2014 web service in cRIO build

I have labview 2014 and a crio 9023.  In the developer mode I can run the rt.exe and the developer mode web service that sits on the crio.  Then I can have my pc app talk to the server. All three programs work together, but then I make a build......
Question 1
In the web services dialog I check my server, configure the ports, but then I need to look for the ssl certificate.  Since I'm using labview's generated ssl cert on the crio, I enter the cio name/ip address to query the for the ssl certificate but none are found.  Something I'm missing here?  So I just enter the path in the box provided to the ssl certificate on the crio c:\ni-rt\system\niwebcer\server_certs\server_0.cer and proceed.
Question 2
I build and deploy.  The crio is running indicated by the user led on the controller.  I also put RT Debug String in my server startup application so that every 2 seconds the startup vi outputs the time of the last update from the rt.exe.  So now I know my server is running.  But this server does not show up in the web based - web server configuration page?  Is the web server config page for standalone servers only or should I see my integrated server that is tied to my build?
Question 3
I change the webserver port that my pc app is directed to, and run the program.  Unfortunately the server is not found.  If I use the "show URL" button in the project, copy that url into explorer, I still get a server not found.  Do the paths change for a build besides the port? Do I need to include my server method VI's in the build?
Thanks

Got somewhere:
1. I leave that blank and let the crio use the "default" what ever that is.  I can not get the the it to query and find the certificate.  Couldn't resolve this question.
2. That page seems to be for standalone servers only. A unique server tied to the application does not appear here.
3. The ports I selected in the web services page of the build were already taken by the system/application web servers.

    Hello
I am trying to figure out how to Find the webservice for my SSRS 2014 Installation from Visual Studio 2013.
    I looked at this article
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155398.aspx
And it seemed to say I should use:
    http://<machine name>/Reports_<Machine Name>/ReportService2010.asmx?wsdl
I am doing this from the Add Web Reference part of Visual Studio 2013
When I do this I get the error
There was an error downloading 'http://<machine_Name>/Reports_<machine_Name>/ReportService2010.asmx?wsdl/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/$metadata'.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.
    Thanks in Advance.

    http://<machine name>/Reports_<Machine Name>/ReportService2010.asmx?wsdl
    Hello Dick,
The second <Machine Name> should be the "<Instance Name>" instead, if you are using a named instance of SSRS. If it's a Default instance, then use simply
    http://<machine name>/Reports/ReportService2010.asmx?wsdl

  • A problem with building a web service with netbeans

always a problem occurs when i try to build a web service server side.
build is perfect .but when i said run the project there is an error occurs:
"Deployment error:null. See the server log file for details."
error link goes me to this row in the build-impl.xml file of the project:
    <nbdeploy forceRedeploy="${forceRedeploy}" clientUrlPart="${client.urlPart}" debugmode="false"/>
i am waiting for your help.

Being a total novice on the https/SSL configuration side of things, I've finally managed to dig down to the fact that our external partner of course needs to have a certificate installed in order to run https.
I guess the browser did not prompt and ask for acceptance of this, because it was already verified through one of the standard issuers - VeriSign.
So was then able to export the certificate through IE's Properties>Certificate>Details>Copy To File...
Will then try to import this into the correct domain on the WebLogic server.
(A quick test of the web service from the EM console worked fine. Strange then that executing the service through a partner link in bpel does not work, but I guess it may have to do with a local bpel being exposed as a web service in itself, and that security on both sides is called for... maybe... :-) )

  • Problem with building web service control

Hi i am using a web service control for invoking a web service. the application builds correctly from workshop and i am able to talk to web service. However, when i exported the ant build file from workshop and tried to build the application from prompt using ant, it gives me follwoing wrror -

[wlwBuild] [Build] Error at line 9 column 18:
Has anybody encountered this error? What could be the problem cause the workshop build works fine.

    I solved the problem :-)
it happened due to JAVA_HOME env var. It has to point to jdk that comes along with wl812. mine was pointing to sun jdk 1.4.2. However, this is a bug, because, for wlwlbuild task , i was setting the proper bea java home, still it was failing due to system java_home var. And i did not face this problem with WL813. After facing lot of issues with 812, now i feel, 812 is not a stable production version.
Anyways, now the prob;em is solved.

  • Does the latest cFP product offering support web services like the cRIO?

I'm wondering if the cFP family supports web services like cRIO.  I used cFP with LV8.5 a few years ago and there was no support.

    Hello,
Yes you can. The process for running a web service from a cFP RT controller is the same for a cRIO.  The procedure is documented in the article Running a Web Service from a Real-Time Target.  Let me know if you have any questions.

