1) is there any way how to submit bugs for portal server?
2) URLScraperProvider has synchronization problems:
a) It is calling wait() on 'this', when the HTMLFetcher has not finished yet [there is probably only one instance of Provider for many channels!]
b) HTMLFetcher is later notifying provider that he has finished already.
c) If there are 2 or more URLScraper channels on one page, they call notify on this one instance of provider, what causes that either of channel thread is waked up. Bad thread is sometimes waked... This causes problems...

2) actually this doesn't help:
2a) in our portal example URLScraper doesn't scrape the content of the same JSP, so the synchronisation in JSP doesn't help.
2b) also in the case of scraping a content of the same JSP it doesn't work. still the instance of HTMLFetcher can wake up bad channel thread.
3) actually, i fixed it somehow already... i spent 5 hours by looking for the bug, so i wanted only to submit this bug... to help others to avoid the same problem :)

How do I tell FiIrefox to only restore a sesson of more than one tab, and disregard the restore of a single tab session (ie. closing the browser)

I am on the beta channel of Firefox (currently 17.0, by the about window) and I cannot seem to find a way to limit the size of a browsing session that is automatically restored when re-opening the browser. In the past, Firefox would only save sessions of more than one tab when closing the entire application, and ask me about restoring said session when restarted. Now, Firefox seems to treat a session of just a single tab the same, which is a preference I dislike, given that I use a blank start page to great effect.
I am using a number of addons, including Tab Mix Plus, which specifically modifies tab behavior (although I have it configured to use Firefox's default session manager), but the problem persists even with all addons disabled.
I cannot seem to find an option in about:config to change this behavior. Is this a permanent change within Firefox, and if so, is there or will there be an option to specify the number of tabs that constitute a session that will be automatically saved?

Make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent session restore from restoring a crashed session.

Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.

AppleScript copy alpha channel from one document to a second document

I have two documents. One with Alpha Channels, the other with none. I am trying to copy the alpha channels from one document into the second.
When I use the following in PS 6, the action duplicates the channels in the same document, not in the second document. I am using PS 6 with both documents open in tabs. Any help appreciated.

I can now copy-paste text frames and linked graphics from one document to another using snippets, but embedded images still don't work.
If I embed an image from a pdf file it works but not for jpeg images. When I open the new document (for which I placed the snippet) in InDesign, there is a frame (with a dark grey background and a diagonal cross) shown, but no contents. The place() method did not throw an exception. What am I doing wrong?

Assigning Multiple channels to one Camapign

Hi Gurus.
We have a requirement for our business where the marketing user would like to assign multiple channels to a campaign. Is this possible.
Ex. Marketing dept creates a campaign would like to target all existing customer. Now they want to execute this campaign through, telephone, e-mail, etc.
My question is it possible and if so how can we assign multiple channel for one campaign execution.
Unfortunately this a urgent requirement and i need to come up with a solution by very quickly.
Your help ment awould be really appreciated.

it is pretty easy,just you have to define the communication channel for all the BPs which you want to use for your segmentation cause.
within those BPs go to the identification tab and therein you just mention all those communication channels details which you want to use for assigning the BP to target group
after you are done with it just assign target group and do the segmenation.
do revert back in case of any doubt

Bug - If more then one tab is open and you try to swap tabs or close a tab Firefox closes completely sometimes. This happens on a desktop and 2 laptops I own.

The first time I reported this was Jul 12. The link back did not work. Since Jul 12 I have been on my daughters desktop, my girlfriends desktop, my laptop and desktop and they will all do the same thing periodically. When more than one tab is open and you try to swap or close a tab Firefox closes completely.
When I re-open Firefox I never get an error message to report back to Firefox support. Most of the time I get the "This is embarrassing" message and the restore tabs works.

If it were the last tab not multiple tabs then it would have been:
If you only had one tab open and id not always show the tab strip, that you would close the tab bar.
Tools > Options > Tabs > [x] Always show the tab bar
Make sure you have that option on, it is easy to restore a tab if you still have the tab bar you or something closes two tabs as you say. To restore last tab use Ctrl+Shift+T , if two tabs restore that tab as well with same shortcut. Rather than fishing around for it in the History menu as a closed tab, closed window, or a previous session.
Another possibility is that if there is one extension that mixed up the options like "Close Tab by Double Click" there are probably other extensions that did that as well. If you had that you might have to use the much larger "Tab Clicking Options" and turn off everything but closing a tab on double-click.

You an upload a spreadsheet with multiple tab and place tags on each tab and all will get converted.

The dialog Firefox displays when you click the "close window" (X) button doesn't have the option to only close the current tab. Instead, you can use one of these methods to close just the current tab:
* Click the "x" that should appear on the current tab itself

With more than one tab open in private browsing, how do I leave private browsing all at once?

Before the latest Firefox update I was able to close a private browsing session by selecting the STOP menu item and checking the appropriate selection in a pop up dialogue box. Now, when I have more than one tab open in private browsing, I can't end the session by selecting STOP. The dialogue box opens and offers a START option instead of a STOP option. The same is true using CONTROL+SHIFT+P. To work around the situation I need to close all but one tab and then stop the session. Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

How to prevent a problen in ONE TAB from hanging ALL FIREFOX ?

The problem is that a problem causing a hang in one tab can hangup all of firefox so I can't do anything. For example, an unresponsive script invoked by one tab (one website) causes all of firefox to stop running., and I can't use the mouse or keyboard to close the one tab causing the problem. Then I have to kill/restart firefox entirely. There should be a way to kill individual tabs without stopping all of firefox. Is there ?

when i open more than 6 windows , they all compress into one tab from where i have to access pages with a drop down menu. i want all the tabs to open up and the individual tabs to appear separately on the tab strip which can be scrolled up or down. thank you

the problem is in the firefox tab strip at the bottom of the page. i have attached two screenshots . when i open more than 6 tabs, they all get compressed into 1 tab. i want all tabs to stay open individually, and the tab strip should therefore have a page scroller icon forming when many tabs open. i have had this in the earlier computer i had, but recently got a new one. now i cant figure how to set firefox to do what i need.

I can only use Flash Player in one tab at a time, only on Firefox.

Recently, when I downloaded the new Flash Player, I can only use flash player in one tab at a time. This is only in firefox. I'll open youtube, and the visual and sound both play perfectly. I open up a new tab, begin using a flash website in that tab, and the youtube sound is quiet, only the visual continues to play. I need to multitask with flash sometimes, and this is a big problem for me. Help!

By default, Flash 11.3 and higher will spin up a lot of distinct processes. You should be able to get quite a cacophony going.
Have you ever done any troubleshooting that involves changing how Firefox works with plugin-container.exe or the Flash player's protected mode?
Often it is helpful to disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash:
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Unrelated, but you can remove the Java Console extensions unless you are a Java developer (and even then, you probably don't need the old ones):

I can no longer close one tab at a time from the file tab. It is no longer an option

The file tab used to have an option to close one tab at a time. It is no longer available in file. If i close using the "X" it closes all of the tabs out.
