctly. I have tried using PHP if/else code to fix it but I end up running around in circles with six different Select statements and haven't yet got that to work.
    So I have come to the conclusion that there must be an easier way.  I see search forms with dozens of  search criteria on websites every day an d I only have 3 - so it can't be this complicated. Right?
    I know I need to start from the beginning again but can anyone let me know how to approach it before I begin?
    Cheers
    Dave

    Typically, I would build the where clause dynamically, based upon the values in your form. If the form field contains 'Any', leave it out of the where clause. So you can test each field value and either append or not to the end of the where clause.

  • How to generate mutiple Results for multiple SQL SELECT statements

    I just downloaded SQL Developer 1.5 and play around with it.
    On a daily basis, I need run 4 different SELECT statements and dump the output of each SELECT into an CSV file and send to some users. In SQL Navigator, I can select all 4 SELECT statements and execute them at same time. Once all complete, I will see 4 tabs, each represent the output for each SELECT statement. Then I can export output from each tab into a CSV file.
    It seems that SQL Developer 1.5 still can't run mutiple SELECT statements and display the output of each statement into a separate "Results" tab so that I can export the data into multiple CSV files easily.
    Right now, I have to hightlight each SELECT statement and press F9, then export the output data into CSV.
    I wish I can execute 4 SELECT statements all in once on SQL Developer and get all the output data and export 4 times into 4 CSV files.
    Thanks!
    Kevin

    How about doing it as a set of tabs within the Resuls Tab?
    So you would have your Top row of tabs:
    Results, Script Output, Explain, AutoTrace, DBMS Output and OWA Output
    Then When you have the Results tab selected you could have a row of tabs beneath the Top row with one tab for each result set. Switching between result sets should switch which section of SQL is highlighted as the "Current SQL".
    A similar mechinism could be employed for each of the top level tabs where it makes sense to have multiple output tabs.
    A further refinement of this feature might be to allow the result tabs to be dockable within the parent tab so that multiple result tabs can be viewed simultaneously. This way 2 or more explain plans (for example) could be visually compared without requiring the code to exist in two separate code panes.

  • Output in different order than in select statement.

    I'm executing the following query. Just wondering if I'm missing something:
    select a.constraint_name, a.table_name, a.r_constraint_name, b.column_name, c.table_name, c.column_name from user_constraints a
    inner join user_cons_columns b on (a.table_name=b.table_name and a.constraint_name=b.constraint_name)
    inner join user_ind_columns c on (a.r_constraint_name=c.index_name)
    where a.r_constraint_name='QUE_PK' and b.position=c.column_position
    order by b.position
    (replace QUE_PK with your own primary key referenced in a foreign key)
    The columns appearing in the resultset are in different order than in the select statement.
    They came as follows: constraint_name, r_constraint_name, table_name, table_name, column_name, column_name. If I aliase one of the column, the result set is ok.
    I'm using version 1.1.0.23 on Ubuntu 6.10 against a 10g r2.

    To double check, you can go to <sqldeveloper>/system/oracle.sqldeveloper.1.1.0 (this may be <user_dir>/system/oracle.sqldeveloper.1.1.0 on your computer) and delete all of the *TableSettings.xml files. That will erase any custom column orders that you may have saved.

  • Write a SELECT statement in different ways is not the same thing!!!

    Let's take a look
    use AdventureWorks2012
    go
    dbcc freeproccache
    go
    and now select something
    select * from [HumanResources].[vEmployeeDepartmentHistory]
    go
    so, analyzing 'Compiled Plan'
    SELECT usecounts, cacheobjtype, objtype, text
    FROM Sys.dm_exec_cached_plans
    CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(plan_handle)
    where cacheobjtype = 'Compiled Plan'
    ORDER BY usecounts DESC;
    GO
    and now let's write some SELECT in "fuzzy case"
    dbcc freeproccache
    go
    select * from [HUMANResources].[vEmployeeDepartmentHistory]
    go
    select * from [HumanRESOURCES].[vEmployeeDepartmentHistory]

    go
    SELECT * from [HumanResources].[vEmployeeDepartmentHistory]
    go
    select * FROM [HumanResources].[vEmployeeDepartmentHistory]
    go
    and now let's see compiled plans again
    SELECT usecounts, cacheobjtype, objtype, text

    CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(plan_handle)
    where cacheobjtype = 'Compiled Plan'

    So, write a SELECT statement in different ways is not the same thing!!!
    Hope it'll be useful

    Yes.  There is little or no query normalization that happens in front of the query plan cache.  It would be a performance tradeoff to parse and normalize the query before matching it to the cached plans.  The benefit of reducing the number
    of plans in the cache probably wouldn't be worth it.