I have had this issue before when calling a .NET service, it was firewall related. I didn't actually make the fix so I can't tell you exactly how it was fixed on the server. I hope this info makes sense as this this the info I got from the IT boys
I’ve install this tool on your computer:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=05C2C932-B15A-4990-B525-66380743DA89&displaylang=en
    which does that:
Firewall Client for ISA Server can be optionally installed on client computers protected by Microsoft ISA Server. Firewall Client for ISA Server provides enhanced security, application support, and access control for client computers. It provides authentication for Winsock applications that use TCP and UDP, supports complex secondary protocols, and supplies user and application information to the ISA Server logs.
When a client computer running Firewall Client for ISA Server makes a request, the destination is evaluated by the Firewall Client software, and external requests are directed to the ISA Server computer for handling. No specific routing infrastructure is required. Firewall Client sends user information transparently with each request, enabling you to create a firewall policy on the ISA Server computer with rules that use the authentication credentials presented by the client. ISA Server allows you to configure automatic discovery for Firewall client computers, using a WPAD entry in DNS or DHCP to obtain correct Web proxy settings for clients, depending on their location.
and I’ve added a exception in IE to the tools-lan settings-advanced-exceptions to be creditworks.* Did this by modifying the GPO that applies to your account, so all the users in National Office should have that exception.
    hope you can use this.
    cheers

  • Fusion adf page invoking web service can't pass WS-Security

I am using Fusion ADF web service data control build a page to invoking a Fusion web service call, and keep getting this error:
Client received SOAP Fault from server : InvalidSecurity : error in processing the WS-Security security header
While testing in soapUI, it works with username, password and Ws-Password type set to ‘text’.
I have been playing with adding different security Policies within the web service Data control, though no luck so far.
    Any advices?

The problem is that now, with Weblogic Server the project is divided in two...
And the import goes with the BPEL.JAR and not with EAR files to Weblogic SoaDomain.
Someone knows where I can find some documentation about this issue ? This maybe could be a "bug" when deploying Human Tasks to Weblogic Appserver ?

  • Problem in stubbing out Soap Web Service

    Hi,
I have a problem stubbing out a SOAP web service in Flash Builder 4.  The problem is that not all the classes are created.  This happens when a base class is referenced by a method in the schema.  The classes that extends the base class do not get created.
Here is an example: method doSomething returns a class called ResponseBase.  Even though MyResponse, which extends ResponseBase, is in a xsd which is referenced by the WSDL, MyResponse class is not created as value objects.
Another example is: method doSomething takes a parameter called ParamClass.  ParamClass contains a property of type SomeClassBase.  MyClass which extends SomeClassBase is not created even though it is defined in an xsd.
Does that sound like a limitation of the Flash Builder 4?  Is there another way to create the proxy classes from a web service?
    Thanks,
    Ming

    Sekar,
    I have the same problem.
How did you change your web service as Anonymous?
I have a user id and pwd, i tried by appending end of the service and tried with basic authentication by passing uid and pwd. No luck.
Can you please help me how to change web service as anonymous?

  • BPM 's Web Service Layer

    Hi all,
I had a question on Process As a Web Service.
We build this web-service in BPM and the WSDL is auto-generated in BPM.
But what is the underlying method that BPM uses to convert usual Java or Fuego Data Types to SOAP i.e. to XSD?
Is it using EJB3 or Axis or something else?

Oracle BPM uses Axis. Here is the information from the manifest.mf file included in the axis.jar that comes with OBPM

  • XDB Native Web Services - Collection of object types

    Hello,
my DB 11g (11.1.0.6.0) is enabled to use XDB Native Web Services, everything works as it should. I already use it successfully to publish a web service with object types as OUT parameter. They are created as complex types in the XML response as described here: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm#CHDGBFID]
But what I need is a collection of these object types, e.g.
I have a type FLIGHT with some information elements (departure, arrival, date, time, price) and I have a web service function GET_AVAILABILITY with parameters departure, arrival and date. What I want is to return a collection of FLIGHT objects, it could be none, one or many flights for a request.
For the moment I create another object type which contains a fix number of FLIGHT objects to work around the collection issue:
    create flight_tab_typ as object (
    fl1 flight_typ
    ,fl2 flight_typ
    ,fl3 flight_typ
I tried to build a PL/SQL table of object type and also a VARRAY of object type but for both the WSDL of the web service cannot be build up correctly in the web browser. For me it seems that this is not supported by the Native Web Services.
I know I can build up my own XMLTYPE with XML structure as OUT parameter but to use object types is much easier and it builds up the XML structure automatically.
Does anybody know how to use collections (VARRAY or PL/SQL Tables) with the Native XML DB Web Services?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Hi flea,
I use complex types with XDB native webservices. Here is an example. Using people/groups objects. I haven't compiled this so there may be some typos etc, but it should give you the idea.
Beware!I have had problems with the created WSDL file in that it doesn't always include the namespace from all types. In many client packages ( JDevloper , SOAPUI etc) this causes a wsdl import failure.
You can add the missing namespace by hand a load the WSDL file locally and then it should work. I haven't raised an SR with Oracle about this yet.
Assume you create the following under SCoTT schema on machine host.com on port 8080.
The webservice[WSDL] will be available from
    http://host.com:8080/orawsv/SCOTT/WEBSERVCIES/GET_GROUP[?wsdl]
For other peoples sanity it took me a little while to realise the WSDL url is case specific. E.g. the schema, package and functions have to be UPPER case.
    create table people_groups_tab (group_name varchar2(40 char),first_name varchar2(40 char),last_name varchar2(40 char))
    insert into people_groups_tab values ('FINANCE','Joe','Bloggs')
    insert into people_groups_tab values ('FINANCE','Bob','Jones')
    insert into people_groups_tab values ('IT','Alan','Andrews')
    create or replace type person_obj
    as object
         first_name people_groups_tab.first_name%type
         ,last_name people_groups_tab.last_name%type
    create or replace type people_obj
    as table of person_obj
    create or replace type people_groups_obj
    as object
    group_name varchar2(40 char)
    people people_obj
    create or replace package webservices
    as
              function get_group
         p_group_name varchar2
              ) return people_groups_obj;
    end;
create or replace package body webservices
    as
              function get_group
         p_group_name varchar2
              ) return people_groups_obj
    as
    l_group people_groups_obj;
              l_people people_obj;
    begin
              select person_obj
                        first_name
                        ,last_name
              bulk collect into l_people
              from people_groups_tab
              where group_name p_group_name;

    soapencoder broken?

    Best regards, Janne

I am having the exact same problem. The SOAPEncoder is adding
an additional tag and the server thinks the envelope is not
properly formatted and therefore does not know what to do with it.
Is there any fix for this yet? Or has it even been reported as a
    bug?

  • BC4J as Web Services

    Good day...
Ok... I am wanting to explorer putting all of the BC4J on SOAP and expose them as a web service. Then build client applications to take advantage of the web services. How feasible is it to do so. I haven't yet begun the process of doing this, but am looking forward to any feedback. The portion that I'm concerned about is taking advantage of the connections that exist with a client application talking with a class(es) that contain the BC4J, yet in reality talking with a web service instead. I understand the concept of taking a class and making a service, I'm just curious about this type of use.
Has anyone had any experience or have any suggestions for me to begin?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    Jeff,
Your scenario above can be easily handled with features BC4J has today. Let me give you a quick list of the "ingredients" you would use to expose web services that your java client could interact with.
    [list]
[*]BC4J AppModules can have custom service methods
[*]These methods can take any serializable datatype as arguments, and return any serialized datatype
[*]In particular, you can write a service method that accepts an XML Element (which can be the root element of an entire XML document), and it can have a return type of XML Element.
[*]You can visit the AppModule editor's "Client Methods" tab, and publish one or more of these custom service methods to clients
[*]You can easily create a Web Service Class for your Application Module using the right-mouse menu. This creates a class that automates using our application module pool in a stateless way to interact with your custom appmodule methods from anywhere on web via SOAP.
[*]You can publish this Web Service Class as a web service using the New Web Service wizard
[*]You can deploy this Web Service to Oracle9iAS
    [list]
Then, any SOAP-capable client (be it your own Java application, or any application written in any language) can point at the WSDL description for the web service you created above, and invoke it over the web through the appropriate client-side web service stub that their client-side development tool environment provides.
In the case of JDeveloper, you can author a Swing client that collects the data you need, and passes it to the middle tier by invoking the web service above. To create the client stub to be a "consumer" of the web service above, just use the "New | Web Services | Web Service Stub" wizard in JDev.
Mike's comment above means that our current JClient data binding mechanism does not seamlessly support binding to queried data in the same way that a highly-functional database client interface might today over our EJB-deployed-AppModule approach (using RMI-over-IIOP as the remoting protocol instead of SOAP), however the approach of having your client interact with web services can still get you quite far (and possibly, all the way depending on your needs).