  • Number of rows inserted is different in bulk insert using select statement

    I am facing a problem in bulk insert using SELECT statement.
    My sql statement is like below.
    strQuery :='INSERT INTO TAB3
    (SELECT t1.c1,t2.c2
    FROM TAB1 t1, TAB2 t2
    WHERE t1.c1 = t2.c1
    AND t1.c3 between 10 and 15 AND)' ....... some other conditions.
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE strQuery ;
    These SQL statements are inside a procedure. And this procedure is called from C#.
    The number of rows returned by the "SELECT" query is 70.
    On the very first time call of this procedure, the number rows inserted using strQuery is *70*.
    But in the next time call (in the same transaction) of the procedure, the number rows inserted is only *50*.
    And further if we are repeating calling this procedure, it will insert sometimes 70 or 50 etc. It is showing some inconsistency.
    On my initial analysis it is found that, the default optimizer is "ALL_ROWS". When i changed the optimizer mode to "rule", this issue is not coming.
    Anybody faced these kind of issues?
    Can anyone tell what would be the reason of this issue..? any other work around for this...?
    I am using Oracle 10g R2 version.

    You have very likely concurrent transactions on the database:
    >
    By default, Oracle Database permits concurrently running transactions to modify, add, or delete rows in the same table, and in the same data block. Changes made by one transaction are not seen by another concurrent transaction until the transaction that made the changes commits.
    >
    If you want to make sure that the same query always retrieves the same rows in a given transaction you need to use transaction isolation level serializable instead of read committed which is the default in Oracle.
    Please read http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e10471/adfns_sqlproc.htm#ADFNS00204.
    You can try to run your test with:
    set  transaction isolation level  serializable;If the problem is not solved, you need to search possible Oracle bugs on My Oracle Support with keywords

  • Select statement operators in ecc 6.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a small doubt about the '>=' ( greater than or equal to ) operator usage in select statement. Is this operator by any chance perform not as desired in ECC 6.0. Is it a good option to use 'GE' instead of '>='. ?
    It may sound a bit awkward, but still I would like to know. I am facing a situation, which could be related to this. An early response would be highly appreciated.
    I would request,you NOT TO REPLY with links/explanations which says how to use select statement. Only answer if you have the  answers related to this query.

    If the result differs using >= or GE i would open a call at SAP instead of asking in SDN.

  • What is the use of additon in up to 1 rows in SELECT statement

    Hi All,
             What is the use of up to 1 rows in select statement.
    for example
    SELECT kostl
          FROM pa0001
          INTO y_lv_kostl UP TO 1 ROWS
          WHERE pernr EQ pernr
          AND endda GE sy-datum.
        ENDSELECT.
    I'm unable to get in wat situations we hav to add up to 1 rows
    please help me out...
    Thanks,
    santosh.

    Hi,
    Use "select up to 1 rows" only if you are sure that all the records returned will have the same value for the field(s) you are interested in. If not, you will be reading only the first record which matches the criteria, but may be the second or the third record has the value you are looking for.
    The System test result showed that the variant Single * takes less time than Up to 1 rows as there is an additional level for COUNT STOP KEY for SELECT ENDSELECT UP TO 1 ROWS.
    The 'SELECT .... UP TO 1 ROWS' statement is subtly different. The database selects all of the relevant records that are defined by the WHERE clause, applies any aggregate, ordering or grouping functions to them and then returns the first record of the result set.

  • Using if logic in the where clause of a select statement

    I have a select clause. And in the select clause there is a variable all_off_trt that can be 'Y' or 'N'.
    In the where clause I want to make it so that if a form variable is checked and all_off_trt is 'Y' then
    exclude it else if the form variable isn't checked then select it no matter what all_off_trt is.
    Is there any way to include either and if statement or a case statement within the where clause to acheive this? If not is there another way of doing it?
    Basically I am looking for a case statement like this
    case
    when all_off_trt = 'Y' and mail_para.code = 'Y' then false
    else true
    end

    Ok, so that really doesn't solve my problem. I have 3 different fields that I need to do that with. Each combining in a select statement to print an email list, as well as other thing limiting the where clause.
    This is currently what I have, tested and working 100%.
    cursor email_cur is
         select unique p.email,s.all_off_trt,s.all_deceased,s.no_enroll
    from participant p, trialcom t, ethics s
    where p.status='A'
    and p.surname=t.surname
    and p.initials=t.initials
    and s.trial_cd = t.tricom
    and s.centre = t.centre
    and p.email is not null
    and (t.centre in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='CENTRE')
    or 'XX' in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='CENTRE'))
    and (t.tricom in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='TRIAL')
    or 'XX' in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='TRIAL'))
    and (t.role in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='ROLE')
    or 'XX' in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='ROLE'))
    and (p.country in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='COUNTRY')
    or 'XX' in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='COUNTRY'))
    and (t.represent in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='REPRESENT')
    or 'XX' in (select code from mail_parameters where user_name=user and mail_para='REPRESENT'));
    This is in a program unit that runs when a button is clicked. At the end of that I need to add on the 3 case statements that help further narrow down the selection of emails to be printed. Then it prints the emails selected from this statement into a file. So it has to be done right in the select statement. The three table variables are the all_off_trt, all_deceased, and no_enroll. The form has 3 checkboxes. One for each, that when checked (giving the variable associated with the checkboxes a value of 'Y') excludes all emails that have a 'Y' in the coresponding table variable.

  • Questions on select statement in the data model

    Hi,
    In the select statement, the order by statement seems only to work at the lowest level of the select statement. Is this true?
    What is the the purpose of the group by statement in the select statement?
    As far as I understand, the grouping is catered for in the data model.....
    Regards,
    Kin

    From the oracle report docs:
    The order of column values in a default group is
    determined by the ORDER BY clause of the query for
    SQL queries and by the sort column for Express queries.
    For column values in user-created groups, however, you
    must use Break Order to specify how to order the break
    column's values.So order by in your sql query is affected by groups in your data model.
    The purpose of a group by statement in your select statement is to group values for aggregation purposes, like
    select department_id,
           min(salary),
           max (salary)
      from employees
    group
        by department_id
    order
        by department_id;Grouping in the data model of a report is a little different than a group by clause, but not entirely.

  • HOW CAN I  USE MULTIPLE INNERJOINS IN A SINGLE SELECT STATEMENT?

    HI,
    I AM SHABEER AHMED,
    I AM GETTING AN ERROR WHILE I ATTEMPT TO EXECUTE A SELECT STATEMENT WITH MULTIPLE INNER JOINS . BECOZ I WANT TO FETCH ITEM DATA, PARTNER DATA  BASED ON HEADER DATA .
    THEN OF COURSE I HAVE FETCH DATA FROM VBAK VBAP VBKD SO LZ SEND ME THE SOLUTION.
    BYE

    Hi,
    1.Just see this:
    SELECT * INTO CORRESPONDING FIELD OF TABLE itab
    FROM t1 INNER JOIN t2 ON t1f4 EQ t2f4
    INNER JOIN t3 ON t2f5 EQ t3f5 AND
    t2f6 EQ t3f6 AND
    t2f7 EQ t3f7.
    2.But better to use for all entries.It increases the performance.
    FOR ALL ENTRIES
    Tabular Conditions
    The WHERE clause of the SELECT statement has a special variant that allows you to derive conditions from the lines and columns of an internal table:
    SELECT ... FOR ALL ENTRIES IN <itab> WHERE <cond> ...
    <cond> may be formulated as described above. If you specify a field of the internal table <itab> as an operand in a condition, you address all lines of the internal table. The comparison is then performed for each line of the internal table. For each line, the system selects the lines from the database table that satisfy the condition. The result set of the SELECT statement is the union of the individual selections for each line of the internal table. Duplicate lines are automatically eliminated from the result set. If <itab> is empty, the addition FOR ALL ENTRIES is disregarded, and all entries are read.
    The internal table <itab> must have a structured line type, and each field that occurs in the condition <cond> must be compatible with the column of the database with which it is compared. Do not use the operators LIKE, BETWEEN, and IN in comparisons using internal table fields. You may not use the ORDER BY clause in the same SELECT statement.
    You can use the option FOR ALL ENTRIES to replace nested select loops by operations on internal tables. This can significantly improve the performance for large sets of selected data.
    Example for ALL ENTRIES
    DATA: TAB_SPFLI TYPE TABLE OF SPFLI,
    TAB_SFLIGHT TYPE SORTED TABLE OF SFLIGHT
    WITH UNIQUE KEY TABLE LINE,
    WA LIKE LINE OF TAB_SFLIGHT.
    SELECT CARRID CONNID
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE TAB_SPFLI
    FROM SPFLI
    WHERE CITYFROM = 'NEW YORK'.
    SELECT CARRID CONNID FLDATE
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE TAB_SFLIGHT
    FROM SFLIGHT
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN TAB_SPFLI
    WHERE CARRID = TAB_SPFLI-CARRID AND
    CONNID = TAB_SPFLI-CONNID.
    LOOP AT TAB_SFLIGHT INTO WA.
    AT NEW CONNID.
    WRITE: / WA-CARRID, WA-CONNID.
    ENDAT.
    WRITE: / WA-FLDATE.
    ENDLOOP.
    INNER JOINS
    In a relational database, you normally need to read data simultaneously from more than one database table into an application program. You can read from more than one table in a single SELECT statement, such that the data in the tables all has to meet the same conditions, using the following join expression:
    SELECT...
    FROM <tab> INNER JOIN <dbtab> AS <alias> ON <cond> <options>
    where <dbtab> is a single database table and <tab> is either a table or another join expression. The database tables can be specified statically or dynamically as described above. You may also use aliases. You can enclose each join expression in parentheses. The INNER addition is optional.
    A join expression links each line of <tab> with the lines in <dbtab> that meet the condition <cond>. This means that there is always one or more lines from the right-hand table that is linked to each line from the left-hand table by the join. If <dbtab> does not contain any lines that meet the condition <cond>, the line from <tab> is not included in the selection.
    The syntax of the <cond> condition is like that of the WHERE clause, although individual comparisons can only be linked using AND. Furthermore, each comparison must contain a column from the right-hand table <dbtab>. It does not matter on which side of the comparison it occurs. For the column names in the comparison, you can use the same names that occur in the SELECT clause, to differentiate columns from different database tables that have the same names.
    The comparisons in the condition <cond> can appear in the WHERE clause instead of the ON clause, since both clauses are applied equally to the temporary table containing all of the lines resulting from the join. However, each join must contain at least one comparison in the condition <cond>.
    Example for INNER JOINS
    REPORT demo_select_inner_join.
    DATA: BEGIN OF wa,
    carrid TYPE spfli-carrid,
    connid TYPE spfli-connid,
    fldate TYPE sflight-fldate,
    bookid TYPE sbook-bookid,
    END OF wa,
    itab LIKE SORTED TABLE OF wa
    WITH UNIQUE KEY carrid connid fldate bookid.
    SELECT pcarrid pconnid ffldate bbookid
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE itab
    FROM ( ( spfli AS p
    INNER JOIN sflight AS f ON pcarrid = fcarrid AND
    pconnid = fconnid )
    INNER JOIN sbook AS b ON bcarrid = fcarrid AND
    bconnid = fconnid AND
    bfldate = ffldate )
    WHERE p~cityfrom = 'FRANKFURT' AND
    p~cityto = 'NEW YORK' AND
    fseatsmax > fseatsocc.
    LOOP AT itab INTO wa.
    AT NEW fldate.
    WRITE: / wa-carrid, wa-connid, wa-fldate.
    ENDAT.
    WRITE / wa-bookid.
    ENDLOOP.

  • How can I call a Page Process from the Select statement for Report Page

    I'm able to call a javascript using the below:
    img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#add2.gif" border="0" alt="Icon 4" onClick="javascript:add_connect1('||CPORT.ID||')"
    But Now,
    I'd like to accomplish (2) New things:
    1. instead of using,....... onClick="javascript:add_connect1,
    I'd like to call a Page Process, onClick=
    2. I'd like to be able to call two different processes onClick.
    a. onClick="javascript:passBack('||ID||')"
    b. onClick= <Please see my question #1 above>
    Can someone please help me with the syntax for this,
    If indeed it can even be done?
    Thanks- Gary

    Greg.
    It seems that my situation is the one you describe in you second paragraph, where you mention:
    you could then add the ID column value as a parameter to the javascript functionBut,
    I do not know how to reference the variable in my javascript nor how to use it in my on-demand process.
    If you can hellp me past this last little bump, then I think I will be able to use these skills in Sooo many different areas of my design.
    Here's what I've got so far:
    A. In the select statement I identify the javascript as:
    onClick="javascript:connect_port('<font color=blue>''||ID||''</font>')";
    B. In my javascript I have this:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function connect_port(ID)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=CONNECT_PORT',0);
    gReturn = get.get();
    get = null;
    </script>
    C. In my on demand function I have this:
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO CCONNECTIONS_B
    BLDG_ID,CLST_ID,PORT_ID,STRAND_ID
    ) VALUES
    :P2004_BLDG_ID,:P2004_CLST_ID,:P2004_PORT_ID,:P2004_STRAND_ID1
    END;
    You can see that I dont know how to use the value for 'ID' in either the javascript or the On-Process function.
    If you can help me out with this one, Then I can imitate it for the rest.
    -Gary
